Sweet Morphine

This is one of the perfumes here that makes me excited to read the reviews. Sweet Morphine seems to evoke the poetic, and the very personal in reviewers here. The reactions are so extreme, they tell me Sweet Morphine is a masterpiece. Unfortunately for me, my nose tells me it's a masterpiece, too. I would splurge happily on a bottle, as a special treat, if this cost $100 less...but, this is tempting me to splurge unhappily on a bottle of this...because I'll be haunted by Sweet Morphine if I don't buy it! I have a sample of Sweet Morphine that I'm savoring. I find the longevity to be quite good, but it's difficult to tell, because I'm using such small amounts, due to having only 1.5 ml to test with. As another reviewer mentioned, I have noticed a "baby wipes" aroma a couple of times, right upon application. I almost wish it retained this smell, because I definitely do not want to smell like a diaper change. But, no, that smells disappears as soon as this melds with my skin, and my skin seems to mock my initial impression. My skin sends me a fragrance of a unique balmy, slightly syrupy floral...I think, "What IS that note?" I needed the word association from the given notes to recognize the lilac, because I haven't smelled actual lilac in decades. Sweet Morphine does not have the bright, fresh "purple" lilac of, say, Pacifica's French Lilac. Sweet Morphine reminds me quite a lot of what I think of as the "pinkish-blue" lilac in my beloved En Passant. Sweet Morphine has a lilac note, but it's not a lilac scent. I can't imagine anyone smelling me thinking I smell like a garden from childhood. The pink-blue lilac floats on a cloud of cream, yet it's surrounded by a paradoxical lightweight dark vanilla. It's sexy because it's different. There is not a single "department store" or "designer" fragrance that smells anything like this. Like En Passant smells like En Passant and nothing else, Sweet Morphine is its own singular self. I LOVE the name "Sweet Morphine". It opens up so many opportunities for interpretation. It's unlike the self-fulfilling "Hypnotic Poison", nor does it tell you what you should expect, like "Totally White", or "Benevolence". It leaves the imagination boggled...does it smell literally like Morphine? Is it supposed to connote the effect of opiates? Is it calming? Is it a response to rampant opiod abuse? Is it supposed to be cheeky and rebellious like "I Am Trash" or "Fat Electrician"? In my case, the "morphine" part means "highly addictive". This is a scent I crave. It makes me react.It's unique, unusual, unmistakable, and slightly mysterious. It creates a mood. It makes me notice the details in my surroundings. It's one of the perfumes the reminds me why I am so in love with fragrance.

Archivist-I don't think the acetone smell is necessarily indicative of an old bottle because I get it in the opening as well. That said, I've also had issues with non-manufacturer samples so who knows? But I digress. So yes, Sweet Morphine opens with a blast of "scented nail polish remover" smell, which I actually don't hate, if mainly for nostalgic reasons. Within a few minutes, the lilac really starts to come through for me and then is softened by the mimosa (a note I LOVE). I like it a lot more as a perfume in its own right at this point, but the magic hasn't arrived yet. After 3 or so hours, all the notes soften until you can't really tell them apart, and it becomes simultaneously one of the coolest/iciest fragrabces I've ever smelled, while paradoxically remaining warm. I've gotten that effect only from FM L'eau d'Hiver and SL Tubereuse Criminelle, but both are still far warmer than Sweet Morphine. It's like warm soft flowers, but frozen over. There's nothing aquatic or mentholated or green though, it's just refreshing and cold, somehow. It's very interesting coupled with the name, because morphine is generally associated with warmth (take a look at YSL Opium for example) but if you've ever had a serious enough injury to get intravenous morphine at the hospital (or if you're experienced in that way otherwise, lol) then you'd know that when that shot hits, the initial rush is actually a very cool if almost icy feeling that simultaneously feels warm, tingly, and calming-exactly how this smells. This perfumes coolness also has an almost clinical quality to it, adding to the parallel. If YSL's Opium perfectly captures the scent, feel, and experience of smoked opium, then Sweet Morphine is a perfect replication on par with YSL of clinical IV morphine. I'll be honest, it was the name (as well as the stunning pink bottle) that caught my attention. I was curious if "Sweet Morphine" was just a gimmick to add some edge, or if this fragrance actually had anything to do with morphine. Well, this sure is no gimmick. Take it from a reckless athlete who has broken many bones and been attached to many subsequent morphine drips. At the dry down, it reminds me so much of morphine that it's my perfect scent to just chill/not have a care in the world, and spend a nice quiet evening with tea and people and animals I love. Good stuff.

