Gâteau des Anges

Wow! This is a very unique, absolutely beautiful, almost angelic, fluffy cloud like fragrance. Don’t be put off by the notes. Nothing in this is heavy, sickly sweet or overly cakey. This is amazingly well blended! Gateau Des Anges opens with light notes of peach, butter and lemon, with a hint of whisky faintly in the background. As it dries down the milky vanilla/caramel and a sugary tuberose/honeysuckle mix appear. The dry down is where it’s at. It’s absolutely stunning! The best way I can describe this is like a fluffy, pillowy soft, cloud light sponge cake. It’s decorated with a mix of tuberose and honeysuckle flowers, drizzled with a little caramel sauce and dusted with vanilla icing sugar. The name is just perfect because this is very light and airy. It’s also long lasting. I got a good 6-8 hours wear out of this and the scent bubble was divine! I would wear this year round. I can’t stop smelling this and had to add this to my collection. If you like Gourmands, this is an absolute MUST try! I absolutely love it! 10/10! Some have compared this to D&G Devotion which I love, but this scent didn’t come to mind when I smelt Gâteau des Anges .... so I compared them side by side and can 100% say these are two completely different fragrances: Devotion - is a fun, sweet and sugary lemon scent that reminds me of Limoncello. Gâteau des Anges - is a much more refined and sophisticated type of gourmand resembling a fluffy angel cake with a good dose of vanilla/tuberose icing sugar. WARNING - for anyone in the UK, this cost me an additional £90 in shipping and import fees! The perfume is already very expensive for 50ml, so it’s only worth buying if you live in the US. Absolutely not worth it for UK customers.

The dabber sample I paid 20 dollars for from @kaylovely came completely shattered because she decided to pack it in nothing but a reused thin mailer envelope with a piece of printer paper she claims it was supposed to be wrapped in but it was not folded or creased at all and also had 80% of it cut out :/ no box, no inner wrapping, no protection. Just threw a glass vial in a thin mailer after cutting out her info from the scent burrd receipt without even bothering to remove the unrelated perfume pamphlet from them and called it a day. she refuses to refund me and actually had the audacity to link me to the usps claims website and tell me to deal with it lol. Not even a sorry or admission of fault. Mind you, I waited almost two weeks and gave her grace to send it at her own pace too. Do not order from her, just pay ten more dollars and get it new from the site
