A very sophisticated and luxurious Oriental which shines in spite of offering nothing particularly new. The perfume opens with notes of oud and saffron and slowly makes way to an animalic ambergris surrounded rose heart. The perfume settles on a bed of leather, synthetic musk, amber and patchouli. The unisex perfume has moderate to strong projection and good longevity. The well blended scent screams exotic luxury like the exclusive store it is available in. Enjoy!

Yikes, it was very potent upon application! It was like somebody inserted a finger dipped in pickle juice in my nostril. Initially, I've got a nuclear oud and something vomity-sour. After an hour or two it finally settled and turned into a deep amber oud scent. Not a huge fan of it, and oud in general, but the dry down is quite nice. If you love strong oud fragrances, you have the patience to wait for a pleasant base then this one might be for you.

Smelling this in Harrods where it is exclusive to the 6th floor, by the time I have made it to the Ex Nihilo store my nose is pooped, so in its fatigue it doesn't register the ethyl maltol sweet sugary note SCREAMING at full volume. It is only after agonizing about this juice for years and years after not pulling the trigger but years later finding it for a STEAL on mercari and finally getting it home do I notice this dominant facet. It has a mean-spirited nature underneath it, something debonair and compelling but ultimately not friendly or kind. It has a somewhat middle eastern vibe, but is not dense and thick but is rather very transparent and voile. A thin layer of gauze. I have been wearing this very consistently for the last few weeks, and finding myself craving it when I don't even though the sugary sweetness is an olfactive toothache and the oudh never quite disgraces itself in the way I wish it would. I enjoy using this as a finishing spray after first applying a misk tahra, some dehn al oudh, and some oil fragrances on pulse points which gives it some more body. I think it would be great if the perfumer would revisit this composition, maybe adding some tart passionfruit, a ripe juicy berry, a vetiver, a jasmine, a rose, or SOMETHING through the middle in the perceived space between the snooty mean agarwood/ambergris accord and the saffronned sugar.
