Not Another Cherry

i was looking into this scent as a cheaper alternative to 'cherry punk' by room 1015 until i can get my mitts on it and 'lost cherry' by tom ford, which i no longer especially want after doing a swatch and smelling it in person. i tried a swatch of 'lost cherry' and it came in incredibly strong but not overwhelming, more of a kiss to the nose than a punch, with a truly delightful bitter candy cherry note before it abruptly shifted into a stinky, bug spray-like after-scent. it may be because i tried it on my skin and not a card? but if it doesn't mesh with my chemistry then it's an obvious no-go. a shame. i may still get a sample of 'lost cherry' and try it out some more to see if it grows on me, but the swatch was such a disappointment! this scent is definitely reminiscent of that strong opening to 'lost cherry,' but it's more watery, nutty, and light plus without the nasty after-scent. it's lasted FOREVER and stayed strong for at least 6 hours. i put it on around 11:00 am and it is now around 11:30 pm as i'm typing this and it is still faintly noticeable when standing close to me. i wanted something fruity, sweet, fun, AND androgynous without being too much and this fit the bill 100%. i absolutely love it. a strong contender for a signature scent! my only problem with 'not another cherry' is that it made my neck break out in a rash after a few minutes of having it on! i have chronic eczema and it's luckily been forever since a fragrance has made me itch and break out but this one did :^( i put it on my wrists and on the insides of my knees and those areas have been fine all day! no rashes there! but my neck broke out into a rash and i had to clean it off my neck and put vaseline on in its place. i decided to spray it on my undershirt instead and that worked for me, but i would say beware this one if you have sensitive skin like me.

I am absolutely obsessed with this fragrance, so much so that I frantically purchased a backup the second it was back in stock even though I’m not even done with the first bottle. It doesn’t project a crazy amount but it absolutely does last. BUT, the trick is spritz on your clothing. On clothing, I can smell it for days, no joke. Is this a dupe for Lost Cherry? Eh. Sort of? I guess? Maybe yes in the sense that it’s a cherry scent that contains almond, amaretto, a bit of a booziness, and rose. However - while this may cause some to wrinkle their nose - I much, much, much prefer this to Lost Cherry. Something in LC makes me nauseous, likely the ambroxan/amber. At first spritz with LC, I’m in love. But, I hate the dry down. I want that cherry note to stick around and it just doesn’t. With Not Another Cherry, I love it all the way through, even when the dry down becomes more rose-y and the cherry fades. To my nose, Not Another Cherry becomes much more of an almond/amaretto fragrance than a cherry fragrance. And, I am absolutely not complaining - I love amaretto. With that said, I can definitely perceive the cherry all the way through, even as the almond/amaretto starts to become more prominent. I do NOT get cough syrup at all. It’s a bit boozy, sure. But, I don’t get the cough syrup thing. Maybe that’s because I love a very artificial, syrupy, fake cherry note? I’m still looking for a fragrance that smells like ACTUAL maraschino cherries with a bit of creaminess and this is as close as I’ve gotten so far. It’s not a crazy, complicated niche perfume. It’s not the most luxurious. But, damn it, it is good. I have to stop myself from wearing it every day so I don’t get tired of it.

Update: - In February in northern Europe: I am getting plum, smokiness, rose, soft liquor kind of abstractly (I didn't think I'd ever really like smokey scents but like it a lot in this composition, reminding me of a dry sauna, in a good way) - In the summer in the heat: I am getting plum, booziness, spices (cinnamon or cloves), nuttiness, vanilla + some hours in getting palo santo (like with Kayali's Burning Cherry) + faintly reminiscent of candy floss. Great value for a long lasting perfume. I can smell this new Target scent on my skin for a long time, even till the next day. I think I may actually prefer this to my Lost Cherry and to Burning Cherry which I sampled before. Why? Because Not Another Cherry maintains fruitiness throughout the drydown, whereas Lost Cherry: 1) loses its amazing cherry top note and loses fruity notes throughout 2) more about wood and tobacco than I would have gone for 3) becomes really more of a "masculine" scent, which I wouldn't have bought on its own 4) more suitable for cooler days than hot weather 5) doesn't have longevity or projection 6) cost So I think Not Another Cherry actually ticks more of my boxes than my once-fave Lost Cherry - it's also a heatwave right now so when the falls comes around I'll compare them. I may use Lost Cherry for that amazing top note and richness and then when it dissipates in a couple hours top up with Not Another Cherry. But I could also see myself switching to the Target one because it just feels more carefree + wearable + fruitier. Surprised to see perfume from Target but it's no shock that they would jump into the lucrative fragrance business.

