ok despite what the longevity reviews may say, this is one of the longest lasting perfumes ive ever had. in october 2024 i was in a bike accident and broke my leg. i had to be transferred to a secondary hospital to get a surgical implant in said leg, and after 3 days in the hospital and post-orthopedic surgery i could Still smell it on my skin and discarded clothes. granted i hadnt showered, but still i feel like this perfume is in a category of its own for me. its smokey, woody, wet and rainy.. like truly truly paints this smell-o-vision picture of being in a dense forest right after a rain shower, someone has a fire going in a cabin nearby. i can smell the petrichor, the wet pine, the resin from the trees, the rotting leaves on the wet ground. ive lived in in the PNW my entire life, so its a really nostalgic scent to me legit one of the best scents ive ever had and i get compliments on it constantly. i also find that it layers very well with other woody/smokey/warm perfumes, for me i like pairing it with Get a Room by Confessions of a Rebel. i want to personally kiss whoever made this perfume on the mouth sloppy style because truly theyve changed my life

Photo-realistic deciduous forest in October. Damp ground littered with multi-orange leaves for miles! A pleasant dose of tree bark, and a gentle cozy atmospheric sweetness in the background. Feels like a sunny day after lots of rain when you can smell water evaporating from the foliage as it starts to dry. This is a pleasing scent and easy to love! This house has many scents like that, strange enough to be remarkable but well blended enough to have wide appeal. Black Iris, French Oakmoss, Fireside Story, & London Fog are all in that realm. Tho they do have a few intentional challengers for the oddity collectors & they are so good! To smell these little creatures head straight to Gorgon, Vixen, and Siren.

more fresh on the opening than i anticipated- crisp forest air in the morning dew, fog still among the pine. petrichor, pine, and earth. as it develops, settles into decay in a similar fashion to leaves themselves. the soil notes and decayed leaves become more prominent, and the scent becomes more dryer as though stepping on and crunching dried leaves. dries into something earthy, woody, and green. however, this process happens relatively quickly, and the oil base has the scent start enormously strong but quickly become intimate. faint, though that could be personal habituation, but it was disappointing to fade so fast.

this perfume... wow. i am so glad i got this sample! it smells like a photo-realistic forest, so so beautiful. i haven't smelt a perfume like it. the only problem is that i found this at the wrong time! it's now summer in the southern hemisphere, and this scent doesn't particularly make sense for the weather now, but i will definitely be wearing this way more as autumn approaches and buy a new bottle. so good. new fave.

Damp, dark, mossy forest floor with soggy brown leaves and pine needles. A lil incensey and woody. Perfect for a chilly overcast day. Glad to see FSW is on Fragrantica, they’re local to my city and I adore everything from their collection. This one is my fave

Hyperrealistic scent of decaying leaves. The smell ignites the visual of a deep green, soaked forest, ridden with moss, trampled leaves, bugs, and the early moments of autumn. I find this extremely comforting. However, it is not a safe blind-buy.

I wore this when I lived in a basement with 1x1 foot windows. I would rub it into my sweaters and sheets for comfort. I’m wearing it again now and I love it like how I did then.

Can't comment on whether this smells like a forest (I live in Australia and our bushland is a little different here; forests to me smells like eucalyptus oil and dry dirt haha) but I suppose it does smell like nature. Hard to put my finger on what part of nature specifically. Dries off quite animalic on me, like what someone's scalp would smell like at the end of the day – which sounds weird, but I don't hate it. This is probably one of the most non-perfume perfumes I have ever tried in a sense that there's nothing about it that smells synthetic or not naturally occurring, if that makes sense. I quite like that. The longevity is not the best. I have a little sample I've been trialling for a few weeks now and maybe since the oil is new, this is why the longevity is so-so. I have other perfume oils from the brand that are older and have noticed their longevity and sillage improving with age, so hopefully the same will happen here.

I'm an archaeologist, which means I spend A LOT of time in the bush, kneeling on the ground, and digging in the dirt. In my expert opinion, this smells exactly like the PNW forest floor in late fall. If I didn't spend so much of my time smelling that for free, I would definitely be considering buying a bottle. It's so unique, and I think anyone who enjoys woody/earthy scents would love to add this one to their collection. I do think it's something you need to get a sample of instead of blind buying though - the whole hyper-realistic rotting leaves vibe isn't for everyone.

A really good damp, dead leaf smell. Like if you went into the woods, lifted up a layer of the forest floor, and crawled in. I think it smells so true to the woods, I sometimes think it has an overlying mud smell. Really love it, I'm always on the search for more dirt scents!

A very pretty scent, but I don't get rain, mossiness, or petrichor at all. It's entirely spices and resins with woody notes. It's not too sweet, but it's not a very realistic fallen leaves scent (on my skin, at least).

smells like london fog but once it really dries down its more like wet forest. its alright not as strong as i prefer

I got a few samples and I’m so disappointed. At first I was SO excited, the opening of this smells like an earl grey tea. The dry down has this becoming a powdery, old lady fragrance. I get some wood notes as well, but beyond that I just find it overwhelmingly aged and headache inducing. Little to no sillage.

smells like my grandpa's aftershave :( honestly i was quite excited for this one! but on me it smells exactly like aftershave. pretty flat, got none of the notes. lasts longer than my other FSW scents, though. I'm normally not opposed to a masculine scent but this one is a bit too chemically for me.

I am so sad to say, but I hate this perfume. I bought it in November as a birthday present to myself (November baby/Scorpio). I was totally sold on the marketing. This brand does a lovely job at creating a story and aesthetic behind each of their fragrances. I was hoping for wet forest floor vibes here (ozonic, mossy, oaky), but got grandpa. It reminds me of a really strong Ralph Lauren cologne my dad used to wear. My mom described it as, "Ew, that smells like a stinky man at a bar. Don't wear that." I would have to agree with her. I love this brand, so I am going to try a different scent from them.
