Verde di Persia

Another gorgeous blind buy. I spritzed it on before bed having been so long since I used it. I also bought V&R Spicebomb Night Vision last week. I often do stuff like that, you know, sometimes your subconscious tells you something - not for the first time I’ve tried an old perfume again only after receiving a new one and find it remarkably the same... Unlike Nightvision which as a fruity apple (or to me pineapple) vibe over the top of what would otherwise be Spicebomb, this is more gourmand fruity and sweet though not far off. This to me is really about a subdued apricot with a touch pistachio blown up and exaggerated by the apple, citrus and cassis. A soft rose enveloping it all. Very natural and like most of the sadly discontinued line, a shame it has never made the commercial impact that all SSFA deserve. Strong and unisex.

Wow! What a smashing change!!! Rich sweet syrupy apricot at first (almost like apricot syrup) boldened with a deep wormwood and mint at first. After a few minutes the brightness turns green and my god - pistachio green kernels turn up with eventually a sweet woody base. All the other notes are there but only as complimentary... Can not think of anything like it - very fresh - summer or winter - very male or great for women... If you like left field you have to at least try this... Another hit for me from FSSAD 1561 :)

Something about this reminds me a tad of Fruit stripe gum. It is sweet and fruity with some nice balance. I get that sour apple and apricot right up front then some Artemisia and Osmanthus are introduced. The gum aspect dies down and what I get is soft skin scent. I like it but could see maybe getting tired of it so I will sample some more. It is a different then the average fruity floral so that's fun. It is well made.

A perfume that excited me right away! it is unusual and mysterious at the same time, a unique perfume, it surprised me! The note i hear most is the pistachio, the green apple is sweet. It was a beautiful discovery, it transported me with its sweet and extremely evocative trail! It is a scent of transition between winter and spring ... Very beautiful! Sillage: 7./10 Longevity: 8.5/10 Scent: 9./10 Overall: 9./10

Right after spraying, the apple and pistachio notes are the most dominant for several minutes, giving the fragrance a fresh aura of spring and greenness. As the drydown progresses, the sweeter apricot and osmanthus notes emerge, turning Verde di Persia into a delicious and mouthwatering gourmand fragrance. Thanks to the perfect balance between fresh and sweet notes, the fragrance never gets overly sweet. After a few hours, the musk and patchouli dominate the fragrance and give it an elegant and perfumy smell. In my opinion, this is a rather unique fragrance and worth trying if you have the opportunity.