Wow! Soft, fresh florals are not usually my type but this actually kind of blows my mind! I guess I shouldn't be too surprised though, since the five most-votes notes (lilac, mimosa, heliotrope, iris, vanilla) are among my all-time favorite notes, but still, I tend towards gourmands and orientals, even chypres. Florals can be perfectly nice but usually don't wow me like this does. Now, as a few others have mentioned, the opening does kind of remind me *just a tad* of nail polish remover, but strangely enough that does not take away from the enjoyability for me. Instead, this strange but frankly fun little accord just makes Sweet Morphine all the more unique. And unique it is, it's actually unlike anything I've ever smelled, yet is oddly reminiscent of something very familiar at the same time. Not a perfume, but maybe a divinely scented face cream? But the best, and I mean BEST part is without a doubt the drydown and the scent that lingers on your clothes. Spray this on your skin AND clothes! Trust me. It's hard the explain, but it's the softest, freshest, most wonderful trail I've ever smelled the day after spraying it and this stuff is loooong lasting so you will smell it the next day, and you won't have to sniff your clothes directly, it will still waft from them nicely a good 24 hours later. Many times after wearing this I've wondered what that divine smell I was catching whiffs of was, and it was always this. Aside from the scent, I really love everything else about this perfume too. The bottle is gorgeous, especially the hot pink color of the juice. It literally looks like a gem. And the name is fitting too, because this has a sort of cold, sterile air to it dueling with a soft sensual warmth that actually does remind me of being at the hospital with a morphine drip. Which sounds really weird, but it's actually strangely pleasant-kind of like being on a morphine drip at the hospital lol. This one is now a beautiful member of my favorites shelf and one of my most worn fragrances. It's suitable for all types of weather and all occasions. One of a kind; easy to love yet hard to put a finger on. I will be trying more of Ex Nihilo's fragrances thanks to this gem. Floral haters, do not be scared. Everyone should try this.

First test....hmm, I like it Second test....oh wow, this is realllly nice Third... this is love. *swoon* I'm afraid of a fourth wearing, I may not survive this composition ;) It's a scent both new to me and familiar at the same time. I don't think the familiarity is anything I ever wore, so I don't understand the memory tug, but I feel it. It carries quite the affective punch for me, fortunately it's a gentle delivery. On my skin, it becomes stronger (not too strong) as it develops from top to heart, not the reverse. Sweet Morphine is not new or innovative. It's not a challenge. It was, however, nearly perfection on the windy day I wore it. I think it might be easier for me to talk about what I didn't find in Sweet Morphine. There's not a single floral note that stands out as dominant to my nose. Not the lilac on top or the heliotrope holding the base. The heart is a floral who's who, listing mimosa, iris and rose. but it's the blend that's the standout. I don't find it exceptionally powdery either. The powder is what I was seeking when I tested it. There's just enough to detect but it's not the defining accord to my nose, despite the votes to the contrary. Sweet? From the vanilla and an unlisted cherry or raspberry I think, but not so much so that sweet warrants a place of honor in the name. So what did I find in this composition??? Something lovely and right for me. Will Sweet Morphine take away my pain? Nope, but it will take away my money some day soon :)

Sweet heaven. I have been looking for a wearable fragrance that can work both day and night, that can be worn daily and is different enough to be memorable and I believe I have found it. I received this as a sample with a Lucky Scent order and was hesitant to even open it because of the name. "Sweet Morphine". I don't like sweet fragrances as they tend to be cloying and give me headaches. This fragrance is so far from what I would typically categorize as sweet. I also have never been terribly fond of lilac scents but this perfume is composed so well. It is very hard for me to find scents that don't bother me at some point as they open up and dry down but this one is gorgeous from application to end and is complex in it does change character. It is both soft and deep at the same time. This is a sophisticated fragrance but is not a big, bold matriarch of a scent. Simply gorgeous. The only negative is it doesn't last very long on me but that's typical of most scents I wear so will most likely purchase a bottle anyway.

