Leather Oud

**A perfect conveyance of strong, confident, sophisticated masculinity. And utterly sexy to women.** Leather Oud is my signature scent, in the evenings at least. This scent is one of the best I have ever tried or owned. I adore it. It oozes leather backed by a rich, opulent, English style of oud (for all those who are worried that this might be too 'Arab-Persian' in style - don't worry at all). The leather is an interesting sort of leather and I can see why many think that there isn't much leather in here. Rather than the usual, plasticky, 'car seat' leather that one usually finds in scents, Leather Oud projects a rich, warm, sweet leather, rather saddle-like in many ways, or like that gorgeous smell of polo boots on a sunny day. It's backed by a strong spicy wood notes, and before the dry-down has heavier, masculine florals like carnation, geranium, and red rose. Speaking of masculine, this one has masculinity in spades, but in a mature, confident, self-assured sort of way, combined with an animalic, primal, feral touch. It's definitely not your average 'biker leather' scent like TF's Ombre Leather. I have been told many times how masculine it is, and how it oozes sophistication and wealth. Which leads me to what many of you will want to know: It's like catnip to women. A total 'panty dropper'. Wear Floris' (Ledger Series) Sandalwood by day, and this Leather Oud by night, and you'll convey utter sexiness. Excellent longevity and sillage. Spray it before and evening out (some on wrists and neck, and a few sprays on lapels/collar, and cuffs, and you'll be good to go all night). My only warning is that you need to be careful not to let this scent wear you. If you can't back up what it's saying to those around you, you'll look silly.

Less fabled than its sibling Honey Oud, Floris Leather Oud packs in significant power of its own but simply rather leans toward leather than honey in its focus. Sophisticated, sharp, and not too animalic or dirty, it occupies a space that I generally find to be neglected, the regal sort of leather that impresses but doesn't overwhelm, and I'm particularly picky about leathers.a Its leather isn't so dominant as to subdue the bergamot in the opening, which contributes to a sharp sort of freshness. The florals in the heart blend in very nicely, not taking over but rather adding some nuance to the leather. And the oud isn't not an overpowering dirty oud, but rather sharp oud that blends in from a more topheavy position than usual. The base of woods is nice, too, as that provides a natural comfort. I'm not sure what "amber wood" is, exactly, but it's certainly not a sharper wood from what I can tell. Again, to compare to Honey Oud, Leathe Oud too is a great performer, but because its focus is leather and not honey, it's inherently a little less casual and more formal, not that that's problematic but simply a predictable consequence. Overall, a harmonious composition that plays well on the central note, keeping it both a fun and formal experience that, while ideal for cooler weather also might not be too cloying in even the warmest of weather, though it's difficult for me to say at this time. One I'd surely consider buying at the right price, as the $235 for 100ml EDP retail is a bit steep as far as I'm concerned. Still, for the money, this could be a versatile niche player for men that may, for some, justify the cost, but I'm hoping I might be able to do better. 8 out of 10

Beğenenler var biliyorum ama dior leather-oud çok sert, ağır, konforsuz bir parfüm gelmişti bana. Sert ve bir tarzı olmayan deri kokularını sevmiyorum. Ancak Floris, Dior da şikayet ettiğim herşeyden uzak bir parfüm çıktı. Neredeyse bana sorup benim için yapılmış diyeceğim. Deri son derece yumuşak, oud batılı bir havada. Biraz şekerli havası var. Diğer notaları ayırmak pek mümkün değil. Yumuşak ve şekerli bir havada oud, onun hemen arkasında hafif bir deri ve bu ikilinin üstüne oturduğu ve kalite hissi yaratan diğerleri. Kesinlikle çok keyifli. En sevdiğim oud lu parfümlerden birisi oldu. Kalıcılık ve koku dağılımı makul. Daha çok erkeklere uygun. Yaz ayları dışında rahatlıkla kullanılabilir. Bu markanın bazı başka parfümlerini deneme fırsatı buldum ve genel anlamda başarılı olduklarını söylemeliyim. Fiyatı biraz yüksek. İndirimde yakalarsanız kaçırmayın.

Floris Leather Oud is a well structured, high quality fragrance from a venerable English perfumer. The scent oozes class and refinement. There is solid projection for most of the fragrance's 8+ hour longevity. The opening features a brief bergamot note which is quickly joined and then hurried off stage by a semi-animalic leather accord. The leather sticks around and is joined by rich oud, which is just a little dirty and might just be real. Some of the oud's medicinal aspects are accented by a bit of minty geranium and some patchouli also shows up later to enhance the oud's dirty tones. It all works well, but it is fairly linear and simple. There is a bit of Amber and vetiver in the deep dry down. The quality, at the risk of repeating myselt, is palpably high. The scent begs for dressy occasions, which limits its usefullness, although I have worn it casually. I really enjoy this scent and recommended it. Try first. Leans masculine. Beautifully presented. Pure class.

