Desert Spirit

Actually in love. Never tried Mojave Ghost (waaaaaay out my price range) but why even try it when this is $30 and amazing? It’s gentle but noticeable and doesn’t give me a headache like most perfumes. Violet is a favorite smell of mine but it’s usually paired with sweet smells like vanilla (which I can’t stand) and paired with pear and mahogany gives it balance. This is literally what I’ve been looking for. Fresh and floral with hints of woodsy notes to prevent it from being too sweet or cloying.

As a Mojave Ghost enjoyer I can’t lie this is really good. As soon as I tried it at Target, I instantly bought it. 95% similarity i’d say the pear note in this is a tad bit sweeter than the original but it still has that beautiful musky clean smell mojave ghost has to offer. Really solid dupe for $30 and for me this lasts a really long time on skin and forever on clothes.

New obsession! I’ve struggled to find a good musky perfume that doesn’t turn musty once it hits my skin (Missing person, another 13), and thankfully this one’s a pleasant exception. I might actually enjoy this more than Mojave Ghost. A little heavier on the violet note but in a good way - very good dupe. Better longevity than the original too.

Paired with Phlur Father Figure. Perfection. Gives the androgynous vibes from Phlur a very delicate and lovely feminine touch that I just adore. Longevity is amazing for a $32 perfume.

I’m a sucker for anything with pear, anything with violet, and anything woody. This happens to have all 3. Such an easy reach nearly everyday. I don’t even have to think about it.

By far the best dupe Finery has given us. This is almost identical to Mojave Ghost and lasts longer. This is such a great spring/summer scent. Dry and clean.

Im a gourmand girl through and through but if I was reaching for a floral- This. SOO good.

I was lucky enough to be one of the ones that Fine'ry sent a bottle of this to before it hit the shelves at Target. That in no way means that I would give this a positive review if it wasn't good. It really is good! Mojave Ghost is one of my top 5 favorite scents but it's expensive so I don't currently own it. But now that I have this I don't really feel like I need to own it because this smells so similar! This is now the second one that Finery has made that I don't feel like I need the original of because they're so similar. The other one is Without A Trace aka Phlur Missing Person. This lasts a long time on clothes too. I sprayed it on after my shower one night and my couch throw smelled like it still the next night.

This is everything I want Mojave Ghost to be! I love the Mojave Ghost scent profile but it does not love me (I think its the sapodilla). The original smells like gasoline as soon as it hits my skin and the Absolu smells very strong (but better than the OG on my skin). Desert Spirt is the same DNA but much more smooth, succulent, and a beautiful. It can be dressed up or dressed down. After comparing it side by side to the og and absolu version, my husband and I both agree that this DNA is the best out of the three! Better longevity and very easy to wear. Also $30 compared to $230...can't go wrong.

This was a last-minute grab for me and I am pleasantly surprised. On first spray I noticed a soft fruity sweetness that seemed to linger on my clothes. However, on my skin it was more like delicate violet petal powdery-ness. Not heavy or vintage in any way but airy clean and soft. This doesn't demand attention it creates a gentle and effortless feminine feeling, for me. I think the cedarwood is keeping the balance and preventing the sweetness from becoming too much. I feel like I will reach for this on warm spring days and summer evenings.

Normally I go for gourmands and deep, spicy/woody scents, but it's been hot where I live and I was in need of something fresh and clean--and this fits the bill. I like to spray this on the back of my neck and then spray my clothes with BBW Open Sky body spray--I find that the two are quite complimentary. Once the weather gets cool I'll probably put it in the back of my collection, but for now, I'm really enjoying this! It makes me think of driving on a country road with the windows down, breathing in the fresh air.

pleasantly surprised because i don't tend to like pear-forward scents and typically violet smells rather armpit-y on me. but this is very light while lasting for several hours. only thing i'll say is that i was expecting it to unfold or evolve over time and it didn't. it pretty much smells the same all the way through. also i picked up on a note that smelled almost like plaintain? like an unripe banana skin smell? didn't expect that but i still enjoy the scent.

Smells nice, i got it as a Spring-Summer scent, its not the best, it’s definitely good if you’re on a budget but if you have money to spend, I’d recommend looking elsewhere. The violet is really strong compared to the other notes, like WAY strong, its good if you like violet but i wouldn’t really recommend it if you were looking for a cedar wood or white pear scent. Overall rating: 7.5/10

I've yet to smell Mojave Ghost, but Desert Spirit smells great as a stand-alone, fresh yet sweet fragrance IMO. It's also VERY similar to Sand + Fog's Mojave Ghost dupe, Violet Sandalwood, albeit more complex and not as linear. I find Fine'ry's latest release of fragrances to be stronger and longer lasting than their previous releases.

This is so clean girl. With a slightly woody Iris dry down, fresh out of the shower with expensive face lotion.. while an inspiration of Mojave Ghost I can see it. The scent profile is the same and this last longer. Is it exact? No. It’s it beautiful and someone think you smell great? Absolutely!

Very light, wish it was a little stronger because I love the scent.

This is a very soft, subtle scent. It is reminiscent of Mojave Ghost, not quite a dupe but gives a similar vibe. It’s light and airy, with a gentle woodiness. The pear and violet give it a gentle, slightly sweet freshness, while the cedarwood adds a smooth, dry woodiness. There’s a soft musky base that ties everything together, creating a clean, understated scent. It does lean a bit powdery, but not in an overwhelming or vintage way, more of a sheer, airy powder. This feels best suited for casual daytime wear, especially in spring and summer, or for moments when you want something light. Unfortunately, the performance is where it falls short. Projection is very minimal, and the longevity is quite poor. It fades quickly and sits extremely close to the skin. While I do enjoy the scent itself, it ultimately didn’t quite hit the mark for me. 4/10 Sillage 5/10 Longevity 4/10

Usually when people say a fragrance smells like what a Grandma would smell like I end up liking those. But this to me screams grandma scent even though it's not totally yuck to me it's just meh it doesn't wow me.

I wore this a few times a week, for about a month, and I loved it. One day after reapplying, the scent became a little nauseating...and then extremely nauseating! So bad that I had to shower it off as quickly as possible. For reference, the scent was exactly as it smelled when I loved it the weeks earlier. Idk what the heck happened but my body completely rejects it now. I can’t even think about it without feeling icky. I once saw CammyReviews talk about Mojave Ghost, and said the combination of a little fruitiness, a little sweet muskiness, and violet, smelled “sickly” to her. I never smelled MG, but if Desert Spirit is an accurate dupe, then I have to agree with her. Sickly!🤢

To me this is much greener than Mojave Ghost. It's like desert flowers and stems rather than just the flowers in Mojave Ghost. Tried this on at Target and had to scrub it off when I got home.

I got this because it’s a supposed dupe for Mojave Ghost. I haven’t smelled MG in a while but the absolu was on my want list from when I did smell it. The Fine’ry Desert Spirit is nice though. It’s light, airy, a little juicy, a little foral. It gives clean girl vibes, and quite feminine. However it reminds me of the Kristin Ess hair care line. I don’t mind that, but I wasn’t expecting that!
