Lust in Paradise

This is a daily driver for me. She can wear well at least three seasons where I live but will mainly reach for her in the spring and summer. She might be as close as I will have to a daytime signature scent. We are currently experiencing record heat where I live and she is holding up well in 103 with a heat index of 110+. She is a little basic but in the best ways. She is a pretty girl in matching athleisure, a perfect slicked back bun, with her iced coffee. She is a sun dress and sandals at brunch with her girlfriends with bottomless mimosas. She is a the hot mom at drop off in a top knot who threw on the first thing she pulled out of her dresser and still manages to look effortlessly beautiful. This is for the girlies who dress and scent themselves for the other girlies. This is warm and sun kissed skin and peonies with a kick of cedar. I don’t necessarily smell the litchi but I have a feeling I’d miss it if it wasn’t there. I really dislike the fragrance community’s insistence on comparing all scents to Delina but I will say this is for the girls who like Delina La Rosee over the versions. It doesn’t smell like it, but falls into that category. It is for that brand of girl.

I really liked this soapy floral so I’m surprised by some of the harsh reviews. This is what I wanted the new formulation of Burberry Weekend for Her to smell like, based on the reviews. THAT scent smells like cleaner. This scent is a bright pretty fresh floral. It has a feminine soapy clean smell to it. I think it would be a good choice for after the gym. Do not overspray! That feels weird to say for a fresh scent but it’s strong and longer-lasting for it’s niche. You kind of get the essence of a mermaid or something else floral and oceanic/aqueous. A bit reminiscent of Aquarose, but the soapy quality last way longer and it’s missing the emphasis of the marine notes, in place of fruitier notes like litchi. I don’t find anything lustful about it but I suppose some aquatic-leaning smells can invoke those beach getaway feelings in some people. I’m picky about my watery scents because I find that they can go pickled or urinal really quickly. That’s not the case here. People say the scent profile isn’t worth the luxury price tag-then start name-dropping. Because I want a decant and it’s expensive.

...and the doors of paradise opened and the heavenly scent of something fresh, sweet and floral filled the air... Gorgeous. If you love scents such as Armani's Pivoine Suzhou or Dior's Blooming Bouquet but have always wished they were just a tad more longlasting/projecting this is IT. The fruitiest piony without heavy basenotes. Dewy, slightly fruity, fresh and uplifting. This is more romance than lust, I can completely understand the abbreviation/nickname Paradise. If you're on a budget I strongly, STRONGLY (!) suggest getting Fragonard's Grenade Pivoine. I have both and the similarities are overwhelming, despite the differences in the note pyramides here on Fragrantica/other perfume sites. Personally I got the Fragonard first and almost burst out laughing when I first tried the Ex Nihilo - the similarity is more than obvious. Still, I won't regret my Ex Nihilo, it's like a more concentrated version of the Fragonard, one spray goes a long way.

Lust in Paradise is one of those very few fragrances that as soon as I smelled it, I had to buy it. This is my favourite peony fragrance in my entire collection. It was instant love and instead of getting Delina la Rosee, which I had planned to buy that day, I left the store with Lust in Paradise. It’s the freshest floral, a recently bloomed peony that you can get. To me, it feels so natural and realistic smelling like you would smell a pink rose or a bouquet of peonies from your garden. It’s not the most complex fragrance but it has a bit of spiciness from the pink pepper, a bit of fruitiness from litchi, a bit of musk, and some warmth from the amber, mostly in the dry down. The downside is that it is expensive, not very long lasting and sits close to skin. It needs over spraying in order to get to the 6 hours mark. But I would buy it again, I love it so much and I want to have it forever in my collection.

Just got this last night as part of my Ex Nihilo sampler set, and I'm in love! It's SO pretty. Soft, fresh, florals and perfectly balanced, ,sweet and airy. Not heavy at all, which is my style. It's fairly intimate IMO so I'm a bit surprised that many people have noted it as moderate or strong sillage... I'm not getting that at all. It creates a nice little scent bubble but I am wearing this at work, and I feel good about it NOT being noticeable beyond arm's length. I also tried Fleur Narcotique when I got the samples last night, and it went way past "clean" as in "I feel pretty and clean" and deep into cleaning product territory. Lust in Paradise is much less screechy/sharp and has a teensy bit of green to me. Perfect for spring. I'm already looking at my bank account to see if I can fit a full bottle into this pay period and pull the trigger today!

