Oracle

High quality artisanal green-smoky frankincence. The opening is stunning, immediatly presents the whole fragrance in all its beauty, rich, complex, with so many facets. Citrus forward but with many different nuances, sweet but with an hint of acidic feeling, green, sticky, juicy and resinous (the frankincense already annunce its presence) and a little bit smoky, not the bright zesty citrus, a more complex, darker one. Wow, just fantastic. When the citrus tones down to then disappear the fragrance turns greener and thicker, resinous, aromatic. Like burning incense in a piny forest near a campfire made with aromatic woods. The quality of the materials here are incredible, it smells so natural and vivid. And than it evolves more going darker in the drydown, you start to get leathery facets, the smoke becomes darker and heavier and at this stage it reminds me of another of my favourites I-III Russian Tea, same feeling of dark smoky incense with leather but without the sweetness of the undistinguished black fruit that I-III Russian Tea carries along all its evolution. Here there is not an hint of sweetness, just this dense smoky frankincense explored masterfully in his woody, aromatic facets. What a fragrance! I don't even care of the practicalities here, it is so good that is a pleasure in itself to just smell it and get lost in the composition of such high quality materials. It is a total banger from the artisanal italian house. Full bottle worth for me.

Okay, so this one is not a love at first sniff, or first try. You really need to pay attention to understand how good this is. Bright citruses, but not citrus dominant. Top quality Sage mixed with juniper berries on the base of top quality omani frankincense which is a little minty and airy, but it creates this soul cleansing experience. Very Very calming. May smell simple at first, but its really not. Simply Superb, 10/10 incense. Up there with Osang, Reliqvia, Lavs.

Oracle is all about the cade oil, dressed up and decorated with incense, sage and freshly squeezed lemon juice. This oracle is living in a dark and cold forest cave, surrounded by nature, inhaling the thick, intoxicating fume of burning herbs to tell your future. One of the smokiest scents I have encountered, very much unlike others this one is a cool, fresh smoke which cleanses your soul and clears your mind.

Smelling this at the store, I can say two things with certainty. This is that kind of clean, citrus fragrance with average projection that will offend absolutely no one (aka the polar opposite of every other perfume in this house, all of which I love). This is the kind of artisanal fragrance that smells expensive and intelligently composed, getting compliments in those terms, but likely wouldn’t excite specific people the way Sacred Tobacco, Cacao Ritual, Animal Cafe, Monte Kush, etc. would, especially because the citrus note is so well blended into the botanicals. If I were buying a gift for a woman who’s done a lot for my career and dresses smart, whose perfume preferences I don’t have an informed understanding of, this would be the perfume I’d choose.
