Cefiro

These reviews make me question either: 1) my own sense of smell or 2) whether people just post their review based on the initial smell or sample. Yes it does smell like some sort of a citrus cleaner the first 15-20 minutes. When hasn't a citrus scent been compared to it. But the drydown... man. What a beautiful concoction of spices, mandarin orange and lime on a slightly sweet and creamy base. Lasts well over 7 hours on my skin with a moderate sillage. Excellent for this type of fragrance. I have never smelled CK One so I can't check whether that comparison is justified. If it does smell like it, however, you can't go wrong with that either. Save this for the hottest summer days and let yourself feel clean and refreshed. 8.5/10

Magnifico! I've been looking for soapy scents and this one really delivers the suds. 🧼🫧 I had a bottle of vintage but sent it back as it smelled "off." The current NIB version I purchased instead is wonderfully clean and floral-citrusy. Performance is good; projection could be better but it maintains a close envelope so you'll get very pleasant whiffs for hours. This has some similarities to CK One as they're in the same neighborhood, however, Cefiro is definitely different and stands on its own; I happily have both. Highly recommend.

this is my favorite citrus scent and my signature in the warmer months. the only downside to this fragrance is the longevity/projection is moderate, so i don't get many compliments on it. however, when i smell it on myself i'm immediately comforted and happy. it's perfectly unisex which adds to the maturity of it, making it suitable for day or night. since the projection is weak, i often layer it underneath scents.

Usually scents with citrus as the top notes fall off in an hour, but Cefiro has great longevity. It’s juicy limes just sliced open, the peel, stem and leaves of an orange, the brightness of a grapefruit but not as bitter. It’s scrumptious. It’s a glossy magazine and an expensive suit, inoffensive and very unisex. Loved it enough to buy a FB ❤️

Smells like CkOne by Calvin Klein and Sicily by D&G mixed together. The fresh lightness restraint of CKOne and the finesse and sophistication of Sicily. It's like an exquisite bar soap.

Definitely niche version of CK1, I love it. It's perfect for a hot cloudy day. Performance is as expected to be for a niche soft citrus.

The scent wakes me up and energizes me because all those citrus notes, it reminds me of Mediterranean gardens and I love this.

On me this is musky, exotic and and spicy- not at all citrusy. It has a mysteriousness about it. Love it

Cefiro is the ultimate clean scent, everything about it radiates cleanliness, freshness and elegance. A brief bergamot opening, tart and fresh, leads through a ripe mandarin orange to a floral heart, not really jasmine, more so a composite of rose and lily of the valley-like compounds which fuses with the background musks to form the scent of fresh linens, while also being slightly sweat and pear-like at times. I don't get much spice from it, but definitely a good amount of clean woody cedar forming a backbone together with those clean linen musks. This is the good type of 'fresh out of the shower' scents, no deodorant or shower gel vibe here, just clean old school freshly pressed clothes with the right amount of citrus and floral sweetness. That being said, there is no real 'wow-factor' here, this is a functional scent meant to be worn, not so much to be a part of a collection. Floris fragrances are heavily discounted online, where i live you can easily find the 100ml for under 60 euro, so this is a great gift idea for men, but also a great option as a signature edc type scent.

Based on the notes listed, my expectance for this was actually something in the veins of a classic eau de cologne. The opening with citrus and hints of orange followed by the drydown with some tea, white musk and sandalwood is also quite classic. Strangely enough, I can see that other reviewers find this to lean masculine while the jasmin on my skin mixed with the sweet fruitiness of mandarin is almost overpowering and actually makes it lean feminine - weird! The jasmine gives off a kind of warm and waxy feeling to me and by the way the bottle and package also comes off as rather feminine to me with the bow on the neck, pastel green box and all. I can see why peoply would compare to CK One, as there are quite some similarities, but Cefiro seems to be blended from ingredients of a somewhat higher quality. Performance for a lighter summer scent is excellent, it projects for about 6 hours and I can still smell it on my skin after 12 hours+. My verdict would be that it's a lovely summer scent although I suspect it would smell better on a lady than on me.

