Fraglover's Tea

This was in heavy rotation this past summer. I wanted to add some more notes now that I have had a few months with it. Upon opening, it misses the sweet rich candied violet leaf that greets you upon application of Gucci Pour Homme II, but once GPH2 hits the middle notes and drydown, it's very similar to this. Beautiful black tea, florals, clove/cinnamon, musk and cedar are the stars just like GPH2 Longevity is much better than GPH2 (8-10 hours on skin) although the projection it gives is soft and intimate just like the OG, combination of these aspects are a good thing in my opinion: I love when I can smell a frag on myself all day but it doesn't scream to every other person in the room. I do recommend over-spraying, this is claimed to be an Extrait du Parfum, but it definitely doesn't scream like most. This is an extremely versatile fragrance and should work 24/7/365. I might layer it with Hanae Mori HiM EDP in the winter to give it some extra depth. As a bonus, HiM also features those missing opening notes from GPH2 that FLT is lacking (albeit throughout its life, as HiM is rather linear). This boosts the musk in the drydown and features some beautiful florals not found in GPH2 or it's clones that make FLT more unisex. I have read reviews stating that some users had strange experiences of green notes in the opening, I can't validate these reports: I have a bottle from the first batch and one from the second batch and while they get a bit smoother after oxidizing, I haven't experienced those strange green notes. I'm wondering if that could be the alleged camphor note listed in the pyramid above. I was unable to pick up on it. For the money, it's a fantastic deal, assuming you can find it for MSRP. I believe Fomo will continue making this for a while: they have some line about making these as limited runs on their website, but all of the ones that have sold well seem to still be in production. I bought a backup just in case. 9/10 frag

TEA!!!!!! Wow, great frag. I just received it so this is a first impressions review. It is Tea and smells like nothing else I have (about 400)... It is soft and I am just not sure what type of projection and longevity this is going to have. I am hoping that it will macerate over the next couple of months and come on a little stronger because the scent is great! A pronounced TEA note is what I am getting, very unique and I will wear it. (not just a collectable) FYI - I blind bought both of the new FOMO's from Fragbuy. This one is 80% man but could be worn by a woman, heavily leans masculine. But "Fomo Other World" is 97% Feminine. You can never say 100% either way because of skin chemistry and the fact that frags are subjective and there are no right or wrongs when it comes to our personal preferences. Back to Tea, this is a great frag and blind buy safe if you like TEA, and it is a great Tea. Frag buy offered a blind buy 20% off if you blind bought both and you did not know what you were buying. (a true blind buy like never before) Of course I bought both and I am glad I did. I normally would not choose "Tea" and certainly not a female perfume (unless I was specifically buying my wife a perfume which I do do), and I am so glad I did. I got a unique great Tea frag and my wife likes her new bottle of "Other World" as well! EDIT - 5 hours in. Scent is gone. Just on the off chance I was nose blind, my wife just got home from work and I asked her if she liked my newest fragrance. She said what fragrance, put it on and I will let you know. So I reappled and she said - "Wow, you smell like sweet Tea, I like it" In Texas we drink sweet Tea, that is just what most of the folks call it here.... LOL....

A pretty damn awesome Gucci Pour Homme II inspiration. Saved me damn near 300 bucks looking for the original as the differences, while there, are pretty marginal. But you get the bonus addition of 2 or 3 extra hours over the Gucci II, which many people trying Fraglovers Tea may be overlooking. The OG was a muted performer that gave me 5 hours at a stretch. The Fomo gets me minimum 7 to 8 hours, the first 90 mins its very vibrant and present before gradually subsiding. Strong tea note, very green with a clean musk baseline. The listed Note Pyramid seems a little off as I dont get camphor, rose, plum or clove. Deconstructing the notes is very subjective, but this runs light citrus top, with a strong black tea note that dominates from top to bottom, and the greeness coming in from the Violet leaf which was present in the OG and is present in this, just not listed. Unless Camphor + Clove + Rose = Violet leaf.... Any way, if your blood pressure is high wear this. Road rage? Wear this. Your lady got the decorators in? Wear this. It oozes the famed and oft repeated Zen like attributes of the original. It's fresh, clean, calming, masculine energy that didnt just come from a candy store, pancake shop or powder puff convention. Sniffing the Gucci II in 2026 is an ode to simpler times. Fraglovers Tea respects it and pays homage. "Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication" - da Vinci. Leo knew. 9/10

