Cologne 352

As others have mentioned, this is such a fantastic fragrance. I wasn't too sure about this one when I first tried it; the juniper is very apparent when first applied to the point of being almost abrasive and too zingy but this soon settles down once the florals and woods come through to balance everything out. It's a very clean fragrance, as you would expect from the notes. There's definitely the smell of a crisp, white, freshly starched shirt in the early phases. However, it's in the soft woody base that this perfume really shines. As it develops, the citrus and juniper dissipate to leave a comforting base of wood and musk, with light floral elements adding a touch of softness, without becoming too sweet or cloying. Perfectly unisex, it's a very versatile fragrance that can be worn for a variety of occasions and seasons. Perhaps too safe for some but nobody could doubt it's quality, detail or execution. There are certain similarities to some Maison Francis Kurkdjian perfumes but with more depth of character, mainly due to the juniper. I get outstanding longevity with a good dose of projection for several hours before it settles down to a skin scent. Having said that, occasional wafts of comfort, from this sublime creation. reappear and delight throughout its wearing. Nicely presented, this is definitely a keeper.

That opening - so refreshing. Due to the prominent juniper berry it is cold, crisp, almost metallic (not a smell of metal, but the experience of a cold surface). Top notes last ok given this is a citrusy fragrance. However, I only wish that the juniper stayed a bit longer as it is very refreshing - imagine a chilly glass of cold gin and tonic with a lemon peel, swirling in your hand while a bouquet of white flowers is sitting on the terrace table. Soon it settles into lovely, unisex citruses and white florals, zesty and a tad bitter. Later becomes a clean white woods scent with a touch of orange blossom. Beautiful from start to finish. I was caught by surprise by this scent from Ex Nihilo. As it is not one of their more widely popular or promoted scents, yet so well done and quality on par (if not better) than the MFK line freshies. While I gave away my sample of MFK Aqua Universalis due to the white florals there not agreeing with me well enough, 352 is just right and I prefer this scent much more. Def unisex, but leans just slightly masculine due to the juniper berry. A staple modern classic cologne interpretation.

One of my go-to summer fragrances, it's ridiculously refreshing and cooling, far from the generic types though. The crisp juniper opening cuts through the air in a manner that is almost too sharp. It soon settles down and merges with the lily-of-the-valley note to create this softer coolness amidst the light lemony citrus. The scent is so crisp, and bright, and has this clean almost soap-like feel to it, not that it smells soapy to be exact. This reminds me of a park during the coldest days of winter; trees, benches, and paths all covered in snow, blanketed by a perfect white everywhere you look. It feels like closing your eyes and taking a deep breath of the park's crisp winter air- taking in the freshness hitting your face, the soothing nature, and energising light. Cologne 352 is like a shade to hide in during the hot and humid summer days, but it has a different charm to being sprayed in winter. Feels like it almost emphasises the beauty of the cool winter air, and does oddly well with the colder temperatures, so I actually enjoy spraying it then quite a bit as well.

I own a full bottle from Saks and couldn’t be happier. This bridges the gap between MFK Aqua Universalis and Aqua Vitae. I definitely get high-end tanning lotion vibes, but it definitely sets itself apart from tanning lotion with its sharper and more citric notes. Absolutely some of the highest quality ingredients I have come across, and I have come across a lot... Perfectly unisex and would be a great scent for a couple to wear on a beach walk or in hot weather in general. The longevity is actually pretty impressive, but it does become a skin scent quite quickly, unlike the powerful musky and floral MFK “Forte” fragrances. But that’s why I bought a full bottle, so I can reapply on a whim. I also find this fragrance to be slightly more interesting than the Aqua MFK fragrances because it has more progression. The MFK fragrances seem to stay the same from beginning to end

I wore this today for the first time after receiving my 10ml decant on a blind buy a week ago. At first, after I sprayed it on my wrist to test it out, I was a little underwhelmed. It was just a simple scent, clean, fresh, and nothing to it. Now, I decided to throw it on as a dumb reach because I couldn't decide what to wear, and I'm very glad I gave it a chance! At first, I had those same feelings when I put it on. It was okay, fresh, lacked depth... but after it's dried down, I'm borderline loving it. It's a lot more crisp than I thought, and this is the clean scent that I like. It's almost as if I am fresh from the barber, fresh from a shower, clean, white t shirt, blue jeans, summer day... it's perfect for someone who just wants to go out and smell clean. It's difficult to pick out any specific notes, because it's well blended. I like it a lot, maybe even love it.

