Magnetic Candy

When I first spray this, the pomelo is overwhelming! It’s very rind-y, tangy, and tart, but it is lovely! Upon first spray, the violet and cotton candy aren’t yet totally perceptible, but they do hang out in the background and mix with the pomelo to create a slightly sweet, super fresh, soapy, laundry like scent. However, as the perfume wears and settles, the pomelo starts to dissipate and the violet and cotton candy really shine! About 1 hour into wear, it becomes the most beautiful light citrus and cotton candy scent balanced with a fresh violet note. It’s not as soapy after about an hour of wear which I really enjoy, but it does still have a fresh, slightly laundry-like quality to it, like freshly laundered linens and less like a bottle of detergent maybe. That being said, I enjoy it both at application and after wearing it for a few hours :) The longevity is decent with it wearing for about 4 hours on me before becoming a skin scent. Also, the scent bubble this creates when you first spray it is massive! I spray it very sparingly (3 sprays) and further away from my skin so that it’s slightly more subtle on me. Also, in the ‘This perfume reminds me of’ section above, Body Fantasies Cotton Candy is listed as a perfume that Magnetic Candy reminds people of — I think Magnetic Candy is the sophisticated, grown up, classy aunt of Body Fantasies Cotton Candy! I have both and can say that they are very different, enough so that I personally wouldn’t substitute one for the other. Cotton Candy is overly sweet and has a candied raspberry/grape note, and it’s over all very very sugary. Magnetic Candy does have a similar cotton candy note upon dry down, but it’s not sugary or overly sweet! It’s a very subtle, fresh sweetness. I love both but definitely wear them for different occasions :)

Oh, i love this. Went into Target on a whim and came out with a new love. This is like a slightly grown up version of the cotton candy body spray so many girls had back in the early 2000s. That's not an insult at all; I honestly have always loved that smell. If you're not into super sweet, this isn't for you. And it lasts so long!!! 6 hours later I could still smell it on me. Its cotton candy with just the slightest hint of citrus. It is NOT like pink sugar. They are two completely different DNAs when it comes to cotton candy. They have testers out in Target and I highly recommend trying it out. If you were a cotton candy girlie back in middle school such as myself, this is a ling lasting splash of nostalgia.

I bought the Magnetic Candy mist today and can confirm that this is absolutely a dupe for Byredo Sundaze. I own a decant of Sundaze and can confidently say that Magnetic Candy smells basically exactly the same. I actually prefer Magnetic Candy because it pulls less soapy on my skin than Sundaze does. I've also seen reviews where people have said this smells like Love Don't Be Shy, Oriana, and Prada Candy. I own all of those, Magnetic Candy does not smell at all similar, aside from the fact that it's sweet. I do think if you like Love Don't Be Shy and Oriana, you'd probably like Magnetic Candy/Sundaze. They're in a similar wheelhouse. But, they do not smell similar at all to my nose.

a while ago, someone was sitting next to me on the bus and smelled amazing and i asked what her perfume was and she told me it was this. i suddenly remembered the name recently and went to my local target to buy a bottle and i think itll be a great scent now that summer is really starting up where i live EDIT: in regards to the edp...YUM!!! SUMMER HAPPINESS IN A BOTTLE! something in there smells a little fake and plastic but in the way that i like 😋 yummy tart citrus blast opening and even better sweet dry down and i like that its not too complex! smells great on skin & fabric, love using this as a linen scent, longevity is so unexpectedly good too! Survived a sweaty work shift!

I absolutely love this! its a good fresher take on cotton candy. based on the reviews, I would def say try before you buy. the good news is they have testers at target :) the cotton candy and grapefruit are dominant to my nose and they are LOVELY. the sugared violet is def there, but I hate violet and it doesn't offend me. I would say it's there to make the cotton candy note a little more complex. a lot of people are saying this smells like sundazed by byredo. ive never personally smelled it, but the notes are def similar! sillage is also awesome for the price. definitely get the perfume tho. in my experience finery body mists last about 5 minutes and aren't even worth $15.

