Blue Talisman

Man, fragantica really smokes something. How the hell is this a feminine leaning fragrance? Oh come on. Fresh, slighty fruity pear, smooth ambroxan-musky-heavy fragrance, with a woody drydown that screams masculinity. The ambroxan here is the clear example of you going anoxic from time to time but it is doing its work beautifully because people smell you by miles away. Fulfilling its purpose of one of the beastly compliments getter fragrances out there. Can't believe how many compliments I have gotten from this, and I am not that into compliments (I don't seek it like some people who get upset about it and judge fragrance solely based on whether they receive complaints or not). The musk enhances the airiness. It makes the fragrance much more complex than people give it credit for. Like in no way in hell this is that simple or basic. The idea is simple but there is enough depth, quality and complexity in here to somehow justify its outstanding price but of course I would go for discounters. The woody drydown, screams Jordi Fernandez signature. The usage of the cedar note and how it is blended here smells really similar to the cedar in Lucius by Fragrance Du Bois but lighter and accompanied by other slightly earthy woody notes that smell something like pachouli but it aint it; I imagine it is the Akigalawood doing its thing; Clearly noticeable. Performance is phenomenal. But again, you go anoxic or lose the sense of smell with it, sometimes which may confuse some people. This does not happen that much to me because of the way I spray fragrances. I mean, I don't spray on neck, but clavicles accommodated with fabric; frabics also help make the ambroxan much more noticeable. is it overrated? I first I thought so, but the more I use it the more I'm convinced the hype around it is clearly justified. Also, the extrait version, kind of like make it deeper and sweeter, almost a bit gourmand-floral but looses its appealing in my opinion. That one is a slightly more feminine version of the EDP. What about the dupes? Bunch of them; the infamous Art of the Universe, Turathi Electric (way sharper) for example, none of them come close to this. But if that satisfies your needs, and you lazy nose thinks of Blue Talisman as simple and lacking complexity, then yeah go for the dupes and enjoy them.

Fragrance Journal Entry #200 This will be my final fragrance review. Before i get into the scent i want to explain...i told myself once i've owned/sampled 200 fragrances that i would be done. This hobby is a blackhole, it's a never ending hunt for "the next best thing". I've decided to simply enjoy the ones i already have and get rid of all the ones that rarely get worn. Do yourselves a favor and set a limit, once you hit that limit then log out, unsub all influencers and invest your time and money into more prosperous endevours, this addiction will never fill that void. The biggest problem is there's about 2 major brands (L'oreal & Estee Lauder) that control the entire designer market, they own at least 80-90% of the fragrance releases giving a false sense of competition. This eliminates the need to create unique artistic scents and instead everything feels akin to everything else while the prices continue to rise...they are charging $200usd for new releases and it's the purest form of corporate greed i've seen. All that in combination with the oversaturated clone market is just over whelming. Thank you to those who followed my journey, i hope you found my reviews informative..just remember scent is subjective. Sorry of some seem rushed or lack depth, i've been burnt out on the whole "fragcom" thing for a while now. Now as for Blue Talisman... This stuff is incredible and it's my all time favorite scent, the perfect modern blue fragrance that doesn't get boring, mass appealing, long lasting and yes even unique. It's a sweet synthetic pear, floral ambroxon scent that checks all the boxes. You can wear it anytime anywhere and it just works...with all that said Maison Asrar makes a clone that's probably 95% close so if this is too pricey just grab that one, but i do prefer BT. I bought a decant of this a while ago and didnt really give any thought to it other then sweet pear and sunscreen. BUT, i came back to the decant, and couldn't stop sniffing my damn hand. Something clicked with this frag, and knew i needed a full bottle. Bought it off Olfactory for 310 USD for the 100ml so a little below retail. This is a sweet, fruity, musk scent. Im a sucker for that sedly/vibrato fizziness, this has a slight ginger fizz to it. Im also a huge sucker to orange and orange blossom, so its this very refreshing citrusy orange thats paired with the sweet pear (ha). It is unisex, which isnt bad, i personally would want it to be a little more woody but thats just me. Its bright and uplifting, and slightly blue, fruity, soft and musky. If i wear to create my own fragrance i would pull alot of inspiration from Blue Talisman. Its like mixing Musk Therapy with a sweet realistic pear, and adding that slight uplifting fizz to it. I love it, you could wear this out, your bf could wear this your gf could wear this, its bright and genuinely perfect for any occasion in the heat. i personally wear to work, school, the gym or just going out. Im biased ik, but I love it. 9.5/10 Scent 7/10 longevity 5/10 price overall 8.5/10

