Pink Grapefruit

I deeply regret never having bought a bottle of this. It wasn't out all that long and I thought it was too strong. It really grabbed you by the shoulders and shook you, sort of like the old Dior Diorissimo did. So I didn't think I needed it. Of course, since then hardly any bottles have hit the internet. The few people who bought it apparently loved it and kept theirs. And the few perfume sellers who have dared bring out a grapefruit scent have muted their products. So please, Floris, reconsider Pink Grapefruit. And how about bringing out a 50ml bottle more of us could afford? July 27, 2020: Some online seller finally put up a bottle and I grabbed it. The intervening 16 years have toned it down a bit. Of course I don't know where or how its spent its time, but it probably wasn't kept in a sunny window. It came without a box but probably unused, so who knows. Floris Pink Grapefruit still grabs you by the shoulders when you spray some on, but it doesn't shake you so much. It comes on more bitter than I remember it, but it's still a good fragrance. It seemed to fade in maybe 3 hours, but maybe it did in 2004 too. I never really had a bottle of it before now, and it's likely if I sprayed it at a store I also sprayed other fragrances at the same time and maybe lost track of it. There is still enough of the original smell left in this bottle that I'm glad I bought it and really wish Floris would take the plunge and bring out another round of this, and sell them in smaller, cheaper bottles.

This is the only *REAL* bursting zesty pink grapefruit scent I have tried! EVER! Nothing sweet added to this (like most other grapefruit-scents) - simply the real deal. But strong potent freshly squeezed bitter pink grapefruit-juice! This is an edt with EDP-strength (not an cologne as stated above, check the bottle-label). Excellent longivety (6 hours). Sadly rare, as it's long discontinued.

I loved this fragrance! I wish SO much that it wasn't discontinued. This scent is fresh and vibrant, without being too tart. The initial citrusy burst calms down to a refreshing second skin very quickly. It's a perfect warm weather scent for cooling down when the temperature is rising. And it's a very realistic perfume, getting very close to the genuine aroma of a just-poured glass of fresh grapefruit juice. PG stays for several hours on skin, never overwhelming though but instead it's soft and beautiful. Please Floris...bring it back!