It's so interesting to me to read reviews and wonder how people can have such different experiences with one fragrance! In any case, on me this opens up as a powdery floral then settles down over the first hour or so into a straight patchouli, only saved by the occasional whiff of rich floral notes hitting me and keeping my interest. I'm surprised very few others have even mentioned how prominent the patchouli is, but my skin does seem to amplify the tiniest amount of patchouli in any fragrance to almost sickening levels. I love lilacs, but I wouldn't say that I notice it specifically when wearing this. I was really disappointed when the florals started fading and I was suddenly surrounded by patchouli, but I continued to sniff at my wrist all afternoon so I think it's growing on me. Reasonably long-lasting. I reapplied mid-afternoon, but if I were using a spray rather than a sample vial it might have lasted all day. Overall, lovely but not full bottle worthy to me for the price.

Quite simply DIVINE! It is a dream of a creamy floral. Think of THE most luxurious body lotion (hint to the company: you MUST launch a body lotion for this one!!). First a floral citrusy burst, then the strong creamy mimosa paired with the light lilac, supported by lactonic molecules like a sleek, silk pyjama: EXUBERANTLY feminine but I love it so much, I wanna wear it to bed and have my entire bed linen and wardrobe smell like this! While Aerin's "Lilac Path" might be the perfect horticultural and literal lilac, THIS ONE is it's creamy, voluptuous and more luxurious cashmere sister. It goes on for hours and hours with little development but that is ok for you DON't WANT IT to change. It merely slowly fades like the end of a song when the instrumentation fades out in the extended outro. 10/10 A Masterpiece of a Creamy Floral that screams luxury without screaming. Beguilingly beautiful.

Within my personal top ten fragrances at the moment. To me this is the perfect mashup of two so loved perfumes of mine: En Passant (O. Giacobetti) and Love Chloé (L. Turner and N. Gracia Cetto). Very expensive smell, in every possible way. So many facets emerging throughout the day: crispy, ladylike, sensual, sweet. If you want an elegant floral fragrance but you don't like the white flower notes (the whole family of jasmin, gardenia, freesia...), you might really like this one. For some it could be"granny-ish" because of this bouquet, but I adore it. The drydown is also very pleasant because the base notes don't change the fragrance into something different, which happens a lot with floral scent after several hours. It is so well blended, that even when the powdery notes come in stronger as the day goes by, you can still smell unexpected gusts of lilacs from time to time.

This is the fragrance pain killer. The way I prefer to go on morphine. When you first spray it the scent leans feminine. But after you wear it a while, as a guy you just end up smelling fresh and clean. It leaves a soapy impression on me. Like a unique kind of bar soap. Not your typical Irish Spring. It reminds me of the way guys now wear pink shirts to work with their suit. Or have pink in there socks, pink sneakers, or even just pink shoe laces. There are lots of reasons guys wear pink (anti bullying, breast cancer etc). Or just to be edgy. It also reminds me of when my grandmother use to do laundry. I think it's the lilac in here. Reminds me of fresh linens. I loved the lilace bushesess she had in her yard that would waft the scent. I think its the color of the juice making me have pink thoughts, not the actual scent. Definitely not over the top feminine.

First off- This is Phenomenal. I love it. It opens with a blast of baby wipes. Within a few seconds, it rapidly evolves into a lovely, gentle, yet rich, lilac. Buttery vanilla orris. A softer iris develops. Blue and yellow spring flowers. There is also a juxtaposition of an airy, powdered, and creamy mimosa- very reminiscent of the lightly scented air I remember while sitting next to a yellow mimosa tree in the high desert. It also has a bit of an old waxy lipstick vibe, but not in an overt or overpowering way. A tiny bit of scratchy patchouli. Well balanced and not too much of anything. Would be absolutely wonderful for spring. Or great for a wedding. It's calm, elegant, romantic and intensely feminine. The softness reminds me of Violet Blonde by Tom Ford, but this is even softer, richer, and more refined. Lovely and luxurious.