This is another one that I really like! Its very, very sweet with a citrus beginning that turns almost sugary like sour candy. I know there have been rumors that it smells like Sundazed by Byredo, but I’ve never smelled that so I can’t confirm. I can confirm that I don’t find it similar to Prada Candy at all. This reminds me more of Pink Sugar but better, with a light sugared violet body, and a beginning that’s kind of similar to Oriana. You’ve got to really enjoy sweet perfumes to like this one. I could see some folks thinking this is a little cloying, but I actually really like it! Does not smell synthetic at all - it’s one of my favorites from the line!!

Wow, Magnetic Candy knocks my socks off! It's sweet, playful, darling, carefree, has great longevity and smells just like Byredo Sundazed -- which I love but haven't bought because it's so expensive -- but for a fraction of the price. I need to do a side-by-side of the two because I haven't actually done that yet, but I'm expecting it will be super-close. Apparently, Magnetic Candy is very popular because the next day after I tested it at Target, I went back to buy a bottle and there were none left! Needless to say, I will be going back to snag one. If you love sweet, candy-like fragrances, or Sundazed, you will probably LOVE it!

If you like Donna Born in Roma you will like this as well...it’s the pedestrian eternal teenager version of dbr that you will hate to love. I have not had the weird chemistry with this as people have reported, though I usually only spray perfume on my clothes when fully dressed. (I understand though, anything with white flowers does that to me, which is why this is a personal practice of mine.) sprayed it around lunchtime yesterday and can still smell this the next morning, so it lasts forever. Gorgeous and sunny, it’s along the same happy lines as sdj cheriosa 59, where you just smell yummy and happy all day.

Such a darling, yummy fragrance. I am not typically one for sugary sweet fragrances, but this one is so special!!!! Like biting into a sugar coated pomelo or sweating on the boardwalk in pink flip flops. Bright, playful, and genuinely cheers me up when I smell it! The pomelo stands out the most for me, but the dry down definitely leans into the cotton candy and violets. Decent longevity, I can smell it on my clothes the next day. Pair this with Pacifica's French Lilac (if you can find it) and smell like a golden hazy memory of early summer. An addendum: So far this is the best Fine'ry scent I've smelled.

I love this fragrance! It is like carrying cotton candy from a the Santa Monica CA boardwalk onto the sand on a sunny day at the beach. There is a definite solar note to it and a cotton candy that is tempered by the solar and citrus. It evolves on my skin to my nose. I warm it up quite a bit. It projects nicely in the summer heat and sometimes I like to layer it with my other neroli fragrances to give it a floral boost. Easy and inexpensive wear! And if you want to turn up the Byredo add a little Blanco from House of Twist (dupe for Blanche).

I bought Sundazed because it sounds like the perfect frag for me (on paper) but it was a lemon-pine-sol bomb for me. Soooo when people said this was a dupe I tried it. And I LOVE it. The candy and grapefruit are sweet and tangy and young and fun - and the violet makes the drydown soft and fluffy. I even bought the body mist (which I never do) so that I can layer this with other summery scents and give them a little 'zing' from the pomelo here. 10/10 and at such a good price ($28USD for 2oz perfume, $13USD for 4oz body mist)

As a teenager the hyped up perfume was Clinique Happy and it was my first perfume experience. I stumbled upon this while looking for another dupe for Missing Person while at Target. I couldn’t get it off my mind. I went back the next day and purchased the EDP. To me this is the sugared citrus candy kid sister to Happy, they don’t share a scent profile other than the citrus but after I put on Magnetic Candy I thought of Happy. I love them both and they both invoke a sense of joy and energy boast to go through the day.

