But Not Today

It has a unique accord that smells like getting uppercut with a mouthful of blood. As a fighter I vouch it's as accurate as it could be. The whole perfume smells like biting through a predatory animal's flesh and tasting its blood through the dirty animalic musk and smokiness of fur. The blood finally dries out and only tinge of metallics remain of it so that the animalic leather can show its full beauty. Beautiful leather made by castoreum animalics, styrax smokiness and defined by florals (spanish-esque). The texture of the leather is not a floral though (none of the usual iris, violet or saffron), the texture is an aroma-chemical (isobutyl quinoline) that is used in modern faux leather perfumes, but again for the use of three scent aspects of genuine leather it doesn't feel chemical at all. After another three hours the florals start to take over the spot light for yet another unique stage to finish this madness, I'm not the expert of the floral notes here to describe them more than the overall types and names so I'll leave it at that. To whom do I recommend? Are you crazy, are you bored with everyday life, does your food taste like ash or the grass seem grey? Do you secretly enjoy a good wound? (Or better yet openly adore one) did you think there's no perfume for you, weirdo? Well here it is. You gotta love animalic leather and metallic blood. I told you what it resembles in my mind, being the predator of a predatory animal! The bite, the feast and a nap in the garden afterwards. Who do I imagine wearing this? Someone crazy! In a dangerous intelligent way, a sophisticated brawler, two faced, inflicting pain and attending aftercare, a dominatrix/dom and an artist. In short: Marquis de Sade or Elizabeth Bathory. The accord pyramid according to my nose is simple: blood on top, animalic leather in the middle and florals deep in the base. It starts loud transits into next level each two~three hours while the projection lowers to moderate and then an inch above skin for the floral final act. Personal: I love it, there are many strange perfumes that are truly niche (appealing only to a small group of people) but this one is mine. It's not particularly well made, but the taste is what makes it unforgettable, it's the only blood available for a lifelong thirsty Dracula, of course it tastes delicious. My favorite from Unum, I don't wear it as much as "Io Non Ho Mani Che Mi Accarezzino il Volto", but I feel alive everytime I do. A big big big love.

Thoughts on a sampling... * Very linear, nothing wrong with that. * The scent reminds me of the candle and home decor isles at Marshall's and Home Goods stores. * With regards to the Hannibal theme it's a cheap second rate smell, not of the real McCoy. * Leans more towards Target rather than Neiman Marcus. * Smells like a mix of metal candle holders with faux paint jobs along with vanilla wax candles wrapped in plastic and tied with ribbon lace. * Reminds me of being inside a Hallmark Cards Gift shop. * Very nice bottle. * Smells metallic but not like blood. Rusty iron smells like blood but it's not present here. * Has a plastic vinyl Saran Wrap funk to it. * 2 1/2 hours and it's a skin scent. BUMMER because it leaves me wanting more. * Revisiting it after 48 hours and must say it is quite interesting in it's own peculiar way. * The film scene in question “But Not Today” does not take place in Italy but rather it takes place in the USA and is at the end of the film just before Hannibal (Anthony Hopkins) chops his hand off! * Upgrading it from "ok" to "like" and could easily become a "love" but still trying to gauge the poor longevity issue. *Tried it a half dozen times now and decided to upgrade to "love" it as a scent however it only projects for two hours tops! I get over 8 hours as a very weak skin scent. That sucks! ** Final thoughts. I really like this one a lot and want it so badly! And for $250./100ml from Lucky Scent I would be all over it, that's how good it is. But it needs to last longer!! So, sad to say I won't be getting this one. I am excited to say that I will be trying more of Filippo Sorcinelli's fragrances. *** Please make a version of "But Not Today" with better projecting power than just 2 hours if at all possible, please.