Love this, instant daily wear/dumb reach for me in the summertime or any warm/hot days. Sprayed this and the extrait on and after an hour I preferred this over the extrait so I got the EDP. I think the extrait might be more wearable year around, I could see it in the winter/cold weather even, so I might pick that up in the fall too because I really love this dna (but owning both is probably redundant). The EDP felt really airy/refreshing and the extrait felt like 'denser' to me. Definitely see a lot of people coming down hard on this fragrance in the reviews for influencers shilling this one, but I don't have an instagram/TikTok so I don't feel like I was riding the hype, I think it really is a great fragrance. Really unique, to me at least (I am admittedly not super knowledgable/researched on fragrance, I just smell a bunch and buy what I like). Longevity is really good. In my top 3 for warm weather fragrance for sure. That said, definitely would like this to hit the discounters, and I wouldn't like stretch your budget to get this, its great, but there are cheaper fragrances that aren't the same, but just as good in other ways (I'd say the same about almost any fragrance over $350 for 100ml though).

I've loved this fragrance for awhile, but could never justify a full bottle purchase. Tried a few dupes, but they never got the formula right, and the few I tried ended up being too strong on the cloying citruses, smelling like air freshener residue in Uber rides. However, I kept on going through my samples, until I finally decided to bite the bullet on the EDP over the extrait, which a lot of other commenters seem to suggest doesn't really share the exact characteristics of the EDP. I'm not really sure what people are talking about with the legitimate fragrance smelling like soap, cheap air freshener, etc. It's a distinctly refined, fresh fragrance, with a piercing, addictive quality-maybe because of the ratios of pear and basenotes. Almost aquatic, so it leans ever-so-slightly masculine over pure unisex or feminine. Anytime I've smelled it on others, 'in the wild', I immediately, internally reflect on just how much of a well-executed fragrance it really is. I generally try to avoid over-hyped fragrances, and quite often put off by more exoteric fragrances, but the attention to this one is completely warranted.

In the opening, pear is prominent, followed by ginger, a slightly sweet mandarin, and bergamot clearly noticeable. After a while, georgiwood and orange blossom clearly emerge, adding a very subtle woody and floral feel. In the base notes, musk adds a beautiful touch, softening the harshness of the perfume along with the pear. The other base notes also complement the perfume beautifully, especially cedarwood. This scent reminds me of my hometown. I was born and raised in a Mediterranean village, and this scent reminds me of the smell of the fruits my mother prepared when I came out of the sea as a child. At that time, the scent of orange blossoms and trees in the village would reach my nose through the wind, creating a similar smell. Overall, it has become one of my favorite summer perfumes in my collection, and it is also suitable for use in all four seasons if you live in a place where the winters are not too harsh. My overall rating is 10/10

Top scent, fresh, airy with some controlled sweetnesses from the fruits here and there, very very well balanced. Perfectly unisex i don't know what people have. Maybe they had some other expectations (due to the notes) than what it really was when they tested it. If you're more into citrusy/gentleman/after shave type of fragrances, you'll find this feminine of course. But this is not feminine by any mean for my personal taste and i try to not put some feminine leaning fragrances on me. Some men tend to judge a fragrance feminine just because it doesn't scream classic masculine. Most of the time these are western men and they think it will make them more of virile males, in the middle-east they have a different approach regarding this topic and as you know, arabs are far from being feminine men. So test it and don't trust people on fragrantica. Performance is ok nothing special, there's not a big concentration of perfume oil in it i think.

