Arashiyama

When I first smelled this without looking at the notes, I immediately thought it smelled like a fresh apple, the culprit being the pear note. That and the bamboo are the powerhouses in the opening; this fragrance is so fresh and clean smelling, it makes me feel like I'm in a Japanese spa in a bamboo forest with clean, white towels. As it dries, it keeps that fresh, laundry-esque smell, but gains more depth from the sandalwood and musk prominently. The other notes are very light, adding just a touch of nuance to an otherwise simple, fresh, uplifting scent.

i wish i could say i detected any of the notes listed, but it's still a very nice fresh floral scent : ) i immediately get the smell of a fresh bouquet, and it dries down into something really clean and comforting

this smells extremely clean. one of my most complimented perfumes.

very fresh and clean smelling- it reminds me of how rain smells in late spring when everything is very lush and green. although i do detect hints of cherry blossom, pear, etc. i feel like the listed notes dont properly represent what this smells like. to me its a realistic watery forest scent, but with none of the damp/pine/earthiness that youll find in fragrances like Encre Noire. my only complaints are that i wish the ginger note was more prominent, and as its highly concentrated it has a very oily feel on the skin & can stain clothes very easily. over-all really nice, completely unisex, perfect for spring.

Very clean, fresh bamboo. It’s damp and crisp and light. The cherry blossoms are a little distracting from the bamboo, but this is an easy scent that most would find inoffensive. I enjoy the juicy pear note!
