Neroli Voyage

I blind bought this and it turned out to be a great acquisition. Neroli Voyage is an apt name for this scent, as this review will make clear. My first reaction was: wow, this is a very complex offering with many accords so well-blended that it is difficult to pick them apart. But very quickly, it is the lemon (a sugary lemon) that makes itself known. Not the Neroli. Not yet. At this point, my feeling was that this was going to be the boarding-school-going love child of two other Floris fragrances - papa Special No. 127, and mama Bergamotto di Positano. But I was wrong. The Neroli quickly rears its head and the voyage begins. The sweet-bitterness of the Neroli is now joined by the salty sea-notes and the spicy fennel-ginger and I'm on a schooner crossing the sea from Italy to France. It is a heady journey, not for the faint of heart (and/or Neroli haters). We soon arrive on the other shore, and while we're squarely still in the Mediterranean, there is a darker forest in the distance that draws our attention. Within steps we enter a woody arbor. The Neroli is still there, but through the combination of oak and amber (and maybe fennel), I'm picking up a smooth chocolate vibe. It is like finding a bar of Italian chocolate on loamy French soil, and this feeling lasts almost as long as it takes to traverse the woods. Eventually, we reach the end of the arbor and emerge into an airy open space where blossoms abound. This is where the Neroli re-asserts itself, but this time, it is softer and more powdery, with a hint of vanilla (?) supported by the long-lasting but subtle ginger. And this is where we stay, until it all dies down on the creamiest note possible. All in all, a voyage in space and time, and a truly magnificent achievement. One final thought. Most of Floris' fragrances are quite linear and reflect an austereness that comes with their being an old-school perfume house that is located on uber-starchy Jermyn St. This is anything but that, and yet it retains a DNA that is undeniably Floris. I find it hard to explain. With this scent, Floris has finally entered the 21st century. That is not a bad thing.

Floris' latest fragrance really is a clever and complex one and everything I hoped it would be. Opening with citrus and orange blossom, the aromatic neroli then comes through and settles for several hours with a crisp marine scent (think warm summer mornings by the coast) before the oak and amber settle the fragrance with a woodiness (like an early summer evening walking along the pines beside the ocean). After 6-8 hours, Neroli Voyage is still relatively strong. At this point, although the odor is soothing, calm and relaxing, I was missing the original, light, sweet-floral scent but much to my surprise, the perfume begins to complete an impressive arch - the final hours seamlessly reverting back to a citrus marine with some very powerful similarities to the Bergamotto di Positano eau de parfum by Floris. Although light, the fragrance has some major longevity without being overpowering - something I crave from a summer fragrance. The aforementioned Bergamotto di Positano was always my favorite smell Floris had in it's summer arsenal, however its longevity is so weak. It would look as though Neroli Voyage does not have that problem. A beautiful effort.

After testing this I had to buy a bottle, luckily discounters have large discounts on this so look around! The fragrance is very unique, its not a simple linear fragrances as it takes you on a journey with the citrus, florals and wonderful blended depth with the amber and light musc. I usually hate neroli fragrances but this is something else, its nothing like that soapy bomb Neroli Portofino by Tom Ford. One would think this would smell old as its made by Floris est. 1730 which are more associated with conservative old fashioned fragrances but its rather modern fragrance and was created in 2019. You can really tell the ingredients are of high quality when you smell this as they smell so natural and the scent is so smooth, soft and airy. Its just love pour moi and I cannot wait to wear this in the high heat ! Totally unisex but leans ever so slightly masculine, for ages 25+ for those rocking summer chic style.

Captivating Neroli Aquatic. This transports you to a wind swept beach on a warm spring day. Seamlessly blended, fairly light and at times almost ethereal. I sampled this on a rather cool spring day so I'd expect it performs better in warmer temperatures. I got around 2 hours projection before it slowly retreats towards the skin. Total longevity around 5 to 6 hours but was getting whiffs from my shirt 12 hours after application. Very well done indeed. End of Summer EDIT I wore this regularly throughout Summer this year. This fragrance based on scent alone is probably my fave Neroli The longevity remains around 6 hours on skin even in very warm weather. It's fairly subtle and masculine, where I find most neroli fragrances are more unisex or slightly feminine. Parfum Nicolai Cap Neroli beats this for longevity but I think for fragrance I do favour this one slightly.