What an impeccably classy, sophisticated, and elegant scent. Leather Oud's profile is not subtle in the least; it's a rich, almost honeyed leather with very slightly floral flourishes, all on top of a thick, dirty oud. Somewhat surprising to me, it just works. And it smells like wealth. I'm generally not one for a thick oud. But this is blended so magnificently, and it's staying power is so impressive, I can't but admire it. Floris is a house I have a love/hate relationship with, and this is squarely on the love side. Indeed, I never would have guessed this is a Floris scent. It's not at all like a stereotypical "safe" and prim English-style scent one might associate with an old English house. LO is much more exciting, and perhaps even a bit daring. This is one of those scents that will wear you if you're not careful or cut out for it. Sample first!

This is a great alternative to ADP Colonia Intensa Oud. This maybe a bit more "dirtier" as the patchouli is absent in the ADP. The oud note in the Floris is present but does not come off as medicinal or barnyard. It just smells dark to me while the leather gives it a soft balance refined vibe. This can be worn in most seasons except of course for those hot and humid summers and it can be frequently found for under $100. I have had it on for 6 hours and the sillage is very present. Not a beast mode scent but more of a moderate scent with solid longevity. It's a shame that Floris is not a well known house in the US like ADP. Another great offering is Honey Oud from Floris which suffers because of the more well known version from Montale.

A very pleasant expensive smelling leather oud scent. I do see the similarity to One Man Show Oud Edition which is far cheaper, but the quality here is much better, the blending is smoother and it has an effecescent quality that lacks which makes it feel lighter and more appealing (if slightly medicinal). The oud is synthetic of course but works well in the blend, the stars are the leather, geranium and amber with some carnation on the edge dandying it up ever so slightly. The spicy geranium cloviness and leather has echoes of Bel Ami, the citrus and oud has echoes of AdP Oud and the general blend has the One Man Show vibe. It's like a well put together mash of them all. Very happy with this blind buy.

This reminds me quite a lot of Montale's much-loved Black Aoud, with an extra layer of leather in the opening. There is the same syrupy mandarin and bergamot opening as the Montale, intermingling this time with a unique and distinctive leather note that will satisfy leather lovers. The heart brings forth rose and geranium and the Montale-style leathery and medicinal oud. Amber and patchouli provide the supporting notes. After 6 hours the oud takes over and remains for 12 hours plus. Full bottle worthy, assuming you don't already own the Montale.

Solid scent. Rich and complex. Beast mode, One spray is all I need. Carnation is really good in this, with intense leather and oud notes. I don't get any patchouli or geranium yet. In the drydown, I can also detect some amber and woods. Longevity and projection is really great. 10+ hours with just one spray. Good for fall/winter evenings.

Not sure if we are reviewing the same fragrance but in my opinion this is an outstanding and beautiful interpretation of leather and oud. On my skin it is more of a female and leathery scent. Just love how they are chemically interacting each other. Love this fragrance and happy that it works for my skin.

A beautiful masculine scent. The initial impression is a bit on the medicinal side, but this transitions on the skin to a lovely leathery spicy scent. This is a formal perfume and pairs with a tweed suit and tie perfectly. The layers are revealed over time and from my perspective, a delightful journey.

Sexy. Classy. Amouage-y. I'm impressed. While it's not a very strong leather, there's something about this one that makes me want to wear leather. It's definitely more masculine than feminine, but I plan on adding a bottle of this to my collection and wearing the hell out of it everywhere.

Carnation and geranium give this leather-oud combo a dandyish quality. There's a hint of booze (rum?), although no declared note of such. This is a supple leather and reserved oud fragrance. Very British, indeed. One of the best from Floris.

This is incredible. Special. Outstanding. One of those scents you can’t stop smelling. Classy, sophisticated, bold. Never owned a Floris until now. Can’t see this being the last from this house. Different class. Bravo, Floris 👏🏻

I bought a decant of this for my husband to try. Delicious, and pairs well with my other oud and rose perfumes. Very sexy. Date night. If you like rose and oud and honeyed leather you can't go wrong here. Unisex. Very strong.

Wow! There is infact a "Medicinal nuance" to this, but the broght citrus in the opening smells GORGEOUS against the heavier Leather and Oud notes! Amazing!