Ok. I have read the reviews. And they are DETAILED. My review will not be, as my nose is not as trained, as some. I get a soapy, VERY floral, light and airy BOMB. At first I hated it. Then I let it sit on my skin. Holy hell. It changed into the most gorgeous notes. NOTHING LIKE DELINA AT ALL. It’s an ethereal, flowing, princess like fragrance. Yet with a more mature (not “grandma like”. (I HATE THAT PHRASE). Not because I’m 57. But mature does not equate with “grandma”) take on the many flowers. Ok. Rant over. Will someone under 29 like this? Probably not. But, there’s always hope. I, much more mature, love it and am getting a full size bottle ASAP! I am now wondering about the Extrait version. Is it better? The same? Lacking? I need to know! Please advise.

I am exploring (and is some cases re-exploring) peony-rose centric fragrances. I bought sizable decants of Ex Nihilo "Lust In Paradise" and Ex Nihilo "Explicite." I also purchased Profumum Roma "Dolci Pensieri." Lust In Paradise is very pretty, it really is. The fragrance is a fresh, clean, ethereal, diaphanous, uber-feminine, mass-appealing, non-offensive soft floral rose fragrance. And while I like Lust In Paradise a whole lot, I highly prefer Explicite. For me, rose, peony floral fragrances that are denser, deeper, creamier and a bit headier resonate best. Also wish to add, Lust In Paradise has limited silage and weak-to-moderate performance, characteristics I've come to expect with Ex Nihilo fragrances.

This reminds me of getting ready for a dance with my best friend and her older sister in the 2000s. Something about the perfume or hairspray in the room - I get that giddy "getting ready and everyone's spraying stuff on themselves" sort of youthful vibe. I definitely don't understand the Lust in the name, this is just innocent, girly, sweet, not sensual. Love this on my skin from start to finish. Fresh, aquatic, sweet, fruity, floral, feminine. I find the performance fantastic as it stays so fresh for so long and I truly love the dry down on me. Full bottle worthy. Summer, daytime or party fragrance. If you like Chloe, or Delina Exclusif or Delina la Rosee - this one will be right up your alley.

Fresh scents are usually not the ones to last, but this one does. Even after shower I can smell a bit on my skin if I'm not careful to rub it off. Expensive, but you definitely get what you pay for! It's aquatic, soapy, fresh, floral but not sweet. More (liquid)soap-like than perfume-like. Peony note lingers a long time on me. Reminds me of my childhood and blowing soap bubbles in the summertime, in my parents' backyard next to peony bushes. Definitely modern type of fragrance, as Ex Nihilos often are. It's beautifully blended, and I can see this DNA could work well as a deeper extrait-type of version as well. My summer scent for sure!

Perfect “Lust in Paradise”, femme-for-femme. I was feeling stuck looking for a new sexy date perfume; everything screamed “smelling sexy for a man”. This screams “smelling sexy for other ladies.” I want to eat this perfume and any lady wearing it. When I wear it, I feel imminently edible. Compliments from women; carefully neutral reactions from men. I see that other reviewers describe this as “innocent” and not lusty-smelling, but it smells lusty for me, as an extremely girly girl who loves other girly girls! Smells like Stereotypical Barbie and Doctor Barbie getting married on the beach surrounded by peonies and champagne.