but not today revealed my previously undiscovered adoration for carnal, animalic fragrances. i smelt it and wore it for the first time a few months ago.. here are some words i wrote after that experience: it was the bottles [unum bottles] that immediately drew me in. but ‘but not today’ fucking blew my mind. i cannot stop thinking about it or smelling my wrists. it is so inhuman yet so human, so erotic, animalic, insidious, violent and INSANE.. unlike anything i have ever smelt before. it was absolutely shocking at first, so unnerving and intense; so much so that i initially thought i’d made a mistake by spraying it onto myself. the smell was so viscerally strong that it made me feel mildly nauseous and claustrophobic, even though i was walking outside in extremely windy weather. i was wrapped in a sickening veil and couldn’t escape it. but the more it settled into my skin, the more it revealed it’s complexity.. transforming into something that i now find so primal and arousing. i was literally running around college asking everyone to smell me because i couldn’t control my excitement. i feel it has unearthed a hidden part of me. it has done something to me anyway jesus christ. now, it’s not *as* shocking to me. i bought 2 tester vials of it shortly after that so i’ve worn it a lot and got to know it better. it really is immense for the first half hour, and it’s not something i’d casually wear everyday but as i said before, once it settles down its true beauty unravels. spicy, smokey and meaty. human & wild animal body odors, rusting metal, dried blood and a streak of carnation. so sinister yet seductive. thank you but not today and the perfume boutique owner for opening me up to the world of filippo sorcinelli.

finally got around to trying this on skin. up front, immediately after spraying, it is cinnamonny nail polish. that quickly goes away, carnation and animalics taking center stage, something vaguely gourmand and doughy fluttering around the edges of the scent. there is nothing metallic or sharp or unpleasant or gross about this, apart from the direct opening being very chemical. christ this is sexy! very wearable. it smells like my grandpa. or my dad. still very sexy, tho, dunno what the implications of that might be for me... anyway, yeah. clean and dirty at the same time. stuffy and leathery and fuzzy, furry. very dry-warm-spicy... theres something cinnamony going on here! might be worth mentioning i bought a sample of this (partially because of the scent profile, yes, but mainly-) because the silence of the lambs is my favorite movie ever, and i secretly wish to marry anthony hopkins' hannibal. so i might be a little biased. this might smell like old man to you. but to me it is clean, masculine, fuzzy, warm and sexy. but not so masculine that only a man could rock this, definitely unisex. or right, forgot to mention. cigs! smells like someone who smokes a looooot of ciggarettes. surprisingly very powdery-floral. so good. im in love. smells like old carpet flooring, a little, as well.

While my first impression of this fragrance was conflicted and confused, I found myself coming back again and again to my sample of _but not today_. It is the first fragrance to make my heart race from the adrenaline alone of its grotesque first impression. The combination of blood and metal reminds me of an autopsy table and the threat of something yet to decompose... and I couldn't stop smelling my wrist to see what it would tell me next. In a word, I find it carnal - bloody, erotic, and sets the mind spinning. The emergent floral notes (arriving about 30 minutes in) are tasteful and beautiful, but one is never quite allowed to forget its clear tone of murder and morbidity. However, in its "drying" breath, I noticed that the sweetness from before had transformed into something I can only describe as spiced honey. Like baking? Definitely warmer, and tranquil enough to calm the otherwise erratic beast that sorcinelli has created. It fits the duality of Dr. Lecter shockingly well. Personally, I love it. I just received the bottle in the mail. Is it for everyone? Probably not. Though, every time I wear _but not today_, I discover something new within its composition. Positively Baffling.