Sweet, musky, clean, and fruity magic. I completely fell in love with it. It’s technically unisex, but honestly I think it suits women much better. It would fit anyone who wants to smell sweet, elegant, and radiant. I understand why some people call it synthetic, but it’s not the kind of synthetic scent that feels heavy or suffocating. It carries the magical and energetic vibe of relaxed, carefree summer vacation days. The scent reminds me of the feeling you get when life finally starts going your way again and you go on a vacation with your young love. It’s incredibly enjoyable to smell, gets compliments very often, and is definitely very crowd-pleasing and addictive. It feels as if the fruity, soapy scent of your shower gel lingers on your skin after a shower, gradually warming up throughout the day and leaving behind a soft, clean, and subtly sweet trail around you.

In a love hate relationship, tried it in store a minimum of 3 times and it all lasted extremely long and smelled amazing. Went in to the same store in the same week as the last time i tried it and bought a 100ml. Now this bottle barely lasts. With that said, It smells amazing like I’ve never smelled something so airy and unique in a fresh and mass appealing way. Did lotion beforehand and it increased longievety and got a compliment at a football game ( soccer for you americans) To me it opens up with that pear and citrus amazingly for about 15-30 min, then turns into this peppery slighlt floral and not candy fruity but almost pear zest fresh peary aspects, then it turns into clean fresh musks for me. Would still absolutely recommend. If you like some of Byredos fragrances I think this is right up your alley.

I don't think I've ever smelled anything as pleasant and likeable as Blue Talisman. Admittedly, not the most unique nor daring composition, but who says every scent should be thee most pioneering and ground breaking creation instead of just smelling objectively good. Rarely do I buy into the hype surrounding any scent, but this one totally deserves it. Considering the fresh scent profile, I'm also totally content with the performance (and let's just say, I'm not easily impressed in this department, lol). A single reapplication will get you through the day, which is better than most scents in the genre. Ps. As an owner of Bois Imperial, Blue Talisman bears no resemblance to it. Two totally different scents from two totally different genres, serving two totally different functions.

These debates on whether Blue Talisman is overrated or not are silly at the end of the day, because it’s all about what genre of fraghead you are. If you’re a guy who only wears the darkest, most masculine, most mature fragrances, or you’re a niche-head who only wears the most challenging, esoteric fragrances, you’re going to hate Blue Talisman. But if you’re a guy who is open to more fruity, floral, clean, gender neutral scents - I’m talking fans of Byredo, L’eau d’Issey, LV California Series, Neroli Portofino - you’ll love it. I happen to love it. I tried it out at a department store before I was aware of the hype, and I was blown away. The sillage cloud is just amazing. Finally have my own bottle and I couldn’t be happier. Screw the haters.

This is by far, probably my favorite fragrance that I own and have ever smelt. It also just happens to be the one I get most complimented on. That being said, I work in healthcare and you need to have something that is pretty unisex and not abrasive. Even in that setting, projects well and people give me compliment after complement... both men and women. It is fresh and sweet and the presence it holds can make it lean more manly. It is an easy go to every day fragrance that it will please everyone in the room, including yourself. I can literally not stop spelling myself when I wear this. I highly recommend this. It is absolutely worth the money. I will never not have a bottle of Blue Talisman.

This fragrance is very fresh, uplifting and crisp in the opening, which is a part of my taste. The dry down gives a more sunscreen-ish vibe which I also enjoy. The citrus, pear, and ginger on the opening is very noticeable, the it dries down to a really musky, almost powdery fruitiness with the pear still being there, the touch of woodiness also gives an oomph to the whole scent. If you have the bucks to go for this, I would recommend it especially for the ones who like the sunscreen type of freshies. If you want a more budget friendlier one in that sense, you might want to check on the dupes. Oh, and this scent is totally unisex. So for a male like me, I would LOVE to smell this on a female.

how on earth can someone not like this? its like the perfect versatile fragrance and you can't offend anyone with this smell. Of course it doesn't deserve its price like any other niche fragrance but it doesn't change the fact that the smell is amazing for everyone. It does its job, gets you lots of compliments and it does it without having that "masculine" type sharp smell. It is a clean, fruity and fresh smell with good longevity and it forms a nice scent bubble around you. but it's totally unnecessary to spend hundreds of dollars for just a fragrance, there are couple alternatives and they are just as good. if you think you have to spend this much, i would recommend the smell.