The most undiscovered underrated neroli gem in the world of fine fragrances. To me, this is the most photorealistic modern interpretation of classic Mediterranean summer scenes in the 60s (or what have you). It's Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton on holiday in Antibes. Clean crisp white linen shirt, shorts, yacht, sea breeze, and that understated elegance. Absolutely splendid. The lemon and neroli opening was boldly refreshing and assertive. You're mature, secure, possibly with money, but relaxing on a holiday. Then, like what everyone said below, the jasmine peeking out and everything was a soapy floral bliss all the way to the most comfortable dry down of ambery-musky vanilla. Glorious summer! Performance is solid - ahead of most Floris fragrances. ~7 or 8hrs with a 'confident' sillage for the first 4 hours. For a freshie, absolutely a diamond standard.

I traveled to Madrid in autumn 2019 for a couple of days and had the chance to try Neroli Voyage in a tiny local parfum store. For a whole day (working non-stop) I was totally captivated by the complexity of this somehow "citrucy-and-yet-not-only" scent, that becomes oceanic and then floral and again citrusy and it still is strong (something I usually miss in such fragrances and I think none can be compared with it). I didn't have the time to get back to the store and buy it. Then we were all locked down and I actually dreamed in my sleep (!) of this fragrance several times, until I bought it; to find out it is even better now that i can live with it. This is one of the very rare times I actually fell in love with a parfum (last time, it was during the 90s, with L'Eau d' Issey).Thank you Floris!

I'm wearing this on this warm spring day, and I can't help but notice a striking resemblance to another fragrance that's a favorite as well: Jul Et Mad Aqua Sextius. Like Aqua Sextius, this one also has a deep aquatic backbone. Imagine you have spent the better part of an hour in a cool, inviting swimming pool on a hot summer afternoon. A smidgeon of pool water forces its way up your nostrils as you dive headfirst into the pool. The aquatic odor of mildly chlorinated water fills your nose and the back of your throat. For a fleeting moment, it's a pleasant sensation that makes you feel as if you are one with the water before you come up sputtering and coughing up the water. This scent captures that magical, aqueous feeling in a bottle. A simple, masterful, masculine creation.

Great neroli fragrance. I'm not sure I get the sea reference but there is a touch of some piquant ginger and fennel but definitely no calone. I see the comparison to Essenza but this is more of a clean white neroli fragrance with a crisp musky woody base, and I find Essenza more green, zesty, shot of adrenaline. I like them both, but for different reasons. This one is more tranquil and base notes carry a gentle white soapy cleanliness. Essebza is more aggressive and screetchy musk.Longevity is pretty good - projection could be better if you're wearing it outdoors and looking for throw. Perfectly suitable for the office. I went through a bottle of Essenza but I think I slightly prefer this. ---------------------------------------------- Scent 9/10 Performance 7/10

Very bright, cheerful and summery with a marvellous Mediterranean neroli vibe; like a more fun and interesting version of John Varvatos Artisan Pure. Possibly an evolved Acqua di Parma Essenza di Colonia, which can also be enjoyed by neroli aficionados, though ADP's offering is a slightly more classic barbershop style. Neroli Voyage is a more modern barbershop offering with an added marine note and possibly greater versatility than Essenza as it is a more unisex scent at roughly the same value for money. Both are on a par performance-wise, but a huge plus for me with Neroli Voyage is that Floris is cruelty-free, unlike most fragrance houses. Overall great quality.

A wonderful fragrance, I popped into the Jermyn Street store in London last weekend to get it sprayed on my arm and they gave me a tester as well. Its blended so well and the orange blossom with jasmine bring out such beautiful soft florals that waft off your arm with the neroli in the heat. You really do smell like fresh clean linen sheets but in an extremely good way and the longevity was about 7 hours with 2 to 3 hour sillage. This is a very underated classy, expensive smelling fresh fragrance for one wanting some summer chic. perfect for holidays somewhere like the Amalfi Coast or Cote d'Azzure.