What could I say to filippo sorcinelli if not that he is a magician perfumer?but today it does not start to repel me ... smell of enamel paint and nothing else ... some metallic notes ... musty smell ...But no ... it can not end here I say ...In fact ... I continue ... and after about an hour ... the blood notes become lighter but softer ... with a background that is almost annoying in the paint but which you can not do without ( as well as Clarissa seems can not do without Hannibal Lecter) ... and feel that it will change for the better and it does ... not immediately, but it does ... the animal notes and the castoreum emerge in particular throughout the their strength ... and then the lily again ... opens the way to a wonderful floral scent. .. and it does not end here ... even if it is not listed as a note ... after 6 hours the perfume still evolves (and is already 4 total changes) in a splendid and simple incense. a majestic perfume. incredible show. price a bit high. but it deserves all the money. grande filippo.10 / 10 You shocked me again after I have no hands caressing my face and the new violon basse Only applause and bowing. What an interesting perfume. From a strictly perfumery point of view, I think this is rather successful in what it sets out to do. As someone who works in a the medical field, I'm very familiar with the smell of blood and I do certain smell it in the back here. It's buried in the back of the greenness of galbanum and angelica but it's there. It's rather animalic too (styrax?) and kinda smoky (calamus, most likely). The man is definitely quite a character but a lot of the stuff I've tried I really enjoy. This one I thought I couldn't wear honestly but it's not bad at all, you just have to be ready for a very green and herbal scent with metallic overtones. It doesn't last that long but it's very volatile and airy, I can smell it in the air for a few hours when I move around. Spring is the season for it I would say, because of the greenness and herbal elements. Because the muskiness is very "furry", I just can picture a werewolf with this fragrance. A lot more than the Hannibal Lecter reference, to be honest. Fur, blood and greenness. Still surprisingly wearable if you're into unconventional fragrances (which I am).

And the killing begins. The start is terrifying just like a fatal blow. A sharp smell and a lot of mixed emotions, from disgust to intolerance. After a while, the horror subsides, I imagine the floor full of blood, the heating in the apartment is very high, the smell of blood slowly evaporates and is no longer so sharp, but a soft smell. A bit animalistic, a bit erotic, in fact, all in all, I would say somewhat carnivorous. Drydown becomes interesting, acceptable, wearable but very special, by no means for everyone. I wanted to try it, knowing it was a monster, but I didn't think I would end up liking it. Not for sensitive people.😉 **After 6 hours the smell changed completely, very pleasant, very acceptable, but it was a rollercoaster ride from hell to something really nice. So good, I love it.

Love, love, love this. Was attracted by the name and origin story. Definitely a perfume that would earn the fixation of a murderous psychiatrist. The opening metallic tang is super sharp and almost offensive. Like citrus juice spurting into an open eye. Reminds me of walking into a freshly sanitized surgical suite. Antiseptic and chemical. This jarring note rather quickly swirls into the florals and castoreum to become something warm and delicious. Musky and earthy. But still strange with the funerary white florals, and leather, and the remaining hint of disinfectant. Makes me smell like someone who arranges flowers and requires regular medical treatment. Someone with fresh but professionally cleaned wounds. Haven't smelled anything quite like it. Full bottle worthy.

This is 10/10. I came expecting blood,metal and reading here i've seen people mention meat... To me this gives off a smell of a metal sparkles while its getting cut. I can sense why people mention blood since it gives off the smell of sweet dried blood but not in a bad way. I see no resemblences to the meat or anything close to it. Projection wise its amazing with great sillage lasts 12h plus on a skin. Personally it is very wearable, very floral especially in the drydown, you get some old school fougere vibes from it. To me this is the second best perfume I've ever tried. To me this gives off so much comfort that i cannot compare it to any other perfume. Give it a chance it is not a blind buy but definetly worth checking out.

I got this from scent-split and let me tell you, I’m absolutely in LOVE with this cologne/perfume. It smells sinister and threatening but also sexy in a weird way. It lasts for a good while (almost 12 hours) and is pretty strong, so a little goes a long way with this. In regards to the supposed scent of blood, I can smell it but its not as pungent as I was made to believe, I mostly smell floral notes, leather, burnt rubber, maybe some dirt, and maybe iodine. I could 100% see how this is based on Hannibal Lecter, 100%. If there was a way for me to smell it for the first time again, I would, literally I can’t get tired of this cologne and it’s gonna be my new thing from now on.

