gourmand power by federico cantelli ♡🥛🍦🍨🍮 to my nose this is a very well blended perfume. all the other notes compliment the caramel so well i almost didn’t detect them. this fragrance reminds me of one of my favorite desserts dulce de leche but it really settles into a dulce de leche icecream the longer is sits on my skin with the vanilla, milk, and honey really poking through. on first spray where the alcohol is very strong like most perfumes this did remind me of kremas a haitian alcoholic drink that is very creamy and sweet. i can see how this can smell just like caramel to other people because it is very caramel heavy but in a very delightful way. i have a perfume to compare to this one that has caramel as the only note and it made me realize i enjoy caramel notes balanced out with other notes for more depth and balanced sweetness and this is what this fragrance delivers to my nose. it also reminds me of flan! the dry down is gorgeous and really makes me crave a sweet treat. i am really glad this was the biggest sample i chose out of all the samples i got. delicious delicious delicious.

Gourmand Power is true to its name; it's a powerful and realistic perfume that strongly reminds me of creme brulée and panna cotta desserts, makes you feel edible! I love the combination of the notes, to me it's more suitable in fall/winter season. Federico Cantelli is a young brand that's going to be successful, the price fo such perfumes is so good for the quality it provides. I can't really say if it's similar to other popular gourmands of these times, but it definitely doesn't feel synthetic; on the contrary, it feels realistic and delicious, it's a must-try if you like gourmands.

Unlike others, I get no maple syrup, and that’s a note I hate so I’m very sensitive to it. I just get an extremely delicious photorealistic mouthwatering blast of caramel and that kind of slightly salty sweet caramelized pudding. It’s so good. I prefer it over sticky dates because even though they’re very similar, this one doesn’t have that dark boozy afford sticky dates does. This has nothing on sticky dates as far as longevity or strength though.

This is absolutely delicious and full bottle worthy! Just got my bottle and oh my gosh, it is amazingly sweet, airy and sooo delightfully yummy!! Caramel, sweetness, cotton candy, milky/creamy custard and a a tiny amount of something like licorice but it’s wayyyyyy in the background. Perfection! ✨✨ Great lasting power and faaaaaaaaar better done that Bianco Latte. If you love gourmand scents, this is a must try!!

Vanilla wafers with some caramel. I like it, very yummy! Nice that it doesn’t cost a zillion dollars too! Be aware that the boxes on these are very generic and look like testers. It may bother someone. Obviously it’s keeping the price down so I personally am fine with it though I do enjoy a nice box.

This reminds me of amore cafe. It has the same syrupy maple scent to it. It was a whole lot less expensive than what I paid for the other at the time. Wish someone would have told me that. I get a lot more of a buttery note in this one. So if you’re a fan of Amore Cafe, you’ll like this one.

I used to work at Starbucks and this is the exact scent of blending a caramel frappuccino. My small child says it "smells great!" and like the chocolate chip cookies we make. We use butterscotch pudding mix in them, so it's either that, or just the best smell she could think of. It lasts about 3 hours and no one in the house noticed it unless I asked them to smell my wrists. This is somewhat of a plus in that my husband detects and detests all chemical-y notes. It's so affordable but I'm not sure if I need to have a full bottle. Maybe it's because I don't have positive associations with the Starbucks phase of my life. I also recently found a caramel that is much creamier and more interesting (stuck on you by sorce), so I will be buying that for my caramel needs.

A perfect gourmand. The caramel and panacotta are evident and don't come off too strong- it's very well blended. I thought caramel was a note I didn't like until trying this. This scent could definitely be strong for some so I would sample first unless you love sweet fragrances. I love how it's a bit creamy and milky too. Unfortunately I only get a little bit of projection in the beginning and then it fades completely. If you love gourmands this is definitely for you! Would say I love this but it just doesn't last long enough for me.

It's crazy to me that there's no chocolate note in here, because the opening to me is delightful, bittersweet chocolate. I'm guessing that's the panacotta note. This is overall a sweet, slightly lactonic, brown-butter-caramel type of scent with a hint of that bitterness that keeps it from being overbearing. So far, I think it's the one perfume from the house I'd consider buying a full bottle of.

This is a thick maple syrup / caramel smelling fragrance to me. It is delicious and quite rich. I also picked up a bit of liquorice in the background although this fades after a few minutes. A gorgeous scent, but strong. I do think it could be nauseating if over sprayed. This would probably layer well with some scents. Perfect for a cold winters day.