My Fragrance Journey #3 My first bottle from Floris, got it at discount. Floris as a brand holds brilliant history dating back to 1730, and is still running bright with the ninth generation. Bottle design is really classy, atomizer is great. The smell will not blow you off, i was little bit disappointed, because i was hoping for something more from a fragrance that costs almost 165 euros for 100ml bottle. Nevertheless it opens with citrus,, wow,,what a suprise... Bergamot and lemon is top notes and they will hold up for the entire fragrance, it doesnt really chance, the opening is what you get throught out the whole fragrance, but it tends to fall to woody notes on the end. Its just really soapy and clean, really well blended with fantastic materials, that arent syntetic. I forgot to mention theres nothing syntetic about this fragrance, it smells REAL! Looking to test more fragrances from this house. Longevity: 5.5/10 Silage:5.5/10 7/10 for me.

I first met this fragrance through its presentation as a conditioning shampoo within the Floris range and was delighted with its subtle, springlike citrus effect - a lovely treat when emerging from the morning shower. In perfume form, Cefiro is initially rather sharp and artificial, like all those lemon-based cleaning products under the kitchen sink. Thankfully it mellows (and doesn't last terribly long), into the same scent I recall from the shower. I look forward to trying it again in the summer months, maybe complementing it with the more robust and multi-layered Acqua di Sicilia from Santa Maria Novella.

Idk how the marketing team let this go to the market because the opening smells truly like a citrus cleaner. Luckily once on the skin it transforms into a soft citrus, white flowers, sandal and woods scent. It’s not very powerful like other Floris which is good for a daily work perfume. I wouldn’t compare it with Ck one which is very different to my nose. It doesn’t have the musk, rose flower aspect to it. It’s more like Acqua Di Parma Colonia Essenza without the neroli note. I wouldn’t pay more than the 50€ I paid for it.

CK One is that you? Very similar to CK One and no doubt inspired by it. Nice scent profile. As was the intent by CK One, it straddles masculine/feminine as a Citrus Aromatic "cologne" with softening white florals. Good stuff. I've got a pretty good collection of Foris fragrances, with the classically beautiful Fougere-esq Elite being my favorite. Cefiro is worth a full bottle add to my collection if at a good price.

Like most Floris fragrances, this is really nice. Full throttle citrus at first, which fades ultra fast, and then the musk, woods, and jasmine end up anchoring this scent. Incredibly well-blended and rounded, but it does have a slightly soapy vibe (I think because of the jasmine) that makes it feel a bit less special. Could see myself buy this eventually, but Floris does have better scents in this category, IMO.

A refined yet understated fragrance—clean, niche in character, and effortlessly sophisticated. It's unlikely to offend and may even garner quiet compliments, though it wears close to the skin. While by no means a clone, it evokes a similar aura to Voyage d'Hermès. Can be found for a very reasonable price at discounters.

Though this is a citrus, it isn't as sharp, pungent and fresh as some citrus fragrances because there are florals present and a heavy dose of musk. The citrus burns off fast and you are left with a musky floral that is light for the summer. In the base, it is a chypre with definite oakmoss present.

I bought a sample of this through the US Floris website. Its very fresh, citrusy and a little woodsy. Longevity and silage are long, possibly 6-7 hours. If you're looking good for more of a fruitful scent, check out Wulóng Cha by Nishane; it pulls more of a fig and tea smell.

Big blast of citruses and settles into a woody base with quite a lot of jasmine. I thought my husband would like this but he doesn't get along with this much jasmine. I will wear the sample come summer but I plan on buying Chypress instead for myself.

A more masculine citrus fragrance than I've tried before. The woody, spicy, and floral notes are extremely well-blended into the fresh citrus ones. I might not choose it for myself, but I'd love it on others, or as a room scent.

Simpler version of CK One, which is much cheaper. Citrus/woody fragrance that's slightly more masculine than unisex with decent projection and longevity. Nice, but for the price the Calvin Klein is a better value.

Lemon, that's about it. Not in a bad way, I do enjoy it, but it's definitely in the safe "work"/office zone of fragrances.

I like it. Unisex. Citrus combo with sandalwood and cedar wood notes. Very pleasant and easy to wear. Great for summer.

I love fresh natural lemon and lime opening but fragrance simply does not last on my skin. Fully gone after 2 hours...

If you live in a hot place like I do, this is the perfume for you. It is a wonderful citrus juicy...

I really like this, it's unisex, gentle, fresh and very wearable.