I first treid this fragrance in a very hot summer weather and all i could smell back then was very sharp cayenne pepper and i disliked it a lot I'm trying it again today in a more cold environment and i still get this subtle spiciness that reminds me of cayenne but it's not as overpowering and overwhelming as it was back then The opening to me is very unique and i find it quite hard to interpret especially in pointing out which notes i smell As it starts to dry it becomes very aromatic and a bit spicy with sweet nuances There are hints of animalic notes deep in the base, but it is by no means a smell of blood or raw flesh (way too aromtic to be the smell of blood)

Blind testing BUT NOT TODAY was a real treat! At first nose it gives off a clean like quality that reminded me a little of bleach and aldehydes, similar to spraying cleaning chemicals from a can of compressed air. This is almost dirty water like, the castoreum note is there which gives it a woody, watery like quality. The lily is definitely a prominent note in my nose and it gives off a rotten flower vibe that last quite a while. I adore this fragrance, it's unique and challenging and I must test this out all day soon. The sillage is soft and kind and the longevity could be a bit longer! I wore this outside during a hot day in Scotland and it was wonderful.

I had a WAYYY different expectation for But Not Today. After reading other reviews I understood that it was inspired by Silence of the Lambs and was supposed to smell like blood. Straight out of the sampler, it smells like an extremely sexy cologne. I don't get the blood, it also doesn't smell unisex but distinctly male. Very refined, this scent is methodical like Hannibal Lector. It has the best balance of a brighter floral tone and dark, musky other side. If you've smelled Avignon, this is it's older, career politician brother. If I had a boyfriend I'd buy him this scent easily. It's beautiful but I don't get the blood or fear.

Absolutely amazing elegant, nonchalant and heavy fragrance. I can easily imagine wearing them for a suit, as well as for a avantgarde/alternative outfit. I smell a lot of smoke, dark flowers, metal and leather mixed with some animalistic note. For me, such combinations are very dignified, the scent is rather warm-heavy than metallic-cold. Also, at some point it reminds me construction site smell/smell of renovation, but in a good way. Really interesting fragrance, kind-off reminds me of more "delicate" version of Bulls Blood (2nd version). In some way. Wish i can buy whole bottle of them, but they are kinda to expensive for me.

This is a very interesting fragrance. I see that many reviewers deem it not wearable. I disagree. It's a cold, bitter, musky, and somewhat smoky scent, quietly and elegantly threatening. There is a certain oily (? or maybe resinous) quality to it. The metallic note does not necessarily remind me of blood, there are scents with much more prominent and realistic blood note. Sure, this is not an office scent, nor it is for the faint of heart. It demands certain gravitas from the wearer, you need to match this scent's energy.

This is a divine art, repulsive yet sultry, I truly find this a sexy fragrance, animalic, wild, Frivolous erotic, its dark and puts teeth on edge with bloody chemical notes that smell like the sloppy clean up of a murder scene, then followed by spicy smoky animalic florals on the dry down. A sinister metallic blood like scent wet and spicy, sickening and seductive. My personal favourite in my collection, a real art piece!

i really don't get any of the 'meatiness' that anyone is talking about nor am i unsettled by it. it honestly opens up at first smelling like a lush - SUPER herbacious and bright and warm. the dry down is slightly more masculine and the lavender pushes out in front a lot more. ultimately feels more like something hannibal nbc would wear over SOTL hannibal.

Smells like walking into a very old dusty incense shop haha. Im not very good at picking out scents in perfume, but I loved the more earthy/spiced scents. I dont really understand the negative reviews or those saying it smells like meat. Just smells old and herbal. Either way definitely try a sample, 9.7/10. <|:0)

It opened for me as the most generic manly perfume. But then it has worn off to a very distinct mugworts smell, which I personally really like because it gives me childhood memories from some sunny day in a field full of wild herbs. If you're looking for something like that, specifically mugworts - give it a try.

i actually love this so much. it kind of at first smells like a doctor or dentists office or something along those lines? like metal. it also kind of reminded me of formaldehyde. the floral notes r really nice. i really like it & i probably will end up buying the full bottle when i get the chance 🫶🏻

To me, this is like some sort of an Amouage Opus X, but, without the rose. It is as powerful as the Amouage. Actually, for the first few hours is a huge beast in projection. Opus X has a better longevity. Both of them are in the same category: the best from the future`s niche world.

Lovely perfume, the carnation flowers comes though very pleasantly and a little sharp metallic note blends in with it. Whoever likes flower based perfumes will enjoy this and whoever says it’s smells like blood please go a smell blood first you say that!

