Sunflower Pop

Fleeting, Fizzy, Bitter Citrus, Hint of Sweet, Freshie This scent represents its inspiration perfectly! If a sunflower had a smell and Van Gogh's painting was bottled as a fragrance, it would be this scent. It makes me feel like twirling with arms wide open through a sunflower field as the sun warms my face during golden hour (You know that cliché Instagram photo every influencer in the 2010s posted - it's that feeling but through an olfactory instead of a visual medium). It is bright, bouncy, optimistic, carefree, and oh so likeable. It also brought to mind the grapefruit soda, Squirt. If you smell Squirt it does not directly smell like this perfume, obviously. . .but this perfume smells like that soda tastes. It is photorealistic grapefruit soda scent. I see some comments referring to this scent as unimaginative and banal but please consider that this scent was not made to make you think or go on a wild adventure. This scent was made to cheer you up and make you feel free and full of possibility. From this perspective, the fragrance meets and exceeds that goal. This scent was meant to be your freshie BFF, not meant push your limits. BFFs are familiar, lovely, always there for you, and always down for a good time just like this perfume. I personally LOVE this scent, but I am huge citrus and freshie fan. What I don't love is the longevity. Since freshies often revolve around citrus they often have lower longevity performance but this one is very low when compared to other freshie fragrances of the same quality and price point. This one fades to a skin scent after 1-2 hours on my skin and about 3-4 hours on my clothes. I have other freshie EDPs that cost $125/100 ml (3.4 oz) and last 4-6 hours on skin and 6-8 hours on clothes. This one will run you $178/100 ml, therefore the cost to performance ratio is not worth a full bottle in my opinion. If this was priced under $100/100 ml like some good quality EDTs, then I would consider this worth it. Great alternatives that smell very similar for less: 1. Zurai By Virtue of Sunbeams - ETD concentration for $89/100 mls + $32 shipping to US at time of writing this ($121 total). Performance of this ETD is on par with the EDP concentration of #2 and both significantly outperform Sunflower Pop in terms of longevity and projection. I tested all 3 on my skin on the same day under the same weather and conditions. 2. Kerosene Summer of '84 - EDP concentration for $152/100 mls + free shipping to US. Sunflower Pop is the most fresh, uplifting, citrus, fruity floral scent I’ve sampled in a long time. Mandarine, bergamot, peach, passion fruit, plum flowers and a sweet thick honey combined together create this wonderful scent. Simple, realistic smelling and mouth watering! Sunshine in a bottle! Sunflower Pop reminds me of a sunny day in Italy or Spain when you’re in a upscale restaurant with the most delicious, refreshing and colourful fruity cocktail in hand and you just enjoy life. Or maybe you find yourself in an outdoor, sun lit, fruit market where they sell the most juicy, mouthwatering tropical fruits and local grown citruses and you just want to try them all! This is the mood that Sunflower Pop puts me in! Care free summertime in the South.. It could be an absolute glorious summer scent for me if it perform a bit better. But it’s kind of a skin scent with minimal projection that lasts for about 4 hours on skin. On clothing it’s so much more powerful, I can smell it the next day! The bottle is absolutely my kind of aesthetic. Bright, vibrant, colourful, sunny, clean cut see through glass bottle! My very first time trying Floral Street and I am intrigued to sample more of their creations. I find myself very tempted to get a bottle of this for next summer if I can get it for a decent price. Will update if that happens. Edit April 2024: managed to get a full size bottle for half off. So happy to have Sunflower Pop just in time for summer season!

From the first spray, I immediately was reminded of Atelier Cologne Clementine California. I decided to wear both back to back to compare and had someone else smell both. Sunflower Pop does have a sweeter, more peach opening from the bellini accord. That is something unique that I don't have anywhere else in my perfume collection (around 150+ scents). Besides that opening, it smells very similar to Clementine California except Clementine California is slightly more unisex and spicy. The other person I had sniff them did say they were different enough that you could have both. If you like one, you'll most likely enjoy the other! I found it only lasts a few hours maximum. This is less than I like, but I find most citrus-heavy scents are pretty fleeting as citrus is a perfume ingredient that evaporates the fastest. You can't really blame Floral Street since that's just where perfume chemistry is right now! This scent would be best for spring/summer. I enjoy the packaging too with the Vincent Van Gogh art on it.

