Mémoires d'une Palmeraie 02

When first sprayed, this is citrusy pine and green notes to start with. It remains very fresh as it dries down. I'm not sure I could easily identify palm as a note independently, but in this case it adds an X factor to a classic clean, green scent that I love. Like with many fragrances with these notes, it's not a beast. However, for its category, it really does have decent projection and lasting power. I adore that it actually gets soapier as it matures, as I love that type of smell. I've had my bottle for about a year now, and I find that it is perfect for fall and winter when I want a "clean" scent but don't want the spring/summer vibes of soapy floral or soapy citrus. Really, this is one of those rare, year round fragrances though, it could be worn anytime. I've sampled all of the Fo'ah line, and I found 02 to be the most unique and, certainly, most suited to my tastes. However, if you want green with fruit notes you may want to obtain samples of their other offerings.

Review of the 125ml bottle: I like the bottle design, but the cap is plastic not glass. It feels a bit lightweight in your hand which is slightly disappointing. Surprisingly coniferous at the start with the bergamot just behind the pine. My impression prior to sampling was altered, I do think in warmer climates this can be worn beyond summer in spring/fall. The slightly effervescent pine and juniper give way to the prominent palm note and musk at the heart. They're both detectable at the opening, foreshadowing and perhaps making the fragrance just slightly linear. I do not detect much incense at any point. I get good longevity on 2-3 sprays with moderate sillage. Definitely unisex and unique. Worn to the office once, but will be my go to summer evening fragrance. Recommend sampling if you want a summertime fragrance that is neither citrus, sweet, or fruity but still somewhat tropical.

Explored Mémoires d'une Palmeraie line via Discovery Kit and 02 was instantly my favorite, not to say that it still keeps growing on me. It is such a beautiful fresh aromatic with zesty bergamot, green and woodsy notes, musky nuance and sensual incense enveloping everything together. It is absolutely perfect for the spring and summer, love the touch of the unique Palm Tree note. It is green, balsamic and a bit herbal, have a humid forest or a morning dew sensation. It has been a while since I have smelled anything this good and original, it is absolutely addictive! 02 works the best in warmer weather in my opinion, warm temperature brings out the best nuances.

Definitely opens green and juicy. Aromatic with slight woody facets. Feels like a breezy cool air in the mountains of Baguio in the Philippines or Cisarua, Bogor in Indonesia. Clean, crisp, green, pine-y, dew drops, the sun coming through the tall pine trees and it’s in the morning where you can literally hear nature. I do hope you get my reference because it is beautiful. 02’s may not project big, but I do think its scent bubble is just the right amount for you to enjoy or for anyone close enough. Longevity wise, it differs on my skin depending on the weather. It lasted the longest on a cool day with slight drizzles.

I agree with the previous reviews. This is a surprisingly bright, effervescent and easy to wear incense fragrance to wear during spring and summer. The fragrance does not project a lot but it leaves a pleasant sillage behind you. A very interesting creation. In my buy list.

Okay so I've noticed this brand have been given a hard, hard, time by a few folks and while I'm certainly not afraid to let a perfume 'have it' review wise, I'm going to be as fair and objective as possible. Despite the fact I'm sick of new 'niche' brands frankly, they are ten a penny, and especially these kind of middle eastern or 'inspired by that region, brands, setting up in 'Paris' because a bit like a Swiss watch brand, perfumes get lent the credibility of being French. (does that mean so much anymore?) Anyway...All that stuff aside, the fancy bottle made me go... oooh what is this? And skipping ahead on trying all the line I'd say they have a coherant theme throughout them, of fresh, beachy, palm running right through everything and it's not cheesy or gimmicky, it feels organic and right. So that's something going for this brand and gives some legitimacy. They have gifted bottles to 'influncers' or YT and elsewhere scumbags, but not at any great rate so as they become obviously ubiquitous and doing the social rounds to shift product. Again another plus. 02 is actually a really interesting blend of fresh accords, it's like cucumber, slightly sandy flipflop feet (in a good clean, just been in the sea way) and the hipsterish sandalwood/papyrus of a santal 33 but way, way, way, more bearable and actually in a context I enjoy surrounded by a palms and a twist of lime. I don't feel it's trying to hard, it's sort of effortless in it's portrayal of brilliant white sand and impossibly angled palms. I like it personally. I don't love it. It's not my style, but it's a well constructed, if not particularly attention grabbing.

Right, this one surprised me. Initial stage, I thought 'hey, this smells like what is happening underneath Chanel perfumes' 'what' 'Eau Verte with powder, oakmoss?' I had to trust the process because am really not into the chypre stuff and braving through the first stage, I got rewarded. 02 then started to smell like a lush, green, mossy, wet forest. More like the leaves and greens than actual tree bark. Serene fragrance, like a walk in a forest on a sunny spring day. And then I thought, I smelled something similar and I believe I know what it was, one of the frags from Rook Perfumes, either the one called Forest or Undergrowth. Now with regards to the notes themselves...had I checked them beforehand, would not have gone for this one, for sure. I would have gotten a very dry and piercing fragrance in my mind by looking at them. Now this one, is far from that, it is soft and lush. No idea why incense is marked by many as most dominant note? But then my skin tames incense, so maybe it's me. P.s. Just realised that it is reminiscent of Imaginary Authors' Soft Lawn, especially in the drydown.

You know how most incense perfumes are dark and heavy, kinda like frosty winter ware? This is a summer incense perfume. It's green and tart and at the same time has a transparent smoky incense veil. Feels smart and elegant.

Imagine juicing a handful of grass... now that's exactly what 02 and 11 smell like. Like the smell of a wheatgrass shot. Either my samples were no good, which I doubt it because they came directly from them or I'm just not understanding these fragrances. Either way for me these are awful.
