Medieval opulence, a still life painting of a bowl of poisoned fruits, a dagger sheathed in red velvet, gold embroidery that catches the flickering candlelight. Dark, gothic fruit and wine being slowly stirred in a cauldron. Orange peels bubbling in wine, soaking into the fruit. Very reminiscent of a fantasy novel, makes me think of Wildwood Dancing or Empire of the Vampire. Those dinner scenes at a long table before an assassination. There are medieval tapestries on the wall, candelabras lighting fanged smiles, the waiters are in on the plot. A clandestine meeting of women by moonlight, fireflies lighting the way. Metallic silver, a blade being drawn, chilled air swirling around a castle while a messenger rides in. A Victorian poison locket tucked into a corset. This scent is jewel toned and rich, like berries from a bramble in a witchy forest, deep red ceremonial wine and a hint of metal comes out in the dry down. Smells like the most delicious poison. Fantome is one of my favorite houses and they really shine with scents like this. Very sultry & romantic 🥀

The standout in this is the mulled wine, which I'm in love with. Blackberry is the next most obvious, especially as it dries down. My boyfriend said it was very citrusy, but to me, whatever citrus sent was there was subtle to nonexistent. A friend of mine said it smelled like a church, which I guessed could be the clove, or maybe (I hope not) dragon's blood resin incense. I was disappointed with the lack of metallic or mineralic (blood) notes-- they were completely undetectable to me, but they may surface as the evening goes on (I am 12 hours into the wear). That's largely the reason I bought it, though, so you can imagine my sadness. Otherwise, I really adore this scent. It feels very romantic, very night-time, sexy, and gothic. update: it did not in fact develop a bloody scent as I wore it. More and more mulled wine, which is not unpleasant, but still not the hot, metallic, wet sanguine smell I was promised :(

It's deep and poetic, primarily mulled wine and cloves. The berries come through softly but very subtly. The metallic/blood notes are purely marketing as they don't exist in the scent at all. Longevity isn't it's strong suite but it's very pleasant, palatable, and warm. May be to much for summer wear for some but I can see the appeal. Perfect recommendation for someone looking into artisanal scents without wanting to smell to extreme, but present an "extreme" diorama of scents. All in all though love it, and will keep in rotation.

Absolutely unreal fragrance. The initial blast was overwhelming but within a minute or two, I was in love. Sexy, dark, and a pretty unusual citrus scent. I honestly don't feel cool enough to wear this, but I'm going to anyway!

SO beautiful and nostalgic. Reminds me of the lollipops i used to get after doctors appointments as a kid. Very sweet but also still fresh, would be great for people who don't usually love gourmands. 10/10 would buy again.

silver dagger REALLY comes through. Great for when you want to wear a drink wine in a big coat on a frigid night and feel a little evil

Very romantic and gothic. I was surprised that the blood/metal notes didn't hit right away and instead the orange and wine came in first, feeling very dark and rich. The blood starts to creep in after a few minutes but isn't as overpowering as I was initially worried about, then the cloves and blackberry blend it all together to make the full image. I got this as a randomized free sample with my order (I ordered the 7 EDP pack and they give you 2 smaller extra ones) and I normally wouldn't pick it as my boyfriend can't stand metal scents but I'm happy to say it smells more like a dramatic bowl of fruit in a victorian painting or something. The blood note is there but doesn't define the fragrance to me, if anything I'd say the wine does. I highly recommend this to people who are interested in victorian/gothic aesthetics.

Very berry forward, more like sangria than mulled wine. The notes make it seem like something you'd wear in the winter, but to me this is a lovely perfume for a summer night's bonfire. The perfume overall is really reminiscent of A Midsummer Night's Dream. The metallic notes come through very subtlely, not overpowering to where it would start to smell like dirty hands. On it's own it smells a bit like librarian, but it layers nicely with boozy scents to create what I imagine Sanguine's quest in Skyrim smelled like.

I purchased a smaller volume of this and rolled it on and had a partner try, and he said it smelled of something that reminded him of his grandmother - I maybe should have purchased Rochester instead

This smelled like a berry candy on my skin. Not super sweet, but like a mixed berry jam.

i'm pretty much only getting berries with this one sorry to say! it's very pleasant though, like berry candy only without that cloying, childlike sugary feeling. a little nostalgic, a little spicy after it sits for a bit. i am a little disappointed i'm not getting any of those blood/iron notes but maybe after it sits a little it'll become stronger! that said i do love it as a berry-forward perfume, which is a marvel since i tend to hate sweet/floral perfumes. this one made me say "oh delicious" aloud upon putting it on my skin. i will still be full-sizing this but i am not fully convinced it's THE vampire perfume yknow?

When I first tried this out, the silver dagger/mirror notes where overwhelming. I was a bit sad, because that's not really what I expected. After letting it sit for a few weeks, though, the citrus and blackberry are starting to come through. Somehow the note blend smells like fancy handsoap, the kind you'd find in the bathroom of an expensive hotel that you stop into to check out the holiday decorations before sneaking in to use their bathroom. I don't get any mulled wine or blood. Not something I see myself wearing, but an interesting experience!

Very sadly didn't work for me :( I was expecting a vampire scent, of like strong metallic and wine maybe a hint of orange, but out of the bottle and on me it smells VERY strongly of citrus and only citrus. I will probably try to layer this to get use out of it. It might just be my skin or my nose i don't know, but I don't get any sort of depth to this one. Strong orange peel smell, and while it is nice (it smells quite fresh, like cut them myself fresh) I expected more depth, especially the metallic smell.