Got this just over a week ago - I have quite a few other Floral Street frags and not been disappointed yet, and this is no exception. This is a really happy, uplifting fragrance, refreshing and slightly green, it brings a smile to my face. The standout notes on my skin are the bergamot, bellini & amber. The bergamot starts of quite strong, but not overpowering, and lingers throughout the journey, which surprised me. After about 30-45 mins, the bellini bubbles up with the bergamot, and remains there for the next 2-3 hours. The bellini then starts to lose it's 'fizz' and gives way to the soft amber/honey blend, and as the last of the bergamot softens and fades gently, the warm amber/honey stays very close to the skin for a further 3-4 hours. I have to admit I'm not a huge fan of citrus scents, as they barely register on my skin, but this lasts, and is a very well blended concoction.

Sunflower Pop lives up to its name alright... this is a bright, zesty, punchy citrus with a some booziness and a touch of iris. I'd describe this as being the colour of a neon yellow marker in scent form - I adore citrus and even I think this is strong! That, at least, translates into staying power though; I tend to reapply around the 4 hour mark which is pretty great for a citrus perfume. I genuinely can't think of anything I've ever tried that's remotely similar, because this is so sour and bitter it's like I'm actively sipping on a cocktail. There's plenty out there with the astringency of lemon, or the juiciness of lime, or even the bitterness of orange but trust me, none of it is quite like this. The only downside is I only ever reach for this in the summer, so I don't know if I want to commit to a FB or just keep buying the travel sizes.

I got to smell this in the store today, and I absolutely love it with my whole heart! It’s amazing; sure, maybe not super duper complex, but I’m not really looking for that in a citrusy summer scent anyway. I’m obsessed; my mother and my sister both also got to smell it, and they both agreed that it’s wonderful. We all have very contrasting tastes when it comes to perfumes, so I’m surprised we found one we all agree on.I don’t have the money currently, but I’m definitely getting a full bottle so I’m ready for this summer! So far I’d say this is one of the best citrus perfumes I’ve smelt; it’s just so bright and pretty while being tangy and juicy. I love it! Very yummy and edible; it doesn't give off that air freshener vibe other citrus fragrances give off. Definitely happiness and sunshine in a bottle.

I'm not sure I've smelled a peach Bellini fragrance before. Wow, do I like this. It evokes a fruit punch--liquid, lush, and sweet-- and the atmosphere of a cheerful, tropical party, perhaps a Caribbean-themed prom where everyone wins a crown. It's fun and youthful, absolutely moodlifting and attractive although in addition to wearing it out, I feel Sunflower Pop could be worn at home to calm down and reduce anxiety. It can still be charmingly uplifting in a quiet setting. It skews to the feminine side of unisex because it's so sweet, but I have no issues wearing it. I don't have the best nose, so after the peach Bellini faded I couldn't detect much of the base notes. If you love sweet, fruity, tropical fragrances, you will want to try this, especially if you enjoy peach.

I'm seriously obsessed with this! It smells so good! It smells a little alcoholish when you first spray it, but it fades really quickly into a beautiful citrus. You can definitely pick out the Bellini and Mandarin orange, and the orange smells really authentic and fresh! After some time the florals come out more and you get to enjoy it all blending together and it almost smells like some kind of nice scented hair product. Definitely a feminine scent. It smells really bright and fun like I expected, while still maintaining a mature feeling. It didn't last very long for me and I ended up having to reapply it during the day, but for the price point, I'm not too worried about it. I would totally recommend it!

Happiness in a bottle! Instant love! This immediately brightens your whole person inside and out. The top notes of orange, bergamot and passionfruit burst out of the gates for the first 15 minutes, then the blossom and honey emerge to soften it out. Sadly, the SLP doesn't exceed two hours on my skin, but I overspray this and into my hair to extend it up to 6 hours. I overlook this flaw because this is so uplifting....I could break out into a dance. I wear this for my own pleasure! If you like bright citrus scents, give this a go! I received this as a sample and have recently purchased a full bottle, which is beautiful as well.

