Sultry

It has been on my wishlist for years ever since it was discontinued. At that time, this fragrance went for about $100+ on sites like ebay, and of course i wasn't going to pay that much for it. But i wanted it so bad because this fragrance had really good reviews and i previously owned the cherished fragrance from this line, which i LOVED! So as time passed, i had completely forgot this collection existed until i was shopping at Burlington while i was out of town and came across this beauty for only $9.99! I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me for a moment lol. Obviously, i had to buy it to see what the hype was about and OMG, this is one of the best Patcho fragrances I've ever smelled. The juice inside this gorgeous bottle lives up to the name. To my nose, this is a soft, seductive blend of Plum and Patchouli. It's so sexy and classy. There's a hint if Pink Pepper and Cashmeran as it dries down, but everything is so well blended. Sultry is perfect for a date night, whether it's somewhere casual or formal. This is definitely a head turner and compliment magnet. Sultry lasted about 3-4 hours on my skin with up to 4 feet of sillage. I wish this fragrance would last longer, but it's so good, it's worth carrying this cute bottle with you to reappy. Since this fragrance is disconnected, I'm going to shop at Burlington more frequent than usual in hopes if finding a 3rd bottle because i found my second bottle on ebay for about $30 lol. Scent: 10/10 Packaging: 10/10 Performance: 5/10

This has a very fruity quality to it. It is not obnoxious though. It is a dark grape?...sort of scent. It lasts a few hours on my skin. I tried it out on fabric also and it lasted almost 24 hours. I like it and would but it again. I also like that they don't test on animals, but I guess that doesn't have much to do with my opinion of the scent.

unfortunately they've discontinued it. I thought they had a walmart only exclusive. Already the prices are getting higher on amazon and ebay. too bad, I really like it. but won't be able to replace it. Looks like the other perfumes are still available there though.

I love this!! Its a woodsy berry scent, I even smell a bit of fresh dirt which must be the patchouli. It's perfect for fall and winter. I only have the half ounce now I think I need a bigger bottle. Its so cheap yet smells very nice, and the bottle is so cute

My first patchouli fragrance ---> fast forward now I'm hooked and it's a favorite note of mine <333 Shares common notes with Kerosene's Fields of Rubus but is much softer, feminine and easy going.

This is a very sexy sweet floral perfume. A bit spicy from the patchouli. Im also getting a rosy note. Overall a cheap beautiful perfume. Cost me 9.99 at Gordman's

To have discovered this little beauty in the fragrance aisle at Walmart, of all places, I have to say I was caught off-guard. Quality this sheer in a eau de parfum, so natural and inviting to a wide demography, is a welcome facet I'm sure to many ladies in recent years. Since her obscure introduction in the film "Altered States" (1980), the grace, bravado and renown of the woman that is Drew Barrymore has drawn a huge following, and steady media coverage. In return, her three available fragrances, under the title "Flower," are distinct, genial formulations that evoke three separate moods, aspects and accents of Drew herself. Sultry is decidedly the most exotic and sensual of the three (Cherished, Sultry and Radiant) Flowers, largely due to the patchouli and white musk base notes. Make no mistake, however; Sultry is not abrasive or offensive in any way. It's almost as though Drew's Flower line was engineered for the sensitive nose--genteel, refined and fresh floral bouquets that transmute into soft nude scents for the confident and carefree woman. Two criticisms, though--and they are minimal, believe me. First, the overall longevity is absolutely unbelievable, on both skin and clothing contact, with the latter being more noticeable. HOWEVER, the sillage narrows drastically inside the first hour or two. Something most of us perfume/cologne snobs tend to forget is our unwitting tendency to grow nose-blind to our favorite fragrances. With Sultry--and I'd wager the entire Flower line--the depth of one's individual waft aura appears to shrink. In reality, it's merely our tolerance to the scent after drydown that has us convinced it's faded. I've received compliments from perfect strangers (using strictly Sultry) following several hours of the first spritz. Secondly, I've noticed a slightly disturbing drydown accent--only on my skin, not on clothing--that isn't listed in the fragrance notes above. It's almost certainly the patchouli reacting to my body chemistry, but about 30 minutes after application, I smell HICKORY WOOD. It's warm, even admittedly sexy to some extent, but quite unexpected. This is a rare occurrence, I'm sure, and most ladies are sure not to notice such a subtle accent in a delicate floral gourmand as Sultry. Conclusively, I've been swept off my feet with the innocence, simplicity and universal applicability of Drew's Flowers, with Sultry retaining a definite sense of maturity over the other variations. And--thankfully--the price tag is relatively agreeable to my purse-strings, as well!

