Oud Tuareg

I have LV Ombre Nomad which I really enjoy and was impressed with this one, they some what similar. This is very well done and different enough to have both which I'll be buying at some point. Its lighter and fresher and the rose is very nicely done here. Got a full discovery box for free that was sent with a Ile Bourbon blind buy bottle purchase (if you like PDM Althair which I do and have then check out Ile Bourbon) which I thought was impressive and have never come across that before. 4 out of the 6 in the set I will at some point buy, didnt know about these guys till a couple weeks ago and have to say they have some great stuff!

Oud Tuareg is a seriously underrated fragrance. Its bright citrus and ginger opening is bright and uplifting. The top notes lessen slightly in the dry down as the the rose moves a bit forward. On my skin the rose is merely playing backup as the ginger hangs on for the soft oud scent. The oud is sweet and not full of funk. The projection is great and the longevity is even better—12 plus hours on my skin. Overall, this can be worn year round and in any situation. It’s expensive but easier to wear compared to Ombre Nomad from LV. I recommend giving this a try. I’ve put it on my full bottle list.

Statistically mediocre ratings above, yet no one has elaborated on said ratings, so here you go... Put simply, this falls between LV's Ombre Nomade and Mes Bisous' Oud Hypnotique, but it's significantly cheaper than the former and about $40-50 cheaper than the latter. If you're looking for a solid rose-oud fragrance, give this a go. 8/10.

Most of the scents I’ve tried from this house lean sweet (Tribeca being the exception). This one, however, sits in a completely different place. I’ll be honest: I’m tired of oud. It’s everywhere, and the moment I see oud paired with rose, I usually run the other way. But this is genuinely excellent. Here, oud’s earthy, leathery, woody facets take the lead; or perhaps there’s something quietly at work beneath the surface, like leather, suede, or labdanum, even though none of these are listed. It feels both herbal and fresh, yet unmistakably dark and restrained. This smells of high-quality materials. I also really appreciated the way the rose is handled here. Myrrh is listed, but I don’t perceive any of its usual warmth; and honestly, I’m glad it doesn’t show up. Tag(s): Leathery oud, rose, dark, fresh, woody, herbal
