Electric Rhubarb

100% one of my favorite perfumes ever! 😍 I smelled it a few years ago in the sample set in an advent calendar. I was instantly drawn to the name, and it was love at first sniff. I purchased it as quickly as I could. I think I'm onto my third bottle now? It's perfect for me; it's sweet and tart while being fresh and fruity. It smells effervescent and sparkly, almost like a delicious fruity spritzer in the summer. 🍹 While the marine accords are so refreshing, it smells like when someone has been outside on a windy day and come inside, and you can smell the fresh air off of them. It doesn't give off marine in a salty seaweed way; it's like pure fresh air with tangy, tart rhubarb. I love wearing this so much! I wear it all year round but especially love it in the spring and summer; it makes me happy wearing it. I recommend this to anyone interested! 10/10 On me it lasts all day and just subtly fades away so nicely.

I've had this for a while now, when I bought this, Electric Rhubarb was still not in the database, so glad that it does now. Perfect for spring, Electric rhubarb opens with crisp rhubarb, a fresh and juicy one, and then it evolves into floral territory, which in my nose lead by frangipani, it resembles the vibe of a sweet tuberose a bit. In the dry down it moves to the unisex territory with the adition of woody aspect. it stays long but with only moderate to weak projection. It's a pleasant offering, something that we wear casually, certainly not for evening dress up event.

I purchased the discovery set and was highly disappointed in all the scents other than this one. I've now upgraded to a full size. Electric rhubarb is stunning. It's lightweight, zingy and fresh . Ideal for spring and summer . It's like a fruity prosecco on a hot day. I don't pick up the frangipani at all and was surprised it was listed in the notes. The rhubarb , sea salt and gardenia are the strongest notes I pick up. The longevity is surprisingly good. I could still smell in my hair 6 hours later

A lovely crisp, marine fragrance for summer. The sea notes and salt are definitely the strongest notes for me. I also get a bit of a floral sweetness, I can’t really pick out a particular flower but it gives it more of a soft feminine character rather than being too briny or masculine. Great if you want a summer scent that’s not coconutty or tropical. Decent sillage and longevity.

She is what Sailing Day wanted to be. It's perfectly salty, fresh, and feminine. A native of the spring/summer period but the transitional months that are still winter and not enough spring create an incredible cold breeze that awakens better than refrigerated 24k gold eye patches. Or cucumbers. Pair with your favourite sailor stripe Brandy Melville. 8/10

I've sampled other floral street fragrances and I enjoyed them but this one quickly became my favorite one. It is fresh at first but I find the florals come out during the dry down but there is something addicting about it where I couldn't stop smelling my wrists. The longevity isn't the best but it doesn't bother me to reapply this beauty.

This was one of those rare love att first sniff perfumes for me. It's just so easy to put on, every day any time. Nothing special or challenging about it, just easy. Sweet, fruity, fresh and floral, and I'm not into perfumes that is to floral but this one I just the right amount. Lovely, oh so lovely.

It’s not what I expected. I thought perhaps it would be watery and green but it’s not at all. Smells very familiar but I can’t place it - like fabric softener or linen spray. I swear I smell white musk in there. As it dries the gardenia is up front and center, pretty much all I can smell is GARDENIA.

I’m baffled by the low ratings on Electric Rhubarb, I find it sweet, fresh, young, and quite lovely. Yes it’s not niche quality or too exciting, but gosh... it is a good little perfume for spring and summer and I would not mind owning a full bottle.

I love rhubarb, so I really like this tart fruity musk - it kinda reminded me of candy. The saltiness adds a really nice edge. Just wish it lasted longer and had more sillage.

I wear this to the swimming pool every week. Perfectly suited for that purpose.

