Fantome may be my favorite house, I haven’t had a single miss with their scents! This is a beautiful jammy rose scent that feels like velvety petals between your fingers, biting into a ripe, syrupy fig, rich currant, fruity incense swirling in the air and a hint of orange blossom. It makes me think of dark red interiors, a candlelit castle dining room with overflowing bowls of fruit and plush velvet chairs. This is totally a fantasy novel scent, during the court intrigue and romantic parts especially. This is a sensual, adult floral but not a “mature” soapy/powdery rose! It’s more like a dewy, blood red rose with a thorny stem, but also a witchy shop/apothecary and an otherworldly garden/orchard. Fantome scents are like what I wanted the potions I made as a kid to smell like and I want to smell them all 💗

I don’t know even where to start. I first got a sample of this in a sampler set. First spray on a piece of copy paper and I was so weirded out the scent was just so strange. I had already let it sit a couple days so I wrote it off. I revisited it a couple weeks later and holy shit it knocked my socks off. The rose was much less stingy and intense and the amber resiny sweetness really shined through. It is now one of my favorite scents I’ve ever bought I wear it daily. It is definitely rose forward but the dry down turns towards the amber sweet. It gets kind of stinky musky on me but in the best way. It evokes imagery of a candlelit night in a dark tower over looking a sea of red. So dark, so luscious, ugh I can’t get enough of it. Also The soapy comments make no sense to me my nose does not grab that.

I've been looking for a warm, fruity fig/rose scent for so long and this is pretty damn close to what I'm after! Towards the end of its life on my skin it gets a slightly acidic note that reminds me of wine. I wish that was more present throughout. Probably a layering fragrance for me

Inside of a crystal shop + rose

Not a fan of this one. I got three samples from Fantome, plus an extra small sample vial. Two of them are absolute bangers: Kuidaore and Finist the Falcon. Guaranteed, I will be running to buy a full bottle of Kuidaore soon. Then, I got these other two: Solovey and Amria... not good on me at all. They both smell like cleaner/detergent on my skin. Amria specifically smells like it could be a rose-scented dish soap. The black tea and currant is about all I can smell alongside the rose. So, I beg: what fig? What amber? What tonka? I am sadly not getting any of that. This has been on my skin for hours, now, and it hasn't changed into anything better.

Spicy incensed rose. It’s very clean, not too heady. It reminds me of yellow florals with how sweet and floral fresh it is. I like it, but not enough right now to spend what Fantome wants for it. It’s very well blended. So far impressed with this house.

I have the oil, it smells like a rose in a head shop, sweet tobacco & incense with a touch of powdery softness. Not a safe blind buy. I happen to love heady smells.
