Autumn 25

I really enjoy this one. Another lovely, seasonal offering from Ffern. I can see similarities between the Summer 25 and this Autumn 25 which to be fair - I rather enjoy and respect. This autumn is still to my nose, quite rich with the tuberose - it's a waxy, fleshy kind of tuberose - not bubblegum like. The spices in this one are lovely - not too heavy - just natural and warming. I don't get much pear but I'm OK with that. The apple note is very definitely present - but it's more of a spicy, warm cider note which I love. I particularly enjoy the dry down of these scents - the vetiver is insanely good. Lasts a reasonable 4/5hours. Projection is quite subtle. I feel like these definitely get better with age and maceration. I had an Autumn 23 which I never really paid much attention to and left the ledger. Clearing out, found it and re-joined as I was blown away by the depth and complexity which had evolved. As a side note: I live in Scotland - where the autumn/winters are long, dark and kind of dreary at times. I'm making a conscious effort to embrace the seasons more rather than simply wishing for spring 😅 - these perfumes certainly do help with that. Almost aromatherapeutic. I can get a very clear sense of the 'theme' from them which I think - is quite an art. I'm looking forward to the winter release. I love wearing them alongside my usual sig scents to add a bit of seasonal dimension.

I LOVE this one, It is fresh, green and quietly gorgeous! Bright ginger and grassy notes up top soften quickly into gentle woods and warm spice, with that unmistakable clean-air Ffern feel. This isn’t a cosy autumn scent — it lives in the herbal / green / transitional space alongside my Saltworks Infinity and Alchemy, and Beauty Pie's La Botanista. Calm yet uplifting, and effortlessly wearable! Honestly, this is one of those fragrances that just works without trying too hard. I thoroughly recommend if you feel like taking a break from all those cozy cold weather smokes, vanillas and gourmands out there at the moment.

It's really beautiful, as these are, however I don't tend to reach for them as they are so expensive and the performance isn't there - I can see using a significant amount of a small bottle to get "all day" out of a wear. I sprayed this less than an hour ago, and it's almost a skin scent. I really struggle with these, as I absolutely love them, but ..

I get no apple's or pear from this at all unfortunately, to my nose it smells quite simply like hay or a field towards the end of summer start of autumn. And honestly that's not a weakness nor bad thing: I love it.

A beautiful modern chypre, once dried down smells like apple pie

I really like the opening, the lemon rind comes through a lot, and the rest smells really grainy and spicy and a little powdery in the back. You can maybe convince yourself that there's some crabapple if you try hard enough, but as sure as the sky is blue there is no pear in here. I expected something just a little bit sweeter than what I got. The opening dies down after about 2 hours or so and after that lemon rind is gone the powdery white florals shine through. It's a good white floral, powdery and not soapy. But I don't like white florals unfortunately. As far as scent goes, I think it is really unique, I haven't smelled anything like it before. It gives me a feeling like I have a beanie on and I'm playing outside in the leaves, unlike a typical fall scent that is warmer. Not something I will end up wearing though, because I really don't like those white florals. My problem with this fragrance is the performance. It is really weak projection even in the opening, and after your 2 hours with that is up then you get a skin scent for the rest. Not that you have much more time with it anyways. It lasts only about 2 more hours on your skin, and honestly I can barely smell it on my clothes ever. That fact alone makes me want to send it back, not worth your money.

I've made a review on this fragrance in tiktok you can find me @One-wiff_fragrance but either way i'll detail the explanation here to me it starts like the autumn vibes from maison margiela but with a citrusy sweet tone to it my first thought was "this is insteresting even a better "autumn" fragrance that the one I previously mentioned then the dry down. Quite dissapointing but still a nice fragrance it reminded me of a tea and spice store to be precise it reminded me of a blood orange tea they were selling I could say they made a Blood orange tea fragrance spot on, I couldn't get the booziness of the cognac but I did got hit by a lot of woods. short description of the fragrance Drinking a blood orange tea on a cabin in the middle of the rain forest after it rain in the middle of changing between fall and winter. that's how I picture this fragrance. that is just my nose ofc.

