I appreciate the james bond saga, when i found it for a good price i grabbed it. This is very Floris to the bones, well made, classy and elegant but at the same time nothing spectacular. Basically it is an ambery version of Floris 89 mixed with only 2-3 drops of egoiste. It smells very clean and a bit fruity in the beginning, then became more ambery with sandalwood and a very soft oakmoss. A very nice scent, gentle, for a well mannered, mature man. Too soft for winter, it fits better for spring and fall. Sadly i dont get the connection with the personality of james bond, especially the Connery and craig versions. Yes Bond is a very elegant guy, but he can be very edgy and rude if the situation is difficult. So i think this edt lacks a bit in personality and performance. If you find it for a good price it's ok, the retail price is out of this world, absolutely not worthy for 200€. Mi piace molto la saga di James Bond, soprattutto le versioni di Connery e Craig. This is a fairly unique fragrance from Floris that smells like nothing else in my collection. Having said that, the fragrance does doff its hat to various other classic-style mens fragrances as it progresses through its life cycle. There's a sharp, fresh, almost minty blast in the first few seconds that settles almost immediately to a spicy, citrus-floral, warm and smoky scent with a classically familiar DNA. I get the similarities to Viking with the spiciness and citrus in the opening but this is not prominent and settles quickly as the scent develops to a warm, sweet, fresh dry down. This stage reminds me somewhat of L'instant de Guerlain pour homme mixed with Creed's Himalaya but with added complexity and a lingering spicy, smoky nuance. There's a classic familiarity to the overall scent profile that every man over the age of 35 will recognise as 'the aftershave smell'. I like it. It's mature and familiar, adventurous and complex with a touch of sexiness too. Not for teenagers or young and trendy clubbers but ideal for a mature and sophisticated man having a whisky by the fire in an old manor house hotel. Projection and longevity are above average in my opinion. People hate on this because of its price and the lack of invention but, to me at least, the familiarity is a positive and I picked this up at half price from Floris. Overall, I am happy with this scent.

I sampled this for a second time in 4 months this week at the Floris boutique on Jermyn Street and bought a full bottle. The sales staff there will tell you that 007 is inspired by No89, but I think while there are tiny moments where it reminds of No89, the sum total is quite different. For one thing, the opening is very citrus and geranium forward, but the citrus is gone within seconds. As the geranium fades, the midnotes show up, particularly the rosemary and carnation. By the time the base notes are on full display, most of what I smell is orange, amber and sandalwood. A very warm and cozy finale. As far as longevity is concerned, this is quite good with it lasting 8+ hours no-problem, but it is a skin scent after 1 hour. Really no different from most Floris scents. Very similar to No89 or JF in its longevity/sillage profile. My overall impression is that this is a very elegant fragrance for men that is quite old-school and in line with Floris' roots and beginnings. The scent notes feel expensive and natural, not cheap and chemical. IMO a fragrance best suited for fall, winter, and early spring. I also think in the male Floris lineup, this is a unique option and one that is worth owning.

i love this scent. this is a very underrated fragrance not many people know about at all. there are notes that work so well here...the rose, the sweet orange, etc. although this would work really well on an older, refined and confident male such as well, james bond, (who the fragrance is based after), i feel younger people can also pull this off. in my eyes, this isn't a winter fragrance. this is perfect for an in between season such as spring and fall. also, in the monsoon, depending on where you live. wearing this in the evening is ideal, in any season. no.007 reminds me of a spicy, slightly floral smell of wet rain- in the best way possible. it also has this powdery feel to it. this only needs 3-4 sprays, as the fresh spicy element will be headache-inducing if oversprayed. the base notes and spiciness make this a masculine scent that is classy, but still unique. this lasts a solid 6.5 hours. this is a subtle but beautiful fragrance. incredibly overpriced, but still, an absolutely beautiful scent.

I'm not sure where people are finding the DNA of No. 89 in this, I think it's wholly unique. Personally, I love this scent and think it's going to become one of my signatures. That said, I would not pay full retail for this. Charging upwards of $300 is definitely overcharging. I was able to get it from a discounter, but with it still being a new fragrance I know I got lucky. Paying between $100 and $200 is much more justifiable. As far as the scent goes, it smells very similar to Pete and Pedro's Tobacco Cream conditioner, which I adore. It has a nice smokiness that rounds it out. I could see people disliking it for this reason, but overall I think it smells fantastic. If anyone tells you that it smells like No 89, their nose doesn't work anymore. Overall 9.5/10 for me. It's so close to perfect to my nose.

