Sweet Musk

It's hard not to enjoy this, a real crowd pleaser by Farmacia SS Annunziata. It started with an indolic and sweet jasmine with a green and natural rose just next to it, balancing out the sweetness perfectly. As I am not usually "musk friendly" what I enjoy here the most is - MUSK! It is very natural smelling, it is added in the perfect amount. "Sweet musk" is not too musky, nor too animalic, nor too soapy. Though I must admit this really smells like clean soap as promised, but very elegant and very high quality. The dry down is a lovely vanilla-amber-musk combo, no patchouli for me though. This is what you want your boss smell like - clean and professional, elegant and high-end. Even though this is pricey, it is with no doubt worth every $.

Well, it does what it says on the tin: sweet musk! Sweet, musky and floral. A bit soapy and maybe a little bit lived in, but not animalic to my nose. The projection and lasting power are both excellent. Really good musk fragrance if that’s your jam. It is certainly mine! Recommended.

Kind of a misleading name, maybe? I find this to be less of a musk and more of an animalic jasmine perfume. In fact, it has a civet-like tang to it, a kind of cat pee scent that some people do enjoy, but synthetic, which is great for animal friendliness. I also find this to be less of a sweet musk and more of a bright one, again, due to the jasmine they are using in this particular fragrance. Not soapy at all to my nose, but fairly floral instead. This makes a nice summer perfume because it has some heft to it, but it is not overbearing.

Oh my goodness, no. This is a truly animalic musk scent. It smells like the hind end of some type of wild creature with sugar syrup poured over it. Definitely not good. A scrubber, in my opinion. I never smelled the rose or any of the other notes except the patchouli, which was ruined by other notes. Quite an unfortunate disaster, I fear.

This is a very masculine musk with just a hint of sweetness. To be honest, it literally smells like my male relatives' faces around Christmas time. It smells like hugging them goodbye after they have been knocking back a few adult beverages and eating cookies.