SM smells like cherry Chapstick to me, but my God, do I mean that in the best way possible. Lilac and mimosa combined are incredibly gorgeous! SM has lived up to its name for myself, being that it has me addicted to it. I am hooked on this floral beauty and cannot get enough! Like morphine, it makes you crave more. it is soft yet very present at the same time. The sillage and longevity are great! Sillage does seem soft, but it is noticeable to others but not in a loud and in your face obnoxious kind of way. It is subtle. It is a scent that cannot be justified just how beautiful it is until you've actually gotten to smell it yourself and have worn it a few times. It feels like it melds into your skin and has now become part of your natural scent. Major love for me!

The heliotrope and lilac notes are very prominent. It's sweet but appealing, not sharp or dated. The scent is youthful, sexy, and stands out. It has incredible projection and longevity, but in later batches before it was discontinued, the juice changed to a light pink compared to the wine-red color of the older versions, and the scent also changed. Ex Nihilo My Sweetest Morphine falls flat when compared to Sweet Morphine; it no longer has that stimulating, sexy, attractive sweetness, but rather a milder, less sweet, and less alluring fragrance. I'm really regretting not being able to find a replacement for my Ex Nihilo Sweet Morphine.

So often happens that choosing a fragrance for your mood. This is one of those that creates a mood. You put on it... and you again feel is newcoming spring the way how you felt it when you were 17. Freshly, carefreely. With wide-open eyes and a light heart. That's how flit in it, inhaling waves of fragrance and enjoying beautiful may (in any circumstances ). The scent represents is of the attractive powderyness with a hints of lilac, white iris, vanilla and heliotrope. He just takes you captive, enchants with its sophisticated aroma & at the same time it is not complicated, with a mild and hearted character. Love it.

Another case where I feel like body chemistry is such a determinate fact! For me this is a very rich, powdery floral. The vetiver comes through enough on my skin not to scream ‘old lady’ and I am a rose scent fanatic anyhow... so I can handle my powder. :) I will agree its creamy and I feel like I am floating around in an elegant cloud wearing this. Not sure if it makes my top 5, jury is still out but definitely a mature yet heady scent, elegant but also reminiscent of something a little wild, as well. Sweet morphine it is.

The mimosa is the top note to me, and it dries down to iris, slightly Vanillic scent. I loved it at first spray but once’s it dried down, I’m just liking it, no big love. It’s very feminine and pleasant and I would definitely wear it, but I’m not sure if it’s worth the $ It reminds me of my mom, kind of old fashioned flora scent with a little modern swist I guess because it doesn’t smell old it’s smells powdery floral. Kind of like a clean soap scent. It does have good silage, every time I move my hands I can smell it.

I am in love with this one at the moment. I was lucky enough to get a sample of this little magic potion. It is very a feminine, it makes me feel sexy and worth a million. You don't need to spray a lot and it lingers on clothes for days but not so long on the skin unfortunately. It becomes a skin sent after 2 hours on me. Floral scents tend to give me headaches but not this one. It is quite expensive but it is quality fragrance. If anyone has it and don't want it anymore I'll be happy to buy it (just pm me).

Smells like a different time, a softer pastel world, not dated per se but definitely not from this decade. Hazy clean lilac, iris and mimosa warmed but not sweetened by the dry vanilla. Powdery, almost veering into dryer sheet territory, but still beautiful. Ex Nihilo’s prices are absurd, but if there’s anything to justify the cost, it’s the longevity. Even their light florals last half the day on my skin. 7/10, both easy to wear and not for everyone. Very feminine. Good for spring and summer.