If this is supposed to be 007’s signature scent, we must discuss which 007 is best suited to wear this fragrance. In my opinion, it’s Sean Connery’s 1960s version of James Bond. This fragrance is a beautiful concoction of aromatic, floral, powdery, and mossy accords. A scent that definitely smells retro chic. Carnation is an iffy note for me, but it works well in this composition along with the rose. It has similarities to Fougere Royale. However, this fragrance is a bit more powdery and the rose note is a bit more prominent. Overall performance is not great but not bad either. For those of us not in British Secret Intelligence, the retro aspect of this fragrance may be challenging and not mass appealing. However, for special events and when the mood strikes, I will gladly don this elegant scent.

This is a modern take of an old school spicy floral scent, very much in the Floris style. I like it, especially the fresh and spicy opening mixed with juniper (which I can take or leave usually) and some background muskiness. As it dries, it loses some of the spiciness and becomes more soapy. This is okay, but it becomes less interesting for it. I’d prefer for the spiciness to last longer. Performance isn’t too bad on me, with better than expected longevity although sillage is moderate to low. Nice presentation, well constructed and it feels like quality but overpriced, nonetheless. For some reason though, I’m strangely drawn to this, more than I usually would for this type of scent. I think it’s because of the opening, which I love. Overall, it’s certainly a strong like from me.

Floris really flies under the radar! Smelling this side by side with the fragrance this most reminded me of, Creed Viking Cologne, it appears to have improved upon the concept. Smoother and way more interesting. It garners compliments even without possessing an enormous sillage. My new favorite from the house.

This is a very traditional masculine, dry, ambery, floral, woody fragrance. Very classic smelling, and I'd expect nothing less from Floris producing this fragrance in celebration of James Bond's 60th anniversary.

This is what I imagine Sean Connery as James Bond would wear - I get oakmoss with geranium the most. It’s very classy, yet unconventional, and stays for about 3 hours on my skin.

I love this unique scent. The smoke In the opening. The patchouli, clove and the rose... The rose is sooo good in this. Best quality fragrance. It lasted 8 hours+ on me.

I'm a huge James Bond fanatic and for my birthday was gifted a bottle of this cologne by Floris. This cologne was made to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the first Bond film; Dr. No and I feel it embodies the spirit of Sean Connery very well. The cologne is spicy and woody with some hints of citrus that wear well in all seasons. However the main issue with this cologne is its longevity. I find that this cologne lasts around 4 hours on me and that's about it. On CERTAIN clothing it can last longer (I've found on my turtlenecks it will last closer to 8 hours but on a t-shirt it's still around 4-5) but on the skin it's about a 4 hour limit. That wouldn't bother me so much if this cologne wasn't over 300 dollars. I've had 20 dollar cologne last all day. I would be fine if it lasted 6 or 7 hours but paying over 300 bucks for a cologne that is essentially a whisper for only 4 hours is a lot. I'm not unhappy and it's become my "date night" cologne as I've noticed much like Bond the ladies really love it and snuggle up a whole lot closer when I'm wearing it. However the longevity and price are an issue. If it was the same price as the one Ian Fleming actually wore (Floris No.80) then I would 100% purchase this again. However at over 300 bucks it's a lot of money to spend for 4 hours of smelling good. If you do purchase a bottle I suggest saving it for a very special occasion. Business meeting, or date night.

Going by all the description I was prepared to hate it- but I actually don`t. Overall, It`s like a complex herbalist bouquet- slightly bitter herbs on sweet amber and musk. There are SO many layers and they change with every minute. It is old fashioned, you get the immediate amber and musk, not too overloaded though, rather "polite". It is also very well layered with "essential oil type" of herbal notes, slightly bitter yet not really medicinal. The mentioned juniper- again this broad meaning- is it supposed to be a juniper tree or juniper berry? Usually many pine/conifer notes are described as "juniper"- here I feel no conifer, but I do feel the dry juniper berry, borderline black pepper cone. A bit of rose, a Very Clear geranium. Definitely changes into something lighter after a while. I would imagine a more confident individual wearing this- not an older- but a more confident person.