I’ve never smelled Gucci Pour Homme II, and honestly? I don’t care anymore—because Fraglover’s Tea is a masterpiece in its own right. The opening hits with a blast of black tea so sharp and bold it feels like a samurai just sliced a Lipton bag in mid-air. But don’t panic—it dries down into one of the most versatile, masculine, quietly confident scents I’ve worn. It’s the olfactory equivalent of a man who wears linen in winter and somehow pulls it off. I’ve worn this to the office, on a date, at the gas station—compliments came from all directions, male and female. One guy even asked me what I was wearing while we were waiting for coffee, and that’s usually sacred silence time. That’s the power of the tea. Projection? Average, but perfect. It doesn’t scream—it speaks. It’s like a voice that doesn’t raise its volume but still gets everyone’s attention. Longevity is subtly above average—you won’t smell it the whole day, but people will catch whiffs when it matters most. Like a secret handshake for your nose. And let’s talk price. When it’s in stock—it’s a total steal. You could blind buy two, keep one, and gift the other to someone you like just enough to smell good around you. This is what James Bond, wearing a turtleneck, would smell like. Class. Smooth. Timeless. And just unpredictable enough to keep you hooked

Got my hands on a full bottle. FINALLY, someone nailed the GPH2 DNA! I have tried 4 different clones of GPH2, and this is the only one that really nails that beautiful black tea opening, but also the light airiness of the original. I do really enjoy the other clones, but they are all much sweeter and all almost gourmandy with the strong cinnamon and vanillin. I love this stuff and it will be in heavy rotation this summer. A bit rough on the initial spray fom my unmacerated bottle, but quickly corrects course after a few minutes. I didn't have this issue with my decant so I'm not too worried, it just needs some time. Longevity is great for a warm weather frag, easy 8 hours on skin. Great projection for the first 2 hours, a relaxing scent bubble for and additional 3-4 hours before becoming a very pleasant skin scent. This is an extremely versatile fragrance, can be worn year round, although I think I will likely later it with Hanae Mori HiM EDP or the Alexandria PH2 clone in the colder months to give it some more depth. There's a beautiful muskiness to this fragrance in the drydown, leading to a more unisex appeal than previous clones I've tried and I really like this. Fomo just shipped a new batch to several websites that service USA and Canada, so don't pay crazy prices for it. 9/10

I owned last GPHII bottle around 10 years ago and it was my favorite scent in college times. But it was a decade ago, so I don't remember it perfectly. Opening for sure is different. As one person in comments mentioned, GPHII opening was fantastic, so I was disappointed at first. It smells like freshly cutted grass and raw carrots, but after dry down is definitely very close to GPHII. Right after discontinuation of Gucci I bought Nikos Sculpture Homme God'S Night and still have some few ml left, and FOMO for me did it better. We will see how it would smell after few weeks of maturation, but I am definitely satisfied. In my memory original smelled If you like Gucci like I did, this is very good replacement in my opinion, especially for the price of 35 dollars.

Finally received my bottle and WOOOOOW ! FOMO does it again and brings us another discontinued gem ! The moment I sprayed this, I was transported to 2008. This is the closest thing to 100% match I’ve ever encountered in the clone world. I was a bit nervous when I saw the rose note in the breakdown thinking this was gonna be a twist but this is an exact copy of GPH II. I can finally stop dreading every spray of my OG bottle and switch to this. Thank you FOMO for bringing us yet another discontinued masterpiece to relive. All the notes highlighted by the tea note are spot on and 8hrs later I still get whiffs of the test spray I applied on my hand. I can tell this will have superb longevity like FOMO Envy does.

