Morozko

I adore this fragrance. (I am a Type One Diabetic, so my skin is rather acidic, mind that). Whilst I wish the min lasted long then it did. The notes underneath that came through are utterly intoxicating for me. I cannot stop sniffing myself, the scent dried into this beautiful warmth, like a fuzzy blanket on a cold night. It's vanilla is more like the concept than what vanilla tendt to smell like in perfume, it's this silky sweet tone with this mint bite at the back. The birch and spices aren't very strong but they add a complexity that requires intimate smelling to grasp. Upon initial spraying the peppermint and peppercorns are all you smell. Which is a delicious combo, that pepper combo is sadly a short lived experience as they both tend to mostly dissappear within about 15 to 20 minutes. . After that it slowly becomes more and more vanilla like. Pushing through the earthy birch tone. (like a put out fire covered by snow)

At first spray the perfume was unapologetically mint. It was very herby mint and not the typical sweet mint that a lot of candy companies have. It dried down and smells more like mint, pine, and sweet like a thin mint or a mint cookie. It reminds me so much of a Christmas Day and night, one where you walk into a room with candles on the Christmas tree, mint desserts scattered around the house, and the small snowflake like frost that sits on your window. I would say blind buy safe- beautiful and well done by Fantome.

Smells like the winter wind. Spicy peppermint, cool and fresh, it really is like a frosty gust coming down from the North over the mountains. And while I get how you can read the opening as turpentine, and the mellow down as a dentist's office... neither of those things are cons for me. My only gripe is it faded fairly quickly, but it was still the perfect choice for a cold NYE.

morozko is winter itself. it’s sharp but has a depth to it that makes me continually want to smell it again and again. it isn't overwhelmingly pepperminty, but still resembles it and remains fresh. the power of this scent is amazing in the first hour but after that it practically disappears.

An icy spiced peppermint. The vanilla base is lovely and helps it feel like the warm coat you'll wear in the snow. There is a note in this that can give me a migraine and it is simply a tragedy as I lovvvvvve this scent. I have the perfume oil

I had never really conceived of the concept of “cold” as having a smell before. I mean, we all have fragrances we associate with cooler weather, but this is less “winter day” and more of “the platonic idea of cold.” Rather than this being the cold of a December day with its Christmas trees and baking, this is more like the bleak cold of Antarctica, or the empty cold of deep space. This is not to say this is a bad perfume. This is actually an amazing perfume! But if you go in expecting something that’s closer to a spicier Twisted Peppermint (which I did, this was a blind buy) you are going to be in for a huge shock. It is minty and vanilla-forward, but the spice adds a sharp bite to it, without making it smell warm and spicy. At first, all you smell is the mint, vanilla, and pepper, like a blast of cold wind to the face, but as the fragrance dries down you do start to smell some of the nutmeg and birch. At the very end, though, you are left with a pleasant minty vanilla. I do think this scent is best for women, although the right man could probably pull it off too. Lasting power is about average for me, around 5 and a half hours, but silage is probably on the lower side of moderate- which might actually be alright for a perfume of this type. This is definitely a winter scent though, in hot and humid weather, this would become cloying. Also, can I say how happy I am they finally added this brand to the database? There are so many gems from this brand that I’m happy to see them getting recognition.

i was surprised at how exactly, on first spray, this smelled like the waiting room of the dentist i used to go to when i was an ungainly teenager with braces. my brain almost fabricates a colourful rubber note to go with the initial wafts, filling in the gaps of that scent memory. fragrantica is missing the peppermint note, which is really the main star of the top notes. it's a sterile and astringent peppermint, leaning on a wood-ish, medicinal undercurrent that will be familiar if you've ever had birch juice. the vanilla that warms up on the skin over time is like coming in from the cold wind to a warm, lightly spiced blanket. it's sweeter than the opening, but not excessively so. very unisex in my opinion, and i imagine it would be fantastic in the early days of winter. overall an unusual and fascinating scent, although it is a bit specific in the atmosphere it conjures for me to wear as a signature scent.