love love love this scent! its a bit strange but personally, i get a strong, cozy, spiced cherry-apple pie scent from this. i’m surprised nobody else has commented on an apple pie-like note coming through. it reminds me of my beloved signature body spray from high school, sugared cherry crisp from bath and bodyworks, but with more of a smoky, spiced note, toning down the saccharine sweetness of the white sugar note in sugared cherry crisp. this is a very high quality perfume and the body spray is just as good surprisingly, one of the few companies to make the body spray feel as high quality as the perfume ly. i’ve tried both and while i believe that $28 is a great price for such a good quality perfume, i also think if you love this scent and don’t want to spend as much, the $13 body spray is also incredibly nice and just as delicious smelling as the perfume. body spray lasted around 6-7 hours on me with just two small sprays, very impressed. my sugared cherry crisp spray can barely last 2 and a half. this will be my grown up replacement for my signature body spray. :3 cherry and almond will forever be some of my most favorite scents and this perfume is a perfect display of that.

Disclaimer: I have never smelled Lost Cherry, but was very curious about the notes and sought a close, more affordable impression fragrance to scratch the itch. I landed on this one after reading reviews here and ended up blind buying it as the testers in my Target were empty. I’m so glad I took the risk and picked it up because I LOVE it. This scent is the fragrance version of a sweet yet boozy amaretto cocktail garnished with cherries. The opening is all cherry, a juicy and sweet but rich cherry note that’s almost jammy, and more like a Luxardo cocktail cherry than a maraschino or even a fresh cherry. From there the experience is fairly linear, going from that cherry to a quick burst of cinnamon that fades within a few minutes and returns to a more muted but still rich and juicy cherry. After a while I do get the rose note blended in, but the ending is all that amaretto-esque almond. It’s very warm and definitely sweet but not too sweet to my nose. This doesn’t have incredible longevity on me and seems to run it’s course in about 4 to 5 hours, but at $29 for 2 oz I feel like I can re-spritz without worrying that I’m going through the bottle too quickly.

Look—I get that this is a polarizing fragrance. I am here to say that I LOVE it. I think it wears beautifully on me and is perfect year-round (although it leans more A/W). I’ve repurchased it because I already used an entire bottle. Best $30 I ever spent! First, let me tell you about my experience of wearing this perfume. I blind-bought this, but I am a lover of gourmand fragrances so loving this isn’t a huge shocker. What WAS a huge shocker was the overwhelming amount of compliments that I received (and still do) when I wear this perfume. One time, I was hugging my grandmother goodbye at dinner and she asked me what perfume I was wearing. I have never heard her comment on anyone’s perfume EVER, and I had sprayed this on like 14hrs earlier!!! On me, this perfume is amaretto, sweet cherries, and sprite. It’s sooooo straight-up CHERRY. Which I love. It layers beautifully with many of my other fragrances, including higher-end ones like Armani Si Pasione Intense. If this perfume is ever discontinued, you will find me weeping for an extended period of time.

