AO

Love at first sniff. I have a sample of this and at first I thought it smelled like Philosykos, but no, they're very different, especially on dry down. AO has very delicate sweetness to it - imagine sitting next to a fig tree full of ripe figs on a sunny summer day in August. While Philosykos is greener - imagine sitting next to a fig tree full of unripe figs on a partly sunny day in May. While Philosykos keeps the fig scent on dry down, AO is transforming to a delicate, flowery goodness, probably because of the violet note. I just can't get over the price to purchase a full bottle. Also, wouldn't it be nice if Floraiku made it possible to choose the design of the refill bottle? Some of the other Floraiku perfumes have THE BEST refill bottle designs, but I don't like their smell. Edit: I ended up purchasing a whole bottle and have no regrets whatsoever. Perfect summer frargrance!

When you think about the fruit, fig, the first thing that comes to mind is the texture for me. It’s luscious and feels like velvet in your mouth. It's seductive. Then it starts to permeate. Distinctive fig sent. I get that same quality in this fragrance . It is nothing like a traditional scent of fig as you would typically imagine. The violet completely changes it. If you purchase this without smelling first prepare to be surprised. I did it and I am very happy with my decision. It's more of a sweet violet with a touch of green fig and orange than a full on fruit fragrance. I highly recommend. Especially after it has been on for about a half hour. It's really quite beautiful.

I felt so in love with this materpiece. This is pure class in a bottle. The opening is reaaally herbal and bitter, almost a kinda leafy smell, but wait for it because the sweetness is there and is going to appear. In fact after some minutes, the fig fruit comes in, along with a floral and sweet smell which reminds me a little bit of Caligna. This part is so so elegant and refined, smells so classy and expensive. Right after that, welcome tonka bean! Fig fruit and mandarine are supported by that creamy sweet base which makes this perfume one of the best things i’ve discovered lately. Pure Love

It does remind me of figuier eden but just 25% similar max and only the opening and even then its more similar to philosykos on my skin. The first few minutes is fresh figs, and dries down to a sweet but dry vanilla scent, similar to eau duelle. But the fruityness doesnt completely go away but becomes very nondescript at that phase. Its truly beautiful, i have both figuier eden and philosykos and even at this price point, im still going to get this one too.

On my skin, this opens very figgy and green backed by , but quickly dissipates into a soft creamy vanilla with tangerine. I find this to be perfectly unisex, though I can understand why this can be seen as feminine. My only real complaint about this fragrance is the price tag, which I find to be near highway robbery.

This is a green opening on my skin and the sweetness and florals play a supporting role throughout which blends perfectly. The vetiver adds an earthiness that keeps this on the masculine side of unisex.

I recently got this one and I feel like I need to review it since I don’t find the main accords to be fair at all. First of all, this is a very unique scent — not for everyone and definitely not a blind buy (as I did). I just tried it on paper at Harrods and liked the freshness and fig. However, on the skin, it turns much more dull with a soft earthiness. To me, this scent is neither sweet nor fruity. Or well, fruity but ONLY from figs. This is mostly a green fragrance, and I would have placed the ”woody” accord higher on the list. Anyways, AO is not a bad scent. It’s completely unisex, and works great as a layering fragrance of you want to add more depth to your other perfumes. I tried mixing it with Wild Bluebell from Jo Malone and Father Figure from Phlur — both turned out to be really good. However, I am not satisfied to have paid around 250£ for it to be ”nice as layering”.

Got some testers because I had never heard of Floraiku before. I really like this scent; my best overall description is a warm citrus. Initial application is a very strong tangerine scent, but the fig and myrrh come through on the dry down to round it out into something warmer. The florals don't really make it smell flowery but definitely helps lift the scent and gives a 'clean' vibe. I will say, while I like the scent a lot, it doesn't project at all after about 30 minutes and is pretty hard to catch a whiff of after an hour or two, which is disappointing for the price point and the main reason I don't "love" this scent.

I like it a lot, it's very fresh and green but at the same time smooth and comforting. I wouldn't call it sweet at all, really opening very green with citrus oil mixed with very fresh a bit underripe figs, then I get smooth myrrh oil and lots of fresh woody vetiver in the drydown. It's not quite what I expected, because I expected something sweeter and girlier, and this feels perfectly unisex and fresh, but it still is nice and meditative. the fig note is similar to phylosykos undoubtedly, but somehow the composition is very different for me, although hard to describe why...

Very nice. I rarely talk about price, having said that, let’s talk about price. This is fair at the 2-250 price range. 350?! That’s a bit much. BUT I bought it lol bc that presentation is incredible and I love my pretty bottles...but I’m a collector and frag lover.

To me the opening is somewhat mix of Philosykos and Figuer Eden as reviewer below described, and a tad sharper (from pepper) and fresher. In the dry down it start smelling like old fashioned lipstick, must be the violet that takes over. Doesn't last long.