I did another Luckyscent haul, and the standout was Lust in Paradise. This one completely surprised me. It has such a unique character. As it dries down, the pink pepper softens into a beautifully warm, luminous floral that almost gives the impression of rose, even though there isn’t one in the composition. It’s elegant, radiant, and incredibly addictive. What impressed me most is the performance. Very few fragrances last on my skin, but this one stays present with a beautiful, consistent scent from start to finish. This is an absolutely stunning fragrance and, without question, the standout of my haul. Full bottle worthy.

i am so in love with this perfume and i’ve had this as my signature scent for the past 2 years now yet I spray it and I fall in love all over again. I love how this perfume makes me feel so feminine and just makes me feel so good! I love that as the day progresses, the scent just continue to smell better. I have gotten so many compliments about this perfume whenever I wear it, both male and female. I love that this scent lasts soooo long that I can still smell it on my shirt that I have worn prior. I have not gotten tired of this scent after wearing it the past two years.

This is the GREATEST Floral, Citrus, Crisp scent I've ever had and have yet to smell. It is very pricey, but I hate to say, it's worth it. This scent lasts all day and smells the same ALL DAY. There is no dry down to that powdery air freshener base that most floral fragrances have. The way this smells when you first spray it, is how it still smells 10+ hours later. You can't get that with a dupe. It is more feminine, but as a male I rock this all summer long. As soon as I spray it, my wife yells from the other room "I love that scent"! I promise you will love it too.

I’m starting to realize I love lychee in perfumery and Lust in Paradise is no exception. This is wonderful. I prefer Lust in Paradise over the original Delina and Chloe. They aren’t dupes, but definitely posses a similar DNA. I find Lust in Paradise to have more of an edge, whereas I find Delina & Chloe to be more stuffy. I also think Lust in Paradise would work a little better in hotter weather. She may not be groundbreaking but I really enjoy this scent, she makes me happy and lifts my spirits. Perfect fragrance for a sunny & happy day. 🌞

This is what I want my hair to smell like when the wind catches it. Very feminine. I asked the salesperson for something fresh and feminine and he pointed me to this, saying he'd just bought a bottle for his girlfriend. Usually I'm more into woody florals, but this is something different and special for my perfume wardrobe. Tested in the store and ended up bringing home a bottle. Four hours later and it's still going strong for me. No buyer's remorse. I can't wait to wear this with a swishy sundress this spring. *swish swish*

Just. Gorgeous. Sweet rose, without being sugary or candy. Fresh, without being so light it disappears. Fruity, but not shampooey. It's a beautiful take on a popular scent profile that doesn't feel like a copy or a repeat. I've seen people say they don't think it lasts well, but I've found it lasts beautifully. There's a lot of warmth to this fragrance and I think it works year-round. I've taken to wearing this during the day and the extrait at night when I'm going out for both, and I absolutely love the combo.

Thank you, fragrance subscription for making it possible for me to try this at a decent price. I absolutely love it. It’s fresh, floral, feminine and airy. I love pink pepper and it’s perfect in this. It’s blended smoothly and there’s no part of the experience I don’t love. I definitely need a FB in my collection one day. Hopefully I can find one that fits my budget! PS: if anyone has a bottle of this for sale or larger decants (like 20ml+) please message me! I’d love to have more than this 8mL travel spray.

There's a review down there that says this smells like a perfume a barbie came with yeaaarrs ago - YES! I remember the barbie and I've been looking for the scent ever since, so this is quite the nostalgic epiphany. It's peony that leans a little rose-like, a little sugary/lemony from the litchi, some pink pepper in the background. Fresh but made royal with the beautiful florals, and a little spice from the pink pepper. exudes feminine energy and ...a little bite. Alexandra Dutton would've loved this one

I’m always looking for the best peony fragrance that lasts and projects . This isn’t it. It is a beautiful perfume but it’s a skin scent within half hour. I feel like most of these fragrances are just so weak. If they somehow made this one stronger so it lasts at least 4-6 hrs, I’d buy a bottle. As if is, the 10ml decant is enough. I prefer Fleur Narcotique. But even that one is too weak for me. So I chose to buy a bottle of Delina Exvlusiv, beautiful and it lasts a long time.

Wow, I love this perfume! I feel like i am close to the sea, in some beach town, very fresh, flowery and easy scent. It reminds me on something that i smelt before but ih has a depth, it is not a cheap fragarance. Gives me cheerfully relaxed and beautiful feeling. I can feel a bit of musk as it dries down and i lovee musk!! I am just worried about projection. I would have to test it couple of times for the projection and longevity before buying. It is a good signature scent!

