I Dream of Paris

This is my favourite floraiku fragrance. The first 30 minutes of this is a heavy apple fragrance with sweet rose , and undertones of vetiver plus gooseberry. 2 hours into this fragrance, is my favourite time of wearing it , it's a cotton candy like rose and fruity scent. Nearing the end of this fragrance is a similar cotton candy scent but more citrusy. I dream of Paris lasted an impressive amount of time,with it lasting 10 hours but projecting for 7 of those hours. I also found this to be one of floraiku stronger scents.Overall, I completely love this fragrance.

I love the scent, I have a sample with my OUFT and loved it. It makes me think of childrens apple shampoo and bubblegum and sweet tea roses blooming in a dessert. It’s a joyful and unique scent that has a sweet, cosy vibe. That said it’s not limited to a young person. I imagine everyone could wear it. I think I would trade in four other rose perfumes for this one. Beautiful.

It's now end of summer - beginning of autumn where I am, and this scent goes very well with it. First I sprayed it on a sunny afternoon outside and thought "bread crumbles from Champs Elysees" - kinda warm enveloping scent with some deliciousness in it and a trace of that expensive distinctive French perfume from your grandma's vanity" (in a good sense). And it reminds me of fall foliage when it just starts to fall and the grass is still green, - that softly sweet earthy sunny smell. Most prominent note for me is sweet-tart plum jam with myrrh and a hint of cloves, constantly accompanied by soft vanilla (I know vanilla is not listed, perhaps it's a combination of davana-geranium-...))) Also, I could imagine some earthy, moist and pinch metallic smells rising from the Seine and the city. Strangely enough, I don't smell rose at all. Maybe it's what binds all other ingredients together and unifies them, giving the stage to all this richness. I'm used to rose essential oil, and rose in Floraiku's "In the Dark", but I don't see any rose in this. Overall, it's a well-balanced scent, warmer and softer on my skin, and more tart-herbal-zesty on the clothes. And it really puts you in a light and courageous mood, no dark clouds there. Edit: on the drydown, it smells like natural dry soap with some aromatic sweetness in it.

Ok. I'm not going to even look at what anyone has written about this perfume. I'm not going to cheat and look at notes. I am going to go off what I am smelling, after spraying a sample. An overpowering rose. Kind of milky, rosy. Muskiness. Muskiness with rosiness. Full rose, quite strong, very rosy; milky, rosy, musky. And a bubblegum kind of smell, like a strawberry bubblegum, mixed with rose and musk. Some plastic in the bubblegum, maybe from the wrapper, and it combines plastic with strawberry as the third dominant note. A faint hint of something herbal, very faint, just enough to cut into the sweetness and the floweriness of the notes. The perfume registers young, feminine, casual, sensual. Think of a gorgeous, long hair blonde woman in Southern California who just came from swimming in the ocean. She is tanned and very casual and throws an oversized cotton sweater over her swimsuit and then she towel dries her hair and sprays this perfume under her sweater. She walks barefoot onto the wood deck, pours herself a cold glass of white wine, and curls into a comfortable wicker loveseat and looks out to the ocean. That is what I get from this perfume.

The intimidating metallic scent of the Eiffel Tower, passing through the crimson Parisian cabarets, then Amélie Poulain's apple stalls... Dominant Notes: Rose, Plum Wine Umeshu 梅酒, Blood Orange, Davana Secondary Notes: Apple, Geranium Subtle Notes: Incense, Myrrh, Vetiver, Mandarin Non-existent Notes: Leather, Guaiac, Patchouli Deeply cinematic, suspended on the cold aldehydic iron and steel beams. Striking at the opening, it's a metallic and humid Rose, representing of the Iron Lady. Before moving on the subdued lights of the Moulin Rouge, burlesque but contemporary. It's fruity and slightly sweet, like the green skin of an overripe mango, before the Takara Umeshu plum wine finally reveals itself, earthy and mysterious. It’s the Franco-Japanese union that evokes the purple night lights of the Pont Alexandre III, but also the scarlet tōrō lanterns (灯籠) of Yamaga. A powerful and unique fragrance, halfway between iron and velvet, between Paris and Tokyo...

The first thought that struck me was, “OMG it DOES smell like PARIS.” It just smells like the bathroom soap of a fancy hotel or a fancy resto, like the whiff of air when you’re passing designer clothes shops, like someone’s perfume when you’re walking around touristy places or sitting in a terrace, like...Paris Otherwise for me it’s citrus with apple with some jam and plum and something herbal and some rose and oils of myrrh and indeed a bit of leather accord and cashmere... smth like that It’s more complicated than most Floraïku in terms of composition But not sure it’s my thing - can’t shake the fancy bathroom soap in Paris vibe...

I thought I would copy and paste this without autocorrect I am testing out I dream of Paris for the first time. I'm not quite sure how I feel I'm at it. I love the fruit and I'm a fan as many rows fragrances. It is the weather that throws me off. I'm trying to understand why they put it in there. Maybe they're thinking about French purses horseshoes or something along those lines. I am not a sound of leather fragrances anyway. I don't know. Invite be growing on me. It certainly is unique as I am not smell anything I get a whore. I don't know where I was is either.

This is such an interesting perfume. It’s heavy on rose and green notes, the patchouli is beautifully blended in this fragrance. It feels very whimsical to me, I don’t know why. Makes me think of a spring night in the city while a bit tipsy and dancing in the street with your date, preferably in Paris. Kissing your date in a garden under the stars. That’s what this perfume smells like to me, very romantic and whimsical.

For some reason, to me, this smells like pine resin and rose (in a good way!). Reminds me of summer on the coast of the Mediterranean not so much of Paris.

A candy rose fragrance.. very sweet.. its cold weather fragrance..

This is basically Delina Jr. The opening is a bit different - in Delina, I get very heavy nutmeg on the open with an undercurrent of rose. IDOP has what I can only describe as "rose-scented Yankee Candle" with just a hint of Axe body spray underneath. This is not a compliment. I have been working my way through the Floraiku discovery set and this was the first scent that felt really clunky to me - not refined and smooth like the others. On dry down, it's a lot nicer. It settles into a gentler copy of Delina - nutmeg and Turkish rose. I find Delina cloying and overwhelming in the drydown, so I much prefer IDOP's lighter take. Still, I won't wear this one again.

This might be someone else's cup of rose blend.. Smells like a musty rose, mixed with that smell you get at a craft store. I am in my late thirties and I think it is almost too mature? It is not a vintage, it is unique. I feel like this would smell lovely on someone warm and kind, a bit more mature (50+) or my age or younger who loves rose perfume and has a soft disposition. It is an expensive fragrance, not a blind buy.

This smells like a boring old lady. Spicy, loud, unattractive. Whoever named it must really hate Paris.

A very balmy, fruity, and green rose. Quite interesting and complex. Defo feeling that goosberry, we used to grow them in our alltoment and they do have this distinctive tart greenness to them. I'm not sure this one is for me, the myrh is very present to my nose here and I'm a bit offish about this note. Slightly coca cola esque undertones.