Yep this will be my neroli staple for the summer, I agree with everything in the review just below except the price, you can always get this at a really good deals at discounters which is what I did. I paid 70 when it usually sells 120 at retail. This fragrance in the opening is beautiful, soft airy that leans feminine, but the dry down certainly leans more masculine, performance on my olive dark skin is pretty good for an EDP. A lovely fresh clean elegant summer fragrance for both a classy woman or man rocking summer chic. Its love pour moi :)

This is absolutely beautiful in Spring/Summer, and although it is a more masculine smelling scent I feel it is very easy for anyone of any gender to pull off wearing. Only recently have I been getting orange notes rather than a vague lemony citrus note, and I’ve been loving it all the more due to this. The aquatic notes combined with this put forward the idea of a beautiful Summer holiday by the beach, right next to fields of tart fruit. It’s an incredibly refreshing perfume, and I would definitely recommend it as a Summer staple.

This is an absolute gem that captures the côte d'azur at its best moment of the year. It feels high quality ingredients and it just gets better and better with the dry down.. very long lasting for the citrus .. and definitely the best part is that this Neroli Voyage doesn't stop transforming and changing on your skin and it's exquisite in all its phases. It's just a must buy .. I'm wearing it in the middle of London's December and it's certainly making me voyage...

Like a triple layer cake of shades of neroli this captures an endless Mediterranean summer day in a special way, somehow staying fresh despite the continuity - every whiff is slightly different. It doesn't veer outside those lines which is a win or loss depending on how you feel about neroli. Successfully unisex when instinct says it should fall one way or the other. I long for the clear blue days this feels like the only sensible thing to wear.

Got the tester bottle for a decent price. Can't ask for more, everything I want and more for a shiny hot summer day with a classy setting. Almafi vibes. In the same vein with colonia essenza but this one I pick up any day over that. So well blended and sorta complex as a citrusy scent. Neroli at its finest. Cheers and stay safe.

Easily my favorite fragrance from Floris, even beating out their classic formulations. Does an excellent job of capturing the essence of the Mediterranean. Also very happy with the performance considering the ephemeral nature of other neroli and citrus based fragrances. Definitely worthy of being a staple fragrance.

This is a lovely scent, with a more classical style. On my skin the ginger and ocean salt give it a masculine edge, though it remains neroli-forward. It feels like the perfect fragrance for those rare, sunny yet rainy beach days, where even the rain falls in a calm, picturesque manner.

The name says it all, it really is a journey, as soon as I put it on, I can’t stop smelling it as it begins its subtle rollercoaster ride of ups and downs highs and lows, settling down after a couple of hours leaving a gorgeous subtle but long lasting smell of heaven.

Signature scent for me. Fits my personality more than any other. Banana Republic Neroli Woods is a very similar cheaper option but the Floris, with the addition of the marine notes, feels just a bit higher in overall quality

Like a French suntan lotion which has more floral than coconut. Almost Tahitian. Very French Rivera. Opens bright citrus but becomes a skin scent that’s been on the beach all day. I love how it sticks to cotton.

A lot of reviews suggest that this is masculine leaning but I disagree. It reminds me of my mother (60 years old) and playing backgammon with her on summer holidays. A sophisticated yet light summer fragrance.

Neroli by the sea-side. Very fresh and up-lifting. Gorgeous stuff. Would like it to perform better, but it seems that all Neroli focussed scents have lacklustre performance so can’t really complain.

blind buy, wow. beautiful scent. the change is very pronounced, soft and smooth, really a florist masterpiece with modern dna I love it so much I will make it an office perfume in 2022

My second favourite perfume from this house after Jermyn Street, is marine but far away from a blue perfume, is green, bright, clean and zesty.

it's a nice office fragrance, I have finished 2 bottles of this gem. the smell is not complicated but the change of notes is very clear.

love at first sniff. Lemon & neroli blended beautifully with some woody base. Less woody than Bvulgari neroli wood.

