Tabacco d'Autore

WOW! Perfect blind buy! Better than expected. To my nose (I don't get the note table) a strong bergamot presents itself with tobacco. It settles down to a noticeable compliment to predominantly wormwood and leather with a slightly damp but noticeable tobacco. The long dry down reveals more wood and amber. Decent silage and reasonable longevity - not top of the class per se. Well made - smashingly different. I have tried many many tobacco scents however only these made my top list and as such for reference I own - PDM Herod, TF TV, Comptoir Sud Pacifique Rhum & Tabac, Xerjoff Naxos & Killian Light My Fire (which is overrated but anyhoo!) Of my fave refreshing tobacco scents I also own Miller Harris Fueilles de Tabac & Atelier Cologne Tobacco Nuit. This comfortably sits more so with these two as fantastically fresh tobacco scents great for summer or winter rather than the others which are amazing but not for all occasions. Now... what else can I purchase from Farmacia SS Annunziata?!

This is a very good tobacco scent! I have a few tobacco based fragrances and this one is my favorite. I enjoy it much more than Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford. The two scents are not compatible by any means and each one of them goes in its own direction. However, I prefer the tobacco in this one. The quality of this fragrance is very good too. It smells very natural and high quality! That was a good addition to my collection!

This was a blind buy and I have no regrets. The scent of tobacco in various forms balances and shifts between dry/austere and hints of not excessive richness. Vegetative/bitter,comforting, no signs of cigarettes or ashtrays. It lasted 8 hours; during the winter my skin dries until it sometimes cracks and fragrances generally are gone within 2 hours for EdT, less than an hour for EdC. My daughter gave instant approval.

Adding to my review after wearing it after such a long time... Still one of the more exceptional and unique... Let’s forget the note table - if you want to simplify the smell it’s like sweet lavender and talc with a slightly smoked blonde tobacco as per a cigarette that fades over a couple of hours to turn into damp tobacco. Fresh yet warming. Great for winter or summer. Very well done!

Grass blades can sometimes be razor-sharp and such fragrance notes smell green with a blade-like accuracy. The stirring depth of the top note in "Tabacco d'Autore" is the best proof of this. Slowly a very sweet tobacco blend creeps into the heart note and softens the very prominent grass a little. Finally, in the background, soapy aftershave notes. The fragrance is so versatile, but I miss the harmony of notes that is so important with tobacco fragrances. Fragrance 7/10, Longevity 7/10, Sillage 7/10

Yesterday I wore this fragrance in perfumery. I let it take its course and boom. Fantastic. Nowadays tobacco is mostly used only in sweet fragrances, which I do not tolerate as a tobacco lover. Here we have a different effect: Tobacco is the absolute protagonist between leathery notes and bitter scents. It is indescribable like wormwood and tobacco! Divine scent! This perfume has my complete esteem! GREAT!

I would like to smell this perfume. I like every single note of it.