Beautiful fresh pink floral scent. This reminds me of a mix between Bright Crystal, Burberry Her, with the musk of JHAG. I was nervous that this would be too mature for me, but no, it doesn't give me a headache, and it makes me feel pretty and feminine. Perfect Spring fragrance, and I'm glad Scentb!rd has it to sample. Ex Nihilo has quickly become a favorite house of mine, and I believe this may be my first full bottle of one of their beautiful bottles.

This is unexpectedly delightful. At first spray I was getting a huge litchi and peony blast, reminiscent of Delina. The peony is incredibly photorealistic. As it dries down, it turns into a really close, maybe somewhat greener, Chloe. This doesn’t have the “bath bomb” smell that I always get from Delina or the powdery rose in Chloe... the two things I dislike most about those scents. Is this, then reader, a perfect spring floral? It just might be.

I’m in love with this perfume. Got a sample and purchased a full bottle immediately. A sweet, spicy lychee fragrance. The radiance is mid to broad, and the longevity is around 4+ hours. Due to the rarity & pleasant scent, I’d say it’s worth the price point (while acknowledging it’s priced a lil up there.) People keep comparing it to Delina and I feel like you’d be disappointed if you listen; it’s more similar to Lancôme Idole intense. 10/10

I absolutely adore this scent! It is so creamy fresh and airy floral! It is one of those scents that i didn't want to buy bcs it seems so simple and i wanted some more mind blowing to wear, i wanted compliments. But then when i wear the sample again after a year i feel so good during the day and whenever i get the wave of the parfume coming from my hair i feel like i'm in paradise. It is a parfume for my soul, not ego :)

A gorgeous litchi‐and‐peony fragrance that immediately reminds me of Creed’s Eladaria, and even a touch of Wild Vetiver. It wears like a sparkling, dewy peppery rose on my skin. It is spicy, luminous, and beautifully long‐lasting. Absolutely stunning. My only hesitation in buying a full bottle is that it leans a little too close to the above fragrances that are already in my collection, but it is magical.

I smelled this out of the bottle and was completely unaware it was intended to be a feminine scent. It smells so fresh clean and bright. The floral notes are airy not heavy. The lychee fruit adds a sweet element as that is well measured. The pepper and amber appear more as it starts to dry down for me but add to the fragrance in a way that I feel it’s completely unisex. It’s simply a stunning fragrance.

I like/love this perfume, still can't decide. This is hyperfeminine. Lovely for the summer. This is juicy, fruity, floral, slightly sweet. The dry down is creamy, great for warm weather. This is similar to Delina but without that migraine inducing note Delina has, maybe the rhubarb. Also similar to Chloe, just juicier, and more fruity. This is just the prettiest, most feminine fragrance for that girl.

Such a bright and sunny perfume, I need this in my life! Just when I swore off buying more, I fell in love with this beauty. Yes, it is floral, warm and very much addictive. It projects, and people will be following you trying to sit closer to you. This perfume literally smells like happy sunshine in a bottle. I just ordered a 10ml vial, but I do think this is full bottle worthy.

This is a lovely floral scent which isn't usually my thing but I'm pretty into this. Lust in Paradise is everything that I wanted Delina to be. It definitely smells like Delina, with the lychee and rose. But this scent has as lovely aquatic and fresh scent along with the florals. I have a decant now and plan to get a full bottle. I needed a new spring scent and this is it!

I have tried hundreds of niche perfumes, but this one is my favorite and the only one that I use. There is nothing like it, even remotely. This is the smell of happiness, hope, fresh bright spring light, youth, and beauty. I wear it all year around. This is the only perfume that doesn't give me a headache. Very beautiful, feminine, modern. Also very long-lasting.