Great opening with a kind of stinky leather / oud mixed with a lot of carnation and geranium for that old-school outdoors feeling. The drydown isn't very interesting though, and I just get woody amber (smells like amber xtreme) after around 6-7 hours. Floris' claims about 12 hours+ longevity is not true for me at least. All in all it feels like a modernized and a bit more crude version of something Hermès could've done in the 80s, though I'm not much for modern or modernized scents so maybe that's why it doesn't really work for me. I always appreciate leather and oud scents without unnecessary sweetness added though.

The quality of the notes is conspicuously high, but I must agree with the general consensus that the overly simplistic composition formalizes the wear and lacks distinction from other leather/oud combinations. The pairing lacks the playful originality of its Honey/Oud counterpart release. Frequent outings may bring out the subtlety of the florals and amber to the wearer, but the prominence of the main notes will more than likely play a tad stiff to the passerby. No corners were cut here, but this is difficult fragrance to dress down.

Marry Montale's Aoud Leather and Mancera's Black Line, and you get a good idea of what this smells like. It's not unpleasant by any stretch of the word.. .but it seems like it's all been done before for much less.

This stuff is STRONG! I bought a tester without a cap. If you leave the bottle in a room with no cap that room will smell like Floris Leather Oud.

A good fragrance, sweet geranium and bergamot fragrance with some oud and leather. I like it! Realy similar to ADP - Oud

The floral notes really punch you in the face in the opening, but of course they settle down later on. They do remain present and very distinct, though, so if you're not into floral scents, you'll want to avoid this fragrance. For the first hour, there's a very strong, boozy oud scent with very little leather at all. In the dry down, the oud recedes and begins hiding behind the geranium note. The leather remains very weak throughout. Overall, the floral notes are just way too strong for my preferences. They overpower everything else, at least on me.

There is no denying that the quality of the notes are there - it's a well structured and elegant English luxury perfume. This is indeed a quality scent with craftsmanship built into it. My complaint isn't regarding the structure, professionalism or craftsmanship behind it, but rather the combination of notes that don't particularly appeal to me: Stinky leather with medicinal oud. When wearing this scent, it smells like I'm inside a pharmacy, dousing myself not with a fragrance, but with medicine. Floris Leather Oud is a very harsh, dry scent, with a strong duo of stinky leather and medicinal oud, and this combination makes it unwearable for me. Too bad, because I really wanted to like it. Final score: 5/10.

Floral-scented anti-freeze, slightly burned motor oil with Pine Sol. It burns a little on the skin, like menthol.

Very heavy and not a safe buy. Would not recommend it

Familiar oud and leather accords mix with a floral heart and clean yet robust musky ambroxan base to create something very pleasant, if unoriginal, in the designer/synthetic oud sphere. Leather Oud opens with a warm, nutty oud note flanked by saffron, most familiar in Armani's Oud Prive - although it will be recognisable to many people as what was used by many different designer brands for their oud fragrances in the 2010s. It's supported by a pleasant raspberry-rose, never too sweet nor too feminine, and a dry, rugged leather. This latter aspect will also be recognisable to many, as the signature Tuscan Leather scent that has spawned so many imitations. Conceptualising Floris's Leather Oud may be easiest if you think what Tuscan Leather would smell like with the addition of Oud Wood, without the cardomom. The scent has a slightly boozy quality, although never sweet or cloying, and gives off an accurate feel and impression of leather without smelling like a new handbag or furniture polish (although there is a hint of that last part, as is the case with so many modern leather scents). The heart is more leather than oud, which is my preference, and it provides a nice, woody-leathery, masculine heft with the warmth of non-descript spicy notes and just enough of the sweet floral/fruit to retain the oriental edge. As it dries, the clean and modern ambroxan-musk base grows, and this will carry the fragrance and give body/depth at a distance. On that, performance is good: it lasts a full working day and projection is deceptively strong for the first few hours. This is probably the best iteration of the Tuscan Leather/Oud Wood type that has been made. It's a very nice balance between the two, losing some of the less effective parts (too much sweetness and/or chemical smell). This leans slightly more formal and mature than many, providing a nice, if generic, modern fragrance for someone wanting to dip their toe in to orientals without running the risk of falling in head first and ending up drenched in something unpleasant.

Wow, this is quite the patchouli bomb on my skin! Don't be misled by the name - there's very little leather or oud in this fragrance. I actually prefer my oud subtle so I was pleased with the opening. However, what little oud, leather and bergamot I detected in the beginning was completely gone within the first hour. After that, it was straight patchouli on my skin - really, no other notes at all. It's been eight hours and I'm still getting camphoraceous wafts from my forearm. It's not a bad scent, but since it turned out to be so one-note on my skin, I won't be pursuing a full bottle. I predict that serious oud- or leather-lovers would be disappointed with this fragrance (though it might be a good introduction to those just testing out those notes); patchouli haters definitely need not apply!