This is a truly elegant perfume but with poor performance on the skin.. Absolutely beautiful notes of lilac, lipstick, mimosa and iris - in this very order. Creamy and intense but not overpowering. The downside is that it doesn't last longer than 2 hours on the skin. I need to reapply constantly which makes it a very expensive purchase. This is a masterpiece but cannot recommend it and wont buy it again due to its poor performance on the skin.

It’s beautiful. Sophisticated. Mature. Unique. Luxurious. I will try to explain this by using some well known fragrances so you can make an idea: If Chanel no.5 and Insolence had a baby, and then dilute that intensity with something slightly fresher, such as Delina. That vibe. It will turn heads and you will smell like a million dollars without having that headache that usually happens with poorly blended powdery statement scents.

Out of the discovery set....this is the one, and only one, that I LOVE! Love Shot....too masculine for me but had me by the nose for a long while until I couldn't sniff it anymore. Fleur Narcotique....need to try again. Tested right after being assaulted by Lot Shot lol but looks very promising. BUT! Sweet Morphine.........so divine. So feminine...so deep. I MUST HAVE IT!

Gorgeous and very well-named. The balance of sweet florals and vanilla gives this an almost candy-like element, which without the patchouli would probably be too cloying but ends up oddly tranquil. It's a clean candy, if that evokes anything for you. Think if Harrods and Love Hearts collaborated on a handwash (if you're USian apparently your equivalent is Sweethearts).

Definitely try this one on skin before deciding. I sprayed on paper and wasn't impressed AT ALL, but once I sprayed on skin the notes bloom, no pun intended. One of the most beautiful lilac accords I've smelled (as we know, you can't actually take oil from a lilac). This will be my go to in spring and summer when I want to smell pretty and I want a easy reach.

This is definitely a little bit different than what I am used to as far as florals go. I think it's very unique, it's well blended, I wouldn't say any particular notes stand out. But, the mimosa is probably the most prominent at first. It's lovely, but very soft silage and longevity is poor. Especially for the price. But, very nice Perfume. Perfect for summer.

I received my bottle of Sweet Morphine today. I was so excited to try it out. I can say it has met my expectations. I absolutely love it. It definately suits lovers of sweet florals. This one just oozes sweet pink candy, marshmallow, powdery lilac and a hint of rose. It's like comfort food to me. I cannot stop sniffing this wonderful gourmand on my wrists.

How this one crept up on me! Sprayed, got a slight citrus burst then flowers, having bought blindly was beginning to think the worst, then......... Creamy yet airy florals kind of lightly followed me around for the rest of the day like a light veil! This isn't a cloyingly sweet scent, just fluffy and light and lilacy goodness! Beautiful!

A very intense and fascinating perfume. Intense narcotic flowers envelop you, gently in a chic and romantic aura! A sophisticated and very well balanced perfume! I love this very particular perfume. I can't wait to try other Ex Nihilo perfumes too. Sillage: 8.5/10 Longevity: 9./10 Scent: 9./10 Overall: 9./10

I'm selling my 50ml, PM me if interested. EU only. It's a beautiful powdery lilac but I have reached for it only once since I bought it. I have others in this genre that I like more. This one is like it doesn't mesh with my skin, just sits atop of it. Like it's missing some warmth or something.

I used up my Lucky Scent sample and I really love this but it's not for everyone. The most lovely floral and bourbon vanilla. Well blended and comforting. Sad I can't afford this right now. Today's high prices for mediocre scents that don't last drive me crazy.

Is there anyone who doesn’t love that?! On my skin it comes with an explosion of citrus first and then it lets Lilac and Vetiver show off. For me it’s like a cherry and berry syrup but in the most expensive way! Love in a bottle.

You know, today it's the scent of shampoo or perfumed conditioner for laundry. A lot of obvious synthetics. Slurred speech, asymmetric smile ... Aroma of perfume water also can be an inarticulate : )

Absolutely adore this one, clever and beautiful flower blend. I heard today in a perfume shop that it will be discontinued and replaced with "My Sweet Morphine", stronger version of "Sweet Morphine".