I am so confused as to why this is the least liked one of the 3 Flower scents, as I find it most likable. Now to be clear, none of the Flower scents are anything special, but this is the least generic of the 3 and also the boldest. In the opening I notice the cranberry, blueberry and cashmeran, with lots of patchouli. I smell very little pink pepper, if any. I think it is there to make the fragrance not as sweet, not to hit you in the face. Within 15 minutes, the fruityness fades and a weak jasmine makes itself known, and the patchouli is still thriving. As someone who adamantly dislikes jasmine and loves patchouli, it is a nice balance that I like. The final layer of Sultry reveals itself to be pretty tame but still likeable; Musk, vanilla, and berries on patchouli. For some reason I get an almost banana smell too? Nothing too outrageous though. This is a safe scent in my opinion. I looked up all the Flower scents before I set out to buy a holiday gift set, which was on sale for $4.98 and expected to get Radiant or Cherished, but Sultry was my favorite. It last a long time on me, at least 6-8 hours.

I like that this is the Flower line's take on "sultry"-- still as soft, clean and approachable as the other scents in the line, and completely complimentary to any of the others you might have been wearing earlier in the day that have not totally faded yet. I like that this line is really designed to be layered throughout the day. In fact, I think they are better together. I would personally recommend layering it with either Cherished or Radiant. Getting back to Sultry in particular, it is primarily plum and patchouli, with a soft underlying musk. I'm sure a lot of people would not necessarily use the word sultry to describe this fragrance. It might seem a little tame to some. For me, though, this is perfect as a date night fragrance that doesn't scream for attention. It's sexy in a "let's snuggle on the couch and watch a movie" kind of way, rather than something you would wear out to an expensive restaurant or loud bar. It would suit any season. Very happy to have this in my collection.

I like the scent, very snuggly in a warm blanket in the front of the fireplace drinking red wine kind of way. However, every time I wear this I wind up in a bad mood. There's something in this perfume that makes me cranky. I suspect it's the cashmeran. I looked up the notes and the other perfumes that has cashmeran in them. I don't own any other perfume with this note in it. I never had this reaction with a perfume before. So, while I enjoy the scent, I don't enjoy life while wearing it. I'm keeping it though, because sometimes life throws you curve balls, and you have to be as bad-ass as you can. I will wear this when that time comes.

right off i get plum, cashmeran and pink pepper as the strongest notes, with maybe a little bit of cranberry. the patchouli becomes more obvious after being on the skin for about 20 minutes. i had to read up on cashmeran and i admit that this note is ruining the scent for me. on me it smells strong and too chemical for my tastes.

Very nice fruity slightly spicy smell, good specialy for winter days. The big downside is longevity. After a couple of hours it's completely over for me. Hope the longevity will improve.

Quite pleasant, 'purple' floriental. In the same general family as the long lamented VS Basic Instincts, without being nearly as interesting or powerful. Not recommended for those who love long lived scents. The lasting power does not even appear to be as good as Cherish or Radiant, the other two releases in the Flower trio. Cherish seems to be the scent that will appeal to the majority, and with good reason. It's not only inoffensive, but also feel-good and slightly creamy. The American public adores fresh laundry scents, and Cherish is a nice twist on these, without being Too TIDE!

I was quite surprised by this fragrance! Normally I go for the cuddly vanillas. But I decided on this after some bad luck with the Katy Perry killer queen scent. I wore this out to a bar with some girlfriends, one of my girlfriends, her wife commented how nice the perfume smelled. Many other people passing by us on the street as the wind blew, caught a faint whiff of this & asked what I was wearing. I will definitely be repurchasing! Love it!

I wanted to try this because I'm a plum fanatic - but the plum here is quite bitter and mature, and not very prominent. This smells mostly like an earthy patchouli bomb, softened a little by the blackberry and cashmeran. It reminded me a lot of the Sofia Vergara fragrances, especially "Love". Not my cup of tea (too earthy/bitter/mature for my taste), but I can see how many would find this appealing.

I’m wearing the last bit of this and that makes me feel a bit melancholy. So warm, inviting, WOMANLY. Cuddly musk/cashmeran and earthy patchouli dance with a lovely plum, dark berry, and soft jasmine. Just the smallest touch of vanilla peeks out in the dry down. I suppose this brings to mind my mother-not in a dated way, but more like a comforting perfumed hug that I’ve missed for so many years now.

I got this as a extra gift during a swap. When I smelled it I went on here to check to see what others thought. I honestly do not know why this gets so much hate. It's nothing to write home about but it smells good. I will definitely throw it in my purse and wear it out when it starts to get colder. I don't think I'll ever repurchase it but I will enjoy the roller ball I have.

I picked up a set of all three of the Flower fragrances at an after Christmas sale, when all the gift sets are marked down rather drastically. I liked this one the best but all were equally likable- none of the sweet candy feel of some of the celebrity fragrances. Sultry to me is like the darker fragrances of the 80's and 90's like Passion or the original Poison.

Of the 3 Flower scents,this one is the most "me".Fruity spicy patchouli scent,great for fall/winter. At $9.99 for a rollerball,it's a great price to throw in your purse and decide if you want to buy the larger sizes. I did not end up getting it but was pleasantly surprised with 2 of Drew's 3 scents.
