Nebbia Densa

A drop of water on a big bamboo plant (?) in a pot early in the morning, in the cold, after the dew. Your great love passes by and carries today a superb vetiver. Absolute silence, but the happiness of all these pleasures of nature, invading one by one all your pleasantly oriented receptors. Back inside, through the bay window. Water on the fire, the sound of the kettle; a quiet house, a light stone floor, some almonds plucked on the fly from the cabinet door, a tea. The boots dry. A cloud passes. You smile. Sorcinelli makes me very angry with some smells, and fills some of my days with great joy with others. You now know which side Nebbia Densa is on. My +1 thinks he smells a lot like green bell pepper, D.S.& Durga's Bistro Waters. In the odorama world I have in my dreams, we would smell it with this Celan poem: count what was bitter and kept you awake, count me among them: I searched for your eye, when you opened it and no one looked at you, I spun that secret thread, along which the dew you thought slid down to the jars, watched over by a saying that found its way to no one’s heart. Only there did you wholly enter the name that is yours, did you step sure-footed toward yourself, did the hammers swing free in the belfry of your silence, the overheard reach you, the dead put its arm around you too, and all three of you walked through the evening. Make me bitter. Count me among the almonds.

Aaaaaaah this so inexplicable and fantastic, my man Filippo is not messing around. Green, wet, mysterious and spicy. It’s like a rainy day in a marsh land. Firstly I picked up a dewy green rhubarb note (idk). Then it became very spicy, similar to Penguin by Zoologist, but more damp and sophisticated. I’m guessing it’s because of the sandal wood. To me, the vibe of wearing Densa resembles the picturesque experience of Shrek seducing you in his swamp. Amazing 10/10 (Honestly trying anything from the Atmosphere d'Emotion collection feels like encountering an alien.)

In the car, boyfriend is driving. “What’s that smell? Is it coming through the vents? It smells like diesel and rotting vegetables.” “What do you mean? I don’t smell anything like that.” “it’s you. Oh my God it’s you. You usually smell so good. What is that? What perfume is that? “ Me: Whaaaat?! I love Nebbia Densa, but clearly this is one of those love or hate perfumes. It IS unique, but try before you buy. I smell tomato leaves, wet earth, vetiver, damp moss and incense. It’s gorgeous, but wear it to please yourself, or not at all.

Absolutely stunning. I totally get why this is polarizing, I believe that truly remarkable fragrances never sit in the safe "in-between" ground to please everyone. If you want to smell distinct, memorable, and unapologetically true to your own personality, this is the one. Fantastic stuff.

Wet moss, lichens, forest, thick fog - all of this creates its own unique comfort and magic - and they are enclosed in this bottle.

Thoughts on a sampling... * It is very green, very dry and very spicy. * It is like equal parts of (fresh green) Palo Santo, Oakmoss and Vetiver all at the same time. * All three powerfully elbowing each other to see who comes out on top. * It all combines to become a green herbal scent. * I do not understand how the name "Dense Fog" (translated) has anything to do with the scent. * However I do find myself consistently plowing my nose thru my wrist area. * It is similar to Complex by Boadicea the Victorious, Metaphore WJ by Calaj minus the sweetness and Yatagan by Caron. * Someone mentioned crushed Tomato leaves and I must agree. * The perfumer is a true artist in all of the senses. He is an established musician (organist), a multimedia artist and an olfactory artist. * This brand has some of the best packaging out there. And this collection is not left behind. The cap is concealed by a cloud tuft representing fog and the liquid perfume mimics the same as you gently shake the bottle it gets cloudy, sort of like shaking one of those Christmas or tourist liquid filled glitter globes but better. * As silage goes it does pack a wallop along with long lasting longevity. * Probably best worn in spring and autumn days however I am curious to see how it does in winter. * It can be a fun casual wear to break up the monotony. ** Final thoughts. I am trying all 3 of the Nebbia (Fog) collection. Thou the name does not fit two of the three. They do however make separate statements for themselves. This one is HERBAL. I do plan to order a full bottle of at least one from the collection. *** Final verdict. I settled on Nebbia Spessa to by my favorite of the trio.

I must have gotten a weak batch. I get a dense earthy aroma without an assault on my senses. Nothing industrial about it. The more I wear it the more I find myself sniffing my wrist. Not office safe and not likely to have people jostling to get close to you either. Not sure whether I like it or not but it has me intrigued. I’ve tested about 8 different Fillipo Sorcinelli fragrances and this is quite a departure from the other ones I have tried.

Nebbia Densa is the smell of a fallen branch on wet moss growing on waterlogged soil at dusk. I think this sentence perfectly describes this scent. If you want to be closer to the wet swamps and feel like a salamander, this scent can be just for you. 7/10 Today i was at Massimo Dutti store and there was one scent very simmilar to this one.

I'm not sure about wearable, but this one is definitely interesting. I'd go as far to say that 'but not today' is more wearable than this one. If you've ever played Silent Hill this is what the town would smell like. Cold, foggy and unwelcoming. I love you Filippo Sorcinelli!!! Please never grow your hair out!!!

Wow it is truly scent of a rainy day during spring/early summer. It has that wet earthiness and wood.

Don’t even dare. Green as in red bell pepper green. Watery, diluted sap. Motor oil wrapped in celery. Headache. Incredible longevity (probably the only positive thing). Totally disgusting. Do as you please, but you’ll regret it.

The same nauseatingly powerful rhubarb/green pepper assault as Nudiflorum by Nasomatto. And, just like Nudiflorum, the longevity and projection is unlike anything I've ever experienced. Maybe it's because I'm so turned away by it, but this stuff STICKS. I love Sorcinelli and his passion for his art, but this one is a hard no for me.