Gucci PHII on steroids Coming from someone who really enjoyed the Gucci Pour Homme II DNA, this is very very similar.. I find this to be a stronger take on the orignial.. This one also comes off way more green than the original as well.. Great versatility.. Can be worn year around. I will have to see how this compares to Hanae Mori HIM EDT as that one is one of my favorites in the Gucci Pour Homme II space.. Off the top of my mind, where this one is more green, the Hanae Mori is more cinnamon spice forward which I enjoy more to be honest.. This is really good stuff nonetheless! Rating 8.1/10

Got a decant and really like it. I have a few other GPH2 clones and FLT seems to capture the lightness of GPH2 that the others don't. FLT is very long lasting and nuanced with several layers, but isn't very heavy like some of the other clones: Hanae Mori HiM EDP is a darker take, and Dua's Mancard VIP is too strong for my liking, but lasts a very long time. Both of those clones are more cold weather frags than spring/summer. If anyone wants to sell their bottle of FLT (full or partial) or trade for something in my collection, let me know.

Yep... Literally been on this site for over 10 years now and I had to make a profile just to review this fragrance. With that being said, happy to be a part of the community now! Anyways; Fraglovers Tea is about as close to GPHII as you can possibly get. Just a beautiful scent. The initial spray is about as green as a Craftsman push mower but just give it a couple of minutes. The Tea comes out to STAY! I don’t get a ton of projection from it but it sticks around for hours. Well done, FOMO

The initial opening for the first 5 minutes is a bit different from GPHII, it is more green/herbal. But after those 5 mins, going into the dry down, it is extremely close like 90%. It also performs way stronger than the original. Projects far and the longevity is a solid 8 hours. GPHII is one of my favorite scent profiles of all time and this definitely satisfies that itch for me. Highly recommended.

I can’t think of any tea fragrances other than GPH2 or SMW that’ll garner enough hype for FOMO to recreate them. I’m hoping they continue giving us discontinued gems like they did with ENVY and in hindsight- the original DHP (Gary’s Den). This seems to have some of the same notes as GPH2 but there’s no Rose or Plum in that. Whatever it is, I’m sure FOMO won’t let us down.

I love this! Fantastic scent. Not familiar with the OG, but this is just wonderful on its own. Perfect for Spring, Summer, Fall. My only complaint is the longevity. For an extrait de parfum, it does fade away fairly quickly on my skin. I get approx 3-5 hours before it turns into a skin scent. Scent - 9/10 Performance - 6/10

Got mine today. Fantastic scent. Don’t have anything like this in my collection yet really. Tea note is noticeable but not overdone imo. And all the FOMO’s only get better after the first spray and after sitting for a few weeks. Very happy with this blind buy! Think a lot of folks will enjoy this one.

Classy, smooth, comfy...it is a fragrance done well! The green opening is the beginning feels so fresh and it evolves to a smooth and classy fragrance. Caught myself sniffing my hand frequent when putting on this one

I wish it last longer but it does out preforms Parfums Vintage so called extreme quality twist.

What can you say , a better stronger version of gucci pour homme 2.good job.

GPH II is one of my most favorite fragrances of all time, I have one I'm still working through and a boxed backup and I don't do backups very often at all. So, I wore the OG on one arm and Fraglovers Tea on my other to compare. The opening is quite different, which is a shame as GPH II opening is one of the best ever. I would guess FLT is using some rather different aromachems to try to mimic and this is where its most obvious they are different. On the dry down things get a lot closer but FLT has this drier peppery soapy tone to it than GPH II did and you can clearly smell the quality difference. As a scent profile in the air they are quite similar but I think even a non fragheads nose would be able to tell they are different. The main difference is that where GPH II goes fruity warm spices, FLT goes cool clean woods, and this is more obvious as time goes on. So its a little bit of a tonal shift. Considering that GPH II is gone now and the price of FLT is small I think this is a success, but Hanae Mori HiM also exists and while that is different to GPH II too it may pull off the spirit of it a little better.

Hits in the opening with a green vibe that I’m not a fan of to be honest. Kind of reminds me of dirty fresh tea leaves. As it dries down it gets much smoother, and enjoyable. You start to get a sweet, spicy nuance mixing with the tea that creates a pleasant bubble around you. I find it a very calming fragrance. Performance was decent in my experience, like 6 hours longevity with medium projection. Definitely gets the job done.