Reminds me more of La tarte tatin on my skin, I get the comparison to escapade gourmand but this feels smoother. I like this and LTT but disliked escapade.

I received a sample of this from Lucky Scent. When I first dabbed it, all I could smell was a Creme Brulee. It was very nice, but not something I wanted to smell like all day. Then a small diaster happened; I dropped the sample and it splashed all over me. It wasn't but a tiny (1ml) sample, but I was committed to the scent after that, so I just dabbed the rest on my neck and wrists. My wrist smells like straight vanilla where the perfume landed under my watch band. On my chest area (under my dress), there is a sweet, nondescript scent. There is no scent, scent bubble or waft of fragrance anywhere else. I don't know if it's because I didn't spray like I usually do or because I didn't get as much on as I thought, but it's not noticeable at all. I might try a bigger sample before my final judgement, but for now it's not full-bottle worthy.

Smells like benzoin is in this but I do not see it listed on the maker’s site. I do not get along with benzoin. I did not care for the dry down of this. The opening, delicious! But then goes away so fast, it’s not worth it. I’ve had this happen before where descriptions will not list all the scent profiles and end up disappointed. Stating this for anyone who also dislikes benzoin or whatever chemical that gives the same vibe. It’s a chemical that masks or takes over and that’s all I can smell. So disappointing.

At first spray, this smells like straight up brown sugar crystals. As it mellows, ribbons of caramel and pannacotta. Sugary sweet, even after the dry down. I wish the pear note was crisp or juicy, to help cut through the sweetness. As a gourmand lover, this one might be too sweet for me to wear... it lacks balance. If you're looking for a photorealistic caramel pannacotta scent, this is it.

Straight up smells like waffles soaked in maple syrup & butter. At first I could see this being a fun scent for kids. The burnt caramel & pear creeps in maturing it a bit, but it still smells like scratch & sniff pancake stickers. Not a bad scent, but this should be a candle instead of an EDP.

It's rare that I scrub. But I just had to get this fragrance off my skin. Or, at least I tried. So, this is the third, or fourth Federico Cantelli perfume I've sampled and disliked. To my nose, the ingredients seem super-synthetic & very low quality. The fragrances nearly repulse me. The overly-synthetic compositions of the perfumes I've tried is cloying. I recoiled when I first sprayed Gourmand Power. For me, this fragrance is an overwhelming explosion of stale, sticky and synthetic caramel-maple syrup and sugar. I mean, to my nose this stuff smells really, really bad. It's nauseating. I don't think I could pull this off as an air freshener, it's that bad. I think I'm done with this house. The fragrances overall are uninteresting, poorly balanced, poorly blended, shriek-y and very low quality. It's a pass.

Opens with strong panacotta and rich coffee, almost chocolatey. Then the burnt vanilla/caramel we have all smelled before comes in to play and kind of stays there through the dry down and is a bit plastic doll head. Think Bianco Latte and Vaniglia.

I love gourmands, but I am getting all maple syrup here, which I’m guessing is the panacotta. The opening is so overly rich, it’s not enjoyable at all. The dry down stays pretty much the same, just not quite as strong. Dislike very much — 2/10.

I wanted to like this. In the bottle, and initially on first spray, it smells like a natural yogurt and not unpleasant. But on my skin it unfortunately turns medicinal, almost like vaporub. Very disappointing.

I got rid of it immediately after trying it. On the skin it’s like you were messing in the kitchen and you are left with a spread of sticky maple syrup. There are no other notes you can smell. I understand a gourmand, but this was bad. Way too sweet in a non perfumery way.

It's a buttery, caramel heavy perfume. I smell a hint of coffee from the panacotta on initial spritz, which lingers to dry down. I do smell the pear ever so slightly on the dry down, but it turns almondy based on the other notes. A pass for me.

I really thought I’d hate this after the reviews but it’s my favourite from this line. I get syrupy vanilla cake that’s not sickly sweet, especially as it dries down. Definitely one to try for yourself because the reviews had me so scared lol Edit (2026): This has quickly become one of my favourite scents! It lacks the mustiness that turned me off Sticky Dates and the sillage is powerful enough that I keep smelling my own trail. Beautiful, beautiful creation.

Smells very close to old school CSP Vanille Extreme. These aren't the droids you're looking for...move along...

This is so boring. I can’t even describe what I dislike. I can’t even find the notes. What is going on here