Neroli Voyage is rather well named as you do go on a genuine olfactory journey round part of the Ligurian Sea. How pleasant it is when the marketing and the reality are in harmony! Neroli Voyage opens with lemon, neroli, marine notes and some fennel. It's in a similar vein to Acqua di Parma's Chinotto di Liguria at this point in that it is a rather traditional, refined number with an intimate projection. It stays like this for about an hour. Then the second stage of the journey begins. Neroli Voyage changes into a jasmine led perfume with moderate to strong sillage. The lemon and the fennel have gone but the neroli still features. There's a hint of ginger and a hint of musk. The marine notes have sailed away. The neroli and jasmine make the perfume soapy. This continues for about two hours. Stage three has the neroli - jasmine soapiness joined by a hint of musk and a tiny hint of amber. There's still a spot of ginger and you can start to smell the oak as well. The sillage has turned down its volume to somewhere between a moderate and intimate projection. It fades very gradually over the next three or four hours. Then there is the final stage. Once more the neroli-jasmine soapy accord is the dominant theme but there is a renewed flicker of spicy woods from the amber and oak. The perfume finally sails into the sunset and over the horizon somewhere between nine and ten hours after application. I've rated this one as a 'like'. I really like the opening: it's positively elegant and beautiful and to the masculine side. The second stage where the neroli-jasmine soapy accord projects is more feminine (not an issue with me) but the projection makes it a little bit too much for me. Sensitive souls and sensitive noses might find it a bit headache-y or pungent if they're not a devotee of that particular accord. Once it settles down and you get the oak and amber to help balance it out it becomes very nice again - and totally unisex to boot. All in all, we have a perfume with some high quality ingredients which have been blended together very well. Whoever put it together certainly brought more than a touch of artisanal flair to it but it just doesn't quite capture my imagination in the same way that it has my appreciation. I am happy to see the boat that Neroli Voyage sails on but I won't be boarding this particular vessel once my supply has elapsed. I'll be dockside wishing you Bon Voyage! Adieu, mes amis!

Neroli as a note piqued my interest after getting the TF NP dupe 'Porto Neroli' by Maison Alhambra. While Porto Neroli offers a bittersweet, nenuco-facing citrus; Neroli Voyage offers Neroli at its sharpest and most green point. There's something incredibly fresh about this that smells more like rainy spring days than summertime to me, although I suppose this fragrance is apt for both. It's undeniably aquatic. Initially this was quite challenging for me as my skin rejects salty perfume notes, making them smell like saliva and batter. But after spraying this a few times on my skin, it smells way more floral and way more bitter than salty. A super beautiful, unisex, floral with a bitter Neroli essence. Gonna start wearing this one now.

I would have to describe this as a dry, fresh, slightly sweet and soapy fragrance. The slightly sweet floral notes are more prominent than the citrus (as expected, given the name), yet I can pick up on the tartness of the lemon up close. The sweet and bitter notes are thus very well balanced. I also pick up on some spicy piney nuances, which I suspect come from the interplay between the lemon and ginger notes. This is the kind of pleasant and inoffensive "white T-shirt fragrance" I want to wear on warm summer days, like Mugler Cologne. I might also wear this to the office. The price is also great, considering the high quality blend and longevity.

This is very nice. It's a fresh take on a modern "freshie" while still retaining that traditional refined, understated English DNA Floris is known for. The Neroli blends well with the jasmine here. I now have two Floris fragrances I like - this and Elite. And two that I'm working on getting to like - No. 89 and Honey Oud. Neroli Voyage is categorized as a Floral Woody Musk here on Fragrantica, but I categorize it simply as a Citrus Floral "Freshie" (freshie being an ozonic-aquatic) with the distinctive Floris English DNA.