Bovogie, why on earth would you buy a lilac-forward perfume, knowing you don’t like lilac? And then be surprised you don’t like it?

Bewitching beautiful perfume. Lilac and patchouli. Divine.

My Sweet Morphine is not the electric-pink opiate syrup its bottle might imply, but rather a pastel lullaby rendered in baby powder—soft yet hazy, delicate yet dense, like a gossamer cloud of mimosa dust caught in light. The opening is crisp, a breath of lilac intertwined with bergamot, an ozonic burst that evaporates as swiftly as dew under the heat of a steamer. Then the florals settle; the air becomes thick and suspended—heliotrope emerges with its almond-kissed sweetness, iris releases its ghostly violet powder, and rose appears in its most powdered form, stripped of dewy freshness, reduced to a clinical outline reminiscent of Johnson & Johnson's pressed between crumbling, old pages. Mimosa, usually celebrated for its golden, honeyed warmth, here is rendered dry and chalky—its papery blossoms scattering at a touch, evoking more pollen than flower. The iris deviates from its customary buttery, suede-like softness, leaning instead toward an ethereal, almost weightless abstraction, omnipresent in a quiet, blurred hum. And heliotrope, my favourite contradiction. Both floral and confectionery, it laces the composition with a delicate note of caster-sugar almonds, an echo of childhood nostalgia intermingled with the soapy cleanness of a gentle rose. As the fragrance dries, a subtle sweetness rises, yet it never abandons its inherent powdery hush. The blend grows softer, rounder, but never attains a warming embrace—more like the lingering scent of skin after pressed flowers have long since faded. This is baby powder in its most evocative form. Baby powder, alright, but as its name suggests: one infused with memory, solitude, and an intoxicating, lethal allure.

I like this perfume overall but I LOVE the late drydown. Vanilla sugar powdered floral candies! But not really gourmand/edible. Still smelling like a perfume, in a powdery boudoir kinda way. But VERY sweet. Hard to explain. It's quite unique and well balanced. I recommend you check this one out if you enjoy powdery florals like kenzo flower, trussardi my name or even something like ostara from penhaligons. Don't agree that it's a poor performer, i find it actually heavy, especially at the beginning it feels stuffy in a vintage way. If you've tried vintage perfumes sometimes they have a heavy, choking quality, like heavy powder mixed with resinous and/or incense notes, and this has a bit of that, (the cloying feeling) but it's not overwhelming. It's also aggressively feminine, but not girly at all. I can't imagine any woman under 30 wearing/enjoying this, since the majority is so obsessed looking and smelling like they're 23 forever. This is for someone who has enough confidence in themselves to be above these types of concerns. I hate using words and phrases like "mature" or "grandma smell" regarding perfume since i believe anyone of any age can enjoy any fragrance they like regardless if it smells mature or not. But some people care about that so i feel like it needs to be mentioned. Ps. Don't overspray. I feel this is the type of perfume that's best enjoyed sprayed from a distance, or spraying in the air then walking in it.

I was kind of familiar with Sweet Morphine from advertising. However, I had no idea what scent family Sweet Morphine belonged to before trying it. Maybe I am naive but with a name like Sweet Morphine, I expected something with more edge. Not too edgy like my seventh-grade scene phase, but maybe a little dash of spice. Unfortunately, I did not detect any scents that were not floral, making it not as complex as I like. On me, it evolved from a strong lilac to a soft rose. Even though this perfume initially seemed like a basic flowery perfume, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I grew to enjoy it as the day went on. I went out for a walk and with each breeze or stride, I got a whiff of the airy florals from my wrists. It was a small thing that reminded me to stop and smell the roses.. or lilacs :) It feels like a classic that never goes out of style. Would I pay the amount Ex Nihilo charges for a bottle of floral perfume that only smells like two flowers on me? Helllll nooooo... But I am not surprised if others do because you can't go wrong with it. Rank - 8/10 Husband's impression: It's nice and flowery but not unique enough on me for the cost.