This is my sixth scent from floral street, it has become one of my top perfume houses and that's not because they make one of a kind special, intricate or complex fragrances. But they make nice, lovely, easy going everyday scents that I really get along with. Every perfume I have from them has a "I know this from something" kind of feeling and they make me feel comfortable and "at home" if you know what I mean. Sunflower pop is sweet, fruity and juicy. Makes my mouth water, is smells like a drink taste like. Lovely and perfect for summer 😊👌🏻

I got a disco set. Ordered at Mecca 2 weeks ago and it finally arrived due to 'warehouse system upgrade'. I heard it's a bright and lovely citrusy scent. It leans more towards mandarin, definitely sweet other than sour, and dries down to a bit musky. I think I got a bit pineapple, but it's not in the ingredient. It's a simple, modern scent. It just like a glass of bellini; it makes you happy, like lying on a beach with a cocktail at hand. I love it! A few sprays cheer me up. I'll probably get a bottle. It's a bit pricy though.

Sunflower Pop is a fragrance I loved from first spritz. The opening is so bright and happy - just full of semi-sharp fizzy citrus, including mandarin and lemon. As it settles there is a bit of a tea note, which I love. The florals emerge in the dry down but are never overpowering. This is such a fresh, zingy scent, perfect for hot summer days (or to remind you of summer in deepest, darkest winter!) My only complaint is that it fades a little too quickly, but I suppose it’s always possible to reapply...

I love both this perfume and Tangerine Boy, but I wouldn't say they smell very alike. I do think they have some similar notes, but give different vibes/impressions. Tangerine Boy has a zingy orange soda topnote and then more spicy, warm middle and bottom notes while Sunflower Pop is a more straightforward fruity, zesty citrus scent. To my nose Sunflower Pop feels a cleaner, sweeter, and happier, and more conventionally feminine, while Tangerine Boy is more flirty, sexy and leans unisex.

This is bright and uplifting. Almost energizing. Happiness in a bottle. I wish it lasted longer...uggh. I do not agree that someone said 'grandma'. If anything, some may find this a bit 'youthful' for their taste. EDIT: For those claiming that this smells like household cleaning products, please share what brand/product you're cleaning your house with. This is such a cheerful perfume, I have never smelled any 'cleaner' this nice. I wish this came in a shower gel / body oil.

As soon as I smelled this I instantly went "mmmmmmmmmmm" lol it's a very yummy citrus scent. I bought this as a blind buy for my birthday because I love Van Gogh and I'm really glad I did because this is so delicious and exactly the kind of citrus I would go for. It strange because it definitely smells like Grapefruit, even though Grapefruit isn't one of the notes lol I think maybe the passion fruit and the mandarin orange together make it smell like Grapefruit? Idk lol

I love this! It’s so different from everything else I own. I tried a sample of this and just had to get a full bottle. The top notes (mandarin, bergamot, and passionfruit) give off a lemony vibe. The plum blossom and bellini in the heart are just *chefs kiss* 🤌🏻 If the longevity were better, this would be flawless. Gorgeous, tropical fun fragrance for spring and especially summer. This is my first Floral Street perfume, and I can’t wait to try Wonderland Peony next.

Finished my sample from discovery set with a great pleasure, thinking of buying at least 10ml travel bottle. It is nice and light summer fragrance, has nothing to do with sunflowers though, it is a great boozy citrus, to me it smells a lot like an Aperol Spritz. But as always with citrus, the longevity is pretty small. For that price point does not seem like that much of a deal, I'm willing to reapply it through the day every now and again.

This is such a beautiful & unique scent, I actually can’t see who designed it but to my nose, and my daughter’s (who is 11) it’s really like sunshine in a bottle. We were told in the Mecca store that it was designed like Van Gogh was looking for happiness w his colours & this perfume was supposed to bring that to people in lockdown around the world. To uplift:) , I love when fragrances can do that.

Absolutely love love love this, but there’s no longevity. I haven’t tried a single perfume from this brand yet that actually lasts, which makes me thankful I’ve only purchased the small sprays. This smells so lovely, it’s a bright, sweet juicy orange and passionfruit scent. It’ll make you smile for sure, it’s like sunshine in a bottle. If this lasted longer it would be a favourite.

Floral street produces some of the most under appreciated fragrances. This is a bright citrus, but without feeling overdone. This is not your D & G lemony citrus. This is a zesty orangey citrus, but without smelling like an air freshener. It does not have beastly performance, but it does last very well on me. I love the brand as a whole, black lotus deserves a place in a shrine.