I was a little disappointed by this. The notes sounded so amazing to me but all I really get is the neroli with a bit of saltiness. I would have loved to smell more of the sea notes, fennel and ginger. I suspect they’re supposed to come out in the drydown, but I only get about 90 minutes from this perfume so I assume I’m only really smelling the top notes. Don’t get me wrong, it’s really nice if you’re a fan of neroli, but I wanted a bit more.

This is my go-to summer fragrance. I just love the scent on this one and the best Neroli fragrance I have smelled. The performance is just ok but not great so I just reapply. The silage is pretty nice despite the performance. I get a lot of compliments on this one. I am shocked this is not a significantly more popular summer scent. I actually wore this in Italy and had locals ask me about it. It really screams Mediterranean.

8/10 This smells like a less salty Mancera French Riviera. Very classy. I can just imagine myself on a beach somewhere, sipping dry Martinis, peeling off bikinis, and wearing this. Unfortunately, the dry down Is saltier than the opening and it becomes quite sickening after a while.

Smells like a slightly worse, more lemon cleaner-esque version of neroli portofino or lv sun song. That being said, I love both of those fragrances and it comes close enough Pros: - Good performance - Pleasant scent profile Cons: - Synthetic opening - Better alternatives 7.0/10

For anyone interested I just bought this online at just £48 for100ml at Harrods of all places. About £5 postage but hell at that price, who cares. This is about £80-£120 anywhere else. It's fantastic btw - classic lemons (bascially)

Crisp and fresh, good for a hot summer day, however you really have to overspray it to get a tiny bit of longevity and projection. If I ever need to attend to a wedding in Italy, this would be the scent what I would wear.

this was indeed a pleasant surprise ! first fee seconds i thought im getting a classic citrussy cologne... but wow.. then jasmine came peeking. it mellows down with warm woody musky base. lovely surprise with the jasmine!

The scent is nice and balanced, but unfortunately, the performance is lacking. This is not your typical neroli taken into a creamy, sweet territory with sandalwood and vanilla. The neroli, with it's sweet and powdery facets are contrasted with green and woody elements. No, I cannot smell any fennel, which I don't like. The result is a unisex, if not masculine leaning scent. I wish this acts at least like a good eau de toilette, but it doesn't. On me, it's like a weak EdC. Yes, I know, it's an EdP! Unfortunate pass. If I can't smell it, I don't buy it.

Barely okay, there are many other fragrances with neroli that is more pleasant than this. Here they have gone with a sweet neroli profile, I just feel it has too much of it or something because it isn't fresh. It smells like very dated cologne water. And it didn't give me the exquisite rich feeling, more like really cheap smelling for being a high priced "Floris". Save money on this one. If you like Neroli you can rather explore a master piece like Mugler Cologne or Bvlgari Wood Neroli that are more fresh and masculine.

Excellent fragrance. Smells like a greener Prada Infusions D'Iris Cedre with a marine note and orange added. Kinda like Prada Infusions D'Iris Cedre x Blvgari Aqva Amara. Although Amara has more of a bright, juicy, fruity citrusy orange note, whereas this is a much more bitter, greener, orange leaf or peel type note. This smells very high quality and classically masculine though. Very pleasantly surprised by this.

To me this fragrance is a bit feminine. It’s a nice fragrance I’d smell in something like a fancy hotel soap or resort. Not for me though.

Neroli lovers rejoice! I really like the added jasmine and florals here although it makes it slightly more feminine leaning.

Way too much neroli for my liking. Bought a fb based on testing in store . Not working well at the moment. Will have to come back to it again in spring/summer if I don't pass it along to someone else before that. For me personally the dry down of 89 and this is better. The opening of both is too much for me at the moment. 89 is a full blast of lavender with citrus whereas this is full blast of neroli with ginger. This though is more unisex. 89 screams aftershave at you. Let's wait for March and April.

