My Sweetest Morphine

Emotion and scent spill over their confines, wild and ungoverned, as though gently intoxicated and mesmerised by the perfume’s own enchantment. The fragrance calls to mind a "Spring Still Life" by Nikolay Rizhankov (2024): fragile lilac blossoms gathered in a clear glass vase, a single fallen cluster resting beside it in quiet abandon. Soft light filters through the scene, casting a warm glow over each petal, and the depth and detail of the composition give it a timeless, classical poise—much like the perfume itself.

Light, airy, slightly sweet fragrance! It's fresh not in a cleaning product way, but in a way how I would describe sweet cleanness should smell. Not a beast mode, not a big on projection, but it's very well blended and inoffensive fragrance. It's a good fragrance if you don't mind the price.

I discovered this fragrance just by walking through the store, and when I stopped in front of Ex Nihilo stand, I was amazed by the scent. A random person really decided to spray everything he saw with this perfume lol It was so beautiful. Rich, addictive, I had no idea what it was smelling like. Well, that happened in Autumn or Winter so I decided to wait. And now, finally, I have something to say. On my skin it’s very comprehensible. Rose and patchouli, nothing more noticeable (Yay, makes me so happy when I guess some of the notes) And wow, such a beautiful patchouli note. Love love love. It’s not very “dark” as some rose scents come to my nose. It has warmness to it, it’s interesting. And I feel like there is, uhm, some sort of space between these two notes. I don’t know how to turn it into something that makes a sense, but it isn’t screaming ROSE, but I can’t tell you what makes is not a fragrance of two notes. And maybe its lilac or mimosa, but they don’t overpower the rose, they are in the background. I can’t say for sure. Was it the same scent that I noticed in the store? No, it was toned down, I wasn’t crazy about it. My skin chemistry and this perfume just not a match I guess. Also the tester bottle was full, so it is probably new and hasnt macerated yet. There is a chance Ill buy ~10ml sample of this and just see if that’s a case, but my curiosity is satisfied for now. AND some interesting detail I noticed. When I was taking a shower I noticed that it was so powdery, especially when my skin was wet. I have no idea what mimosa or lilac smell like, and how water can change scents. ?????what was that

I agree with the reviews below: this is a very classic feminine fragrance — floral and fresh — one that would suit both a young girl and a woman in her prime. Its elegance reminds me of Forever and Ever Dior (one of my all-time favorites), though it does feel more modern, likely thanks to the bergamot and airy, ozonic notes. I’d even call it a “clean” scent — there’s something in it that brings to mind a fragrant fabric softener or a fresh shower gel. It’s incredibly versatile and would wear beautifully during the day at the office, on an evening date, or even on a radiant, happy bride. I do think it’s a bit too expensive for this type of fragrance, and if I were looking to buy something in a similar style, I’d probably go for Totally White by Parle Moi de Parfum or even stick with Dior.

This is beautiful. Why's everyone so mad about it? (Is there something I'm missing) 🤔 I blind bought it and so far have no regrets. Opening-mid: This has the original Sweet Morphine DNA with and added lipstick-y note. Upon complete drydown: very very similar to the original. Longevity and projection is also comparable to the OG. If you have the original I don't think you need this one. Is it better than the original? I don't think so.

If you love Chanel fragrances, you will love this. It is a classic floral scent but remains modern because it is light and airy, I believe due to the ozonic and solar notes. It’s got a touch of sweetness and powderiness in the drydown. This is a beautiful, feminine, airy floral scent. Pleasant, inoffensive and can be worn on pretty much any occasion. It a calm, classy, classic fragrance.

Very beautiful. Reminds me of L’instant Magic by Guerlain with a lilac note.

I was over the damn moon when I saw Saks was selling the extinct "Sweet Morphine" online. It was my favorite perfume, ever. There is nothing like it. So I purchased and floated across the next week just awaiting my prized possession. The wind blew out of my sails as soon as I saw the box label ..."my...sweetest..."....DAMMIT. they don't know the difference? Or they're trying to pawn off this sad follow up to an icon? Ugh. I'm too broken to send her back across the country. I tried her. She smells like a cousin, sure. But where is that action packed opening? It's beautifully mixed of course. It may be perfect for someone who likes their fragrances..calmer. but I will just be here longing for someone else to take my breath away with one spray. . . This may take a while. . .

Smells like banana laffy taffy. Not sure which note is giving it that banana feel but I’m not a fan. It smells like a mix of banana + lilac scented laundry detergent. Nothing really sweet about it

It opens with a huge bouquet of lilac and mimosa, and even though it’s not listed, I’m definitely getting a touch of ylang-ylang too. As it dries down, it turns into a soft, classic floral—slightly powdery, fresh, and airy. It smells like delicate petals carried on the wind, almost like walking through a summer field with the breeze in your hair. Feminine, and quietly beautiful but something I’ve smelt before. Lilac and mimosa bomb with a fluffy musk background. Very pretty and feminine, although it does feel medicinal in the first 10 minutes, where it reminds me a lot of liquid Tylenol for children. My sweetest Tylenol? just in the beginning...it settles to a beautiful bouquet of tender flowers. Gorgeous.

Yes, i liked it after the initial spray, but it's times less loud later on What I loved about this floral-powdery scent, that it seems to be made of quality ingredients It projects from clothes/materials really a lot, after many hours more :) *The name is completely delusive - it's not sweet at all

There’s something so breezy about this one. It makes me picture myself walking through a field with the wind blowing through my hair, on a sunny day. It’s airy, floral and aquatic (which gives me the feel of clear clean water)

A lot lighter than the original. If you like the DNA but the OG was too powerful, this could be suitable.