This one is fantastic. It’s a bit too much for me, despite me loving heavy and rich scents. Very, very powdery and super unique. If I would have to describe it, imagine an old lady’s closet filled with heavy pelt coats. Super interesting.

Tested it for a few days. I do not get any blood somehow. My cousin says the opening is like a smokey floral, but I find it smells exactly like a dusty church basement. I’m obsessed. I wore it to christmas mass for the full experience.

The only way I can describe this fragrance is that it smells like an abandoned funeral home. Chemicals and rotting flowers. There's a strong note reminiscent of mothballs. It's definitely not for everyone, but I absolutely adore it.

Notes are completely wrong comparing to official website, but the "notes" listed here actually give off the smell of the fragrance! Its animalic, metallic and floral. Very rugged and sharp. Its not as bad as people say.

I really like this fragrance. It smells like animal fur and citrus, with some pine notes. Very different from what many people seem to get from this fragrance. Definitely wearable, very musky.

finally bought today. the best perfume of all time. I have nothing else to add. read my previous review and you will understand. 11/10

Smells like wood and medicine very unique scent

Filippo Sorcinelli tells us that this fragrance is inspired by Ridley Scott's film, Hannibal (2001), wanting to honor the love between Hannibal Lecter and Clarice Starling. For those who don't know or remember the movie plot, Hannibal is a psychopathic killer who enjoys mutilating and dismembering his victims, often performing surgeries to remove organs, which he then cooks and serves as a meal to others, who are unaware that they are eating human remains. I don't know in what way the creator hints at love in this fragrance, but what I smell is the preparation of Hannibal's victims for cooking. Of course, cooking is also an expression of love! A whimsical and shocking opening, which immediately spreads throughout the space and has a feeling as if the air brings from a distance the smell of raw meat and feces, with a mix of herbs together. Yes, you read it right, row meat and feces, I'm not exaggerating at all! This suspicion of feces slowly subsides and what remains is a combination of Nuit de Bakelite by Naomi Goodsir with Fougere L'Aube by Rogue Perfumery. Metallic, herbal, with dried flowers and a base of musk with hints of incense. Would I wear it? -I can't decide. Did I like it? -A lot!

One of FS best. One of my first animalics and one of my favorite interpretations of floral. This one is smoky, with a bouquet of metallic and earthy flowers. Deep down there is a core of dirty rotting flowers and animal habitat. The florals are more green earthy than bright and powdery. If you like dirty flowers you will probably enjoy this. I get the blood comparison, its got an iron smell. It has some leather note in there that reminds me of Bianchi's Black Knight. If you read Fragrantica reviews of this you will often read it has "rotting meat" or corpse notes (or read claims that it is downright terrifying, from especially performative reviewers), I think this is the rusty metal notes, it smells like oxidised rusty metal. When I made the mistake of wearing it in hot hot summer I did understand why people would describe this as scary, hot rust and animalic notes in hot weather is not enjoyable. One spray is enough. As with many FS perfumes, this is shamelessly potent. Wearable, withmassive potential when it comes to layering. Do not make my mistake and wear it when it is 28c out.

But meanwhile there is some white flowers beauty & this conflict make it special for anyone who prefers smelling unexpected to just pretty. This concept is really match to The Silence of the Lambs movie characters’ complexity. The innocence of Clarice & Dr. Lecter exotic character. Everything is ready to give you the vibe. . The opening is too much spicy. A little later you get a very prominent note of white flowers. An amazing indolic Jasmine beside lily & the spiciness of carnation. Gradually, you feel subtle metallic/bloody smell on your skin however the animlic/musky undertone is the strongest accord which reminds me of old school & classic leathery perfumes. Another sublime fragrance by sorcinelli. My first choice in Unum line. What a lovely color! Horrible & Sexy.