نمایشی تکراری و حوصله سر بر از فضای ارینتال با محوریت آکورد کهربا که با عود و پچولی تزیین شده ‌ . عطری. بشدت با کیفییت و زیبا که من هیچ حسی از نت چرم ازش نمی‌گیرم . می‌دونم که انگلیسیها این تیپ بو ها رو دوست دارند و برای مردم اروپا این ژانر بویایی هنوزم جذابه . ولی ما ایرانیها پذیرای کلاس بویایی عربی طور نیستیم ‌ حتی اگر اون عطر ساخت مارک لوکسی همچون فلوریس باشه. اون عده از افرادی هم که داخل کشور طرفدار این فضای بویایی هستند سالیان پیش با هایپ شدن نت عود و عطرهای با کیفییت عربی . عطر مورد علاقه یا نظرشون رو تهییه کردند . بنظر من دو عطر گرون قیمت فلوریس . هانی عود و لدر عود. جایگاهی تو مارکت عطر ایران نخواهد داشت .طبق معمول این عطر هم مثل بقیه عطرهای فلوریس از کیفییت و بلند بسیار بالا و خوبی ساخته شده . پخش بوی ملایم و ماندگاری خوبی هم داره . اما تکراری...

A nice and refined Floral/ Oud composition. It's unisex and very gentle. Smells pleasant and has good strength on my skin. I'm not a fan of Oud myself and don't like rose-floral kind of smells. I'm originally from Iran and there's been a huge tradition of making perfumes from rose and other floral notes. The scents however are usually perceived as cheap and old fashioned in modern time Iran. This perfume and almost all the perfumes in the category of floral-oud reminds me of those traditional perfumes. They don't go well with my style.

In leather Oud there's very little leather,the name is quite deceptive. This fragrance packs a big punch of bergamot from beginning just about to the end. Oud plays a minor role in the mids & trydown. The bergamot is fresh and crisp throughout the life of the Fragrance. There's some floral notes that you can pick up through the entire. Excellent blend of ingredients,Just No Leather. Longevity 6 to 8 hours, great for warmer weather. Scent trail is moderate Over all scent 8/10

I get citrus and oud - fresh, a little bit sweet, spicy. I don't get much leather though, only a little bit in the beginning, it's a kind of modern animalic leather note, but not very distinct. Some time later, patchouli becomes very prominent, but I'm not sure if I enjoy patchouli here very much. What I do like is the bergamot and spice: it adds some crispiness to the scent which makes it very uplifting. It's been 6 hours and I can still detect it on my skin.

Want to know what this smells like? Picture Lattafa's Opulent Oud and possibly Lancóme's Oud Bouquet without the sweetness of praline and vanilla. Although, not listed it smells of saffron up top. I'm actually surprised no one picked up the similarities between the three. This is definitely an oriental fragrance. Leather Oud and Honey Oud were debuted together but I much prefer the leather.

This complex, sophisticated and undeniably beautiful blend is harmoniously sheer. Aromas are lightly smoky and leathery, while the tone emphasizes the floral aspects. The texture is very soft and the finish lingers nicely. I don't have too much experience in the Floris Brand but after sampling this, all that will change. Leather Oud is a fragrance that needs some recognition. Good Stuff!

The initial blast has sweet fruit and then strong wet leather which I love. After 10 - 15 mins a floral blast which leads to a resinous Oud and woods. This Oud is less synthetic than most and I really do love it. I hope it lasts a long time. I find this frags dry down very animalic, it is very reminiscent of Montale's Black Aoud but softer more accessible for me.

On paper: Soft, slightly animalic saffron, patchouli and rose. Supple suede tones and a light incensey oud accord, On skin: Very similar on skin, with the suede aspect being enhanced. Very well balanced but a slightly ashy rose is what sticks out the most after a while. A very good beginners oud for those that want to delve into the genre.

Dense, new leather. This reminds of of a new motorcycle jacket. The leather is black and newly tanned, even slightly rubbery. The oud keeps this masculine and smokey. This is not a fruity leather, but the florals round it out enough to keep it from going to musky/dusty. Overall a great leather scent.

I got a rather strong sharp saffron’s at the top, although it’s not listed in the notes list. No wonder people think it’s similar to slow explosion by Imaginary Author, which also features high-pitched saffron.

on me this is straight up leather and oud, very bold, straightforward, gets the job done, 3-4 sprays, medium strong projection lasts for hours

Wearing it for the first time. For the first 40 minutes, very similar to Parfums de Marly Nisean.

Dead Grandma.. Is all I smell. Not good on my skin, I do not like this blend.

Expensive saddle leather. Beautiful.