A walk through an overgrown whimsical garden with cute garden gnomes, stone pedestal bird baths, lilac in full bloom and the path winding up to a storybook cottage. That's the image I see when I smell this perfume on myself. However I can't get past the name! I find the name Sweet Morphine slightly misleading. The scent is a true floral, but it doesn't come across as a sweet intoxicating "morphine" smell to me. It's definitely an incredible quality fragrance with deep distinctive floral notes. The first spray was almost too floral-overload for me, but within 10-15 minutes it mellowed out into a beautiful floral. It's a strong like for me and if I were looking to buy a floral I'd definitely consider this one, but the scent just didn't win me over to purchase a full bottle at this time.

The name may seem random, but it is not unapt. I have broken my arm twice, each time requiring a morphine intravenous drip. Somehow, this does capture that smell. The top notes are awful, just like nail polish remover as another reviewer has mentioned, and my bottle is definitely not off. However, wear it in warmer weather and give it an hour to blossom and it turns into something quite beautiful. I've written it off initially, but I found myself catching whiffs of something amazing only to realize that it was my perfume. When I'm in the right mood, I can get past the initial acetone blast. And for a watery floral, it is VERY unique. I have never smelled anything remotely like it, except for morphine of course.

Dewy cold petals of sweet, slightly spicy lilac fresh from a florist’s refrigerator. A bouquet unadulterated by patchouli, vetiver or other supporting notes (at least to my nose, this is purely floral). Then a polleny powdery cassie flower dominates with the purple flowers receding to the background. Heliotrope is blended in with the lilac, both adding a freshness to the powder. I can only imagine this is a bee magnet if worn outdoors, as it is very heady to me. I don’t think it lasts long enough to justify the cost, but I can see this being a signature scent for anyone who adores lilac.

This is such a beautiful fragrance. On me it opens with such a fresh but sweet floral. It dries down on a powdery note, but still scenting clearly of flowers. But! It has no sillage whatsoever on my skin. I can barely feel it, and had to spray half of my sample just to be able to experience it. It lasts for a very long time, as I applied it yesterday afternoon and this morning there was still a faint trace of it. If I could feel it more upon spraying, it would be on my list, but as it is not the case, I will leave it as a scent that was a pleasure to meet.

At first spray this is very similar to Lolita Lempicka Minuit Sonne, only more intense. So nothing unusual scent-wise, which is disappointing. Oddly, it doesn't project despite this early intensity. The worst thing is that it then fades to nothing within 2 hours. Not even a residual skin scent remains. Assuming my sample is genuine, Sweet Morphine is a real letdown.

I like wearing it in the winter from time to time. I don't like it on a blotter and I do not like for the first 5 minutes. But then it creates a womanly (not girly, but womanly) powdery cloud around me with a long train making strangers turn their heads Dina_France (perfume reviews on YouTube)

+ Big Lilac energy in a bottle. Delightful! I smell fluffy powdery flowers. Followed by intensely lush, leafy greens mixed with a beautiful musk. This perfume has gone from like to love. I'd buy a travel spray in a heartbeat. It's absolutely bewitching, intoxicating, and addicting.

This smells like maraschino cherry lipstick. Very interesting and specific. I’m not sure when I would wear this. This is attention-getting and playful, bordering on juvenile even. Maybe if I were on Spring Break, going out on the town. I’m too old for that, though.

Wow. Going off of a sample. This is delicate and super feminine. Beautiful. And expensive. Performs isn't the best but it's not the worst either. I don't get cough drops and Sweet Tarts. This is all floral. Lilac mainly. I might have to cave and get a bottle.

This perfume reminded me of being hugged by my great aunt’s back in the 80s. It’s a beast projector for a couple of hours and is a powdery floral with something bitter in the background. It smelled good, but definitely isn’t something I would wear.

Anne Shirley would wear this well walking down The White Way of Delight in Avonlea. It's delicate yet tenacious, powdery lilacs with the tiniest hint of cocoa, vanilla and almond, very nice indeed and perfect for spring.

This is nice soft fluffy like scent to me. This fragrance reminds me of baby lotion and a doctor’s office for some strange reason lol.