The line between strong and far too strong suddenly becomes clear as this fragrance passes it a few times. Cacophonic, a mess. It dries down really well, but the opening lasts almost the entire ride. Does that make it worth it? No. The bottle is rather cool, though.

it opens and it's super green and cold and rainy but as it develops it turns slightly more sour until it reaches the 2 hour mark and it loses all of its complexity into pure wet green bell peppers. seriously. freshly chopped green bell peppers and nothing else.

The bottle is stunning, a piece of art on its own. And while the perfume it houses has its undisputed artistic qualities, it's a strong no from me. The vetiver in this is very very dry and earthy to the point it's astringent and medicinal. And I can't stand it.

that's smh between swamp, weed and solid rubber idk smell is kinda annoying, headache-inducer, i didn't like it at all i wonder if the new 2025 formula of this still the same or nah

Nutty Sandalwood and bitter Vetiver are fighting each other in this fog. After the fog lifts the dew is the only one that remains.

Rotting vegetables and gasoline in a mildewy basement. Total scrubber on me. Hard to get off. The shimmer is pretty though. If anyone wants to swap samples (after that review lol) let me know. Weirdly, Demeter’s Thunderstorm is a less offensive, albeit less impressive, offering.

Really not good at all, strong burning rubber scent definitely more of an "experience" than a wear fragrance. SAMPLE. BEFORE. YOU. BUY!!!!

This perfume smells like a car repair shop.

COOL BOTTLE ALERT!!! COOL BOTTLE ALERT!!! FOR WOMEN: There's finally a vetiver for the stiletto crowd to try and it's called Nebbia. Why do I say such a thing? This is a delicate airy constructed fragrance expertly thinned to aggrandize your aura. There's just enough vetiver in place to be taken seriously and just enough of that earthy wood to manipulate the properties of sandalwood. This is a fragrance that knows what it is: Silent Swooner. It's too good to be dew and just might be perfect for you. This was made for cushioned skin and primaveral outings. FOR MEN: This is a tough one to recommend. From an artistic standpoint, this is pretty cool and true to its intent in mirroring real life dense fog. The problem with imitating life with art is that people might not care about the craftsmanship. Most people are interested in one thing and one thing only: Does it smell great? And the truth of the matter is...it's ok. A shoulder shrugger. This lasts 1 hour on my skin...but I can't get mad at the results. It's faux fog after all. Again, if you lower expectation and appreciate the artistic side, you could very well enjoy what i call fine art. Beware: This is a scent that no one will likely be able to smell unless you apply heavy. FOR BLIND BUYERS: Don't overshoot your shot thinking you're buying some sort of Encre Noir hybrid just because you see vetiver. This is a white shirt flip flop fragrance.

Densa is definitely unique in its own way. Definitely not for me, but here it is how it develops on my skin after application (sampling it today 22 Aug 2020). In some of the previous reviews someone mentioned diesel and rotten vegetables, tomato leaves. Well I do agree with that statement in a way. On my skin the first first few seconds (only for a few seconds, though) it does really smell like burned fumes of petrol (in a gentle way of course), next I got a very realistic impression of a place after rain, like the smell of the first drops of rain falling on a hot dusty veranda marbels, really impressive to capture such a smell, then everything else finish/dry down exactly like if someone is crushing fresh tomato leaves in hand, or has just picked up some fresh tomatos from their branches. Honestly, really impressive, but no I wouldn't like to smell like that. Possibly, this will be very good on someone who loves wearing challenging fragrances, just to be different from everything else. p.s. Just to mention that this has an amazing standing power on my skin, in fact it stayed all day long, it is already very late evening and I still am having wafts around me.

A LEATHER PERFUME FOR YOUR SUMMER! An extension of a fallen branch amidst damp moss, furrowed by our uncertain steps among the trees that move the cathedral of mystery, without a horizon. The measure of things is absent, the breath of everyday life is absent, in the dark vegetation frozen by the tenuous clouds that reshape the forms with a damp pride. (brand note) A perfume that smells of oxygenation, swamp fog, and a leather jacket fallen among mossy tree branches. They threw the leather jacket among mossy tree branches and it fell into the swamp with lots of fog and dew. This reminded me of Cuoium Orto Parisi, only less dirty. Holy crap! This is a leather perfume for summer, I'm going to buy it for myself hahaha. The palo santo is insane in the dry down, damn!!

This is an abstract scent. I mean, not really - it smells like kale, celery and spinach juice - but its odd when thinking about what people like to or want to smell like. I don't think this particular fragrance is what many would call signature worthy, yet it has charm. Beyond that it's great for layering with My Burberry Black, of all fragrances. I was wearing that and put on a bit of the sample I've held onto for several years; I initially thought that Densa was way more beautiful than I remembered... then I realised I was smelling Densa with an Francis Kurkdjian amber/rose base. I think this might layer well with other fragrances you might want to make a little spicy or a tad aquatic (but not in the designer type way). It's interesting

I got this in the official test kit. The aquatic note is far too prominent for me. There might be a beautiful scent somewhere underneath but you can't get to it because it has been heavily layered with a cheap aquatic. Go grab one of the cheap and well done "sport" frags if you want to smell like this. Not worth the money in my opinion.

Due to its strong similarity to Complex by Boadicea the victorious leaves a bitter taste in the mouth and an empty pocket. One gets the impression that the "master" Sorcinelli sold the fog by packing diluted Complex in his packaging.

Green and damp- mysterious and true to it's name. The next day dry down leaves an incredibly rotted and sour effect, which might not work for some but I love it, very freaky! Rot moss for the misty hermits.

This smells like marijuana to me. It’s a good enough scent. I like it, but I’m going to be careful where I wear it. I am not a pot-smoker, so I don’t want to startle my family...