Used it for the first time this morning and i can still smell it on my clothes 8 hours later. It smells amazing. Sweet and citrusy like how you would think an orange flavored lollipop would taste. If that makes sense lol. Will probably be one of my go to scents for the summer. I bought the rainbow one also. Looking forward to trying that one. I do enjoy this scent so much, as I love scents that smell like clean laundry / fresh drying sheets plus I also like sweet scents so this is the perfect combination of both for me. Not the same as Oriana or Love Don’t Be Shy but definitely perfect for layering with both fragrances for a slight touch of freshness. Also this scent lasts a pretty long time and I own the Body Mist (not the perfume) so I believe the EDP version must be even more long lasting.

straight up candied orange with a hint of floral and i love it! if you love LDBS by kilian, you’ll probably enjoy this too. she’s cavity-inducing sweet, but not as powdery or marshmallowy as LDBS. the citrus note in magnetic candy is more like an actual fruit vs orange blossom, thus making it a tad more prominent. ansaam gold by lattafa is pretty similar in scent and pricing and has much better longevity!

Yum! This is the exact type of warm weather citrus I’ve been searching for! That pomelo note is perfection!! It’s really juicy and sweet paired with the cotton candy note. It’s not listed but I definitely smell something indolic and white floral in the composition—which I love as a white floral aficionado. Never tried the original but I keep seeing people say this is a great dupe!

God, I love this. There's a fizzy almost burnt sugar vibe from the cotton candy. And the grapefruit keeps it fresh and tart. I don't get much of the violet but I feel like it's doing something magical in the background because this is a pretty unique scent profile. Definitely my favorite of the Fine'ry collection. It smells like summer vacation: happy, carefree, endless sunshine.

Wow, I love this way more than I thought I would! My favorite Fine'ry scent is Before the Rainbow but this might be a veryyyyy close second. My boyfriend told me I smelled like candy before I even told him what I was wearing. I'm getting a gummy bear vibe that I also get from Meliora and Mood Ring. I can't wait to get this in the full size!

This fragrance was my introduction to cheap perfumes. I have had many body sprays that do not last long at all, but this was the first fragrance I have owned that sticks around for a while. It makes me very happy when I can smell it after going to work or going out for the day. I am very excited to try the other fragrances from Fine'ry.

This is so sweet and citrusy, I can't help but love it. It smells like cotton candy doused in grapefruit juice and it's heavenly, though definitely not for everyone. I am not anosmic to the cotton candy note so at first, it's almost too juvenile, but give it about 30 minutes after the dry down and it's like...my new go-to scent.

This my favorite in my current collection. Overall it smells like a sweet fresh laundry detergent but in the best way. It’s very sweet and you can smell the citrus but it’s airy and fresh not sharp. The dry down gets sweater as the cotton candy comes in. It last and projects a really long time. Please don’t discontinue!!!

I love this scent! It is a little sweet and strong on initial spray. It dries down into something really precious. I get the cotton candy note mixed with a slightly floral chaser. I sprayed this on my arm to test it about 2 hours ago and I can still smell it. This one is a keeper. I love it on my skin. Rate- 9/10

What a seriously delicious fragrance. I was a bit worried about the cotton candy note, but the overall fragrance is creamier and more citrusy. It is in the same scent category as LDBS and Oriana. As a gourmand lover, this is nice to have when I am not in the mood for vanillas.

I’m not sure what this smells like - I get the citrus and the violet - two notes I love. And some sweet airiness - that must be the cotton candy. But it’s all extremely well blended and smooth. Not specifically edible but so fresh and delicious. It’s always in rotation.

I find this to be delicious and divine. The citrus note keeps the cotton candy from being cloying or nauseating. I think this is a fun scent and you can't beat the price. My husband hates it and thinks it smells like artificial grape. I do not get that AT ALL.

Born and raised in Arizona, and this smells just like summers by the pool in the Valley of the Sun. For me it smells just like Oleander Trees and warmth in 1970. This fragrance makes me so happy. I want to always have this around for the memories it ignites.