Really stunning fragrance with one big problem, it lasts two maybe three hours before it's barely a skin scent. Opening is everything they say in the blurb, juniper is there to take you to the gin martini, later there is warmth in a rum tinged amber to take you to the warm climates of some of the films and there is a bit of florals to represent the rose of england and the carnation Bond (James Bond) wears on his lapel in some films. The warmth and sweetness is what tames the powdery florals and the bright junpier gives it a fresh pop, the carnation brings some spice and around all that there are some musky qualities to it. Very very nice. I am not normally one to complain about performance too much, I like my fragrances not to scream anyway and be more elegant and changing throughout the day but I have to hold this one to charge for the price it goes for.

I love James Bond and was super excited to try this thanks to a generous fragrantica friend. Full disclosure I do not like Creed Viking. And although this has some resemblance I think this is better. It actually seems to remind me or Rochas Man. The opening of RM is what I wanted Viking to be. My skin really amps up the carnation in 007 and this is the main player on my skin, secondary to the rose and basenotes. Overall I feel like this is a good spicy aromatic carnation fragrance that smells classy. Performance seems to be middle of the road based on my testing. I'll update as needed. The price point on this was crazy. It’s a good cologne. I was forced to buy it as I thought it was going to go away as it was special edition. I regret buying it, however it’s a great scent for a short while. The fragrance dissipates quickly. But it’s a very mature, clean and professional scent. I usually wear it when I’m wearing a suit. Flowers and sandalwood are what I get. When you put it on it’s really feminine at first and then transitions. I didn’t like it at first, but it grew on me.

I tried 007 and Vert Fougère; the latter was a scrubber, but 007 smells nice. I feel like it doesn't have much personality; it smells like a lot of things I smelled before. Creamy sandalwood mixed with carnations and patch. Lasts OK. Projection is below average.

I made an immediate DNA connection to Floris No. 89. And that would make some sense, right? So far it seems as if the intent was to modernize the No. 89 scent profile, which again makes sense since the James Bond connection was made with No. 89 due to Ian Fleming's fondness for that fragrance. It seems the dry-as-gin mid-century classic English Gentleman's Cologne that is No. 89 had its sharp, dry, cutting DNA softened and sweetened, and vintage musk replaced with the modern white musk. In other words, modernized. I'm very surprised that none of the four YouTube reviews, nor any of the reviews so far posted here, have reported this. I only get the reported similarities to a traditional bay rum in the slightest way. And thus far almost no similarity to Creed Viking, a favorite fragrance of mine, and certainly nothing like Frederic Malle French Lover or Creed Royal Oud. Floris No. 007 wears very understated, very close to the skin, in conformance with the typical Floris house DNA. It's just slightly powdery, an unlisted accord, and also seems to have a bit of an unlisted resinous accord. It has slight Dior Eau Savauge Parfum vibes with that slight resinous texture. It is slightly sweet given the citrus, amber and spicy facets of the geranium and carnation, which to some prompt the bay rum comparisons I mostly fail to detect. The rose doesn't seem prominent. But above all, Floris No. 007 smells like a modernized Floris No. 89, and I think Floris did a pretty decent job. It's a pretty nice wearing but very reserved formal/semi-formal masculine fragrance, and the connections with Ian Fleming and the James Bond franchise from such a traditional English house make it a good collectors item. But it's not a great masterpiece or anything like that. And for the poster above who says not to listen to those who say this has a DNA connection to No. 89 because our nose "is broken", I'll turn that around. It's OBVIOUS that it does, and anyone who has experience with both will know the comparison exists, unless they have a bad nose.