I hate the opening it’s too green and kinda smells like bitter greens or grass. After 10 min that weird green smell almost completely goes away and it’s 90-95% similar to GPHII.

Today I am heading over to Fragrancebuy's in-house brand, FOMO, to review one of their newer offerings: Fraglover's Tea. This composition is explicitly crafted as a clone of Gucci Pour Homme II (GPH II), a discontinued fragrance revered as a lost treasure in the community and often commanding prices upwards of $500-$600 on the secondary market. As I have no prior experience with the original GPH II—and am certainly not one to spend that kind of money on an untested scent—I am hopeful that Fraglover's Tea might provide a similar experience and prove to be a successful blind buy. Let's get into it. Opening: The opening is green, mineralic, and floral. The primary notes I get are black tea, olive tree, rose, and plum, with the black tea and olive tree being the standout notes. The black tea starts the fragrance with a dry, green, and herbal accord. While black tea often brings to mind the soft, ethereal tones of Louis Vuitton's Imagination, the presentation here is entirely different: it is much drier, greener, and more astringent. The black tea is joined by the olive tree—a note I have not previously encountered. It adds more greenery to the opening but with a distinctly sharp, mineralic, and slightly bitter undertone. Up next is the rose and plum. The rose acts as a supporting note, providing a gentle but persistent floral tone that leans toward the soft and powdery side of the rose spectrum. Lastly, the plum adds a touch of fruity sweetness in the background; not enough to overwhelm any of the other notes, but just enough to be noticeable. Dry Down: The dry down is green, woody, and mineralic. The primary notes I get are black tea, olive tree, cedar, and rose, with the black tea and olive tree remaining the most prominent notes. In the dry down, the black tea maintains its green and herbal nature but has softened slightly, becoming closer in tone to the black tea found in Imagination. Meanwhile, the olive tree has retained its sharp, mineralic accord, evolving to become almost metallic in its presentation—reminiscent of the metallic tinge I got from the seaweed note in Bond No. 9's Wall Street, but without the aquatics. This is followed by the cedar and rose. The cedar has emerged to provide a solid dose of dry, masculine woodiness without any of the typical "pencil shaving" or "lumberyard" undertones. Lastly, the rose has held on into the dry down, providing just a whisper of the soft and powdery floral tones from the opening. Performance: The initial projection within the first hour is strong and reaches out about six feet. The sillage is very strong and leaves a heavy scent trail. After a few hours, the projection was unchanged while the scent trail was a bit lighter but still easily noticeable. Around the seven-hour mark, the projection had died down to about three to four feet, and the scent trail was lighter but still noticeable. The fragrance ultimately became a skin scent around the eight-hour mark. When to Wear: Fraglover's Tea is a spring/summer fragrance suitable for both daytime and evening wear. It is fairly versatile in its utility and can be worn for casual, special, or formal occasions. It could also be a decent pick for office wear, but caution is advised against overspraying due to the noticeable metallic accord from the olive tree. Blind Buy: I wouldn't classify Fraglover's Tea as a safe blind buy, as it does not present a tried-and-true or mass-appeal scent profile, and the metallic tinge of the olive tree note will be off-putting to some. However, if you enjoy fresh, green, and woody fragrances, this might be worth sampling. Final Verdict: As I stated, I have no experience with Gucci Pour Homme II and must assess Fraglover's Tea solely on its own merits. Based on that evaluation, I would say this fragrance is decent but nothing particularly groundbreaking. The black tea note is green, fresh, and reminiscent of Imagination, but I feel the novel olive tree note does more harm than good in this composition. It comes across as too sharp and metallic, detracting from the otherwise pleasant vibe. Performance was respectable for a fresh fragrance, projecting hard for the first few hours and lasting just long enough to see one through a full workday. However, given its advertising as an Extrait de Parfum concentration, one would reasonably expect better than average longevity. Ultimately, I can't classify Fraglover's Tea as a successful blind buy. It's an okay fragrance, but that metallic edge is off-putting enough to me that I will likely not wear it again. Scent: 7/10 Longevity: 7/10 Sillage: 8/10 Versatility: High Mass Appeal: Gender: Masculine Value: Great value

