one of my fav to be honest I had low expectation,but all I can say is wow,this opens up with a dark coconut not too sweet with a cinnamonish vanilla kinda smell sooo good,after a good 1-2hour the coconut still going strong with the vanilla(reminds me of a sweet but not too sweet coconut cake after 3-4hours the coconut starts to turn down the sweetness is still there the oud is not animalic at all maybe I can smell the deer musk but as heavy as in russian adam's work the ambergris gives even more creamy vibe to it the castoreum is a side player again I don't know how Jono created it but the animalic is basiclly unsmellable this is a autumn and winter must have recent got a sample of it however I am buying a bottle of it,soo good 100%recommend it to everyone

My first foray into Folkwinds and it reminds me of Slumberhouse style with dark and syrupy character and has a sort of cherry fruity aspect to it. This one however comes off bready and slightly more floral

Deep woods excursion from Folkwinds, an artisanal small batch brand focused on creating olfactory landscapes of the outdoors. The main player here is amburana wood which has a cinnamon based dessert like flavor which is tempered with some oak, vanilla, musk, castoreum, real animal musk and oud. The overall effect is a treat for woody scent lovers. The masculine leaning scent has moderate to strong sillage and good longevity. Enjoy! (From a complimentary partial bottle provided)

Underwhelming. The price point on this guys fragrances are even more painful. Concoctions are amateur at best and he prices them like he's EO. Much better work and value out there. This guys is just sticking it to people with bad spending habits.

It’s difficult to describe By and By. But I’ll try it out! When first sprayed I’m greeted with a toasted, earthy somewhat herbal woodsy aroma immediately backed by terpenic fruity qualities. The fruit here is not “tutti fruity” or candy like. It’s not even bright or dried. There’s an association one could make with scorched pineapple although to my nose it smells nothing like pineapple and instead a more fall time driven spiced wine effect. There’s florals here but they’re so well blended. Remember the herbal woodsy aroma I spoke about? I feel the florals blend seamlessly into the amburana and Malaysian Agarwood which creates an effect I simply haven’t smelled before. Each accord, each stage of development is so ridiculously blended that it’s hard to pick out individual notes. I would describe By and By as a spicy, warm, somewhat sweet but also effervescent offering that is seriously anchored by heavy basenotes. It’s massive. Jono has achieved something incredible here that to date no other all natural perfumer in this space has been able to do. While the blending skills of Di Ser are unmatched every fragrance from Di Ser has a delicate nature. Nothing feels massive. Yet here Jono has created expert blending but with a MASSIVE base that feels like you’re wearing an Attar however it performs like an edt in that it has serious throw and projection. The sillage is incredible and the lasting power feels like I’m wearing a Sultan Pasha. I know none of this did a good job describing By and By but I will say nothing else smells like it. The closest you could come to is maybe a cross between Josh Lobb, Sultan Pasha, Russian Adam and the perfumer behind Di Ser. It’s simply stunning and you’ll have to smell it to understand. 10/10 blending 10/10 smell (it skews unisex so to some it may feel feminine) 10/10 performance 10/10 originality This is a perfect fragrance imo

Here’s a TLDR: Scorched pineapple, torched coconut, effervescent florals, warm brown woods with brown sugar and cinnamon sprinkled in the mix, creamy yet somewhat cola-like Malaysian Oud, and a huge dose of golden ambergris that smells vanillic creamy and warm. Loads of amburana and Oud. A full olfactory experience that must be smelled to be understood. Words doesn’t do it justice. This is the scent of fall festivities and happiness. The warmth of the sun and the biting chill of the wind. It’s the smoldering embers of a bonfire made of brown sugar and the ambient aroma of holiday spirit.

Deeply disagree with Mob Barley. Is this expensive? Yes. Is it on par with Ensar’s pricing? Not at all. Ensar would charge $1500/15ml for something of this quality.
