Not your typical citrus, Summer 21 is a heavenly rich scent that does not isolate the citrus fruit that many citrus Hesperides-like perfumes do, but rather the entire citrus plant/tree is included giving Summer 21 a full bodied scent like no other. The sweet addition of hay makes this perfume comforting to wear. I am on my knees in trying to find a dupe for Ffern's Summer 21 and the 'closest' is Fieno by Santa Maria Novella but even then, they smell wildly different and the only similarity is the 'hay' component in both and the comforting smell of summer.

Current favorite fragrance. Not a typical citrus opening - must be the green mandarin cooling it all down. Can’t really detect the jasmine in the middle but it’s probably tempering the neroli and lemon peel as they’re not overly bitter. The hay, labdanum and cedar at the base are my favorite part though. It’s so unique and outdoorsy without being either floral or woodsy. Obsessed. But might not be the safest blind buy (fortunately you get free returns with Ffern!)

Such a beautiful scent, something about it reminds me of the sweet fresh spiciness of a home made thai green curry, in the best way. Perhaps it's the green mandarin and lime reminding me of lemongrass, lime and thai basil? I love the sweet hay notes that underscore the citrus, it smells like summer. The perfume manages to carefully tread the line between natural floriental and gourmand. Seems to be getting stronger, more delicious and more gorgeous with age, too!

Incredible fragrance, I wish there was more of these laying around because I just finished my bottle and need another!