I don't know the original so I'm just gonna say what I think about this one without having a reference. To me it's very sweet and fruity, I honestly don't get much of tea on my skin which is disappointing as I was hoping for a solid tea fragrance based on the hyped reviews below. What I do get a lot, especially at the beginning is most likely the camphor which is not bad and unfortunately quite a lot of clove which I pretty much hate in general. The fragrance reminds me quite a lot of dried fruit compote (a traditional Polish drink). It is very linear, does not change much but also lasts rather short with poor projection. Not a bad choice for spring and summer maybe with exception of really hot days. I got mine for ~35eur so I guess I got what I paid for. Not going to reach for it often - I've got plenty of better fragrances and there's no nostalgia factor in my case.

After first spray. NOTHING!!! the smell is ok. Kinda a lighter essence de blanc. I’m personally not a fan of that either. Maybe I’m just not a tea scent lover. But the projection for those of you who are is dismal. Just thought I’d warn y’all . If this improves I will update review. I don’t do many but I wish I would have not bought this one. Maybe this will help someone.

Initial impression: Smells great, has parts of the Narciso Rodrigues for him edt, I mean the violet and also the Dior Fahrenheit edt, there's that astringency, peaking trough when it dries for a bit, about 20 minutes in, and then it made me smile, my collection is about 400 bottles, I stopped counting and cataloging it at some point and it is recently rare that a fragrance that I sample makes me smile. I have never sampled the OG Gucci but this is a well made fragrance, especially for the price. I was already thinking about customizing my bottle (it's not bad, just the font choice is not ideal), I am an artist and the bottle feels a bit unattractive, maybe they could have a simpler box and instead have better fonts on the bottle. Just a thought. I will probably design a label, the bottle gives me creed aventus vibes so maybe I will opt for a similar style label. Initial performance rating: I feel like you may need to overspray a bit with it, which from a commercial point of view makes sense for the brand, as it insures that fans will get backups and buy more. For the price I am not complaining, especially since the OG wasn't as strong as this is, from what I could gather online. So no complains, average performance but good enough to get a backup bottle. Conclusion: I would buy it again.

I never smelled Gucci Pour Homme II, so I can't comment on the similarities. What I can say, however, is that I own hundreds of fragrances, and this one doesn't really overlap with anything I own. So, it is "niche" in this way. Scrolling down, I see this sentiment confirmed by other users: ttownfant says "smells like nothing else I have (about 400)" and user Blakblud77 says "Don’t have anything like this in my collection yet really. " It's also pretty pleasing and non-offensive. I can see people using this regularly. So, it is also "designer" in the best way as well. A pretty safe buy.

Welcome 2 The Tea Party I remember years ago smelling GPH2 I don’t recall it being this potent. Which is okay. But I’d say to my memory it’s about 80% on the opening, and about 90% on the dry down. This one will project, and last. I got just on my hand 10hrs of Longevity, and 2 1/2 hrs of projecting. You have to like Black Tea, Plum, and Clove. Enjoy. Give this a spray you might just get a second bottle.

Dior Homme Parfum is a master piece Iris fragrance. Gucci Pour Homme II is a master piece tea fragrance. Pour Homme II has sentimental value to me, now I have something that I can use without worrying about emptying my Gucci bottle.

Ordered mine ASAP and got it today. As I have both this and the original, I can confirm it's Gucci Pour Homme II. I haven't spent near enough time with it for a full review, but damn does that tea note come through bright and clear.

Smells like grass. If you’re an old guy that goes to art exhibits then maybe this for you. Smells nothing like Gucci pour homme. Missing the soft warmness. This is definitely not a blind buy. Giving this garbage away, waste of money

I ordered it and I can't wait to get it in hand. Fomo crushed it out of the park with The Envy Of Fomo. I have a good feeling with this soon to be release. I would love for them to give us a YSL M7 dupe.

I’ve had this for a while and I can’t get by the green opening. I’m going to give it more time but that opening I do not like. Hopefully it macerates into what others have said.

I love what FOMO is doing, bringing back nostalgic scents that have been discontinued for years. Hopefully they will do Tsar next.
