Swan Soloist

Seconding every word the reviewer below left, but especially when they described Swan Soloist to be an exact dupe of Penhaligon's Luna with (much) poorer longevity and sillage. Luna is my signature scent and the one that gets me the most compliments so I am WELL familiar with it, and this is SO much of one-for-one clone that I cannot imagine it to be done by anything other than on purpose. At any rate, just like Luna, this is foremost a cold rose scent that is neither mature nor juvenile, and certainly never powdery. Instead, it features an elegant dewy pink rose, still on its green stem, similar to the one in Diptyque's Eau Rose or Paul Smith's Rose (both also favourites of mine). The inclusion of a prominent bergamot, along with the juniper and fir notes, keeps that rose chilly and fresh, as if it was plucked on a cold moonlit night. And before you say it's because I'm influenced by the name of its smell-alike "Luna", I've literally been told by someone who had no idea what I was using that I "smell like roses and moonlight" lol.

this is super pretty and fresh! 🎀in the opening, the bitter orange is the most prominent note forsure, 🍊but as it dries down, you can also smell the rose and woodiness.🌹🤍 it’s very dreamy, and it reminds me of something princess aurora would wear🎀🌹

i loveee the peppery bergamot/floral smell, its addicting, but its too citrus-y on my skin, kinda like a floor cleaner. pretty unique nonetheless! i got recommended luna by penhaligons before, so now im curious to try it!

I quite like this perfume, its both fresh and sweet. The fir and juniper may fool you to believe it is a green perfume but its not...its more on the rosy side but the rose is barely detectable.

Woah, baby, this is a bomb! The citrus and rose are screachy and sour at first. Which I like. Then it gradually becomes more fresh. It's a rose dominant scent to be sure and it keeps it's aromatic tang in the background. It doesn't stay strong like that forever, but it's longevity is ok. The bottle is very aesthetic and has a lot of detail for something that utilizes so much plastic. It's nice to see so much thought put into the component and still come at a decent price. I think my favorite thing about it, though is that my 6 (almost 7) yr old niece kept squirreling it away into her and her brother's shared play room when they come over. She uses it as a room spray. I know she loves how whimsicalthe bottle is. Now I don't bother putting it back on my vanity. It'll just end up back on the bookshelf with the old I Spy books and beanie babies.

This is so rose and amber heavy for me, it’s a strong scent but not too heavy. I’ve worn it a couple times on nights out but there really isn’t much to it, the sillage and longevity are lacking which seems to be the case with all flowerknows fragrances. I don’t reach for it but the bottle is adorable.

I tried this one out to get out of my comfort zone but it’s way too sharp for me at first. It gives almost citrus bathroom cleaner at first but it does mellow out to rose with a hint of citrus but, i personally think it’s reminiscent of mosquito repellent. The citrus in this isn’t something i’m a fan of.

This perfume was so sharp, too sharp for me. Almost peppery. Prettier on the dry down, but not a safe blind buy.

This is an EXACT dupe for Penhaligons Luna, but cheaper and maybe with less longevity. I don’t know if that’s on purpose?? But either way, a gorgeous citrus-forward perfume with a heavy undercurrent of rose.