What a find! Lovers of “dark smells” - rejoice. This one is for you. Starts of as “attractive”: masculine flowers with a tangy note of something animalistic. Like a handsome, slightly cold, mysterious gentlemen. “I wonder what he is all about..?”, you think to yourself and try to step a little closer, catch his attention. The perfume then slowly starts to reveal its darkness. Dirt and evil. Smells like a horror movie dungeon master? Like a drunken stupor on the morning after, when you are disgusted by what happened yesterday and yet do not mind to repeat everything again. If I was going for a movie analogy, I think I’d chose “Hostel” rather than “Hannibal”: this is a tad too cold and industrial to be Hannibal. I’d expect more understated suave from that man. I feel leather, carnation - it’s green stem - metal and musk. Do not agree with comments about this being “unwearable”, but boy does it need a special mood and person to pull this off. Would absolutely wear this to some sort of BDSM party. Unfortunately, do not have one planned today...

A funeral that's been left out a little too long (days, possibly weeks) - the flowers and the corpse are both beginning to decompose. Is it 'old'? Yes, but not in the way you think. Is it revolting? Yes, but not in the way you think. It's sadistic and dread-inducing. It's upsetting. It's alluringly revolting. It's brilliant. This fragrance perfectly encapsulates everything nice perfumery should aspire to accomplish - not create a 'crowd pleaser', but to evoke a scene, and/or invoke an emotional reaction. This does so flawlessly. It's absolutely the scent of a coy serial killer, or a manipulative, sadistic deviant. I couldn't imagine wearing this in any professional, formal, or everyday setting - to do so would be obtuse. But then again, I guess that would fall in line with exactly the behavior expected of the type of person this fragrance is trying to emulate, so... go for it! I doubt I ever will, but I commend whoever has the nuts to actually wear this out.

I bought a tester of this after discovering it, a perfume inspired by my favourite film, Silence of the Lambs, and my favourite character, Clarice Starling? I could not get it out of my head and HAD to know what it smelt like. I didn’t know what to think, having read reviews saying it smelt like blood and meat and was unwearable. I don’t agree with that at all, but that’s just my opinion. The first thing that gets me is an overwhelmingly pine scent. Fresh, herbal, spicy. Very green and vegetative. And strong as well. Don’t spray too much, a little is quite potent. The dry down is much more feminine than the opening. A softer, woody, warm almost powdery scent. This is definitely more of a masculine leaning fragrance than feminine, but the dry down does make me wonder. But is not unpleasant or unwearable by any stretch of the imagination.

The transition that this perfume takes within SECONDS needs to be thoroughly studied! I haven't smelt every niche fragrance on the market, but to me it's groundbreaking. It's literally art in a bottle. You start off with a strong, almost distasteful and sour medical smell, like you're in a hospital or asylum. I can get where the dentist and rubber gloves are coming from for sure. Then it becomes this animalic, almost dried floral, musky stench for the rest of the wear. It reminds me of vintage stores or estate sales with old ladies' clothes, leather shoes and perfumes. Everything I've typed out is complimentary. I'm oddly addicted to this taboo of a scent and if it was socially acceptable to wear and suits my style, I would buy a full bottle. I can't wait to wear the remainer of my vial to a rewatch of Poor Things at the movies soon!

This is an exercise in "I could so I did". See this as perfume as storytelling, an experience, rather than as anything even remotely wearable. It gave me goosebumps, and a sheer sense of panic that made my scrotum turn inverted. It was broad daylight in a cosy little niche perfume shop, and I was suddenly rooted in position and scared to turn around. It felt like if I did turn around, I was about to see somebody being actually physically dismembered by the sweet 4 foot tall sales assistant. It is metallic but not like Reliqvia, this is an uncomfortably clean, pristine, sterile stainless steel that would glint in your eyes and cause you to wince. Over that steel, litres and litres of fresh, still-warm blood. And that's But Not Today. 10/10 for the drama of it all

Reviewing a decant from 2025. But not Today was launched in 2018. This is an unusual fragrance, both fresh and animalic. This opens with a strong metallic note then a fresh but bitter herbal citrus burst followed by animalic musk. A touch of muted florals .Resinous moss and amber in the spicy dry down. A bit leathery but not warm. Allowing for the "Hannibal" marketing, I can see why some people find this sinister and bloody. It is not however as dark or heavy as you would imagine. Quality- excellent 5/5 Unisex - leans masculine Performance - very good 4.5/5 But not Today is a bipolar creation starting off as a fresh chypre and ending up spicy and leathery. Is it beautiful? Yes. Is it wearable? Maybe. Certainly you won't smell like anyone else. 8/10

