something about this is so comforting to me. i wore this on my honeymoon in iceland in march, when it was cold and rainy. now whenever i wear it, especially in similar weather, it reminds me of that week. such a beautiful perfume and one of my favourites

Upon the initial application, the scents are so fresh that they feel almost astringent to my nose. Fir and cedar are the notes that I smell immediately. As the fragrance dries down, the scents become less bright green and more woody and smooth. I get a hint of tea once dry, but the wood scents are the most prominent.

This was the first perfume I ever bought for myself a few years ago. I got the sample and loved it so much I had to get the bigger size (in perfume oil). Its very fresh, a little sweet, and has a lovely woodsy tea scent. It lasts a decently long time on my skin, usually all day, but is not overpowering.

It's so close to something I would love. The woody and tea notes are delicious, but the sweet note is just a little too much on some days. I love it some days and others it triggers a headache. Definitely a cozy, woodsy scent. *I have the fragrance oil.

I feel almost exactly the same way as a reviewer below. This one is so nearly perfect, I love the spiciness and woodiness, especially the hinoki. There is just a weird sweetness in the back that can get intense and hard to ignore.

I had the scent OIL version of this one, so it might vary a bit to EDP. I was hoping this would read as bright green spicy as the notes let on, but it ended up coming out a bit more dank and mothball/old cedar chest like on my skin. However the scent straight out of the bottle was pretty good. I'm a big fresh soapy/spicy scent fan, so when this didn't wow I was disappointed.

this one was almost a winner for me. the composition of different evergreens blended with frankincense, oud, black tea, and oakmoss is delicious, deep, and mysterious. it's sharp and uncompromising, a dark complex green with an edge of cold stone and clear stream water. however, there's something sickly sweet beneath that which grows in intensity as it dries down that i can't stand. might be the opoponax, but after half an hour or so, i get an unmistakable note of rancid honey, like someone's mead experiment gone wrong. i keep trying it, but i just can't get past that persistent sour/rotten cloying note beneath an otherwise beautiful woody coniferous perfume.

Sweet, foresty, leathery, tobacco-ey, mentholic and a touch masculine. Really reminds me of a well loved tobacco pouched with some loose mints on the side where you keep filters and rolling paper. The leather is imbued with the smell of a fine quality tobacco. You can tell this pouch was also worn by a man because it has a whisper of some masculine cologne like it was kept on the body in a place where the perfume was sprayed. This man also loved the outdoors and especially loved deep mountain hikes. He also loves chopping wood and doing ultra man-like activities. In saying that though, it does have a sweetness like a cup of black tea with 3 heaped teaspoons of sugar so it can be worn by female as it is mostly unisex overall, i just think it does lean masc (but not overly so). I do like this, something in it reminds me of Paimon but I like that one better and this reminds me of father [negative].

I thought from the notes that this was going to be the piney fragrance I've been searching for my whole life but unfortunately this isn't the case. Now I do definitely enjoy this fragrance and I probably need to give it more time so I can really appreciate it but it just doesn't have that forest-y vibe I was praying for. This fragrance is instead this balsamic, warm and cosy scent with a strong tea note and prominent resins backed by woods. It's quite frankly beautiful but not what I was looking for. Disappointing but at the same time quite nice 8.5/10

Like being a freshly washed kid and playing with hinoki, you know when you grab some of the stems and crush it in your fingers? That’s what this smells like but with spruce and soap.