This has got to be one of my top 3 floral street scents. It's the only scent of theirs that doesn't smell synthetic and give me an irritated nose! Yay! It smells very aquatic and clean, really reminds of me of YSL Y, except less aldehydic and "vibrant" and more streamlined, and a touch less masculine. The rhubarb isn't very strong to me but it gives a bit of green-ness in the opening, which is well complimented by the white florals. This isn't a super floral fragrance in my opinion though, it leans way more aquatic. The sea notes and sea salt are giving it a breezy freshness. It's not a very complex fragrance, but it's very interesting to me, I haven't smelled anything like it before. Not fully in the category of "your skin but better" but it's getting there for me, I do wear it at home. I put this on when I'm done tidying up and I want to really feel clean and fresh. It makes me feel like I'm in a cloud, in a clean, ironed, white shirt, floating over the sea and inhaling the oceanic breeze, and a gentle waft of soft white flowers flows past every now and then. It makes me feel the same way as looking at perfectly clean and polished glass reflecting a clear blue sky. Also extremely work appropriate, and would be great for the spring and summer. I might get a large size of this one.

I have to say, these Floral Street fragrances start off empressive and either stay just as delightful or develop into something even better! So so many other fragrances make you wait, or sometimes suffer, for two to twenty minutes before revealing what it will be like for the next four to eight hours. Not these! Or the opposite is true. Many fragrances are so pretty when first sprayed and then just completely disappear or change into something very lackluster. Electric Rhubarb is perfect for a day when you want something light and airy without being the citrus. It instantly has a nice projection that the wearer can smell and enjoy without having to sniff where they sprayed. If you tend to only like traditionally female marketed scents, you may not appreciate the marine note as it is front and center. It's not marine in the seaweed or caviar way, but rather watery fresh way. If you are a guy that typically only likes male marketed fragrances, but want to try something new that isn't "girly" by being fruity sweet or too floral, try this! I personally think this would smell really nice on anyone.

I actually quite like this, I haven't enjoyed Floral Street fragrances very much, but this is my favourite. There's certainly some rhubarb, with a nice little bit of tartness. Not authentic rhubarb, more of just a fresh fruitiness. Some vague white florals too, that luckily aren't heavy. It's got a bit of salt, I'm glad it's there, because other-wise this would definitely lean a bit too candy-like. Underneath is some vague sweet woodiness and a bit of musky powder. With that being said, it's very much 'teenage girl' and quite simple. But I think that's ok, it's fun and fresh. It's over-priced for what it is, smells like it should be about $20. VERDICT: Youthful, energetic and harmless. Pleasantly surprised. Would happily spray this and go to the beach.

I think the smell is quite sweet, and definitely a beach-type perfume. I bought the Floral Street discovery set from Mecca and I'm glad I only got the discovery set. While some of the scents are nice (I like sweet perfumes), I do find that the entire range has this strong synthetic smell that kind of just "sits there." I can't quite explain it, but I'm not taken on a sophisticated scent journey that I have experienced with other brands, such as Maison Francis Kurkdjian, or even TOCCA. Nonetheless, this was one of the scents that I liked out of the discovery set, but I would probably wear it casually during the day, and to the beach.

This is lovely but it’s a fragrance I do have to overspray to appreciate. I received this in a giveaway and it’s the last one I had to try. It didn’t disappoint and is top 2 out of all of them IGot to try. This is a lovely summer fragrance for those who want a beachy smell but want to stay away from coconut. It’s sweet and the salt note just gives it that little twist that means i don’t have anything else like this in my collection. I’d definitely consider upgrading to a bottle of this it’s one of the standouts from the brand.

I usually shy away when I see rhubarb as a note. I gave away L’imperatrice because of that. So I was nervous testing Electric rhubarb but wow! The flowers makes it very discreet. It’s fresh but I wouldn’t say marine fresh. Also sweet but not too sweet. This house are skilled when it comes to this! Flowers and gourmands perfectly blended and therefore not cloying. I also pick up the salt note which really suits this scent (opposite of olympea) and it’s overall delicious! Recommend :)

Fresh, light, beautiful. Smells luxurious. Gonna pick up a full sized bottle of it as its in my top three of the testers, alongside vanilla orchid and wonderland peony (of course). I don’t really get the sandalwood or any peppery notes as other users have said, I get a lot of “green”, white florals, a lot of aquatic vibes, and the rhubarb sourness all throughout (but its balanced by the sea notes!). Unfortunately it just doesn’t have a lot of silage and doesn’t last well.

another unusual scent pick for me. again i like warm leathery or sugary scents. just strong and musky bases. this is so vibrant and electric like its name. its bubbly and gives me nostalgic memories from a house i had in 2016. oddly specific, i really love this but it could last longer. my only issue is that as much as i love this and enjoy smelling it id rather sit there and smell it in the bottle over and over again whilst wearing another perfume on my skin.