My biggest complaint about almost all perfumes, is that they "smell like perfume." This is one of the first scents I've found in no way has that standard "perfumey" smell. I love it, so nice and fresh, perfect opening and dry down, nothing that could be headache inducing, bright, lively, a touch sweet. I've gone through two sample vials and am ready for the full bottle.

I didn't think I would like this at first but now I love it, it's one that people comment on at work when they are close to me, lecturers and students like it. It's a happy, bright and smile inducing perfume, it's sparkly, citrus and sweet with a floral hint, I reach for it often now, I just wish it lasted longer, it's definitely one to respray throughout the day.

I recommend this to any fellow passionfruit lover! It is a strong juicy citrus with strong passionfruit notes that I am in love with. So fresh and fun, but sweet at the same time. Summer time in a bottle. Like all citrus scents, this doesn't last all day but it is the most perfect mood booster. One of my favourite scents in my collection.

This is my favorite Floral Street scent! It is pure passion fruit bellini goodness. I don’t think I’ve ever smelled such a wonderful, distinct passion fruit. This smells like an actual cocktail. I just love it. I am not exaggerating when I say this instantly puts me in a good mood. It’s like a reset button for my brain.

I love Van Gogh and citrus frags so this was an instant blind buy for me. This scent really encapsulates the color yellow. It’s bright, sweet, and smells of happiness. I’m very surprised with how long the scent lasted on me. It survived rain, heat, and humidity with 8+ hours of wear time. Definitely will repurchase.

Is there any dupe of this?if anyone is aware of..is clementine california a dupe for this perfume..i do like it but it's too expensive for the type of scent it got..like it's worth keeping but not worth the price at all....i want it in my collection but don't wanna buy it with that price

Yes, yes, yes! This scent is perfect from beginning to end! It is the smell of camping in the southeast U.S. in August - September: floral, warm, natural happiness. Feminine without being overly sweet or cloying. Familiar without being generic. I will be ordering a full bottle!

This is the color yellow as a scent. It's fresh, bright, and juicy -- without feeling sticky sweet or young. Not the most complex fragrance, but it's lovely and lasts forever on clothes. I've been using it for years now and it's a go-to during spring + summer days.

smells really nice. that passionfruit note is very fitting for summer however, there is no longevity with this perfume literally last like 2 hours and the sillage sits very close to the skin. i have the sample version of this, probably will not buy the full size.

I just received the gift set in the mail today. It smells very similar to Tangerine Boy by Phlur, which I have in a travel size. If you have Tangerine Boy, you may or may not need this depending on how much you like it. Very unisex, great for hot summer weather.

I absolutely love this fragrance. I get it that some people are upset that it doesn't match the name but I don't care. The notes are invigorating, sunny & happy. I think they perfectly match that yellow feeling of sunshine that sunflowers evoke. Absolute love!

I love it, it’s a sharp orange citrus scent perfect for spring and summer. If you don’t like citrus it’s not for you. A touch of vanilla makes it almost creamsicle like at times. I used my voucher from the clean at Sephora sample set to get this.

Got for Christmas! I'm in love with it the first time I smelled it I got a vibe of like a citrus disinfectant which was not good but as it dried down its beautiful sweet lemony and I haven't gotten the disinfectant vibe since!

It's a happy fragrance..i donno what happened but i have been smiling and feeling happy from the moment i sprayed it...its such a light yet good fragrance...i wish it lasted longer and had better sillage

The only way I can really describe this is as zippy! I really enjoy this, but it is a little less mature than I'd like it to be. Still, it's a great bubbly zingy citrus scent.

The happiest perfume in my collection! Decent longevity for the price point. Inoffensive and office safe. I can’t stop sniffing my wrist when I have this on.

oranges and sunshine in just the best way

I tested this in store recently and it really is delicious! The only Floral Street that I really fell for as it felt a tad more original and unusual than the others..... wonderland peony is nice but very sweet and reminds me of other perfumes. This one is straight up Sparkling belini and honey. It really is fabulous when you first smell it - happiness and sunshine in a bottle, which is obviously a perfect match for the Glorious Van Gogh Sunflowers!. I decided not to buy it though. It’s £25 for 10mls and it has no longevity at all. After an hour it had dried down into a very light and slightly boring floral with a bit of wood thrown in. All the exuberance from the opening died after 30 minutes. It’s way too pricey to be so fleeting. If you can afford to respray it every hour then oh my god get it because it’s joy in liquid form! But otherwise I think it’s too expensive for the performance it offers. A real shame as it’s beautiful in the all-to-brief top and middle notes!