When one reaches a niche collection such as mine, they are very picky about the remaining purchases they make. This is that find that makes me want to let the whole community know that there is a scent that is 100 times better than Aventus. Yes, there are better smelling and more complements with this fragrance. Wow. 10/10 all the way. I can't believe I found this, it's so good that within the first hour I have decided to get a full bottle. I am also so impressed that I just have to order a sample of all the other offerings from this house. I get mostly orange blossom with citrus, LotV and juniper berries, but mostly orange blossom. And it’s very soapy. For fans of this genre, it’s a winner: quality ingredients, very natural with nuclear performance. I’ve grown tired of orange blossom scents that lean soapy, and their are a lot of them out there. If I had tried this two years ago I would’ve gone bananas for it. But my taste has changed, I still like orange blossom but not when it turns to soap. And 352 really smells like laundry drying in the sun. I can see the appeal, but both times I’ve worn this I developed nasal fatigue. Passing on my sample to others who I think will enjoy it.

Alright, I got a sample yesterday. Today I tried on and well... I was not that impressed. And I mean to the point where I was not even interested in writing a review. Yeah, juniper, citrus...meh. Dinner time! Cooking, eating, tv and then I smelled my wrist... Heaven. This is the cleanest, most pristine scent I've smelled in years. I swear, at that precise moment I said: Now I get it, now I know what the other reviewers were saying!! I. MUST. HAVE. THIS. I'm not joking.

In the same vein as Frapin L'Humaniste with its crisp juniper opening but dries down to a soft orange blossom. Very impressive opening but the dry down leaves lot to be desired. Not bad but not great either.TBH for the price and the unremarkable longevity you can find a designer for way less.

Clean and crisp scent. Everyday use. The rose amplifies the citrusy green in it, making you feel like if you are in a summer day with a white crisp linen shirt with nice kaki shorts. Downside, it lasts no more than 5 hours. Try it on a 2 ml decant

Magnificent summer fragrance, to wear on the beach or in the evening for a casual evening. Never intrusive, always very pleasant to smell. Top for the holidays.

A very nice fresh floral rose fragrance.

Subtle, understated, crisp, slightly white floral, slightly peppery. White floral predominates but gently, unobtrusively. Definitely a late spring/summer scent. I can see it on a hot day, worn under a white linen shirt and cotton trousers at a garden party. It barely registers, just sort of inserts itself on skin like .......an unscented moisturizer. Well not completely unscented, just under-scented. After ten minutes: Orange blossom, rose, lily of the valley; definitely a warmer weather collection of notes, like plants in a garden. Balanced by musky, woody, but these are just as barely perceptible. Completely, utterly unisex, neither masculine nor feminine, just very upper crust politeness, well-mannered, soft spoken, considerate. Quite expensive for what it is. $225-$325 a bottle at Lucky Scent in Los Angeles. At the most this should cost about $125.

First Impression: This is a very green cologne. Think crushed leaves in your hands. Smells very natural and clean. Not reinventing the wheel but if you're a wearer of clean EDC's you could certainly do much worse. It really isn't THAT similar to Ginepro. They both have juniper but Ginepro also has lots of spices. If you ask me, Ginepro Di Sargenta is miles better than this one but it's discontinued and prices are getting steep. You can still find it for around 200 I believe, but keep in mind it's more old school and much spicier than Cologne 352.

First Impressions (dabber): I've felt like I've smelled this before, and then I realized it smells like the classic acqua di pharma to me. It's all right, but do I smell anything different? no. Not worth the price considering the price. It kind of smells like clean baby wipes, and the lily-of-the-valley is strong here. Verdict: Maybe full bottle? Edit: actually no, too unisex for me. I like unisex masculine or unisex femme, but this is too safe unisex for me. Also the price is a no being that it’s 355 for 100 ml. Pass

Buoyant Soft sweet smooth white florals over the top of soft sweet vibrant rose that’s been soaked in sweet lemon. Reminds me of a laundry scent - something like Preen shirt spray from the seventies. Lovely - not in your face but high quality and powers away all day at a low volume 10 inches from your skin. From an awesome brand that’s maybe still more niche than it should be. I love their Lait d’ Espices candle - wish they would make it a perfume...

People’s reviews are correct. It’s slap in the middle unisex. Very clean scent and ideal for fresh feeling feel for everyday. Too me it’s missing a additional scent to make it either masculine or feminine... I would wear it yes if it was for free or a steal. Price point it just isn’t justified for this scent.... Kind of like MFK aqua lines... but I do prefer ex nihilo over MFK on this type of profile.

Modern refreshing take on the cologne scent. The perfume opens with zesty Italian lemon and juniper berries. The floral heart is rose, lily of the valley and orange blossom. The perfume settles on a powdery synthetic musk base accentuated by cedar and guaiac woods. The unisex scent has moderate projection and good longevity. Unique easy to reach freshie but also pricey. Enjoy!