This is a truly unisex fragrance in my opinion. It’s nice and inoffensive. All the fragrances I smelled so far from Floral Street smell nice but subtle, which is good I guess if you’re in an enviroment where you can’t wear something stronger, or you just don’t want to wear something stronger. I usually do prefer a fragrance that lasts a bit longer and projects better but I still like these perfumes.

the name is really misleading since it has lots of clean, aquatic notes. it's like chilling in a swimming pool surrounded by jasmine and frangipani on a hot and slightly humid summer day. the downside is that, like most perfumes from the floral street, it's very nauseating at the beginning and despite that, it doesn't last long. overall, it's a good summer fragrance.

This reminds me so much of Madame by JPG, which also reminds me of nights out and partying in my 20’s. The performance of this scent compared to other Floral Street scents is impressive - I can still smell it strongly 6 hours later. Moderate sillage. If I saw this on a good deal I’d buy.

I am knocked over by this! I am thrilled by the rhubarb - love rhubarbs - and can not get over how rhubarbery it is. Slowing down to a sweet musk. I feel punkt and sasdy with this. Rhubarbs never done that to me before so something must be right...

I like it! It’s a bit childish and synthetic, but will immediately rise your mood! Lots of salty, fruit and sweet notes. Sounds questionable, but smells quite good and unconventional. Follow me on IG: scent.guide

This is a delight. Has a gentle warmth from sandalwood. With a sea air note. It isn’t very floral more refreshing, crisp, clean and fresh. Suitable for office wear. Summer friendly. I really like this perfume.

This is such a beautiful mix of notes, very cheerful and fresh. The value for money, however, is not great as I had to reapply basically every 1-2 hours as the longevity and the sillage are both quite poor.

Tested it yesterday in the shop. It is sour rhubarb and flowers. It is nice but not WOW.

reading through the other reviews, i'm glad to see that I'm not alone in thinking Electric Rhubarb is light on the rhubarb. For me, this isn't the worst thing- as much as I love rhubarb in desserts, in fragrances it tends to not agree with me. In absence of the rhubarb, i find this fragrance incredibly cool and aquatic, with a sweetness in the opening that dissipates almost immediately. This is probably not a great reference point- i doubt anybody will know what I'm talking about, but electric rhubarb smells almost exactly like a bath and body works scent circa 1997 called Pacific Bluff. I used to have the hand sanitizer which I loved with all my heart, applying with gusto until I looked closely at the label and noticed that it was emblazoned with a little bitty home-depot stencil-font stamp which said"for men." As a 10 year old girl, this was basically the most mortifying thing that could have happened to me (oh how times have changed...), and I hid the bottle away in shame. anyway, Electric Rhubarb is damn near a dupe for Pacific Bluff- a little citrus/vegetal/aquatic, extremely blended, and yes, a bit masculine, but not overly so. I also agree with others who have called the experience brief. Within 2 hours, electric rhubarb has nearly disappeared.

I treated myself to a set of floral street samples when they were on special offer. This one is not one of my favourites. There's nothing wrong with the quality at all, it just isn't my cup of tea. It starts off loud and strong with a blast of rhubarb then a fresh green smell mixed in with strong white florals. It's a bit too in your face for me and just not to my taste. I like the dry down better than the opening, it softens to a kindy of golden floral slightly marine scent. It lasts longer on clothing. If you're in to florals with a fresh aquatic edge then give it a go. I think all of the floral street range need tested though, no safe blind buys here.