Cefiro is a pleasant skin scent that lasts for about six hours. It opens with a burst of bergamot, lime, lemon, orange, nutmeg and sandalwood. Ten minutes later the jasmine and musk make their presence felt and five minutes after that there's a hint of mint in there. I know it's not in the official note pyramid but it's there alright. 45 minutes in and the citrus notes have all gone. What you have is something green, a bit minty, but mainly floral, jasmine in the main. Three and half hours in you just have some jasmine and a vague floral note in tandem with a vague green note. Five hours after application you have a little bit of jasmine with some vague green note and a touch of musk. It's clean and nice and polite but not particularly memorable. It's genuinely unisex. I'd say it suits spring and summer in the daytime.

Floris is a house with an astoundingly rich and lengthy heritage, but sadly like so many others, lost their way at the turn of the century. Cefiro is a disappointing reminder of that, which is nothing more than a copy of CK One. It’s refreshingly watery and slightly minty in the opening, there’s a subtle peppery kick which settles fast, before becoming entirely recognisable as the same citric-musk of CK One. That is, an undeniably genius and addictive citric-musk which I love, but was clearly not the creation of Floris. It’s a nice scent, there’s no denying that. But everything which makes it nice are the things which have been stolen from something else. There are subtle differences, but not enough. This is an overpriced CK One for those who feel the original is too synthetic.

Cefiro is a citrus with jasmine and a woody, musky, base. Has a clean, lightly sweet, soapy, woody smell to it in the drydown. Jasmine is more often used in women's fragrances but in my opinion it's been blended in such a way that it is perfectly unisex here. It's a pleasant fragrance. It's long lasting considering it's a citrus EDT, I want to say it stays for 5-6 hours. I see the comparisons to CK One. CK One skews more green and Cefiro is more woody-floral. The illusory citrus aspect of CK One lasts much longer than the citrus in Cefiro. I'd opt for CK One over this, Floris pricing is rather high.

Recently I decided to reevaluate some Floris samples I had previously rejected as ones I didn't like. Santal got promoted from a dislike to a really like. Elite to an OK. This one sadly seems even worse than when I first tried it. With 10 sprays on my hair today (a spray from a sample bottle is much less than one from a full bottle) my best description is it reminds me of when I was a kid and got soap or shampoo in my eye and it stung. I like many Floris fragrances and have many 10, 50 or 100 ml bottles but sadly this isn't one of them

It's a clean fresh citrusy scent. I'd say it suits a young boy. Instead of axe. Husband says it's a scent for elder women. That makes it unisex. It's kinda nice but nothing special.

In one sentence: Lemon scented liquid dish soap. Nice but meh. Next....

One of the few Florises (Flores?) that I've seen in person in a store, and I'm realizing now how different it is from how I remembered it (i.e. different from their #127). It starts as an airy, light floral, initially a bit more on the feminine side of unisex...reminds me of the women's version of Clinique Happy, which I used to like on the lady in the next office at work. A bit of mint appears to "soapen" it up a bit, and bring it back toward masculine territory, sort of a la Himalaya. At this point, encountering it with no prior knowledge, I would be hard to convince that I should even consider it. As I wait for the mid notes to change to the base notes, it looks like I'm going to be disappointed because instead of changing, they mostly just vanish. Only the vaguest trace of expensive soap smell remains, and I'm not sure that it's not just wishful thinking. And (just what I needed) there's a tiny bit of licorice left at the end to piss me off. This is what I remember the old slimy Dove soap smelling like from years ago, and it's not a pleasant memory.

Immediately upon application this smells slightly medicinal, but this soon changes to a very herbal, dry bergamot. The middle notes that predominate on my skin are jasmine and sage. It's a very dry scent, and would probably be lovely after a shower on a morning when the weather is going to be scorchio ! There is a hint of lemony-jasmine still lingering after a few hours, there is something sweet there but it's still definately herbal, I can only liken it to Greek Honey, rich with thyme and sage. It's actually rather unusual on me and I would be interested to know how it would smell on a man. So, recommended for wearing whilst on your Greek Island holiday, sitting on the balcony eating peaches and figs with creamy yoghurt for breakfast, whilst your hair is still wet from the shower...mmmm

No sillage at all. Skin scent only. If you can smell it, it smells great, but no one is going to smell it unless you're getting very close.

Strong citrus notes. It smells like a lemon cleaner, or Jean Nate + men's cologne. Very similar to Calvin Klein CK One. Masculine.

Sprayed on paper, definitely a woody and fresh citrusy scent. Sprayed on the body, a pretty sour rancid smell, like acid reflux.

