Cologne 352

As others have mentioned, this is such a fantastic fragrance. I wasn't too sure about this one when I first tried it; the juniper is very apparent when first applied to the point of being almost abrasive and too zingy but this soon settles down once the florals and woods come through to balance everything out. It's a very clean fragrance, as you would expect from the notes. There's definitely the smell of a crisp, white, freshly starched shirt in the early phases. However, it's in the soft woody base that this perfume really shines. As it develops, the citrus and juniper dissipate to leave a comforting base of wood and musk, with light floral elements adding a touch of softness, without becoming too sweet or cloying. Perfectly unisex, it's a very versatile fragrance that can be worn for a variety of occasions and seasons. Perhaps too safe for some but nobody could doubt it's quality, detail or execution. There are certain similarities to some Maison Francis Kurkdjian perfumes but with more depth of character, mainly due to the juniper. I get outstanding longevity with a good dose of projection for several hours before it settles down to a skin scent. Having said that, occasional wafts of comfort, from this sublime creation. reappear and delight throughout its wearing. Nicely presented, this is definitely a keeper.

That opening - so refreshing. Due to the prominent juniper berry it is cold, crisp, almost metallic (not a smell of metal, but the experience of a cold surface). Top notes last ok given this is a citrusy fragrance. However, I only wish that the juniper stayed a bit longer as it is very refreshing - imagine a chilly glass of cold gin and tonic with a lemon peel, swirling in your hand while a bouquet of white flowers is sitting on the terrace table. Soon it settles into lovely, unisex citruses and white florals, zesty and a tad bitter. Later becomes a clean white woods scent with a touch of orange blossom. Beautiful from start to finish. I was caught by surprise by this scent from Ex Nihilo. As it is not one of their more widely popular or promoted scents, yet so well done and quality on par (if not better) than the MFK line freshies. While I gave away my sample of MFK Aqua Universalis due to the white florals there not agreeing with me well enough, 352 is just right and I prefer this scent much more. Def unisex, but leans just slightly masculine due to the juniper berry. A staple modern classic cologne interpretation.

One of my go-to summer fragrances, it's ridiculously refreshing and cooling, far from the generic types though. The crisp juniper opening cuts through the air in a manner that is almost too sharp. It soon settles down and merges with the lily-of-the-valley note to create this softer coolness amidst the light lemony citrus. The scent is so crisp, and bright, and has this clean almost soap-like feel to it, not that it smells soapy to be exact. This reminds me of a park during the coldest days of winter; trees, benches, and paths all covered in snow, blanketed by a perfect white everywhere you look. It feels like closing your eyes and taking a deep breath of the park's crisp winter air- taking in the freshness hitting your face, the soothing nature, and energising light. Cologne 352 is like a shade to hide in during the hot and humid summer days, but it has a different charm to being sprayed in winter. Feels like it almost emphasises the beauty of the cool winter air, and does oddly well with the colder temperatures, so I actually enjoy spraying it then quite a bit as well.

I own a full bottle from Saks and couldn’t be happier. This bridges the gap between MFK Aqua Universalis and Aqua Vitae. I definitely get high-end tanning lotion vibes, but it definitely sets itself apart from tanning lotion with its sharper and more citric notes. Absolutely some of the highest quality ingredients I have come across, and I have come across a lot... Perfectly unisex and would be a great scent for a couple to wear on a beach walk or in hot weather in general. The longevity is actually pretty impressive, but it does become a skin scent quite quickly, unlike the powerful musky and floral MFK “Forte” fragrances. But that’s why I bought a full bottle, so I can reapply on a whim. I also find this fragrance to be slightly more interesting than the Aqua MFK fragrances because it has more progression. The MFK fragrances seem to stay the same from beginning to end

I wore this today for the first time after receiving my 10ml decant on a blind buy a week ago. At first, after I sprayed it on my wrist to test it out, I was a little underwhelmed. It was just a simple scent, clean, fresh, and nothing to it. Now, I decided to throw it on as a dumb reach because I couldn't decide what to wear, and I'm very glad I gave it a chance! At first, I had those same feelings when I put it on. It was okay, fresh, lacked depth... but after it's dried down, I'm borderline loving it. It's a lot more crisp than I thought, and this is the clean scent that I like. It's almost as if I am fresh from the barber, fresh from a shower, clean, white t shirt, blue jeans, summer day... it's perfect for someone who just wants to go out and smell clean. It's difficult to pick out any specific notes, because it's well blended. I like it a lot, maybe even love it.