This is an amazing mix of tangy fruit and powdery notes. It's not too sweet, yet it makes me think of some sort of tangy sherbert or candy necklace (not the exact scent of a candy necklace, but if they made a rhubarb version) The florals peek through the tangy powdery opening and the salt starts appearing in the drydown. It does loose some of it's tangy aspects as it dries down. But it remains a lovely powdery rhubarb candy at the beach. Very well balanced everyday fragrance for me.

you're out on the boardwalk on a hot, breezy summer day and decide to stop by the saltwater taffy shop. you open the door to the shop where they are cleaning the floors and the smell of the soap, taffy, salt, and summer air hit you all at once! that is this scent. highly perplexing but i can't exactly say i hate it.

Something about this really smells like window cleaner at first. It could be the rhubarb mixing with the aquatic notes that make it almost a lemon scent. It is nice and fresh though once it dries down. It's quite pleasant but doesn't last more than an hour or two. Would work better as a home fragrance

This is a very "blue" scent and definitely feels more unisex than others from this line. It becomes powdery pretty quickly on me, but it continues to feel fresh due to the "sea notes." This is one that I will probably pass over to my husband because it's a bit too "masculine" for me.

Salty, fruity florals. Aquatic and aromatic. Great idea They were going for a niche scent profile and missed the mark. This belongs on discount shelves at TJ Maxx. Not to say that it’s bad. Just nothing very special. One step above cheap soap. Too synthetic and harsh.

I feel I have smelled this before, but I can’t quite place where. It’s a tad more masculine (maybe the marine notes) than I expected, but it reminds me of a saltier mix of L’imperatrice and L’interdit in the beginning, but once it dried down it was mainly marine.

This is a fairly pleasant, fresh, floral scent. The marine notes come through in the dry down. I don't get much rhubarb. Not overly sweet, aquatic, powdery or floral. It's well balanced and subtle. Non-offensive. But it's not particularly interesting.

Why does this make me feel like I’m in a cloud of limes? It’s nice, whatever the note is- but not something that fits my fragrance profile. 3 hours longevity on me. Non-offensive, but modern & unique. Mild sillage beyond the first 30 minutes.

Definitely giving Bath & Body Works vibes. A more grown up, oceanic and powdery version of Poppy. Doesn’t last long and not super remarkable but still nice and unoffensive. It makes a good end of summer/early fall scent

I can pick up the rhubarb straight away, but when a fragrance contains calone (or similar notes), it completely takes over and I struggle to smell anything else. Unfortunately, I’ll have to pass.

I'm weirdly loving the rhubarb in this with floral. I find it quite citrusy and refreshing. Just no longevity unfortunately

Wow white florals remind me of sweden a little big tangy with the rhubarb but mostly florals

“Spicy soapy florals” is what came to mind when I first sprayed this. I’m surprised there are aquatic notes listed and salt because my nose didn’t pick up either notes until I looked here. I can smell the salt now, but it’s not very refined. I wouldn’t turn to this fragrance if I wanted something salty. This isn’t bad by any means, but it’s not elegant. I want something with a better blend and that just smells better. I used about half of my sample with my one application. Electric Rhubarb is nice enough to wear again, but after that I’ll be content never smelling this again. This scent reminds me of a Victoria’s Secret scent, but I’m not sure which specific one. This is the third Floral Street fragrance that reminds me of Victoria’s Secret. I expected more originality, but maybe jokes on me. Wonderland Peony remains my favorite and the most unique. edit 1/4/2023: Second time wearing this and it's ok. The salt reminds me of the sexy salty musk from Clean Reserve Skin but with some florals and fruity notes. It's still not a love by any means, but I don't dislike it as much as I did last year when I tested it out.

Now I did try this in a shop, on a strip and it was busy, and those kinds of distractions coupled with olfactory fatigue probably not the best conditions to give a good review. I love rhubarb and accord in perfume, and the fact it was 'electric' rhubarb I was expecting something really tart and bittersweet, but no. I don't recognise any of my favourite rhubarb materials in this, I got a kind of fruity effect but very strange. This is a weird perfume and an instant dislike. I'm not surprised it's been compared to Womanity. (I didn't get that association personally but I don't like either if that counts?) Sorry this is such a poor review not up to my usual standards. I will revisit this and update. :)
