La Terre

I love the earthiness and aromatic notes in this, I think the absinth or angelica might be what I prefer. It's earthy without being damp, it's peculiar without being weird. It's not at all perfume-y but it still smells really good and wearable. And it lasts all day. I love it. It feels very unisex, I don't get any masculine vibes from this (I'm a woman and dislike any aftershave connotations). It's sadly discontinued... This was a blind buy. I wanted something for autumn, something different than I usually wear, and it was on a good discount. I think it's really unisex, leaning masculine. There is no sweetness, feminity or sensuality in it, for me. The opening is pretty sharp, I'd even say medicinal. It reminds me of a "penicillin" cocktail (that has whisky, ginger and lemon in it). Not unpleasant to my nose, but not an instant "love" for me either. Slightly comforting in a strange way, maybe. Something that reminds me of leather as well (which makes it lean more masculine for me). When it dries down, the sharpness goes away and it keeps a bit of the medicinal (absinthe?), plus something grassy. Almost citrusy but not quite. The longer it's drying, the more patchouli becomes apparent. After an hour or two, that's most of what's left. It's not as strong as some heavy patchouli scents, but it's a lot of patchouli that lingers, plus the more grassy note (vetiver, I suppose). I don't get any specific woody notes and not a lot of warmth either. To me it smells more "yellow" than green, plus patchouli. I wouldn't recommend this as a blind buy unless you're a patchouli lover. But I'm not unhappy with it. I might try layering it with something that has a little more warmth to it.

La Terre = Earth... For patchouli and vetiver lovers. Bold! More for cold days and a man. Roots, leaves, moss, vetiver, patchouli and undergrowth flowers... In fact: raw, wild and powerful but... not my style for me.

This fragrance is something else. The smell is great, wet earthy for me, then i can smell the vetiver and some green in it. For longevity i would give this easily 12+ hrs, im not saying its projects until the end like that but you can smell it if you lean close and i like to vote on it like that, sillage was first moderate and after like 7 hrs or so i was really suprised, it hit me, i could smell it on me really strongly and after 11 hrs or so it smelled like i had just freshly resprayed. Idk what they did to this perfume, maybe im overreacting but definitely worth the money if you like the smell.