This scent is, as others have said, very obviously cold, but also cozy to me. The vanilla and black pepper bring some warmth, like a jacket or a fire to sit by on a mountaintop. I really like the black pepper note in this especially. The only negative is that the coolness and mint can merge into sterility and dentist vibes at times. Refreshing and interesting, not really my thing, but I can see lots of people liking this.

Wearing this now that the radiators are blasting full-force in my building and I want to bring some cozy frostiness back inside. ⛄ I get a sharp turpentine-like note on applying, but it fades to be very pleasant. A gentle wintry breeze as you're wrapped in a soft blanket, enjoying fresh-baked cookies. Light enough to wear year-round but feels perfectly wintry to me.

woah this is a straight up pickle bomb at the opening for me. like it literally smells like vinegar. after that note fades its a peppery, herbal tea. then vanillic before fading after about an hour of wear. this is the very first fantome fragrance with poor longevity in my experience. the pickle smell is probably a me problem though.

as an avid hater of vanilla, this is truly the most beautiful vanilla I've ever smelled, and easily one of my favorite perfumes (despite being a lover of all things smoky/resinous/earthy/natural), and one of the only times I've wanted to buy another bottle just as a backup much like other reviews say, this starts as unapologetically mint, yet to me its more of a 50/50 mix of peppermint candy and herbal mint, and omg it is COLD, like literally smells like the dry cold winter air and the sting of the coldness lingers in your nostrils for like an hour (but it isn't painful nor unpleasant) there's a beautiful vanilla cardamom underneath, but nothing like the typical gourmand/vanilla extract/edible vanilla, and I'd go so far to say this is more spice forward than it is vanilla I have a smoked vanilla powder that this resembles actually, but it doesn't smell smoky whatsoever, more like raw vanilla bean underneath it all is a woodiness that the cardamom mixes well with, and even into the dry down the cold mint lingers, though not as prevalent (like 30% mint now and 70% woody/cardamom/vanilla), but my nose definitely still feels cold and open like how it feels to breathe in cold air easily what shiva from ff15 would smell like for those with longevity and projection issues, it may be because you have a sample? I own a full bottle (50ml) and I notice full bottles of any fragrance tend to last/project way longer for me and I easily get about 6-8hr with somewhat moderate projection with about 5 or so sprays for this on another note, I personally get no association to Christmas or the holidays, but to me it's simply winter in a bottle

My GF got me a sample of this for my bday cause the mythology behind the fragrance is where I also got my name. This scent is pleasant and not like anything I have. The opening is a crisp peppermint with a cold icy breeze. It was weird at first since I wouldn't really want to smell like that, but it also wasn't bad by any means. The dry down is much more of the vanilla nutmeg combination with a tinge of peppery/spice with the peppermint fading to a subtle glance within the fragrance. The nutmeg to me in this smelled a bit more like cloves than nutmeg though which gave it a touch more spice it felt like. Overall I actually enjoyed it and it's unlike anything I have really especially the icy peppermint. It vaguely feels like the imagery they tried to invoke in those york peppermint patty commercials if you remember those. Followed by the nutmeggy spicy light vanilla. 7-7.5/10 I think it is a like not a love just yet, but i've only tested it 2 times so far. Another few wears left in the sample.

this opens very very sharp and settles to something a lot more sterile and woody, yet still sweet; the dentist's office comparison is pretty apt. the spice lingers but the sharp mintiness does not (which is what i was most interested in, alas!). it doesn't exactly smell like baby powder but my brain has drawn the comparison and unfortunately i cannot forget it. all that said i will probably wear this throughout the winter season, but i can't decide if i like it. it's very interesting. that has to mean something right?? edit: another hour after this review and it's faded at last to just the vanilla and nutmeg notes, and that is DELIGHTFUL and so unique. but it's so faint!! really wish that was stronger from the get-go 🥲