This is truly a favorite of mine and definitely what most people associate with me. Originally sold out of the perfume at target, I purchased the body mist because I was so in love w the smell. Later received the perfume for Yule. The longevity is intense on me, the perfume lasting a good 5-6 hours as a heavy cloud and still being very present on the skin past that point. The body mist lasts a good 3-4 hrs. It starts very heavy rich cherry and amoretto with that beautiful rose note that is so underrated in this formula. The rose and amoretto slowly fade until you're left with this luscious cherry scent that follows you everywhere you go. I layer this with my homemade cardamom, cinnamon, myrrh, labdanum, and Egyptian musk oil for a spicy cherry musk smell that reads more sexy. I layer it with a dark woodsy peppery leathery oil I made when I want something more like cherry punk by room 1015. I wear this in warm weather, cold, when I go to the gym, when I'm anxious, it's just a great pick me up kind of smell.

i hated this several months ago and now i'm obsessed! here's what i think changed that: 1. i didn't have perfume on 2. i wasn't sweaty 3. probably a different batch 4. the target i shop at had a new sample so it wasn't as old as another sample may have been. (i noticed the older samples smelled worse) i say all this because a lot of people i know hated this on first scent and yeah it's a bit jarring at first but letting it settle on the skin did wonders for my opinion. i sprayed it on my hand and walked around for an hour before i actually got the last bottle they had in stock. it's also way better than TF lost cherry. it also weirdly layers well with a lot of the scents i wear regularly so this bottle is going to be my purse perfume. edit: today a woman approached me and said "you smell like someone spilled cherry bitters on you, it's intoxicating" and then proceeded to ask what it was to buy it for her wife. lesbian approved 👍

I’ve been wanting a good cherry scent for a while, but the TF (Lost Cherry) and Kayali (Burning Cherry) both smell waaaay more smoky than they do of cherry. This, though, is PERFECT! I had sprayed a bit last time I was in Target and I couldn’t stop bringing my wrist to my nose for more sniffs- which is always a good sign! I picked it up today. And, to my delight, it was only $25 instead of $29 since I’m a member of Target Circle! It’s a bit boozy, dark, and sensual- not at all medicinal- and the cherry note STAYS!!! Which is precisely what I wanted! Also, I got the eau de parfum, and the performance is great, right away! I can’t say I like the others scents in this brand, but this is a win. It’s also very unique, and I’m betting I can layer it with one of my Black Opium flankers to get the vibe of their ‘Over Red’ without having to buy it! Plus, the Cherry note in that one disappears too quickly.

It’s just a lost cherry dupe , but like thats kinda what makes it amazing , it’s like 85% similar and you can buy it at your local target for like 35$ , if you like lost cherry and you wana save some money literally just get this, i’ve never been to a target that doesn’t have it ether it’s super easy to get , the longevity isn’t anything crazy but same for the real one, i would even recommend this to someone who actually has the real lost cherry, just because you can spray this one all the time if you want and don’t have to worry about using too much of your 400$ 50ml i might just be a fiend for cherry stuff, literally a 3 rd of my collection is cherry frags so anything with cherry in it gets me excited, im rambling, go pick this up if you like lost cherry why not

Very affordable! Bought it as I love Lost Cherry but can't afford to keep it on my shelf. For the price, it does a decent job. Not exactly the same but very close at nearly 1/10 the cost. On my sweater it stayed very true to smell in the Cherry scent. On my skin it faded to a light almondy scent. Lasted 4 hours maybe with good projection and like 5? Sprays. My coworker said they could smell me only when they were within a foot or so, which I'm content with. Simpler, than LC but still very satisfying to me. I would probably take this with me on the go to freshen up my Cherry scent. As a tiny gripe, I don't care for the bottle. It's mostly how it feels, the texture is not great to me. But at least I can spray liberally guilt free!

I own both this and Lost Cherry, as well as the Dossier dupe for Lost Cherry, Ambery Cherry. This and Dossier are both very accurate dupes for LC. LC has a bit more boozy notes than the dupes, but does not have very good longevity. Dossier has the best performance and sillage, but I find that sometimes unless you do just one spritz the performance is TOO much - beast mode. Not Another Cherry is a good balance of both - good performance, accurate to the original scent it's duping, not overhwhelming/too powerful as to be offensive. Finally, the price is right on NAC - it's less expensive than the Dossier option. I really think if you want the vibe of Lost Cherry without paying an arm and a leg, this is the best option.