Got this as a sample in the mail. Pleasantly surprised, was not expecting anything out of it and got bright citrusy and white floral. The opening reminds me of LB forever pour homme in memory, im sure right next to each other theyd be pretty different, but the way the passion fruit comes across in this smells like the grapefruit used in LB forever. There were a couple people saying that it isnt strong, which I agree, it does not project heavily. That being said, i sprayed it on before i went to bed and could still smell remnants on my skin. Thats the nature of citrusy floral scents, theyre not supposed to project heavily outside of the 30 min - 1 hour after spraying on. And because it is so bright I dont think its possible to overspray. Its unisex but leans feminine, but I could still see myself wearing it on a sunny spring day or a summer morning. Overall i would give it a 7.5/10 and I could see myself upping the rating and buying a full bottle

Literally what has this got to do with sunflowers?? Anyway... This is yet another take on a cheap, heavily fragranced shampoo scent from Floral Street. Identical to a Victoria's Secret body mist. ( The ones in those big plastic spray pump bottles ) That's not necessarily a bad thing, in fact it gives me a twinge of nostalgia. But it does show that the most suited demographic for this is 11-14 year old girls. I actually quite like the scent itself. It's fun, playful and attractive, not a bad reach for a summer scent. There's a juicy, fruitiness here that I quite enjoy. Very sweet but still manages to be fresh and effervescent. But at this price point; it just makes absolutely zero sense. You could get an identical smelling fragrance for $5 in a pharmacy discount bin. VERDICT: I seriously do not understand Floral Street.

What a special collaboration! My first ever blind buy. I was able to snag it through their VIP email list. It sounded like an inoffensive citrus, and it has so many favorites in one: Favorite color, favorite flower, favorite painter. The bottle is beautiful, and it's an affordable brand. I'm surprised they didn't go for more floral, warm notes...since it's sun-flower. I know sunflowers don't naturally have much of a scent, but they could've played with something really warm and grassy to evoke the flowers. This is just citrus atop citrus. I will say: It has amazing longevity for a citrus perfume. It is a direct dupe for Atelier Cologne's Clementine California. If you have that one, you can skip this one. I was grateful I'd traded my bottle of CC for Orange Sanguine a few months back.

Not at all what I was expecting, but in the best way! The opening is definitely my favourite (half hour or so!) of the fragrance: it's a really vibrant scent, and just on the verge of sour. It smells like neon yellow. It's like someone took the passionfruit note out of Angel Muse EDT and put it into Amo Ferragamo. Overall, I think this would be a great gym scent: it pumps you up to get out of the door, and by the time you've started your workout it's moved on to a more muted scent (very similar to Mandarine Basilica), so it won't choke people out. I only have a carded sample vial of this, and I don't think I would buy a full bottle, despite how much I like the look of the bottle. If the fab opening lasted longer? I would definitely buy it.

I love this one. My new favorite Citrus. It was not love at first spray though. On first spray I had immediate regrets, smelled like cleaning products. However, as it settled down I fell in love and will go into my closet just to sniff this one for a pick-me-up. It's SUPER bright and up lifting and maintains that spirit throughout the whole wear. It really smells like a fizzy citrus drink, like cracking open a citrus soda. I really love it and can't wait to wear it in the spring/summer. It doesn't hurt that the bottle is beautiful, it's a shame I can't display it next to a window because it is gorgeous in the sunlight. Longevity is good for a citrus. I get 4-6 hours, more on clothes.

at first, it's a perfect citrus gourmand. bright orange and passionfruit pop out, with additions of some sour grapefruit. smells like those tiktoks of people squeezing juicy oranges in orchards. obsessed after two hours though this smells very soap-y. lavender with fresh citrus. after three hours, this becomes a skin scent as all the specific notes fade away. i don't think this brand lasts very long which is maybe why the Floral Street Employees don't let you bring test strips outside of the store. you can spray it on your skin or smell a test strip that an employee sprayed. a weird policy to me but whatever.