Phew! Luckily no citrus cleaner on my skin! My findings are very similar to WardrobeMistress'. However, I can understand Pitbull Friend's comment - it is very 'stripping' & 'bracing' in its composition so you will feel ultra-clean when wearing it, even on the hottest of days! The citrus is very real, it has a lemon that makes my lips purse at the thought of eating such a fruit! The herbal edge adds just the right amount of bitterness & dry depth to the citrus-jasmine mix. I do not find much depth in this fragrance - there is the clean musk & light sun-bleached woods but they are parched & light-weight. All-in-all, this makes for a very nice scent for sweltering heat - without the sweetness or fizzy effervescence that other lemon-jasmine scents offer. On my skin, I bring out a tinny metal quality from the lemon & nutmeg. However, on a man, this 'note' is less pronounced & so I am inclined to prefer this as a male fragrance. It offers reasonable yet quiet sillage & lasting power. Reminds me of ozone-rich, line dried, freshly-starched white cotton sheets, lemon presse & bare-foot walks through a dry herb-garden in a villa in Greece on a baking hot day.

I received a sample of this years ago direct from Floris. It was actually in the box of women’s perfumes that I received as part of the package, so it sat idle for some time. I later noticed it was labeled “unisex” so I gave it a try, but it was just too feminine for me. Fast forward nearly a decade later, it’s still with my other random samples that I’ve barely touched. So I dab a little on my wrist and find myself thinking, wow, I could actually wear this. So either the floral top notes have retreated into the background, or else my tastes have changed over the years that I would consider wearing this. Either way it’s a nice surprise. I’m getting a similar vibe from the base that I get with their Santal. A very bright sandalwood. Not sure if yet if I like it enough for a whole bottle, but it’s much more pleasing to me than it was when I first tried it.

Cefiro presents first and uniquely citric, since opening with lemon, orange and tangerine in various acidic and liquid facets, and connotations of bergamot mature elevate the freshness almost as a drink, followed to his middle notes soft and fresh spices, until transparent jasmine, still echoing previous citrus, but after some time a distant Virginia pencil cedar, musk, amber and sandalwood, close this wonderful fragrance. Distinct, although similarities with other fragrances shared use. Floris Cefiro is citric, with a freshness almost ethereal, witty and spiritual smell, gently masculine, made for a special morning.. A comfortable cloudy day. •

This masculine-leaning cologne by Floris reminds me of some of the classic Creed water scents for gents. I see that some people have also compared it to CK One! Well, suffice it to say that it has a clean, spare demeanor. Some people really hate Cefiro, apparently. My disaffection does not extend that far, but I would never buy a bottle of this creation to wear, despite its classification as a unisex scent. To me this is a stereotypical cologne-guy fragrance. Not quite as loud and obnoxious as some. More of a British than an American cologne guy fragrance--one with some manners.

Citrus & Woods... I do like fragrances by Floris . In fact, one of them is currently one of my favourite fragrances of all time. With this one though, I am not so impressed. Although it is of a good level and quality, I can't see anything which would distinguish it from the many different types of citrus, masculine types of fragrances consisting of citrus top, floral heart, and aromatic base. There really is very little difference I think. In conclusion, I would choose over this the famous Bleu de Chanel as a better alternative.

An initially sharp citrus which soon gets musky then fades... I applied 6 heavy sprays 0- 45 mins - 4 inch projection. This comes out a mixture of soapiness and sharp lemon citrus. I can smell a distant nutmeg. This is the best bit of the fragrance and it is not gender specific 45 mins - 1.5 hours - 2 inch projection. The sharp lemon disappears and musk takes over with a masculine twist 1.5 - 3.5 hours. Close to skin. The scent disintegrates and feels poorly done Mostly masculine Not for me

More jasmine than I expected from descriptions & reviews. I thought it leaned too feminine because of it so it was a pass for me. That said I think this would be great on a woman. It didn’t smell bad, just too floral for me to comfortably wear it. It did open with some good smelling citruses. If citrus and/or jasmine isn’t your thing better avoid this one. Good quality ingredients, didn’t smell cheap or synthetic.

On paper: Slightly sweet, airy and bitter citrus fruits. But also something that doesn’t blend well on paper, like a very subdued halitosis. On skin: Bitter, airy citrus. Lemon, bergamot. Salty aquatic notes. But also something ever so slightly creamy. I can’t get over the cleaning supply-vibe with this one however.