I love this, but purely—for me—for personal use; although, that’s really all I’m ever looking for from a fragrance and compliments are just a bonus for me. This is gourmand like you’ve never smelled before; a savoury gourmand, herby, with incense in the background. This scent conjures a lot, but that /lot/ changes frequently, so frequently that I can’t pin point what the story here is. It’s refined, but chaotic at the same time, and I’m finding this a lot with Sorcinelli and I suppose that’s real art, aye? This fragrance is beautiful and disgusting, I love it but I don’t want to own it. Totally different to anything else he’s made and totally different to anything I’ve smelled. Bizarre, addictive, but not for me...today at least.

So this one is weird. I'm a big horror nerd so I got into disturbing perfumes and this one kept getting brought up. So I caved and finally got it. It dose have that undertone of elegance with the white floral scents, but there is an undeniable rot and iron smell. This scent gives the vibes of rich women killed in her flat and found a couple days later. Also urine/ puke/ bodily fluids? It has this really weird other bodily smell I cant really put my finger on that is just upsetting. When dry its more white floral but again undertones of a rot I cant put my finger on. This is for sure a collectors scent not for going out in unless you like that Dr. Hannibal Lector vibe.

Red sugary amber and resin, touch of musk. I cant look at the notes. This comes to me as a smooth red floral - nose to skin I can pick some notes (Angelica is the easiest) but its just so well blended im dazzled but I guess thats the genius of Scorcinelli. There is definitely a not too distant resemblance to a fresh cut piece of raw steak however if you hadnt mentioned the back story you wouldnt think of it. Having been around dead decayed bodies (dont ask) I can actually see what Scorcinelli came from however Fzotics Corpse Reviver is an even closer in your face joke resembling a cadaver yet some think its Black Forest cake 🙄😂. Nice scent but not my standout Unum.

I like this a lot, but it’s not a love. I’m a big fan of chypre fragrances and that’s what this is at its heart - a woody chypre with a hint of animalic and metallic notes. I don’t find it unsettling at all, but it’s a unique blend that smells equally familiar and strange. There’s something in here that reminds me of my in-law’s house and my grandmother. My skin eats fragrance, so for me this only lasts about three hours. Wishing for more depth here, so I’m going to let my decant marinate for a month and I will try again. If that fails to deepen the scent I’ll experiment layering with an indolic jasmine or maybe an aromatic herbal.

This is the first fragrance that brought me hate comments and "anti-compliments." My mother and my girlfriend told me, the moment I sprayed it, to never wear it around them. A few friends, when testing my collection, all had the same reaction: disgust. However, I like it so much, and I feel powerful wearing it. To me, it smells like witnessing a murder next to a small rural Italian church surrounded by pine trees on a cold night. (I have a memory of this exact resinous smell from a few years ago in Italy.) It is so strong , one spray fills the whole house and on skin I can still smell it after more than 30hours

Starts as a celery salad with a ketone dressing sprinkled with concrete dust. As the celery fades, the concrete becomes more prominent, but it is no longer dusty concrete, but wet after a summer cloud burst. The carnation adds some spicy/peppery nuances to the celery note. If I close my eyes I am transported to a commercial kitchen in the basement of a government building. I also get the drive through car wash vibe. I don't find this super complex. Three main notes: celery, carnation, and concrete with some background noise. Wearable and intriguing, but I don't think it meshes well with the marketing.

this wasn't super crazy to me. even knowing this was going for a bloody hannibal vibe, at no point was this particularly repulsive or horrific. would i wear this? no. but is it unwearable? no. it's neither unpleasant or nor pleasant. unique, but not grotesque or fantastical or cinematic for me. this didnt register as super metallic or animalic because it reminded me a lot of panorama by olfactive studio which doesnt have anything in common with this in terms of notes or concept. i dont really have any words to describe this, but it is hard to forget.