This is very good. I get a super fresh, crisp, clean accord of juniper, myrtle, lemon and stella alpina (edelweiss). It reminds me very much of Italian soap and wet shave specialists Saponificio Varesino's Stella Alpina. It is youthful yet mature. It would make a great work scent. It is unisex but leans masculine. 8.5/10 and a Fragrantica score of 4.20 from me.

I usually dont review samples, so I am keeping it quick. This is basically ADP Mirto Di Panarea, but a bit less harsh on the nose. Unlike the ADP, this scent does NOT cause headaches for me despite all the similarities. It's very nice.

Wow it’s been a while. Received a travel kit with this and realise what an almost dead ringer this is for MFK Aqua Universalis Forte only better more involved and longer lasting... and cheaper.... Evolves to a sweet soapy neroli.

Get ADP Mirto di Panarea instead. It's a 352 on steroids and does not lean feminine. Otherwise it's a nice citrus floral fragrance, you can't go wrong with it in summer. But you will probably go unnoticed.

This is a beautiful scent with an incredible opening! It gets faint to the nose fairly quickly but i know for sure others can smell it greatly.

@SPM1091's review is right on the money: Smells nice - perfectly unisex, completely genderless - clean, fresh, everyday vibes - no discernible character, so a scent you wear when you basically don't want to wear a fragrance but you *do* want to smell clean: nobody in your vicinity will assume you're wearing a fragrance, but they will recognise that you smell good - way overpriced, *but*, it is blended very well and doesn't smell cheap, which is the only difference between Cologne 352 and any possible alternatives. An alternative to this that is very close in terms of quality, and WAY cheaper, is Aaron Terence Hughe's "Aura". It is not a 1-to-1 in terms of scent, but the profile and the way you'd wear them are *exactly* the same: they are both 'non-fragrance' fragrances, which sounds like a knock, but even these kinds of fragrances have their time and place.

Yet another sensible release from Ex Nihilo, Cologne 352 dares no one, achieves very little, and delivers a whole lot of "oh, this is nice" for over $200 US retail. The lily of the valley is its only point of interest, but that isn't quite enough to keep me engaged. The smell of starched shirts and fresh laundry are nice enough, but scents like this elicit little enthusiasm from me, and if I would ever hanker them, they are a plentiful in well under the 100 dollar range. Cologne 352 is a socially acceptable, indistinct form of conspicuous consumption.

If this scent were a color, it would be a pastel green... reminiscent of a spring morning when everything goes just right. But only for first 20 minutes-it makes me feel so clean and fresh. However, it's overpriced for what it is...as it quickly dries down to the herbal soap scent that my mom used to keep in the drawers to make them smell nice... it's an ok smell, but if I paid my own money for it I'd cry now : D

I can barely smell it. If it weren't a sample from the official store, I'd think it was a fake. What I did catch a whiff of was a pleasant scent. But I'm not willing to pay that much for it.

This is fruity/fresh. I’m going to narrow it down for you, this smells like guava. I don’t know why lol there’s no guava note. But the entire blend smells like that to my nose.

Cologne 352 is definitely an appropriate name for this fragrance--it is most certainly a cologne, and the least feminine in the Ex Nihilo line of eau de parfums. On my skin, at the outset the citrus and juniper are overwhelmingly pungent and sharp, and within 20 minutes settle into a warmer, sweet, powdery lemon-juniper-wood with the rose starting to come through. The sillage shrunk significantly after that, quite close to the skin, which I found more pleasant than the first sharp blast of citrus and juniper berry. To my nose it is surprisingly like Irish Spring soap, (although this fragrance has only the very subtlest soapy notes). As colognes go, this feels natural and less synthetic, less cloying than many of the scents out there, but on the whole it strikes me as a commonplace collection of notes for me. Although it's an eau de parfum, I can't help making an association with masculine colognes.

Cologne 352 smells like a MFK creation and is a cross between 724, Aqua Universalis and Aqua Vitae (in the lemon zest opening). It’s just even more bitter from the soapy juniper berries but offers a gentle grace from the lily-of-the-valley. I love the soft powdery lily-of-the-valley but dislike the bitter juniper and metallic ambroxan-style shrill. I get no rose just sharp cedar, battery acid lemon, bitter detergent juniper and some chemical musk that’s desperately trying to soften everything. It smells like a deadly throwing star weapon wrapped in a freshly washed white hotel towel. Cologne 352 is too chemical metal-sharp to be a comforting type of clean for me.

Received sample...do not like it, not a pleasant smell, at least on my skin. I actually need to wash this off as it is so bad.

