A Fraghead's Asylum

If you like/love Elysium, this is the easiest blind buy on Earth. This is just wonderful, sweet and juicy with some floral notes. I even get some Aventus vibes like someone once mentioned in a video. I have both Elysium Cologne and Aventus so I'm no stranger to those bangers, and this is AMAZING. I'm so happy with the 100ml I just got this morning. Definitely no holding back with this bottle, because I'm going to spray this like crazy this summer. The value for what you get is incredible so you really can't miss with this one. As far as projection and performance, I'm not sure because I literally just sprayed it for the first time like 45mins ago, but I have a feeling it's going to be decent, like 6-8h, and that is all I really want from a fragrance anyways. I think I will update that part when I see how it is. -Update. The sillage is pretty average but people still noticed it a few hours later. Not sure as far as the overall performance because I think I go nose blind to this everytime but when I smell close to the skin, it's still there 8hours later. -Update. Started noticing the differences between this and my Elysium more vividly. When I pop the cap, it does fool me, but after I spray it, it kind of goes in it's own direction. Still great though.

I love Elysium, and when my decant ran out, I figured I'd have to buy a full bottle. This clone satisfies the itch so well that I don't feel the need to do that. In the first 5 minutes, it comes off a tiny bit harsh - like overly bitter grapefruit (altho I've come to love the opening now). After that it's SO close to Elysium. It nails the scent profile and even managed to capture that effervescence, that lift that Elysium has. In my experience, it outlasts the OG. Not eternal or anything, but what can you really expect from a citrus heavy Fragrance. One of the better clones in my collection. I also tried Divin Asylum. It's a little more pleasant in the first few minutes, but overall this one is much better than Divin Asylum.

Wow, they really nailed Roja Elysium with this, which is unbelievable for the price of this fragrance. Elysium is slightly more sparkling off the top than A Fraghead’s Asylum, but the scent profile is 100% there. Very happy with this blind buy. It will allow me to save my precious Elysium juice lol. Not sure about the longevity yet as I just got it today, but I’m wearing it as my scent of the day, and I’m enjoying it so far.

Strong spicy citrus opening....on drydown softens with similar notes. I didn't think k it had much projection but then my wife said wahts that smell so I realized it still projects, I must've gone noseblind to it. Can't wait for summer to see how it works in heat cause it's winter and I just got it. Seems much more like a hot summer scent, but the spicy citrus could probably pull off fall too

Some people below smell like Roja employees :-) . How anyone can say that this fragrance is weak? It ́s delicious, projects a couple of hours and lasts for around 7 hours...and I opened the bottle yesterday so I expect much better performance in the future. For 32€ it ́s a steal, it was a blind buy based on some trusted reviewers (not many) and I'm very very happy with it.

Let it macerate. Spray it a few times when you get it, scent is wonderful. If you think it's weak, come back to it a few weeks later. I've had absolutely no problems with longevity or projection. Honestly stronger than elysium, own both. Maybe some people go noseblind, but I promise it's not weak. Great scent and great performance for the price.

Definitely has Roja Elysium vibes , hard to tell how close it it's , maybe like 80-85% . Performance is nice and projects moderately, but it's winter and i just opened fragrance . Overall, recommend it

This is a really good clone of elysium. Comparing them side by side to my sample..elysium is a touch sharper, a little more pronounced and blended slightly better. The citrus “sparkle” is really the only thing lacking here in direct comparison, as where fomo sits a little flatter but not off putting by any means. Something you would expect from a fragrance that costs 170 dollars more even at discounted prices. What you wouldn’t automatically expect from Fragheads asylum though is how bang on the profile is. The opening/heart does not have quite the sparkle elysium has but the dry down is very very close, and smells very close in the air. This can easily replace elysium in your collection if it isn’t a holy grail for you. I really enjoy this profile and was considering buying the name brand for weeks, but I saw these dropped again on fragrancebuy and decided to at least try this for 29 USD. I’m glad I did because this one is close enough to the vibe of elysium and it evokes the same feeling when I put this one on. Performance is very similar, about 6-7 hours on skin maybe 8 on a hot day, and very solid projection for the first 3-4. At worse this will make an elysium bottle last much longer if I do end up buying it. But honestly I just don’t see that happening considering there’s other freshy’s in my collection that I love that come with a high price tag and that do not have dupes that smell this good. Really a fantastic fragrance for the price and if it had a Gucci or Prada logo slapped on the front I don’t think many people would bat an eyelash at this quality for around 75 to 90 dollars after a discount. Perfect for summer, spring, and nice fall days. Probably a solid one at the gym for sure. Office safe. Perhaps something more fitting for a guy in their later 20s and up, high amounts of vetiver always gives off a mature nature to me, but that is very subjective. Would 10/10 recommend if looking for a cheaper alternative to elysium. Smell- 8/10 Performance- 7/10 Versatility-8.5/10