Admittedly this is quite similar to Summer 25 (especially in the opening) but brighter, lighter, and with less citrus. The apple (and maybe some pear) emerges in the drydown, and given the marketing being so orchard-focused (though based on sunlight in the orchard and not the orchard itself) I think some criticism of misleading marketing is fair. While the apple and spice in this give off fall vibes, the notes are pretty indistinguishable overall. I don't usually like white florals, so maybe this is how I still enjoy this fragrance. Overall, this is light and inoffensive-- I really like it, but it's nothing exceptionally special.

Along with the other reviews, I will say this scent very much changes the longer you wear it (although it could also just be my chemistry.) For me, after about 5h it goes from a straw-like summer field --> a soft (cute petal-leaning) scent that's very easy on the nose. It isn't strong, which I like unfortunately since it takes about 5h for it to get to where I like it :') The initial spray is a pretty interesting scent if you like the idea of sunshine, yellow grassy fields, a stroll in the forest, and straw baskets! All in all, I like this one a lot mostly for how its scent evolves.

If Cartier declaration was made by Diptyque (in a good way). Opening is a little bit rough (bug repellent), but it settles down into a nice tea-y white floral that's well put together. There's a dusty quality but all very subtle. The presentation of the box and things that come with it adds a nice touch. It's a soothing calm scent that I don't think works well if over sprayed. People that are more interested in natural perfumery will probably enjoy this as I don't find it to be mass appealing, but also, not challenging. None of the comparisons here in Fragrantica spoke to me.

This does have apple, but it's not sweet (like Cirque du Soleil) or rotten (like Ffern Winter '24). This is dry, more like apple peel, oak leaves, straw, and flannel with a blanket of grandma's ylang ylang perfume woven in. It's wonderfully nostalgic without smelling old. I'm trying to remember if it's similar to Safeguard beige soap (giggle). I decided to return this before opening the full bottle, but now I still covet the sample. It's great sprayed on objects, but not my skin.

I haven't smelled any of the other Ffern fragrances, but this reminds me of walking into a Lush store. It's like some combination of bath bombs...maybe Lord of Misrule, Sex Bomb, Intergalactic, and/or Dragon's Egg? I do like it, but for an autumn scent, I wish the citrus were toned down some and it had more spice or something else to make it a bit darker and deeper. Is it worth the price? Probably not. But I like it enough that it's also not worth the hassle of sending it back.

Also the tea it comes in is amazing 8.0 /10 fragrance 10/10 fragrance 8.0 because I wish it could be less citrusy and more darker, colder or a bit floral sweet.

I was so hoping for Apple and pear, like a sunny orchard scent with flowers and dry leaves. But... nah. It’s white florals all the way. It’s way too bright of a fragrance for what I was expecting, and really hoped for a deeper darker note underneath. I got none of the pink peppercorn and ginger spice either! I think I will let this one age for a while before trying it again as per recommendations of other reviews. But after the perfection of the summer fragrance this year, Autumn let me down a bit.

So disappointing. I had high hopes for this, having loved Summer 25 and excited about the apple and pear notes. I was deeply disappointed to be able to detect neither apple nor pear, instead my Autumn 25 smells of spicy hay and an overdose of olibanum. It’s false advertising to create enticing marketing campaigns of apple orchards and photo shoots of juicy pears, only to produce a spicy mess that doesn’t smell of either fruit!

This smells almost identical to Summer 25 except it's slightly brighter? I guess? But despite the difference in notes, there's very little actual difference between them. Disappointing. And now I'm off the ledger!

smells like my granddad's cologne, good and fresh scent but not for me unfortunately

I just cancelled my membership. I gave them one last chance to WOW me and it just doesn't do anything for me. They all smell similar and you would expect so much more for the price. Why doe their fragrances NEVER smell like they say they do?? The presentation is outstanding. I wish it smelled as good as it looked. i received Autumn 25 and sampled the test bottle. i immediately took it to the Post Office and returned it. I don't want to make myself like a fragrance. It should wow me or at least give me a good feeling from the start. i always find myself trying to force myself to enjoy their fragrances. For the price tag you should get so much more. I am sorry to have to write this review because the company is a very good company. Very good customer service and very good presentation. But there are so many other fragrances that you could have brought and fell in love with instead of forcing yourself to enjoy this fragrance house. i think the best word i can say for fragrance house if UNDERWHELMING!!!!!!!!!!