Well shit. This one was so far off my radar, I had never even smelled the bottle in the store these last few years (and I sniff and sample a LOT OF FRAGS 😅). For some weird unexplainable reason this did end up in a sample order I did and two days later: 💥 full bottle 💥 It must’ve been a sign from I don’t know who or where but it was love at first wear. This is perfection for pretty much anything and everything during these warmer months. It has a little sweetness, some woodiness, pinch of fresh citrus, very wearable and a crowd pleaser but not a cliche or melting pot of all things too trendy. Longevity and projection are good as well, got a few compliments on this as well.

I own and have smelled a lot of fragrances, and this is still one of my favorites in my entire collection. It’s less abrasively citrus forward than the LV offerings others have mentioned, with that prominent pear note adding a juicy sweetness. It’s perfectly unisex and is the ultimate work-appropriate complement machine. Fresh and clean. For those complaining about the price point... why are you even here lol. It’s a niche luxury house. The price is the least surprising part about this fragrance. For the quality and longevity that you get with this fragrance, I personally feel like it is worth the upfront cost... at least as much as any other niche/luxury fragrance.

God this is SOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOOOOD. The longevity is incredible, and the way the scent evolves the longer it's on your skin. It's the kind of scent where, if I put my nose near where I sprayed it, I can't get a good sense of the scent. But when I catch whiffs of it in the air around me, it stops me in my tracks. It's so beautiful, and I'm so glad this works well on my skin. I'm obsessed. Something about the dry down reminds me of the parts I love about delina exclusif, without the overwhelming, headache inducing risk that comes with delina exclusif. I'm not sure what note is causing that similarity for me, but I want more of it on my perfume shelf.

Opens with beautifully blended notes of pear, bergamot, mandarin and a touch of ginger. The opening is bright, fresh and effortlessly elegant. As it develops, delicate orange blossom emerges alongside Georgywood, which lends the fragrance a subtle ambery character and a modern woody edge. It then settles into a seductive base of musk with warm ambery and woody accords. Longevity on my skin is around six hours, with noticeable projection throughout. This is a truly beautiful composition, and I love it so much that I’ve already ordered a full size bottle. It’s one of those fragrances that completely won me over from the very first spray.

Reviews by people with complexes always crack me up—their ramblings are usually just plain stupid. Blue Talisman is an absolute masterpiece. No Arabic stench even comes close to it. Blue Talisman smells like a fragrance fit for a king and a queen. It smells like twilight, like a crisp chill, like the most expensive stone that is gorgeous in its own natural beauty—like a diamond warmed by human touch. It’s a fragrance that commands distance, gets tons of compliments, and is a total unisex. And honestly? I’d rather have one single fragrance for my whhholaaa life than a thousand cheap knock-offs from an Egyptian market stall.

A delightful summer scent with a lovely fruity mandarin opening. Perfect for daytime outings, summer parties or a evening barbecue with some friends. In the summer it checks all the boxes, good projection and superd sillage to leave your scent lasting but not overpowering. In my opinion the perfect clean fragrance, nothing too unique or special however that fruity pear and mandarin mix is seductive and utterly addictive. A very high price but in my opinion completely worth it, if you don't want something too offensive but just that perfect summer scent then try this one out - plenty of compliments as well

After smelling in stores and not being particularly blown away (due to about 300 other smells going on) I gave in to the hype with this and bought a bottle for a steal off Vinted. I must admit, each time I wear this, it's growing more and more on me. The sharpness at the top, now I can smell it without any other distractions, is absolutely beautifully blended with the pear, ginger and orange notes. The dry down is a cosy, fluffy cotton vibe, with a musky undertone which actually leans more masculine for me on the dry down. Wonderful creation - there's a reason for the hype.