Very sharp and a bit screechy. Not unlike some reviews. Guerlain Nerolia Vetiver or Neroli plein sud are better blends for me in this category. My fav still remains Mugler cologne which has become very hard to get. Jermyn Street though is another story. Very fresh and aromatic

Floris Neroli Voyage opens with a brisk, metallic neroli accord that carries an impression of fountain-pen ink and polished metal. As the composition develops, the metallic shimmer remains while soft white-floral and airy green tones emerge, evoking the atmosphere of a flower shop. The overall structure stays transparent and linear, gradually softening into a clean, linen-like dry-down with traces of polished citrus and faint woods. For someone who favors dry, structured fragrances built around citrus, spice, and moss—with clear evolution from top to base—the steady metallic-floral profile of Neroli Voyage may appear too linear. Its emphasis on neroli and ozonic metal over spice and wood makes it more atmospheric than dimensional. In summary, Floris Neroli Voyage is a crisp, modern composition with an unusual ink-metal freshness, but its focus on polished transparency comes at the expense of depth and evolution.

This is the second presumably “summery” scent from Floris that I try. Both are EDP concentration, but where Jermyn Street starts with violets reminiscent of Fahrenheit that dissipate quite quickly, Neroli Voyage is extremely neroli centric all the way. Some would say that this reminded them of old-fashioned perfumes, and I cannot disagree, because to some extent, this feels like a summer version of Karl Mann’s Brut from 1964 but where the talcum and rose have been taken away. However, I think it is a nice work done here that suits young an old, and I would say this is executed within the framework of a bold, quality and timeless vintage concept rather than an outdated one. The sea notes are not prominent, it is rather a modern, airy feel that is added that way. An aspect also worth mentioning is that it is leaning slightly barbershop, but just enough for men to appreciate it I think. Generally I think it is a very versatile unisex scent, although men would probably prefer to wear it on bright summer days mostly. Good and linear tenacity with impressions oscillating slightly between the classic and the breezy outdoors. If you want to change scent for the evening, you need to wash it off first. If you do love a scent like this, the basenotes are solid enough for wearing at any time of the day and year. Big thumbs up, I might consider getting a bottle when we arrive on the other side of winter solstice.

Smooth calming citrus classic... I just can't decide wither if this blend is going to be mine or not! i mean i love the classics, the blends that has that Russian leather theme & barbershop feels with lemon, powder, carnations, fresh bright, but definitely no metallic and no seafoam... but "Neroli Voyage" tricks! it's never linear which i personally don't have problem with, but the transformation is kind of tiring! i mean the top note is bright yet calming neroli lemon and sea breeze, but the transitioning goes bit unpredictable! last time when i tested it, i removed it from my want list, but now after 30 minutes in, it is just beautiful with that amberic musky neroli, & powdery musky oaks! the green note is detected too and i believe it is from the combination of fennel and fresh young jasmines & later some tingly notes comes from the ginger seabreeze mix & turned the blend citrusy oaky with a touch of uncooked rice that is soaked in water & a touch of sea breeze. I can't deny that i enjoyed the true feelings that @Richie McCaw described in his comment as i can sense his flowing emotions that he got from wearing this! those feelings had a certain impact on my vision towards "Neroli Voyage" which made it quite a beautiful scent in my eyes that i needed to test again, and here i am again testing it as my vision changed. It is a beautiful scent indeed, classic, citrusy, woody, Fougere, & aquatic.

4711 on steroids and with (some) longevity. As others have said, will remind those of us who’ve been lucky enough to spend time on the Mediterranean of long summer days & nights gazing at the most incredible scenery. Neroli heavy but soft in its application, this is totally unisex and a fantastic summer scent. White shirt or t-shirt, shorts and shades, this is making me long for Summer as we head in to a cold snap in early Spring in Wales. The only other Neroli based scent I own (& have spent considerably more time with) is ADPs Colonia Essenza, which is more barbershop focused and definitely more masculine, possibly more wearable in the cooler months. I love them both, but right now, I think I prefer the Floris even though the ADP used to be my signature. Unless you have an aversion to Neroli, I can’t see anyone disliking this.

Oh this is divine. Absolutely smells of neroli blossoming by the seaside - the crisp, realistic salt air, the rich white flowers with a hint of orange, the soft jasmine in the breeze in the background. Heavenly. Takes you right to paradise.