Smells like an expensive toilet cleaner

Very well done but not particularly ground breaking or calling me back for more. Cologne 352 is a very clean and "white" presentation featuring sharp, natural lemon notes in tandem with a lily-of-the-valley that is pretty much polished to perfection as it is simultaneously transparent and ethereal but also quite present and unabashed in its affect. If this is what you're looking for, look no further. It's a white glove serviced garden party in a bottle with above average performance. I'm not a huge fan of white citrus fragrances, such as Creed's Pure White Cologne or Mugler Cologne, so perhaps my final verdict of a mild thumbs up isn't the most accurate evaluation of Cologne 352. At this point I'm looking for something new, and this particular theme just doesn't interest me anymore. Still, there's no denying the precise, flawless execution of this release from Ex-Nihilo, a house which has produced some pretty impressive fragrances thus far and which I will certainly keep an eye on in the future. Worth sampling for sure, and a definite winner in its genre.

This is a more masculine version of Acqua di parma Blue - Mirto di Panarea. Although I don't find it hyper-manly. I like it better than Mirto, but they are quite similar. Whether its worth the extra price tag is subjective. I love Ex Nihlo but I already own Mirto, and its a fraction of the price of this so for me it's a pass since they are so similar. But this is still a great fragrance. The drydown on this is a bit more subtle, rounded, and pleasant imo. Different then each other, but quite similar. Like fraternal twins. AND to the person who said this isn't a pleasant smell?! That just highlights how subjective fragrance is. IMO, if you were to look up the word "pleasant" in the dictionary, you'd see 352's face smiling back at you. (With her evil twin Mirto).

I have no recollection of why this ended up in one of my sample purchases. When I pulled it out of the sample pile I was hoping it would be a barbershop fragrance, but it's nowhere close. This opens with very bright citrus and moderately florals also show up early. I can't pick out the distinct florals very well. Notes say rose is one, and I can believe that, but it's not overpowering here. The longer I wear this, the more the citrus retreats and the florals dominate. If I could stand to wear this long enough, maybe the florals would retreat and I'd get more of the woodiness. Weirdly this overall composition, especially up close, reminds me very strongly of the way cyanoacrylate glue (superglue) smells. It's really off-putting. Definite no for me.

This is a lovely, refreshing and cheerful perfume which is absolutely unisex. It slots neatly into the softer, more floral end of the “cologne” style fragrance spectrum (citrus-wood-floral). I think it is not possible to dislike it and I would encourage anyone who likes MFK’s Aqua Universalis to get a sample of this at least. To my nose this smells almost identical to Aqua Universalis which I also love. Ex- Nihilo is another French perfume house that takes it’s craft very seriously and offer us perfumistas a good range of high quality creations in my opinion.

This is what I’ve been searching for, a summer scent for all ocasiones, day or night. I got the official 7.5ml sample and have been wearing it this week. It is a gorgeous soapy tropical perfume. Very bright, clean and uplifting. Perfect scent BUT.....terrible performance! I tried it all week and hoping I can get past the weak projection and poor longevity. I was even ready to buy it but I’m glad my patience and hesitance worked in my favor for change. The scent is beautiful for the summer but I gotta pass due to performance issues.

This is very nice, sharp and clean. I'm bad for comparing fragrances to others, because I've tried so many by now but I guess my nose still isn't quite developed enough to separate them into notes..anyhow, this reminds me of Acqua Universalis Forte, and Mirto di Panarea by AdP..both are also clean, light, natural smelling and remind me of shower gel. There's something slightly sharper about this one, and less floral which makes it both more towards the masculine side of a still unisex composition, and also more preferable to me

I absolutely love this scent. It is really clean, fresh, and moderntic luxury mood. Starting with greenary-accord and sweet lemon, it leans on skin as very clean and fresh lemon soap. Soapy can means as ordinary and common but COLOGNE 352 has yeah, indeed various and luxury vibes of scent and I can feel it. When I wear this I feel like not just use this only but used more perfume which has greenary and cosmetic scent. So it is really luxury fresh scent and I will adore it more on summer season.

-Light, fresh scent. Unisex. -Becomes a rather linear, but nonetheless uplifting citrus woody in the dry-down. -There's a slightly tart, leafy note in there that might come across masculine for some. -Best suited for lovers of green fragrances. (-)

More intense, long lasting and balanced version of Mirto di Panarea. I love Mirto do I really like this one.

Surprised nobody has compared this to Orpheon. This smells slightly sweeter and less powdery than Orpheon.

Very nice. Quite similar to Eau dynamisante from Clarins. The latter is a bit more soapy.
