Summer 24

This fragrance is beautiful to me because it really feels like a scene around you. I think it smells like food. Not actually, but it’s comforting in a similar way. It’s really a margherita pizza. It’s also my dad? It’s energizing. My nose is not advanced whatsoever. I don’t recognize most of the notes in the list. What is olibanum. But I can read this one in terms of memories. If I’m being completely honest, it’s not one of my favorites because it’s not feminine enough for me. But I love wearing it because it feels special. Like a happy place I was able to go to during work. This is only my second Ffern scent and probably my last because I’m frankly not able to afford them. Spring 24 was cool. But I don’t have many words about it. It wasn’t as special to me. It didn’t take me to age 9 sitting in a restaurant drawing with a crayon on the wax paper that was on top of the tablecloth. Unhappy. But still vivid and hungry. Like I said before. I’m not advanced enough for this. But I appreciated this one more than I’ve ever appreciated a fragrance before! <3

My favorite Ffern so far. So addictive and unique. I get the citrus, fennel, and patchouli the strongest— I’ve seen reviews elsewhere describe a sort of hippie incense vibe, which I think is due to the strength of the patchouli, and I love it, but if that’s not your thing I think there is still plenty to enjoy here. Such a wonderful warm weather scent that’s still earthy, spicy, deep, & interesting instead of just a run of the mill citrus freshie. The one drawback, as others have stated, is the performance. It does linger, but it stays very close. I have to absolutely douse myself in this to get a slightly ok-ish sillage, and even that settles down too quickly. To be expected I guess for an all-natural warm weather scent (though tbh I think this is a year round wear given the depth and complexity). I’ve made a huge dent in my bottle and will likely trade in a future Ffern scent I don’t love as much for another of this.

A day of spicy, sexy citrus. Like you woke up among clean, crisp sheets in a sun-dappled room with your lover. They make you a fresh juice, and give you a lingering kiss. You can still taste the heat from the night before, and your skin is warm from the morning sun. It's peak summer, and you have the whole day - the whole week - ahead of you. One of my favorite Ffern scents to date!! Perfectly bright and spicy, with a soft and unexpected dry down that feels like a cozy embrace

My fave of Ffern series so far. SO insanely delicious. I honestly don't like most perfumes but enjoy essential oils. Most perfumes smell too much like chemicals to me, and seem to have bad reactions on my skin. Ffern is delicious and just so addictive. I wish it was not as expensive as it is, but whatever, it will be my guilty pleasure.

This is beautiful! Like a sweet citrus tea spiked with rum. Settles to a pleasant patchouli skin scent after 10+ hours. Sillage is more moderate but the longevity is there for me.

On my skin, this ends up smelling like Sweet Tarts, but it is just so good straight out of the bottle. It smells more like how I think it was intended on my fiancé, citrussy and peppery, and a tad sweet to take the edge off. Like making lemonade with the window open and snacking on a caprese salad. Underneath everything is Ffern's signature Hay note. Even though it is a little too sweet on me, I still really like it! It's my go-to perfume for when I want something more feminine leaning.

I get citrus and clove (which I wouldn't expect to enjoy so much in summer but it's nice) and a whiff of celery. The hay base is subtle to me but I detect it. I'm not smitten but I'm intrigued – it gets points for being unique. Poor longevity for me. The marketing and packaging has no bearing on ratings, but it's a twee (and tea) delight.

This starts off beautifully, then turns into a men's aftershave smell in the drydown. Perplexing and such a disappointment because the citrus opening is gorgeous! Summer 25 by Ffern is much better.