Men who say this is too feminine likely never get any action and probably think being macho and roided out is what women want in a guy. This is perfectly unisex, very slightly leaning masculine to my nose. It's fresh, happy, sweet, and smells like a summer in Santorini. Men: as a young, hot woman with other hot women friends who concur with me, unisex scents like these are what women like to smell on dudes if you so care about that dumb stuff. Wear what smells good to you. That being said, it is steep in price, but if you have the means to buy it, why tf not

I am so surprised ginger is listed as one of the last notes, vote wise. All I get is this really strong (but delicious in my opinion) ginger scent with woody and orangy background. It's fresh, but still lasts quite a long time. Still trying to decide between this and the Extrait (which actually smells very different to me: same base, but much more coconutty / sandal / vanilla). I'd layer them if buying both wasn't so ungodly expensive. I'm definitely going to be getting one or the other though.

Is it great ? - yes , is it overpriced ? - absolutely Top tier modern freshie , staying power seems to be solid , the projection I can’t confirm yet since no one I know is wearing it and I am becoming anosmic to it in 30minutes. No idea why the synthetic nature of the fragrance is mentioned as "cons" , like it or not ,this is where the perfumery is going... same applies for Ganymede , Delina , Valaya , Bois imperial etc ...all of them are synthetic but done right scents.

It’s. So. Good. I have Fleur Narcotique, and have tried a couple other of this house, not having found another that’s as good. I think this one is even better. But not so much so that I’ll let Fleur sit there. It’s her fraternal twin, smells nothing alike...but it checks the same boxes for me. It’s got something really addictive about it. Maybe this is the Splendid Night to Fleur’s bright sunny day. Please try it if you love Fleur.

a friend of mine had a sample of this and let me use it one day. it was so unethically good that my world fell apart when i saw the price tag. most freshies can be immature and have you smelling like a high schooler, but Blue Talisman brings a maturity to the game that should've been there all along. i could wear this all day every day. i could fucking drink this stuff. absolutely incredible introduction to Ex Nihilo.

Swear down Afnan Turathi Electric has to be the closest thing to a 1:1 dupe I've owned and tested extensively. However, this OG lasts longer. Easy reach, any time of year during the day. Females do tend to compliment this scent on me more than gentleman, I also work in a hospital with majority of my peers being female. IT"S MY REVIEW LEAVE ME ALONE. I love this fragrance and will probably own a bottle no matter what.

80+ perfumes and have finally found my signature scent, no more. Love it, the only fragrance I’ll ever buy again! Update: one regret; bought 50ml, but I fixed that and already ordered 100ml, can’t get enough, hope they don’t discontinue. Update again: don’t want to hear about clones, they will never match or out do this perfection, only my opinion And Lauraaa ⬇️ to me even though it’s not cheap it is by far worth it

I like it, though I'm still trying to fall in love with it. The scent profile is very unique, but the dry down comes off a bit too sweet—at least to my nose. I just wish the base note were less jammy. As for longevity, I'm not entirely sure. It doesn't last very long on my skin—maybe four to six hours at most. Still, despite that, it's a great perfume overall because of how unique it is.

Me personally i dont get much of that pear i mean its there but it disappears right of my skin when i spray it.Citrus is all i get but thats okay.Is it super expensive?Yes for that scent profile which is boring id say its not really worth it.But if you dont have anything that smells similar to this then id say go for it it gets compliments and it performs well on MY skin!

I own both the EDP and Extrait de Parfum versions of Blue Talisman and both of them are amazing. The EDP still has the longevity and projection the Extrait has. The difference is this one is softer and easier to wear. Definitely perfect for a daily or signature scent. To me it smells the same from the opening to even the next day. Will definitely stick to your clothes.

I know people hate on this fragrance but they are honestly just hating cause it is popular. It is that good. Im a guy and girls love it on me every single time. Yet it is still unisex. People also think its too expensive for what it is but at a designer price point where are you getting something as high quality and well performing. You're not. It is that good.