This one smells like a sugared orange blossom and layers well with LDBS, Oriana and Princess. Most of their fragrances are better for layering. Many need to keep in mind that Finer’y is a store brand fragrance house and it then some slack.

This is really bright and pretty! Perfect youthful spring/summer scent. It's like Thank u next (minus the pickle accord) & JHAG Not a perfume had a baby. It's not listed but there has to be some sort of molecule in here!

This is missing some notes. I definitely get Neroli. It's a yummy extra sweet and bright candied floral with a bit of an animalic summer vibe from Neroli. It's youthful and feminine and lasts really well. I Love it!

i’ve heard a lot of people compare this to prada candy, however, i disagree. this has a much more orange slice scent to it. BUT!!! it does layer beautifully with prada candy. i love it layered and by itself.

Straightforward Citrus cotton Candy. Anyone who doesn’t get sweet citrus is anosmic to something in this. It’s addictive, I love it. Smells almost identical to Sundazed but I actually like this better.

I love this one! My favorite thing to do is layer it with Prada Paradox. They really compliment each other. It is also great on its own. It is a very nice clean, citrusy, and sweet scent.

This is my guilty pleasure fave from the Fine'ry line! It's a playful candy scent balanced by bright citrus. It's just fun and makes me want to check out Oriana from PDM.

Target really made a $30 dupe of Sundazed that I actually like MORE than Sundazed. The citrus and cotton candy are blended in a really lovely way in this one.

In love at first sniff, amazing sun drenched candy. Nice and strong scented and lasts a long time on me. I bought the whole line in love with them all.

This is one of my top favorite summer perfumes! It smells like cotton candy, rainbows, and sunshine without being too sickly sweet. 10/10.

Smells like candied oranges. Very close dupe for Killian's LDBS, but I actually prefer Magnetic Candy. I'm completely in love.

RE-REVIEW 3/20/23: F*** what I said below, I actually love this LOL? I've seen so many people say they didn't like this at first and then later they loved it, and now I'm one of them! I stand by that it smells like dryer sheets at first; it just does. But that falls off, and it lends a freshness to what would otherwise be a cloying sugar scent. This is such a yummy, bright cotton candy. The scent experience they give on the box really is accurate when they say it makes you feel nostalgic. To me this is going to be a super fun summer fragrance without being any of the usual coconuts or fruit salads. I still don't fully understand why I like this, but it kept clawing me back in and I can no longer deny it. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Blech; smells like strong dryer sheets to me. Gives me a headache. Oddly enough another fragrance in this line which doesn't actually list cotton candy, Sweet on the Outside, gives me a much better "cotton candy" fragrance for my taste. Nothing wrong with either one, but this is definitely more on the side of the Pink Sugar burnt sugar kinds of cotton candies, to me. I totally agree with a few other reviewers that I smell orange blossom here, too. Where I disagree with some of the reviews is that there's anything juicy or remotely fruity about it. I don't smell that. The end result of all this combined gives me a very scratchy, allergenic feel. I feel this one between my eyes. I don't think this is a bad fragrance and that's why it's a dislike and not a hate for me, but it's just very much not my thing. I can easily see some people adoring this and it would probably smell lovely on them. EDIT: In full fairness, after 2 hours this softened majorly and I have to say it’s really yummy at that point. I kept getting a whiff of it and saying “mmm”. No more screechiness. Still a bit too much for me, and I don’t want to wait through the initial leg of it to enjoy it, but credit where it’s due and I have to bump up my rating. This is a surprisingly sophisticated cotton candy; that’s not an easy balancing act!