I loved this perfume while I had it. I had never smelled the perfume it’s duped after, so maybe that may make my opinion much different. I think this scent is a very unique and a perfume that’ll make you do a double take upon first sniff (in an alluring way). I love the smell of cherries, and have found myself to be blind to when they resemble cough drops/cough syrup so I can’t give an honest opinion on how it compares to that. If I had to say, it’s far from it until you really try and sniff the nozzle closely then you can pick up on that sickly smell. The almond I think keeps it at bay. It’s such a classical scent that I feel like it could be timeless. Longevity is alright. Compliments about it are great.

I love this more than TF's Lost Cherry and any dupes that I have of Lost Cherry. I have dupes of Lost Cherry because the original sadly doesn't last very long on me. I'm okay with paying top dollar if there's decent longevity, but Lost Cherry just doesn't last on my skin. I have very faithful dupes of it from various dupe houses that I use instead. However... you guys, I prefer this one to my small decant of the original Lost Cherry and the various Lost Cherry dupes I have. This is most definitely a Lost Cherry dupe, however, there's something in here that just makes me love it even more. I've always liked Lost Cherry, but I love this. It smells absolutely divine.

this scent really surprised me! I always smell all the target fragrances hoping to come across a hidden gem and I have finally found one! this fragrance opens very cherry and amaretto heavy, and as it dries down the rose becomes more forward and the amaretto almond blends so well with the cherry and rose. it smells like a delicious cherry cocktail in a dark lit room surrounded by a loving bouquet of roses. I wish it lasted a bit longer and was a bit stronger! however for the price point it preforms VERY well, just not as much as I demand from it LMAO however seriously I do not mind reapplying because of the low cost. very study and beautiful bottle as well.

I've tried a ton of cherry almond perfume because it's one of my favorite scent combos. Even though this one is the cheapest of the bunch, it is hands down the best. The cherry note is perfectly sweet and syrupy without being medicinal on my nose. The almond and amaretto are realistic and are not drowned out by the cherry notes. I find that even the body spray lasts several hours and has great projection. I wear this most often in wintertime and will even spray it on my bedsheets because it's just that good. I wear it sometimes in the warmer months too as a nighttime date night scent. It makes me feel very bougie and sophisticated without breaking the bank.

Love this perfume. I wear it with eos vanilla cashmere lotion in the wintertime. The boozy/cherry notes do tend to fade in the first few hours, and I wish it stayed a little fruitier for longer; it turns kind of almondy on me after a few hours, so if you're looking for a more genuine cherry and don't care about longevity, you might prefer Phlur's Cherry Stem. But what this is is also great, and it lasts for days on my clothes especially. When I wear this perfume, people tell me that I smell like a bakery which is exactly what I want in mid-winter lol. And it's a steal at this price point too!

Never smelled Lost Cherry but this is amazing! Smells like juicy sweet maraschino cherries on top of rum raisin ice cream. Instant love! Lasts forever on me! I don’t pick up the Turkish rose. It’s also very similar to Sweetheart Cherry from Bath & Body Works which I bought before I tried this. Together they are the most dreamy seductive cherry combo! I get 5+ hours of sillage from Not Another Cherry and even after that I keep catching whiffs of it on me. It’s not overpowering but stays on you for so long. I’ve been sleeping on this fragrance DNA and so glad I finally got on board!

This is sooo good! But then again I am a cherry/almond scent type of gal so I was bound to love this.At first spray, it can be very sweet, almost like a 🍒cherry cough syrup which I know a lot will probably dislike but to me it's so yummy. As it dries down you start to get the Almond and amaretto. After a few hours my husband said it smelled like cinnamon and I can definitely see that. This is super affordable btw, and I know the Fine'ry is known to make dupes to popular expensive scents so for sure give them a try! I will absolutely be repurchasing this once this bottle runs out.

It smells just like TF Lost Cherry but for way less. And it lasts longer. Not cherry cough medicine, just a nice, sweet cherry that is somewhat nutty/boozy but not overpoweringly so. The cherry in this fragrance lasts for as long as the rest of the notes do, which I also love. A gripe I have with a lot of cherry fragrances is that the cherry often disappears VERY quickly, like within the first 10 minutes or so. However, I can definitely see this potentially causing headaches if oversprayed, and I am generally not sensitive to fragrances like this, so don't use too much at a time.
