now that i've gotten around to sampling it: this, i think, is sorcinelli's magnum opus. the opening notes are very reminiscent of childhood trips to a local furniture store housed in a beautiful old mid-1800s barn: herbs, fruits, patchouli, and bright wonderfully realistic aged wood. the drydown is smooth, almost lotion-y, softening quite a lot from the opening. the jasmine here stands out more to my nose, with the sweeter notes providing a warm, soft backdrop. this is, of course, underselling it- as far as i'm concerned nothing i can say can really do this scent justice, it's something you have to experience for yourself. there's nothing challenging or avant-garde about this scent, it's incredibly warm and welcoming and, i think, appropriate for most situations and all gender presentations! i am told that if you are not in rome you can order a full bottle through containerzerozero via email, however they only accept direct wire. needless to say i will be doing so!

Got a sample of this because of how loved it is in the reviews. WOW! The best orange fragrance I've ever tried. This smells expensive, like a multi-millionaire on their day off.

Musc Ravageur without the spice bomb. The two of them dry down to an almost perfect venn diagram.

Purchased a sample of this from Gallery by Flo. Absolutely in love with this scent. There is no part from the opening to the final dry down that I don't like. Every stage is exceptional. It's not a super complex scent, but rather an olfactive masterpiece. I went ahead and purchased a bottle from the store (direct communication with the store and a wire transfer), and it's currently in transit from Italy. June 9, 2026 update: Received the bottle in the mail today. And when I say bottle I mean the full presentation, phenomenal box, and unparalleled bottle design. For me, the bottle design is an important factor in my purchase. Also love that it's a year round perfume. It's simply beautiful, and a majestic part of my fragrance journey. My #1 favorite fragrance of all time... Thank you, Filippo Sorcinelli!