Second update!! A month later the perfume has had a decent amount of time to sit and macerate. Today I sprayed it just to see how I feel about it and there’s definitely a difference since the first and second time I tried it! Today when I sprayed this I only get fresh citrusy pomelo. The floral note of violet is so far in the background that it doesn’t bother me at all. I’m still not smelling the cotton candy but the mere fact that I can finally enjoy this scent and wear it as a fresh citrusy scent when I want a break from my usual gourmands is good news! I’m glad I didn’t return it. Update: A few days since I tried this. I let it sit in a cool dark place and tested it again a few days later. Now the floral note is a lot less offensive to my nose and the pomelo/citrus is a lot more dominant. Still no cotton candy which makes me sad. First impression: (blind ordered) I'm so incredibly confused?? This doesn't smell like pomelo and cotton candy at all. The only thing I smell is a citrus opening which then turns into a headache inducing bitter floral. It's not remotely sweet. I don't get any hint of cotton candy. I'm seeing comparisons to Prada Candy and Midnight Blue Citrus which I've smelled and consider very sweet but this...? I'm starting to think there was a factory mistake and they poured some other perfume into a Magnetic Candy bottle because this smells nothing like the notes, packaging or reviews say. It's even considered a gourmand so where's the sweetness? I'll update later in case the cotton candy comes through but right now my wrists just smell like tulips and daisies.

So today I need to break change in order to put air in my tires... So I went to target and decided to smell some of the finery offerings they had to see what the hype was about. This was the one that I ended up buying, because I liked it the most out of all of them, aside from sweet on the outside, but they didn’t have any more of the sprays left, so this is what I picked up. This smells good, there’s nothing wrong with it. I will say, though, it does remind me a whole lot of the cotton candy body fantasies. They smell a lot alike, it’s almost the same, this one just has a little bit more complexity to it, but there’s no mistake in that cotton candy note... It’s the same one. As far as the whole line goes, they weren’t bad, but I only liked a couple of them. I don’t know if I would spring for the perfumes, but the body sprays are nice...very good for someone who’s on a budget.

I don’t really get a gourmand vibe from this fragrance...for whatever reason. I see some people say they really pick up on the caramel, but I don’t. It’s simply a very lovely & sweet floral for me. It feels like standing next to a flower bed, and in particular, standing next to a bunch of honeysuckles! The first thing I thought of when I sprayed it was how much it reminded me of Flying Fox shower gel by Lush Cosmetics, which is primarily scented with jasmine & 3 kinds of honey. It’s not a dupe, but just enough alike to remind me of that right off the bat. I really, really enjoy this scent. I bought it in late Fall, here in cold Michigan, so I haven’t really given it a proper wear test while I’m out & about, but with spring on the way, I really look forward to wearing this! :-)

I enjoyed this more than I thought I would! It's mostly a sweet citrus scent to me - I unfortunately don't get any violet. Also, it's not listed as a note, but I definitely smell orange blossom (which may be part of why others are saying this is a dupe for Sundazed, which features neroli, but I haven't smelled that one). I appreciate that the sweetness comes from a cotton candy note instead of vanilla, which differentiates this fragrance a bit. On the dry down, it gives me dryer sheet vibes, which isn't a bad thing for me - these dryer sheets specifically remind me of visiting my grandma during the Summertime as I was growing up, when I'd often help her with laundry. Overall, this is actually very pleasant!

This is a beast mode cotton candy scent. Even the body spray lasts all day on skin and clothes. People literally turn their head when I wear this and say "why am I suddenly craving cotton candy?". This is great of you love feminine, youthful, cotton candy scents. I find I can only wear it as a nighttime scent when I want to smell fun and decadent. It is fairly well balanced with the citrus notes but definitely don't buy this until you spray it first.

At first sniff, it smelled like a pretty decent (80%) dupe of Kilian's Love Don't Be Shy, which I also own. It has the same powdery candy Sweet Tarts note. However, I think it's fresher on drydown. I smell almost a hint of white tea that's really nice. I may purchase in the future after trying a few more tea perfumes. I didn't read any of the previous comments before writing this impression, and I love that other people are getting the same vibe.