Old school. Really old school, like the 1940's. Forget all the hype the media foists on you about "modernizing the Bond legend" or whatever. Whoever approved this wanted at least this part of the Bond image to harken back to Ian Fleming himself. What he might have worn as a British secret agent in World War II. Yes, that old school. Many reviewers seem to smell a lot of geranium in 007. I wish I did. What I smell out of my little sample vial in the mini Floris box is a lot of juniper with a trace of orange, plenty of rosemary, and redolent with oakmoss. None of the amber/rose/geranium/carnation notes that appeal to perfume buyers (both men and women) in the last 10 years. Absolutely not unisex either. Floris was known for making scents like this pre-1970, but they've tried everything to appear more modern at least since about 1990. (There must have been a lot of backlash from that recent one with the cannabis note though.) They've certainly gone way back now with this one. 007 is not disappointing exactly, but you're not prepared for it, especially considering how much flash and commercialization is usually associated with James Bond accoutrements. I never associated James Bond with anything austere, but this fragrance certainly is.

Had a sample of this and was disappointed by it. It has the dna of 89 for sure, but I didn’t find it as powdery. The performance was terrible on my skin, it’s all a bit middle of the road and not worth a full bottle at this price point.

A somewhat fougère-like scent, completely unoriginal, decent, a bit darker and not sweet.

This is some expensive colored water Floris is selling. Packaging is beautiful but the juice won't go farther than like 3-4 inches. After 4-5 mins, it's skin scent. Longevity is moderate. I do not understand the purpose of its existence. Don't waste your money.

Smells like bacon frazzles. Once you notice it, that's all you can notice 😅 I'm surprised that this fragrance would be related to James Bond. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder as the say. Who knows, maybe 007 enjoyed a bag of frazzles between missions 🤷♂️

Quite nice and manly, it smells rather unique as far as the Floris range goes. This was a £200 limited release which I purchased because I didn't want to miss out, but after 6 months of it presumably not selling as they thought, they dropped it to £100. Nice going Floris, but a lesson learned - no more blind faith. The other problem is that (like Floris perfumes in general) it just doesn't last. After 2 hours it becomes a skin scent with no projection. This simply isn't good enough and puts me off buying anything more from this house. I want to love Floris, but they just wont let me. I guess you have to pay the £750 bespoke fee to get a good perfume that lasts from them, and even then I wouldn't bet on it. The facts are that their perfumers just aren't up to it and their perfumes have major longevity problems, especially considering the price.

Christmas in a bottle. None of the above comparisons are accurate. This smells like orange spice, clove, lavender, and black licorice. If Musc Ravageur was a men’s fragrance in the year 1978, it would have smelled like this. It smells like an old man’s fragrance with the edges taken off and certain holiday candle aspects thrown in. I love the opening so much. After that it gets close to the skin, where it should stay because this type of scent profile is very cozy and comforting and doesn’t need to shout. It’s very confident and reassuring. A very charming silver fox on a Hallmark Christmas movie would wear this. I don’t get the James Bond reference

Smells much better on skin than on paper, as others have said, that Floris DNA is definitely in there but I don't think it is similar to 89 (which is one of my all time favourite fragrances). The performance of this leaves much to be desired though unfortunately, I barely get an hour out of it before it becomes a skin scent. Very unfortunate for an EDP.

Smokey rosemary & juniper... the first 2 minutes i get an overdose rosemary and juniper smoke & bit by bit other notes comes up... first the sweet orange geranium, then oakmoss bergamot, then musky amber, then rosemary rose carnations. It is a very interesting blend and honestly it's like a journey! it shifts overtime. Beautiful.

The man that wears this lives in London or Manhattan, is 45 and up, professional guy, dates younger, stays in shape, wears mens’ standard clothes and used to wear Tom Ford. That’s the way I see it. These are exceptional fragrances when you want to wear quality and pedigree and want to stand out in the most discreet way.

On paper: Dry rose, incense, elemi, leather and something deeply earthy and slightly animalic. On skin: Dry but powdery rose, slightly bitter and mineralic, patchouli, clove. Way better on skin.

Personally this is an occasion fragrance to a nice dinner or a chill night out with S/O. Lovely rose/orange/geranium in the opening and creamy amber/sandalwood in the dry down. 10/10

This is outstanding. But literaly is 99 per cent identical to Egoiste and/or Geo f Trumper sandalwood. That's It. But again anyway. One of the best smelling liquid out there.

It' s interesting , juniper, carnation Rosemary, geranium but its too expensive for and basic fragrance.....