An excellent alternative to the original. I purchased a decant of Elysium Pour Homme to compare with A Fraghead's Asylum. I did the same for FOMO's Illusion D'un Soir, comparing it to MFK Grand Soir. Something I have found about both FOMO's is the opening's are somewhat harsh. This does not last long, I just feel it is note worthy since the opening of Elysium is quite pleasant from the start. I wouldn't dock points for this. Both fragrances are characterized by a prominent citrusy profile with aromatic nuances, evoking a certain aerosol-like quality. Elysium's rendition of citrus strikes me as slightly more authentic and expertly blended, capturing the essence of zesty citrus peel mist with remarkable precision. Asylum, while impressive in its own right, falls just short of achieving the same level of realism. I tested both on skin and clothes. Elysium performs well on my skin and clothes, while I Asylum did not perform as well on my skin, however performed well on my clothes. Considering the significant price disparity—with Asylum costing around $30 and Elysium commanding a price tag exceeding $200 even at discounters—I am more than satisfied with the more budget-friendly option. Given that it belongs to the citrus fragrance category, I personally wouldn't justify the substantial investment for Elysium. 7.5/10

REVIEWER: Professional gentleman in his 60's with the mature, masculine, old-school tastes one would expect from a fellow my age. These are just one man's not so humble opinions. Your mileage may vary. Normally my reviews are much longer. The longevity of this one will be as brief as the fragrance. A Fragheads Asylum (AFA) by FOMO FRAGRANCE: After SEVERAL months of required maturation the smell of AFA has become decently wearable. PERFORMANCE: The sillage is minimal. The longevity is ridiculously brief. Like 30 minutes. VERSATILITY: If it had better performance I'd wear this all year, night and day. But it's too weak and pitiful to reach for. ALTERNATIVE: If you want a MUCH better Elysium clone that is: much more accurate, with ALL the notes of the OG (AFA has 8 notes, OG has 22), is stronger, more complex, has TWICE the longevity at HALF the cost of AFA, I highly recommend Imperium by Fragrance World. The comparison is stark, indeed. I've never smelled Elysium, but I've had this for a while now, and I can tell you that it smells awesome and unlike anything else I have. The opening is a sparkling, tangy, peppered citrus while the dry down is creamy and intoxicating. The vetiver is blended just right for my taste. It makes me want to try the original, but honestly, I'm happy to stick with this since the price to value is excellent. I'd hate to be disappointed by the real deal. I've also got FOMO's rendition of Dior Homme Parfum, and it smells incredible as well. Recommend.

Decent imitation of Elysium Pour Homme Cologne. Performance is on the weak side unfortunately. More lemon forward with Black Currant but to the untrained nose it's close enough. Starts off promising but fades quickly to a skin scent in an hour or so and barely noticeable after 4. Alexandra's Zion is still the top contender IMHO. This works for a great gift idea to a younger kid in High School or College. Priced at $25-$30 it's worth it if that's your budget.

I like it. I have no experience on Elysium. Fresh and easy going modern mens fragrance. I get mainly the citrus, pepper and vetiver. Great daily driver for warmer weather.

This is a good dupe, but not quite as effervescent or sweet as Imperium from Fragrance World, but it does have slightly better longevity.

In my lineup I already have Fragrance World Imperium, Imperium Intense, and Maison Alhambra Spectrum. I’ve just added FOMO “A Fraghead’s Asylum.” Hype & positioning YouTube often hails Asylum as a strong *clone/twist*. After testing, I’d personally file it under twist: the vibe is there (fresh–aromatic, clean, modern), but the facets feel a bit different from the usual Elysium-style takes. Performance & sillage (on my skin) As interesting as it is, performance and sillage are weak for me. Even with a visibly oily spray film, it’s barely noticeable after ~30 minutes. This matches a lot of the reviews I’ve read—so it’s not just my nose. Whether that’s due to the oily texture or how the top is dosed—hard to say; it just vanishes fast on my skin. Layering idea Precisely because of that oily character, Asylum might work well as a micro-base: * 1–2 sprays Asylum straight on skin, * add a brighter citrus as top-coat, * or boost it with a more projecting Elysium-style scent (e.g., Imperium/Imperium Intense) on top, * optionally Molecule 01 to smooth edges and help diffusion. On clothing I get slightly better persistence, but still nothing dramatic. I blind bought this last year. And I forgot I had it because I didn't wear it again. I don't know what Elysium Roja Smells like. That being said, this fragrance is really synthetic, it has a certain ashiness to it. I left it macerating for a year in my dark closet. Still smells the same. Maybe my nose is broken because I do not smell any sprite description and bubbly sensation people describe. There is some good lemon at the top, but I really don't like this take as a clone. I don't recommend it.

On my skin, this is a very weak fragrance. For the most part, this is a skin scent for me. Scent is ok, but won't be buying again. Scent - 6/10 Performance - 2/10

I fell for the youtube hype on this and bought last year. It has terrible performance and not a great smell but I managed to use about 2 thirds of it and thought to myself why am I still using it? The opening is OK but that's about it, it has a weird dry down which I think is trying to replicate vetiver but it's just horrible and a bad clone of elysium frankly. Imperium by fragrance world is so much more pleasant and I know it also doesn't last that long as well but it is miles better than this and a lot closer to elysium so I will be repurchasing that one as its a fantastic gym scent.