The only perfume I have ever regretted decluttering (and I have decluttered a ton). Beautiful classy fig, earthy, a bit zen like and expensive smelling. Great projection and sillage. Still have a 10ml travel spray which I will use super sparingly.

This is more on the green spectrum of scents than sweet or fruity. There is some fruity sweetness just not an overly abundance. I would put this on the masculine side of unisex. Longevity and sillage is moderate. 6+hrs 👍

This opens with a green fig, and dries down to a light vanilla. Similar to many comments, I do enjoy this but that price tag is crazy!

Enigmatic floral and fruit compost. Intimate feminine scent that hovers right over the skin. Sensual in a way. Bubblicious.

I'll caveat this by saying 'my opinion, only' but this, to me, is a skin scent version of Bronze Goddess, which is a 'Lite' version of Kilian's Moonlight In Heaven. Lol. I know, I know, the note breakdowns don't bear that out at all, but if you have them, see if I am right :) At summary level, all are light, airy, beautiful fragrances. For this one specifically, I find it like JHAG 'Not a perfume'.. not the smell, but the fact I go anomastic to it almost instantly, until I go outside.. then it is BANG!! 'IM HERE!!' FB buy? No. Not for me. Its just a lot of money for a scent that is missing half the time.

For about the first twenty minutes this scent made me feel like I'd bitten directly into an unpeeled tangerine along with some of its leaves. It started out very green and sharp. It's been about two hours since I put it on, and it's settled into a pleasant sweeter tangerine scent with a little bit of spice and earthiness. I'm not really getting any fig or floral with my skin chemistry. I imagine this would be a really great summer scent for some people. Definitely not something I'd wear every day, but I can see myself bringing it on a tropical vacation.

The opening comes really weird on my nose, kinda older feminine smell in my opinion heavy on fig and violet. The dry down is much nicer in my opinion, it gets a pleasant sweetness and warmth but doesn’t really smell like a particular thing other than the color lavender can’t get it out of my head. The price makes this decision pretty easy, at least it lasts a while

Smooth and slimy seaweed dances on the rocks, coves and transparent inlets of southern Japan, the Okinawa Peninsula, but also Kabira, Shikinejima, Kamakura, Aharen, or Tomori... On my skin, it opens green at first, somewhere between Shikoku and the shore of an ionian island, where fig trees grow twisted by the sun and sea breeze. The seaweed is neither salty nor iodized. Neither stickiness nor beached kelp, but rather translucent like a green nebulous vapor. The Fig Wood is very present, without milk or drama, and can evoke the Mediterranean coastline if you've never been to Japan. A scent of tree bark growing in harmony with the crickets and pine trees. A steep path towards the sea and the pebbles. That's a "zen" fragrance that doesn't smell of the beach at all, but of its surrounding panorama. It's the scent that reaches your nostrils without you seeing the maritime perimeter...

This was a surprise. The opening was shockingly peppery and sharp and not at all what I had expected. The fig and faint floral and woody notes eventually do appear, but on my skin, the sharp note was dominant to the point of distraction and never really went away. Actually, I wouldn't have thought of this as a fig-centered fragrance at all unless I had been told so, and I'm still not convinced. If you're thinking Philosykos or Debaser, you'll likely be as surprised as I was. Not disappointed, but not completely satisfied, either.

This is the best fig fragrance I’ve ever encountered. The opening is quite green and leafy and reminds me of Philosykos but far exceeds it with a much more rich resinous, sweet, aromatic vetiver, and figgy base. It’s very fig forward with a rich, sticky, sweet fig. The fig reminds me of fig newton. It’s slightly floral but not much. It’s also backed up by warm tonka, zingy pink pepper, and myrrh. It’s an absolute beauty, for that price it should be.

unfortunately doesn't work with my chemistry at alllll... pink pepper tends to make fragrances really sharp on my skin, and ao was no exception! i was also surprised not to see any woods listed in the notes as there is the slightest pencil shaving quality on me. really just smells like bug spray with a hint of fig and woods.... a shame as i see prior reviewers seem to love this.

At first there’s a strong burst of crunchy wet crisp greens and fig, not interested in those notes, but don’t worry, that part doesn’t last long. Then it gets sweet, but not a girly or gourmand sweet, more like a mellow very classy sporty sweet; this I liked! The dry down was a creamy clean with a light unisex sweetness. Again, smells expensive. COMPLETELY UNISEX.

I bought the Floraiku sample pack, and while this one stood out the most - none of them were different enough from each other to make me consider them. This one probably leaned more fruity than the others with cricket song leaning a bit more woody. The rest were a total melding of tea florals.

It smells like Play-Doh. Like I love it. But it smells like photo realistic Play-Doh. Sweet and almondy. Salty. I have it on my wrist and I keep going back to smell it "no way it smells like Play-Doh let me smell it again.... Yep... Play-Doh."

Lovely fig + incense combo. Not sweet which works greatly for my taste. Recommend!
