Delicious Rice Milk

I was curious to try a savoury-leaning gourmand, as I’m not usually a fan of very sweet fragrances, so I was quite excited to test this one. It’s not bad overall. The opening is very lactonic, quite synthetic to my nose. When it dries down, it shifts into a more white-floral profile with strong projection. While it’s pleasant enough, it didn’t really impress me.

Pleasant enough, but kind of synthetic and one note. I was hoping to pick up the white flowers, the hazelnut, & the cereal quality of the rice more, but this is just generically sweet. It's not bad and probably a safe blind buy for gourmand lovers, but there's better more interesting rice scents & milky scents out there.

Hmm.... I got a sample of this and I'm writing this on my second wear. The opening of this is wonderful - an intense green smell that I can hardly describe as anything other than green takes over my nose. Not what I was expecting given the name but it is a pleasant start that is very fresh though not my usual profile. Tragically, as this dries there is a tanginess that starts to peek through the pleasant green further into the wear which is never a good thing when there's a dairy note! Things do take a beachy turn as others have mentioned - there is a lotiony sunscreen sort of effect which by the time you get to this the tang is calmed but you can still catch it within the slightly nuttier dry down. This just isn't wearable - on my first wear I wasn't picking up on the sour tang and it seemed a good warmer weather gourmand with the freshness but this feels confused and I am confused this was shipped! There is no time when this is the perfume to wear and even as I continue to write, it gets worse! There is something pissy happening that is like a pissed on weed on a hot day that has unfortunately caught your nose while you are walking through a park (not cannabis but garden weed)...... If you want an off kilter olfactory experience I guess this is the one for you.

It's a sweet, slightly lactonic rice scent. To me, it feels like a half-baked idea that doesn’t come together the way the perfumer probably intended. There’s something a bit nagging about it. It’s also too sweet for my taste. I don’t enjoy it.

This reminds me of the scent of sunscreen after you get out of the pool. Or maybe just expired sunscreen. Or sunscreen mixed with glue, or mixed with sweat. Or play dough. I dunno. Pass though. It isn't good.

This is horrific. Initial spray gave me a blast of butter. Which melts into a sour milk smell. This one is a scrubber for sure, I'm so glad I just got a sample and didn't blind buy.

Somehow this has a beachy smell to me?

When I let my partner know about a new sample I had gotten, I typod it as peefume. Little did I know how accurate it would be. It starts with a nice enough rice note but it sours VERY quickly, as other reviews mention. And it lingered all day. A personal memory it brought up was a multivitamin my mother would give me as a child. I hated taking it so I would hide it in my cheeks and stuff it into the pocket of my blue cotton bathrobe. The sour scent reminds me of those dried vitamins after a few days. Sad! Oh well, there's other rice fragrances to try.

Delicious Rice Milk is another failure of this brand. It is a highly synthetic candle like scent. It is piercing, screechy instead of soothing. The milk note seems spoiled. The rice....where is it? There is a high pitch floral note that should not be here if you are talking about rice milk dessert... If you want a good delicious sweet milky rice note you need to try Kenzo Amour... This is not it.

Fragrantica really needs a feature where we can suggest edits for the fragrances... who do I contact to point out the spelling mistake of the perfume's name??

Rice in Italian is “riso”. I suspect that’s how we ended up with “rise”. Anyway, I haven’t tried this fragrance yet but I hope to soon!
