Jasmin Venom

What can I say? When i saw this collection and the price I knew I had to have all three. This was my second favorite. Oleander was first, Narcissus third. This is very pleasant. I never thought I would care for a plum/vanilla combination, but it works. I definitely get jasmine from my bottle though. I have discovered that there can be subtle differences in batches, so those who could barely detect it are probably right. My only complaint about all three is longevity. I get an hour and a half tops, but for 14 dollars you can't really complain too much. This is nothing earthshaking, but I like it. It's a good go-to perfume if you just want something simple to feel pretty. Thanks Drew. <3

@josephquartana: How others treat us is THEIR karma; how we react is ours. Neither you nor Ms. Barrymore can claim to have originated the theme of fatal flowers. I was in high school many years ago when I first encountered the concept of a garden of fatal flowers in a story published in 1844 by American author Nathaniel Hawthorne called "Rappaccini's Daughter". Anyone can, as you say, "Look it up." And, just curious... are you going after every perfume house that uses the term Fatale? You might find L'Agent Provocateur a more formidable target than Ms. Barrymore. And don't forget Ms. Kardashian's 2014 release Fleur Fatale, which predates your series by two years. But I don't see HER posting rants about YOUR series. It's a big marketplace, Mr. Quartana, and good will, or lack thereof, plays a significant role in the choices consumers make in where, and where not, to spend our money. (Just ask Mr. Galliano...or Jean-Paul Guerlain.) So, be a gentleman and consider two things: 1) Not everyone can afford niche prices and 2) Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Those who like the concept of fatal flowers but aren't satisfied by the quality of a mass market version MIGHT be persuaded to try a niche version, i.e., yours. But believe me, you cannot bully anyone into becoming a customer with a snippy, childish rant employing all caps. Finally, your site lists prices for the Fatales line at $145-$185 per bottle while Ms. Barrymore's lists her line at $15 per bottle. No one is going to confuse or equate them any more than we'd confuse or equate Boone's Farm wine from Walmart with a fine French Beaujolais. There's room in the marketplace and a wide enough customer base for both extremes.

Powdery, woody floral. I don't get heavy fruit notes, which is fine. The woody notes are delicious! Sillage and lasting power are modest for the edp. The presentation is unusual, the green flacon is gorgeous. JV is one of the good cheapies, I'm happy with it.

Kind of woody floral and heavy. But fades off rather quick. Not too heavy that you cannot wear it in say an office. But the "green" scent is heavy enough to be annoying and sickly. A 6/10 but not amazing or horrible.

This smells like bath powder mixed with the spray starch I used to iron my aprons when I was a waitress. It never occurred to me that a fragrance could be humorous, but this is cracking me up! I don’t smell fruit. I don’t smell any florals. I smell powder, powder, and powder. I grew up on the Gulf Coast, where it’s almost always humid, so it’s a smell I’m definitely familiar with enough to not be offended. But, boy! This is not something I ever intended to smell like on purpose. It brings back memories of the old church mothers who would pop you with their fan right before they slid you a Werther’s Original to keep you quiet. Yet another blind buy I’ll wind up using to either layer or mix into an unscented lotion. SAVE YOUR COINS, LADIES! Secret and Dove make drugstore deodorants that smell nicer than this. Luckily, it was cheap. I guess that’s what I get for being curious. This has been absolutely hilarious experiment.
