Not Dead, but Arisen

Starts out very green, grassy. After it dries down the earth note comes out. Like other reviewers have said, I don't smell any citrus. It's a simple scent but it smells exactly like wet dirt, or walking in the grass after it rains. It sits very close to the skin. This was the oil, so I can't speak to how the EDP performs. I like this scent a lot; It's very pleasant. My family also approves, lol. Nice for layering.

Starts out as fresh wet grave dirt (this is not a knock) and then turns into a fresh green grass citrus. It was actually fairly citrusy to me, and then slowly mellowed out into a sort of almost-floral. The funeral flowers I guess. I liked it quite a bit, but it petered out fast, in about five hours. Maybe just my skin chem. Still, a pretty nice scent that deviates from the norm.

Really well done! Perfect if your into a more dark vibe for spring or a lighter vibe for autumn. Perfect execution of the dirt smell.

Don't get much citrus in this. Just very green/spicy and some pine? Still enjoy it!

I was keen to try this even though it's not something I'd usually go for. I love dirt notes, but citrus isn't usually for me. I was hoping it would be more dirt/green heavy with the citrus just acting in the background to give that touch of decay. The opening was exactly like that! But within 30 minutes all of those deep, interesting dirt notes had completely vanished, and I was left with a clean citrus smell, like a bin bag :( Wasn't unpleasant, but the longevity was not great

On paper, this scent smells lovely. Replicates the feeling of gardening in the early spring: wet dirt under your fingernails and grass stains on your knees. There was only a hint of citrus when I smelt this scent, which also contributed to the breezy springtime feel of fresh, grassy wind. I couldn't stop inhaling this when it was on paper. I made the mistake of trying this scent both on my wrists and on my neck. I was delighted to smell dark and like I had just risen from a grave--wet soil and all. Except that only an hour later, it slowly morphed into the most disgusting, damp, and compost-y trash smell. How it marinated on my skin was putrid, leaving me sick all day. Even when I showered and scrubbed my neck and wrists as vigorously as I could, the scent of damp dirt and trash still clung to me. I am not sure if it was the citrus combined with the memories of rotting orange peels that triggered this feeling when I wore this scent, but I am thoroughly disappointed and, quite frankly, upset that the fresh scent of soil was viciously massacred by my skin's chemical composition. Maybe somebody else will have the pleasure of making this scent wearable.

I really wish that this one had more of the citrus notes. All I got from it was dirt. I am interested in other dirt note scents, but this one has made me reconsider. The citrus may have only amplified the dirt aspect, and instead of getting a gentle mix, I was confronted with just the powerful smell of soil.

Opens with wet grass and dirt and I was super excited but within minutes it starts to become a grass and citrus scent. Like laying under a lemon tree on dewy green grass. It is very light as I am finding with some fantomes and i can barely detect it around me even though I applied a lot. I'm a bit sad as this one has a really cool name and I would've loved a FB in my collection but it doesn't do anything for me 🥲

Very fresh and easy to wear with a slightt honey like sweetness (all non-gourmand Fantôme fragrances seem to smell a bit like honey to me?). I definitely wouldn’t call this a floral but it reminds me of holding my nose up to a bouquet of roses from the grocery store. Green and a little wet. I don’t think this would read as dark or gothic without prior knowledge to the inspiration behind it. Very pretty tho!