While the name is misleading and I CERTAINLY do not smell any "fruity" or "tropical" notes, I really like this fragrance! It's fresh, with almost a rosy citrus to it. Great everyday scent to feel put together and respectable and confident. Smells how the Ralph Lauren home/fashion line looks. Pretty different to Delina, in my opinion.

Guys it smells nothing like delina rose!!!!! Nothing. It's far away with the quality and sophistication. Lust is a masterpiece. Delina is Delina, same thing over and over. Lust is how a woman should smell like. I like more of unisex smells, but Lust in amazing, it's a new channel 5. Soft, feminine, cozy and bit bitter.

Perfect fresh clean and ultra-girly floral. Not sure why people have performance issues with this and Fleur Narcotique, on my skin they're both pretty long-lasting for what they are. Also this one projects like crazy, everyone will smell you. Much more pleasant and wearable than Delina in my opinion!

This is not a rose perfume it’s clearly peony. It’s like Delina but with peony instead of rose. The tart opening isn’t as tart as Delina but is pretty similar. A nice feminine fragrance but nothing groundbreaking. If you own Delina you probably don’t need this one.

This is the aroma of a holiday, good mood and happiness. Even if the day turned out to be cloudy, I put on this fragrance and everything around becomes sunny. For me, this is the perfect scent for everything. It keeps its wonderful scent for a long time.

Love how fresh and inviting this smells. It's soapy but not aldehydic, it smells like a fruity floral breeze. I'm giving this sample size I got to my mom because it would fit her perfectly and I prefer sharper scents. This is a lovely smooth sweet scent.

This is SO heavenly. Simply the best fresh floral scent. It makes me feel soft, feminine and pretty whenever I wear it. The longevity is amazing compared to other fresh scents; I can smell it after 12 hours on my skin and even longer on my hair.

I bought a sample. I do not get delina on this perfume but this smells amazing. A nice scent for summer and spring. It is fruity floral watery type of smell. Will be one of the perfume I will buy in the future. Also the scent lingers too.

My favorite perfume! It’s light, fruity floral with a summer vibe, not too sweet, not too fruity just perfect, you smell expensive and effortless pretty, it’s really a gem, I wish I could smell like this everyday but it’s expensive

I looooooove this perfume. I’ve noticed that it tends to last for hours and it creates the perfect sillage. I’ve caught myself sniffing my wrists often because of how good it smells. The litchi notes makes this perfume much better.

I love this! It’s such a nice blend of floral and fresh. This smells exactly like Dreams by Coach to me. I’m wondering if Dreams is supposed to be a dupe. Anyways it’s amazing!! Soft and feminine. A perfect summer scent.

Divine. Clean girl, princess vibe. Airy, flirty. Wedding fragrance worthy. I sprayed it once in the store and, my boyfriend who’s not into perfumes, became obsessed. So much so that he ended up buying it for me

Such a beautiful perfume, I just wish it wasn’t so fleeting. Sillage is also weak and longevity is about 2 hrs. Not good enough for the price. I won’t re purchase. Same as with all the perfumes from this house.

everything I wanted a perfume to be. the best I can put Lust In Paradise into words is feminine, clean, dewy and sensual. it’s like fresh cut roses from the most beautiful garden. I find it very intimate.

One word, wooow! This is a beautiful fresh, airy, rosy floral scent. I understand why this is considered a clean girl scent, love this so much. Easy to grab for every occasion and attention grabbing.

The peony in this one is so powerfull and lovely.It is such a lovely and feminine perfume and the performance is good on me.Just got my decant but i think i will purchase a full bottle.

To men: if you are married or in a relationship, do not overspray this. You will have too many women asking you about your fragrance, therefore creating too many opportunities. 10/10 🔥

the musky trail actually reminds me a lot of valaya at the end, but for a while its a saccharine, ripened musky fruit or aquatic fruit juice that stays close to the skin. i like it!

This is a beautiful fragrance, very very floral. I get a heavy rose note in this, maybe a little gardenia though neither are listed as so. It's very feminine.

This is so pretty! I feel like a girly pink fairy princess wearing it. Lychee, peony, and pink pepper are my favorite notes ever, so I adore this.