Had to return this one. The only note that stood out was a screechy, pungent pepper followed by a brief whiff of apple-scented candle. Very odd juxtaposition. Longevity is weak as to be expected from a natural perfume. I stayed on the ledger because I found Spring 25 to be a lovely, uplifting take on violet, but I will remove myself after the next release because I prefer more substance and longevity in a fragrance and there are so many better options out there.

I was really excited for this. Always wanted to get a ffern and was severely disappointed. Perhaps it’s just my chemistry, however. It opens very nice. Good floral, hint of apple, very calming and mellow scent. Unfortunately it begins to fade into smelling like a dusty old vintage store. The kind where it becomes hard to breathe in and you begin to question if the building is molding. Tldr - I want to love it, but it smells like an unmaintained antique store.

Pepper, pepper and MORE pepper.... its green GINGERY pepper and it actually hurt my nose to smell. I would say its more masculine/ androgenous. I don't HATE it, that would be a strong word... but it you want ANY of the florals that they list in the notes, promise you wont find them. Its "where's waldo" for ANY floral whatsoever :( Definity not worth having to wait on a list for that price... I only had a sample but I will be giving it away for sure.

I wanted to love it, especially because the notes sounded incredible but, unfortunately, it’s a no for me. I get no fruit or floral notes. My first thought was that it smells like a vintage fragrance that has lost about 60% of its top and heart notes and just smells old. After a while, it smells like ground carrot and tomato seeds on me. I’m going to reach out to Ffern to see if perhaps the spray sample oxidized or went off.

I hate this. It’s just green ylang ylang. It smells nothing like an orchard, nothing like fall, just like a floral soap with an odd screechy bitterness. Unfortunately you only have 14 days to return it and I missed that window. The whole thing seems so gimmicky. There’s a limited run and a waitlist, but my friend and I both got in (we didn’t know we both put our names in) AND now we’re on this list for each run? Ok sure. I don’t need a tea bag and a popup paper cutout of an orchard and exclusive access to some sort of video, I need a fragrance that smells like the notes listed.

I agree with Lady Gourmande, the marketing on Autumn 25 is misleading, I get absolutely no fruit, just white mortuary style flowers and a very sharp screechy and quite enduring note that I can’t quite identify but is offensive to my nose. No orchard, no fruit, I can’t even say I get any spice.. needless to say I returned it. It was my first fragrance with Ffern, I was so excited by the description and marketing.. I had high hopes, fingers crossed that their next shipment is more to my liking.

Unfortunately I hate this. I personally can’t stand ylang ylang, and the pepper and ginger somehow enhance it. I have an unopened bottle i failed to return if anyone would like to buy it. Send me a DM!

I'm still deciding on this one. I love the top notes but after it's been on my skin for a few hours it starts to smell like something an over perfumed old lady would wear. I have a distinct memory of an older woman in a fur coat at the grocery store one year smelling like this. However, it isn't that strong thankfully. I might end up returning this one. I am going to give it the weekend to see if my opinion of it changes. Day 3: I decided to keep this scent. In the pamphlet it says to wear it day to day to really get to know the scent and I definitely feel this scent has grown on me. Today I am wearing it on the back of my neck and wrists and every time I rub my neck the scent still seems very fresh. I do smell the pear and apple but this is definitely a spice heavy perfume which I do like. I still feel like it is a more mature scent but there is nothing wrong with that.

This was my first time trying Ffern and I had such high hopes but I didn’t like this at all. I was expecting something exquisite and instead I got crushed ladybugs thrown into a bowl of potpourri. IYKYK 😩

It's very disappointing, super disappointing for the price. The quality is poor; the promised notes are not noticeable. Altogether, the fragrance was unpleasant.

This is my everyday, not too much but a happy scent. It’s not occasion wear or to make any statements
