I love this one! It reminds me of a summertime version of Shade by Lush (the solid not the spray) but more unique, mature, and appropriate for summer. This along with Gion are probably the safest blind buys I’ve gotten from Fantôme and smell most like traditional perfume. A very sweet frankincense and myrrh, and after about 20-30 minutes the coconut appears differentiating it from your usual wintery sweet resin scent. It’s not listed but I also get a tropical yellow floral note like frangipani? I don’t know what it is but I like it. If you’re a frankincense and myrrh lover but want something more appropriate for warm weather you will love this! I could see myself getting a full size. I think this would smell amazing on my boyfriend too. A truly androgynous scent. The parchment and gold aren’t super distinct but it’s kinda giving like.... If you mentioned it you would notice. I don’t know what gold smells like but this is exactly how I imagine it would smell in a fairytale world. While not the stars of the show the fragrance would definitely be EMPTY without these notes. Creates the perfect atmosphere for the more crowd pleasing notes. Rich, resinous, sexy, a little bit tropical.

I do not like myrhh as I've found from both this and kosechi the Deathless. However this time it's far less offensive and pungent on me, which has allowed me to fully smell this time around. It smells rich and dusty with the gold and parchment, and the vanilla notes with the ambergris really help sweeten the myrhh out so it's not aggressive. This is a sophisticated scent, something id expect someone of power to wear during a business trip or important meeting. Makes me also feel rather masculine, which isn't something I anticipated (as I'm apagender/Gender apathetic) Despite the actual scent appearing more unisex to me on other people. I do like this one, even if it contains a note that becomes very aggressive on me, I'll just have to use it on a necklace. I'll add more to this after I've had it on for a few more hours. : After some time it gets progressively sweeter on me. And the vanilla reminds me almost of vanilla icing. Very yummy!

On my skin, Fantome fragrances seem to settle into one predominant scent. With Paimon, that scent is frankincense. There is a faint scent of hot sand upon application, which seems to disappear with the dry down, and a barely perceptible bit of coconut which remains beneath the frakincense. There's a heat to the fragrance, like incense burning in a thurible or the afternoon sun beating down on sand. There's a power to the scent that befits its namesake.

This scent really does feel like it embodies the color gold. Papyrus, mysticism, exotic spices. Amber, the actual scent of coconut, vanilla. It’s very unique and a bit hard to place. Myrrh and old paper, a little dusty and very waxy. Sits close to the skin on me!

I own lots of resins that I burn at home, and my favorite combination by far is maydi frankincense and galbanum, which is what you'd smell at any given moment in my home this combination is the EXACT smell of maydi frankincense and galbanum together, and then with a lingering natural myrrh in the background that adds sweetness to the piney/aromatic resinous scent in the dry down, there's also some creaminess which I assume is from the coconut, though it doesn't smell like natural coconut nor sunscreen to me, more like the creaminess of the drinkable kind of boxed coconut milk not canned milk for cooking man I love this so much, it would layer beautifully with sandalwood or any other light woody scent it smells so luxurious this also resembles a far less sweeter version of ajwaa by lataffa, though I prefer this one more as it feels a lot more natural which I like, whereas ajwaa has a date and licorice note that makes it way sweeter

Love this one! It reminds me of a Black Phoenix alchemy lab one I have which is called Paprius I think. It is kinds of a creamy sweet papyrus scent, makes me think of ancient Egypt or ancient civilisations. A really delicious contrast of dried paper/hay, very subtle coconut milk (but done if a way that you can't pick this a coconut scent) and this like tiny mystical scent which must be the frankincense and myrh. Another one i want a FB of immediately!!

To my slightly congested nose, it smells like spicy hay. It’s very warm with that hay on a hot summer day feel. Grassy, earthy, a little sweet, a bit sour. The coconut note leans playdoughy. I agree there seems like there could be a yellow floral inside. But overall this is a very interesting creation. Not terribly unpleasant.
