But for now, let me enjoy these last moments of summer warmth, the nostalgia for a summer that was too short and faded too quickly. It gives Cardamom, Clove and Cinnamon even though there's none of that in the notes. It resembles a "tea" version of Vanille Fatale (2017) by Tom Ford. A subtle spicy and aromatic evolution...

I hemmed and hawed about buying a bento box of this but after I ran through 4 samples I knew I’d eventually give in. The ginger opening last for hours and is light and sparkling on the nose. I don’t get much of the lavender. The date and immortelle kick in before the ginger settles down. The date adds some sweet depth and I get some curry like spice from the immortelle which stays strong throughout the wear which may be because it builds into the cinnamon spice peru balsam. All of it is rounded off with a hearty dose of vanilla tho with my chemistry the vanilla never really becomes a star or is even immediately noticeable, it’s more of a background player adding depth and texture.

Do I think it’s a gorgeous fragrance? Absolutely. Do I think it’s worth the price point? Yes and no. If you really want it then get it but you can also find something equally beautiful at a more budget friendly level. This perfume has gotten me quite a few compliments. It’s soft but noticeable and feels like walking outside on the grass that has been slightly frozen by the first cold nights during autumn. You can smell that someone has just baked fresh ginger cookies and it brings a small smile on your face. 4.3/5

This is very warm, spicy comforting scent that is just perfect for A/W. It really is beautiful, but to me, the warm spicy section of the market is just a bit over saturated. It's a little spicier than Tobacco Vanille, but is very much the same DNA (it is actually closer to a Saltworks frag called Tabac Soleil). Do try it, there is a great chance you will love it. As ever, the presentation is utterly gorgeous, and it is truly decadent. Do you need it? Alot will depend what else you have from the same section. It won't be an FB buy for me because I already have a handful and just can't justify it.

I got a sample because of the notes and I thought ....what could be wrong? I can only smell pickles in a creamy vanilla ice cream, it is weird and disgusting. It is not for me

Something is giving me a vinegar vibe...maybe the lavender and ginger. Don't like.

Not too interesting. Comforting and soft. Actual notes from the website are: Top: Lavender essence diva, fresh Ginger essence Madagascar Heart: Immortelle absolute, Date accord Base: Vanilla bean CO2, Peru balsam The peru balsam was way more prevalent than I had anticipated, making the scent turn pretty dominantly wood-smelling on me.

Was able to smell this at harrods and it was amazing a truly perfect ginger fragrance in my eyes.