This is one of my favorites. The kind of fragrance you put on and instantly feel fresh—but not just fresh... it smells like money, like pure elegance. It gives you this clean, elevated vibe that makes you feel put together, like your whole life is in order. If you already look good, this just makes you feel twice as confident and determined. Fav summer scent.

I just took one sniff and bought this immediately. To me and in my opinion, this is such a stunner and worth every penny. This is not linear or boring to me, this is smooth, juicy, spicy and I’m enjoying every layer in between. I will 100% be enjoying this fragrance (as I am at the moment) I live in south Florida and this is perfect for the warmer weather.

As a Bi man, yes. Girls would love their man to smell like this. It has this masculine and very gentle man vibe. A gentleman. This is very inviting and cozy and pleasant for girls to smell on a man for some reason, but let’s not ask scientific questions. If youre a guy and wanna get a girl to melt on you, this is it. The ultimate girls magnet smell imo.

This is easily one of the best fresh fragrances of all time to my nose. Its got that pear, some citrus, some musk and woods to finish it out at the end. Quite addictive and one that I often reach for more than anything else. I love this, its easily a 10/10 for me. Price point is pretty steep to justify buying multiple bottles so just keep that in mind.

Blue Talisman EDP is very likable unisex fragrance. The pear note is bright and not too sweet, very easy on the nose. Good looking, clean and well mannered people kind of scent, imho. The performance is also excellent and justifies the price tag. Don't blind buy if you are into heavy woody or dense unique scent profile.

This is the best and most unique smelling summer fragrance right now on the market! the blend and the overall composition is luxurious and super high quality. If you appreciate high end perfumery, go for it, this is love at first spray! Congratulations and a big thank you to Jordi Fernández!

Seductive and commanding, i get a rollercoaster ride lasting 8ish hours of the best perfumery one can get their hands on. Every head has to bow and every mouth has to speak, this blue talisman is a generational dna release that clones dream of touching. Ex nihilo cooked with this one!

I smell cardimam after dry down but there is no notes or ingredients of cardimam mentioned in it. It projects good in 1st hour and also projects in outdoor but after a hour projection becomes one arm length . I got compliment from it. For getting compliment increase sprays

I got a sample of this in a niche sample box from Bloomingdales and the scent was okay. I decided to get Genre Parfums inspired by sample of this scent called Aquamarine and I love it! The Genre's version smells more fruity on me than the original and last longer as well!

Might just be my favorite scent, so fresh, citrusy with juicy fruits that make it smell so delicious. If you want a fragrance for summer-spring that doesn’t smell generic and boring then this is it. Got a compliment on my first time wearing it even in winter. 11/10.

Not extraordinary but it always brightens my day. There is this addictive scent which is very invigorating especially during summer in the UAE! One of my top 5 faves. Got complimented by no less than my wife ☺️ Initial Rating: 9.93 / 10

The most succulent, toe curling, tart and fruity frag. I swear my mouth waters and jaw tingles when I smell it. I love it on myself, but I become a feral animal when my husband wears it. Absolute banger especially in high heat.

Unisex that could lean feminine but no worse than MYSLF. Men wear BR540 and smell like cotton candy so......stop the hypocrisy. Very nice, soft and a compliment magnet. Easily a signature scent. I give it a thumbs up. 👍

This is about as unisex as they come. I have a hard time believing anyone could not like this even if over sprayed in an office environment. Very professional, soapy soft and clean. Prada Lhomme and and 9PM had a baby.

This is a certified banger! I received a sample and this is probably my favourite fragrance for the summer. I need to compare this and Pacific Chill side by side to see which I enjoy more. 8.7/10

The freshest, brightest frag in my collection. Definitely unisex. Sometimes it feels too feminine to wear, however it's ultra freshness still has a place in my collection for high heat scenarios.

Absolutely phenomenal fragrance. I liked it the first time, but the second time I fell completely in love. It is a compliment machine and it is so unique. This may be number one in my collection.