In the opening, it is very rich in citrus and warm. At first when I tried this fragrance it was almost offensive, because I hated how strong the orange was in this. And I felt it was too warm for summer. I have worn this on a sunny summer's day, and it definitely does not cut the heat. It isn't fresh to me, it's just very warm which I think could be the fennel and other spices in this. It wouldn't cut the heat. But then again fragrances tend to project warm on my skin so possibly someone else may have a different experience. As I've tried it here and there a couple times, I mind it less, but I don't feel very called to it, or that it really embodies me. It's not something I would buy a full bottle of, but I don't mind having the sample to use here and there for certain occasions or scenarios. The citrus sort of just feels like it's sitting on my skin. The other spices seem to "hug" my skin more but the citrus is so prominent that for the entire fragrance itself, it doesn't embrace my skin. Probably because heavy citrus is not my taste. It's very juicy, and rich. I'm more of an earthy floral kinda girl. The dry down is still pretty citrusy, but definitely tones down to a more spicy aesthetic. I can definitely smell the corriander and fennel and it made my nose tickle. The projection isn't world shattering. I can still smell the wafts gently from an arm's length away though, and what I smell is the citrus and the fennel. The impression I got from this fragrance is definitely something very organic which I really love in a fragrance house. It gives off a slight essential oil vibe which I don't hate, it's jus very organic and does not suit a clean mall fragrance store vibe. I feel I would wear this fragrance simply for my own experience, or enjoying a day with my friends or even hiking. It's definitely a personal experience and something more intimate. It's not something I'd wear if I want to stand out, leave a signature trail behind me where I go, for a night out or an occasion where I would want people to notice my presence as I walk by. If you want something that feels very organic, citrusy, essential oil-y, and natural, I think you'd enjoy this fragrance and this brand. The aesthetic of that the advertising and marketing that this brand sells is very accurate to the experience.

Very strong herbal/ green opening. Dries down to a sweeter earthy aromatic scent i kind of like but don't want. I barely get the citrus, and the rest of the scents are unique that I even can't dissect it down. This is my Ffern bottle so it kind of makes sense ig. It performed okay-ish on my skin. On paper, however, it reveals a tar-like citrus, which i believe is kinda bad. All that herbal and citrus is just nauseating. But it is unique, complex and okay. Short lived sillage and longevity. Unisex kind. Someone below me said "boozy tea/ herbal tea rum" they ain't lyin.

I love so many of the notes in this scent so I was convinced that even if I didn't love it, I'd like it... sadly, not so much. I love herbal scents-- something that smells like a spa is up my alley in certain contexts. Aveda is my fave of all the haircare, for scent alone, and I'm SUCH a sucker for a good Patchouli ( my faves are by Petite Histoire and Sana Jardin) but this one is very sharp, bitter, and totally overpowers any nuance in the layering of notes-- I get zero citrus. The dry down happens quickly and smells like Irish Spring soap which is just... ick. Fall '24 def falls close to this but with a bit of an apple cider vibe that sweetens and tames it, which I still don't love but prefer.

this perfume is awful. overpowering, unnatural, and not at all pleasant. i find that my nose is pretty advanced when it comes to perfume, but any unique notes it may have muddle together to make a smell that is less complex and more overwhelming and confusing. i can sort of get what they're going for- citrusy and spicy, which is usually a scent i like, but something about this is just disgusting... and i find it has a very chemical scent. 1/10.

I really wanted to like this. I loved the opening, a mellow spicy citrus... The nutmeg initially smelled great w the citrus. But that faded quickly. Then it did a weird turn. It became funky like sweaty armpits. I think it is the combo of fennel and coriander with the nutmeg This had better longevity than spring 24 but still fleeting I returned it because of the terrible turn it took on the dry down. Those spices were heavily savory and stinky

I actually really loved the feeling of smelling this perfume, like lying in a wheat field looking at an endless sky. Would pair nicely with a long dry hot summer. However the longevity sucks It'd be really nice to smell it past the first 5 minutes... I don't recommend simply because it just goes way too fast :(

quite possibly the worst scent i've ever smelled in my life. i don't even own this perfume. my friend does. it's thick, overpowering, and headache-inducing. this is the expensive version of when teenage boys would douse themselves in axe after gym but worse. VERY fennel and patchouli forward. i would rather stand in a room full of 100 chainsmokers than near someone wearing this perfume

Been waiting for this to be added here. Beautiful scent in my opinion. The blood orange is so strong in the opening a very pleasant citrus. It drys down to a dried herb then becomes a citrusy woody aroma again. Again a beautiful scent. Long lasting and strong. 10/10 Summer scent for me.
